Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello, my name is Natasha Nabanunga-Bamblett. I'm a proud Yorta Yorta, Kernai, Wolperi and Awadjeri woman. And before we get started on She's on the Money podcast, I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land of which this podcast is recorded on Awadjeri country, acknowledging the elders, the ancestors and the next generation coming through. As this podcast is about connecting, empowering, knowledge sharing and the storytelling of you to make a difference for today and lasting impact for tomorrow. Let's get into it. She's on the money. She's on the money.
Starting point is 00:00:37 hello and welcome to she's on the money the podcast for millennials who want to go to taylor Swift. Today is Friday, which means it is time to get the team together and celebrate you, our incredible She's On The Money community. Today, we're going to be sharing our favorite money wins. We're going to be helping to answer a very juicy money dilemma, which this week is all about emergency funds for travel. And we're going to be unpacking something you slid into our DMs about. And this week, we're going to be chatting about should you pay when someone else is driving you and you get a fine, which I think is going to get a little bit spicy. But my friends, Bec, you're here.
Starting point is 00:01:34 Miss Jessica Ricci, you're here as always. How have your weeks been? Mine has been so relaxing. It's a four-day work week and I'm just on cloud nine. You know how much you love your job? A four-day work week will always be the best thing ever. Yes, 100%. So true.
Starting point is 00:01:51 So it's been, yeah, super chill. Too chill. How good. Yeah. I'm still eating Easter eggs. Are you, guys? We literally have Easter eggs on the desk right now And Jess has brought in those American marshmallow rabbit things.
Starting point is 00:02:04 The peeps. Sorry, the peeps. They're not rabbits. I think they're chickens. I don't know what they are. Little birdies. But Jess, you always embrace a festive season. How was your Easter?
Starting point is 00:02:13 So good. My little fresh baby nephew got dressed up in a little rabbit costume. Did you eat him? I would have eaten him. He was delicious and ever so edible. But no, it was really fun. It was so good. Family time, lots of chocolate.
Starting point is 00:02:28 I don't know what else you could possibly ask for really. How good. Mine was very, very similar. Lots of babies. Yes. Lots of kids around. Lots of making sure that there was some dinner on the table by 5.30 PM, which I am not used to. There was way more screaming in our household over the weekend than has ever been before, if I'm being honest. But it was really, really good. And I have decided to plan my Barbie birthday party. Yeah, we've planned our Barbie birthday party and Jessica Ricci has said that she will also sell a kidney for a Taylor Swift ticket when they come out. It's all happening today.
Starting point is 00:03:02 We're very excited. If Taylor Swift is listening to this podcast. Which she's not. I would shit myself. I don't know, guys. I think she might. She's like, hey, I'm literally worth hundreds of millions if you give me some budget tips.
Starting point is 00:03:17 She kind of wants to know how to budget. I don't know. She's a girl's girl. Like if anyone's going to support the girlies, I'm convinced of Taylor Swift. So, you know, you never know. We could basically say that we're endorsed by Taylor Swift, if that's the case. Let's move on before we get into some PR issues.
Starting point is 00:03:33 Jessica, you have some community money wins for us. Can you do a little quick whip around of your faves from this week? Sure can. A bit of a self-care theme this week. So my first money win comes from Rihanna, who said, money win, one of my girlfriends who used to study skincare offered to give me an at-home facial and teach me how to look after my specific skin type on a budget. I've been finding it so hard to justify my expensive
Starting point is 00:03:55 cosmeceutical skincare with the rising cost of living, so this came at the perfect time. How good. Can we have that list? Yeah, we could. I'm actually taking applications for new friends who have cosmetics licences. If you would like to give me facials at home,
Starting point is 00:04:08 I'm willing to take that sacrifice. Love that. My next money win came from Jess who said, I booked all of my Europe accommodation using ShopBack. Total game changer. Anyone who's lucky enough to be booking a holiday, I would be making sure you get your cash back because you will save yourself a pretty penny. My next money win came from Rebecca who said,
Starting point is 00:04:28 I randomly thought I would check Depop for the dress I've been eyeing off for an upcoming wedding and I found the exact dress in my size for a third of the price. Ah, how good. And it had only been listed 12 hours earlier. Oh my gosh, the timing is perfect. Immaculate. My next money win is from Alana who said, I desperately needed a massage and went to the massage clinic at a TAFE
Starting point is 00:04:49 where students practice a one-hour remedial massage on you for only $15. Sorry, what? Oh, that is a great idea. Let's go. All that was required at the end is filling out a feedback form on how the student went. It was an amazing experience and not to mention a relaxing one. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:05:04 That's actually the biggest money win of the year. You can't even buy anything for $15 these days. If you're in Melbourne, there is a TAFE. I think it's a beauty clinic on... It's in the city. It's in the city. You're talking about... It's near Flinders.
Starting point is 00:05:17 Ellie Lucas? I think so, yeah. Yeah, I used to go there and get like my eyelashes tinted or like facials and stuff. You can get massages. Yeah, I'm sure you can. Okay. Oh my God, I'm so keen. Look up your local type.
Starting point is 00:05:30 It's a lot cheaper. And honestly, if anything, I feel like they're going to be better because they're trying, like they're practicing, they're at school, they're trying really hard to be good and do their best possible job. 100%. Also on that, I think it's important. So my hairdresser, Boda, I'm obsessed with them. They've obviously got salons everywhere, but I go to the one in Richmond.
Starting point is 00:05:47 if you follow hairdressers on Instagram often they'll post things like oh we need a hair model for this or we need like a hair model for a blow wave and the other day I saw the boat I had done like oh we need like three blow wave models and I was like if I was free I would take the free blow wave yeah like can you imagine they do highlights and stuff too I'm pretty sure when I was younger I got my highlights done once for free because I needed someone to practice so it's a good idea to follow your favorite hairdresser and like keep an eye on their stories and see if they are ever wanting a hair model or anything because you might end up with a free haircut, free hair color, or even like a severely discounted one at best.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Huge. Anyway, that's my hot tip for the week. I really like that. It's actually very, very smart. That's a good one. I don't know if everyone does it, but I do know Boda does. So Boda. Incredible.
Starting point is 00:06:31 I'd get in on it. Next money win comes from Zoe, who said money win. I went and got East chocolate for half price. Lint bunnies were $4 and my favorite Ferrero Rocher mini eggs were $3.25 a packet. Genius. Did you plant that? I did not. That's from Zoe.
Starting point is 00:06:45 That's from Zoe. Zoe said it. Not just in her fake account. Are you sure? It's a bit too convenient. It's a little bit convenient, isn't it? Jess, how many packets of Kinder hazelnut mini eggs did you purchase this Easter? I would not like to disclose that information at this time.
Starting point is 00:07:01 May or may not be a double digit. We know it is. She disclosed to us before and I was like, I don't even know when you're going to use all these, but respect. You could only get them at Easter. Exactly. It's a once a year opportunity and they were half price. Okay, you know what money wins.
Starting point is 00:07:15 And they're good year round. Yeah, they're good year round. If they've got that little bit of white on them, still good. Still good. It's extra protein. What is it? Antibiotics. Last money win comes from Ange who said,
Starting point is 00:07:26 Everyone's money wins are so epic. I was so stoked this week because Muffin Break gave me and my kids six free scones and a muffin yesterday when we were walking past. We had a fancy scone with jam and cream breakfast this morning. Scone or scone? I said both in that same sentence, didn't I? Scone. It's scone.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Scone, if you're really rich and from Europe. Oh, yes. If you're posh. If you're posh. Yeah. Oh, no, from Britain. I did one of each. You're poor.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Because I'm 50%. You're povo. Has anyone seen that guy on TikTok? That's a... Oh, yeah. He's actually my favourite. I haven't seen him. He just, like, goes through...
Starting point is 00:07:57 Oh, he's great. I'll send him to you. Yes, please. He effectively de-influences. So someone will be showing, like, things that they bought on Amazon to, like, make their life more organised. And he just comments on it in such a satirical way. He's like, do you take things out of boxes to put them in other little boxes?
Starting point is 00:08:11 no you don't because you're popo it's so good but it's it's so good he's taking the mickey out
Starting point is 00:08:18 of over consumption not you know calling you know because it could be a bit but anyway but he like stitches people's videos so like
Starting point is 00:08:25 you're watching theirs at the same time as him narrating I love a good stitch it's hard to do it's elite content
Starting point is 00:08:30 and he's British so it sounds great I'll send it to you later because you're popo I'm like yeah that's me
Starting point is 00:08:35 but like I'm the opposite I put the little clear containers in my fridge and now I feel attacked by this guy because he's
Starting point is 00:08:41 not wrong. He's not wrong. Did my eggs need a clear carton? No, they didn't. But you like it and that's okay. He's coming for me. On that note, that's the end of my money wins. All right. Well, let's go to a really quick break because after the break, I want to talk about emergency funds for travel. I also want to talk about Taylor Swift, Barbie parties, and we're also going to talk about what happens if you get a parking fine while driving for other people. Should they be paying or should you be paying? Should you just cough it up because it's your car? I don't know. Don't go anywhere, guys, because it is going to get hot on the other side. Welcome back, everybody.
Starting point is 00:09:19 I feel like it's getting into winter here in Australia and we're all dreaming of travel, right? We're all dreaming of going somewhere else. Except if you're Jess and you're embracing the warm winter coats and the fact that you can stay home and eat your 10 packets of Easter eggs. Living the dream. Why would I ever want to leave? But this week's question is all about emergency funds for travel, I believe. Let's take a listen. Hi there.

Starting point is 00:10:05 Hi, guys. A quick question about emergency funds for travelling. I'll be going overseas for about a month, mostly staying with family. I want to make sure that I have an emergency fund available, which is planned. But do you guys have any advice on making sure that that emergency fund is definitely sufficient and I won't be caught out? I do have travel insurance organized, but obviously having the emergency fund is kind of important to me. Any advice on how to figure out how much should be in there to make sure that I don't become broke? Thanks.
Starting point is 00:10:37 Firstly, kudos to her for thinking of an emergency fund because I literally would go overseas and come back with 70 cents. Yeah, not even dollars, literal cents. You're like, go to get McDonald's at the airport because you're like exhausted and you're like, I deserve a hash brown and your bank account's like, no, you don't, babe. No, you don't.
Starting point is 00:10:55 You cannot afford a single hash brown right now. Okay, humbled, but I'll just wait for the dodgy plain food and hope that there's a wet hash brown in that. Wet one as well. Well, oh, my gosh, plain food. Have you ever had anything crispy? That's true. No, that's true.
Starting point is 00:11:09 Everything comes out half-steamed. It's because it's all sitting together. Where do they get the steamers from up there? Everything's steamed. I don't know. What are they doing? I don't know. It's efficient.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Their best, Bec. They're in the sky. What do you expect? Doing their best, Bec. That's it. Biggers can't be choosers. Well, actually, they can because Jess refuses to eat plain food. Victoria gives me her roll and I eat two rolls.
Starting point is 00:11:34 oh that's literally what happens is very good i also i'm really nice i even donate the butter to her i'm like you can have the butter as well because you can't have a plain roll and then if there's something she will eat i just will be like i know you'll eat this take it because i'm so scared she's gonna starve because she literally gets in the plane she's like not gonna eat that you're a great friend i don't know if i am a great friend because the flip side is i'm like what's in yours there's a trade happening i think that's a good trade-off i feel like this question is really important because it's something that none of us do when traveling, but it's actually really essential. So the first thing I was going to say before listening to the
Starting point is 00:12:11 whole question, because I'm really good at jumping into conclusions before the actual question has been asked is I was going to say travel insurance is your number one best friend. I've said it before on the podcast. And is it privileged to say? Absolutely it is. But I think it's really important. I do not believe that you can afford to travel if you have not purchased travel insurance. I don't care if you're saying, oh, but it makes the travel so much more expensive. Cool, you can't afford to travel. I don't care how aggressive I am with that because I have seen the flip side of how expensive it can be, how dangerous it can be to travel without it. I have said it before as well. I want insurance to be the biggest waste of money in the entire world. I want you to
Starting point is 00:12:55 be like, well, I didn't use that travel insurance and I'll go, good. Because my good friend Rhiannon, who ended up a paraplegic by jumping into a pool, completely stone cold, sober in Bali. And had she not had travel insurance, she would have ended up in hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of debt just to get herself from Bali back to Australia. So it's one of those things where there's obviously always a worst case scenario and we should be planning for it. So that's why emergency funds are really important as well. So once you've got your insurance, the other thing to make sure is that everything you want to be included is included. So something that I don't think a lot of us realize because we just go, oh yeah, I'll just pay for travel insurance. Often
Starting point is 00:13:36 when you're going through like booking flights at the end, it'll say, do you want to add travel insurance? And you go, tick box, great. That seems like a good price, but it might not include the activities you're doing. So you need to be careful, go through all of the activities included and the ones that are excluded. Because I remember when I was headed, and this is again, really privileged, don't mind I'll share I was going to New Zealand and I was like okay cool obviously gonna get travel insurance but I had to pay more for snow cover because I was going overseas to ski which was really really fun but then also in the ski package there are exclusions like you can't go off pissed you can't do all of this other stuff like heli skiing what off pissed
Starting point is 00:14:17 it means that like you're skiing on the non-groomed runs so like if you go skiing and there's like groomed runs that's skiing on groomed fields okay if you go up the top and you kind of go a bit road go a bit cross country that's called off-piste skiing and yeah it's not included I feel like it makes me sound makes me sound real rich yeah like when I talk off-piste skiing like I don't do it because I'm too much of a chicken. If you think I'm leaving this blue run, you are wrong. I'm not leaving the blue run. I will stay there.
Starting point is 00:14:54 I am there for the apres ski. I want the aprile in the snow. That's why I go ski. My husband, on the other case, I think he goes there to try and kill himself. Yeah, I think he just goes, you know what, straight down the double black diamond. Can I ski? He's like, well, we'll find out. Tick box is not going to cover Steve.
Starting point is 00:15:09 No, no, no, no. So you've just got to be really careful about what he's in isn't included because things like whitewater rafting might not be included if you're going to Bali. And I think that, you know, you might think that's a really good thing to do. Cars might not be included. So it's important to make sure these things are included before you go and do it. And it can be a bit of a boring exercise. Important though.
Starting point is 00:15:30 On top of that, an emergency fund. I don't know where you're going. You said a month, a month in the south of Italy, different story to a month in Bali. Obviously, those things cost different amounts of money. on average, I'd probably be looking at having maybe about 20% of your travel costs in an emergency fund should something happen. This is above and beyond your like spending money and what you're actually planning. This is in case something happens and you need to get emergency accommodation or an emergency flight. It's going to depend on your circumstances as to what is
Starting point is 00:16:04 applicable because I don't know, maybe you booked non-refundable flights. What if you booked flights that are flexible and you can just change the date on them, that might change how much emergency money you actually need. Because Jess, if you needed to get home early, we could just change the travel booking for $40. Whereas maybe you booked with a cheaper airline where you don't have refundable or changeable flights. Well, to get home early, you're going to have to book an entirely new flight and that might be, you know, $600. It might be $2,000. You don't know. So it's really important to kind of look at what that looks like. In a perfect world, you don't use your emergency money? And I know that you go, oh, what's the point in having an emergency fund for
Starting point is 00:16:42 travel? I think it's really important to put it to the side, but hopefully you get home and that money can either go into your pre-existing emergency fund to top that up, or it can go into your next trip. So it's not going to be money that's wasted. It's money that's going towards something really practical and something that's actually going to, you know, put you in the best position. And what's better than having a stress-free holiday? Like you're not going overseas to stress, you're going overseas hopefully to have a bit of a break, and I promise you're going to be far less stressed if you feel like everything financially is sorted. Question, does your holiday emergency fund need to be a separate emergency fund from your regular one?
Starting point is 00:17:22 No, it doesn't. Good question. It is a good question. Thank you. No, it doesn't, but I think a lot of people are in circumstances where they might not have an emergency fund yet, and they ask this question. If I personally was going overseas, I wouldn't be allocating money to a specific emergency fund because I have access to my normal emergency fund. But I think a lot of people are in circumstances where they might still live at home and they're like, well, I don't really need an emergency fund or their emergency funds just like $300 or $400 because the bank of mum and dad comes into it. Let's be honest, it's a very privileged position to be in, but that's the reality of a lot of our community. So I think it's important to go,
Starting point is 00:18:03 have I got an emergency fund that I could use for travel? If the answer is no, we need to create it before we go. And if the answer is yes, then we can just rely on the pre-existing one. But at the end of the day, it is important to have access to money if you are not at home. It's important to have access to money at all times. But I think baby steps are really important. And if it's like your first time traveling overseas and you're 18 and you're not really sure, the answer is yes. Yeah. I wish 18-year-old Jess had thought about that before she got her iPhone stolen in a foreign country oh she was fine wasn't she she was fine everything was all good she was fine but came home no money and no iphone oh it sucks to be me what did you do just go into debt to get a new iphone
Starting point is 00:18:40 because that's probably what 18 year old victoria would have done yeah probably oh good i'm glad we're all on the same page did you feel a bit wholesome having screen off time i feel like i was not phone addicted then so it wasn't like you know yeah that makes sense if you took my phone off me i'd legitimately feel naked yeah yeah i feel like i lost a limb yeah like she actually would yeah let's be honest all right let's move on because this week Jess we have a community concern that I think is going to get a little bit heated and I don't mean heated from this table I feel like I feel like I've learned Beck's ways of the world thus far feel like sit on the fence yes sit on the fence don't have no I feel like we're going to be on the same page about this
Starting point is 00:19:20 okay I have a very clear like as soon as I read this question I was like yes there is one answer in my mind and one answer. Agreed. Agreed. And I feel like we're all going to be on the same page, but I want to see what our DMs say. So our community dilemma was this. It said, hello, ladies. Bit of a weird one for you. I drove my girlfriends into the train station on a night out because everyone was a little bit too poor to afford an Uber. So I volunteered to drive us all in. The place I parked ended up getting me a parking fine. In brackets, she said it was dark and I didn't check the parking signs. I'm feeling a little bit salty now and I know it's my fault, but I feel like we should be splitting this between all of us.
Starting point is 00:19:57 I took one for the team and I also used my fuel and none of us noticed the sign, so I don't really want to be coughing up $123 for a parking fine at the moment. So much money for a parking fine. Yeah, that's very expensive. I feel like they used to be like $80. Yeah. Max.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Even $70. I'm pretty sure I've paid one before that was like $70. Yeah. It's insane. Flation. It's insane. Do you know what? Like, side note, parking in the city is going to cost you the same,
Starting point is 00:20:22 so maybe just risk it for the biscuit. Yeah. I do that. I do that. You do that? I mean, I feel like we're all going to agree on this. I would pay. No, Jess would never risk it for the biscuit.
Starting point is 00:20:32 She'd pay for the parking. I know it. Yeah. Oh, you'd pay for the parking. But if you did get a fine. Yeah. And you were driving your mates around and you got a fine. I personally would 100% pay the fine, but this is my.
Starting point is 00:20:45 All by yourself? All by myself. This is my little hack, though, and I don't know how it's going to go down. Are you about to say, just never volunteer to drive your friends around? No, much worse. Much worse. I just don't pay it. And then, but wait.
Starting point is 00:21:01 Oh, it goes to debt collectors. No, it goes to Vic Fines. And then I jump online and do pay-in installments and I do like $10 a month. And then I can pay it off. It doesn't feel like anything. That's genius. I just got to wait. What are you two doing?
Starting point is 00:21:15 That is debt. No. I mean, yes, yes. Yes, you would have. It is debt. Yes, it is debt, but I believe, like, it's a payment plan. It's not as if you're taking out a loan. And I believe that through, like, I feel like that's actually a really smart way to do it.
Starting point is 00:21:29 So it's afterpay, Ben? So it's afterpay. Different thing. Different thing. Different, different. Because I feel like if you just cannot fathom paying $123 in a parking fine, then honestly, wait until it goes to VicFinds and then pay it off as fast or as slow as you need to. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Where do you sit on this? Because now I feel like maybe we don't have the same opinion. Yeah. I'm kind of confused now. I thought we were all going to have the same opinion. Do you think they should split it? I'm assuming, given the context of the message, so saying, you know, we all couldn't afford the Uber.
Starting point is 00:22:00 Like, it's not, I am in a full-time working environment where $123, you know, could be split over a few months and become palatable. I'm getting the vibe. I'm picking up that they're uni students. I think that there should be some, hey, we got a fine. What should we do? And have a chat. Like, I would be mortified to find out that Bec got a parking fine for driving me to the train station and then she didn't say anything to me.
Starting point is 00:22:26 Like, I would not want her to be financially impacted by helping me or doing something for me, especially if the driving was a joint decision of Bec and I. I didn't see it either. Like, I didn't see the signs either. Why would Bec see the signs? I think that it's some of my responsibility. I fully see where you're coming from. Like I completely understand that logic and I think like. Are you saying that if I get a fine, I've got to pay for the whole thing?
Starting point is 00:22:53 100%. Yeah. I just think. I'll see myself out on this one. My stance on this, and like I'm the same as you, I think if someone drove me somewhere and they got a fine, like I would want to contribute. But I think it's very different to being like I drove everyone
Starting point is 00:23:08 and I want people to put in for petrol because they knew that I was getting in and they were going to drive versus ultimately you as the driver made a mistake, that was your responsibility to look up. In the same way that if you had gotten a speeding fine, I would say the same thing. Yeah, but that's, yeah, okay. As the driver, particularly of a car of people who, did she say they'd been drinking?
Starting point is 00:23:29 No, she didn't say they'd been drinking. I think we just assumed because they were like not getting a new bike. Going out to the city, might have had a couple of beverages. Especially nice, yeah. Perhaps, like regardless of whether they had or they had not. I just don't want someone to be financially worse off because I didn't. I agree. Like I agree.
Starting point is 00:23:43 I think the nice thing here would be for maybe be like, oh my God, I got a parking fine. How annoying. So now you guys know I'd pay your parking fines, but you wouldn't pay mine. I've got it. I've got it. Happy with that outcome. No, but I just think if you're taking on the responsibility of driving, in the same way that you take on the responsibility of not hitting somebody with your car as the driver, you take on the responsibility of not speeding and getting a speeding fine, you take on the responsibility. And it sucks. Melbourne parking, the worst. The signs, so confusing. No judgment from me, babe. I've been there. But I do think, and I know that she's not going to like this
Starting point is 00:24:15 answer because it is kind of a sucky answer because she's wanting us to have her back but I've got your back babe Jess and Bec might not but I do emotionally I do technically I yeah technically not but I emotionally do in reality if I got a parking fine you've met me do you really think I'm just going to accept it sitting down absolutely not yeah I was gonna say I'm gonna be arguing it I'm gonna be like okay cool where were the signs I didn't see them can you please provide the photos of my car okay yeah like coming full circle situation sucks don't support that either do the payment things or did you know that you don't just have to cop a fine you can argue it and you can say if you've never had an infringement before they're very likely to be kind
Starting point is 00:24:55 and let you off with a warning if you explain the situation you say it was just every time she's like I've never had an infringement because I've talked my way out of every single one of them wow that's really impressive no that's not true that's Gabby that's Gabby I've definitely had one instance where I felt like I was not at fault and I said that and I you know the system was really kind to me and they rescinded the fine so I feel like if you're in that situation where it was really dark and maybe the sign was covered by some leaves or whatever like yeah the worst thing you can do is appeal it and see what happens so that nobody's stressed financially but I think if I was the driver I would just be copying it on the chin
Starting point is 00:25:33 personally but what did the people say we were divided you thought we were all gonna be I did. I thought that you guys would have my back and then you didn't. It's like a conga line of having each other's back. Yeah, okay. The conga line is just a circle. And it's just you two holding hands, watching me stand by myself in the corner. Now it is. Yeah, now it is. I really thought it would be different. So it turns out I'm actually in the minority here.
Starting point is 00:25:59 That's kind of satisfying. Vindications. I'm not surprised you guys are happy with this. I'm not paying for lunch today, just so you know. Oh, damn, I've got to take it back. There were a fair few comments, all of them really validating the two of you. It was their own fault. They're the driver.
Starting point is 00:26:16 I don't want to be splitting the cost for something that was not my fault because I wasn't the driver. Someone did say, get it, queen. Thank you. I'd offer to split as it's not fair on the driver. Someone said, I'd just be too scared to ask my friends to split it, so I'd just pay it. Someone said, sadly, I really think this one's on the driver. If you got a speeding ticket, would you expect them to split it?
Starting point is 00:26:38 I swear you've got little minions in our community, Jessica, who just comment on things to have your back. It's just me from 10,000 different accounts. Who could be bothered? You just did. That Jessica girl sounds like she's got really great opinions. Someone said, I don't think that they should be paying. Maybe they should have paid for some fuel or shouting you a drink
Starting point is 00:26:58 or something, but not the fine. Someone said, this happened to me on the Gold Coast. My friends just sent me their share without me even asking. Oh, that's nice. See, that's nice. They're the types of friends I want to have. Take notes. Someone said, perhaps not splitting the whole cost,
Starting point is 00:27:16 but they definitely should have contributed towards petrol. I feel like everybody's just Beck and Jess team today. Yeah, splitting it. Everyone could have checked for parking signs and they drove and used petrol. Someone said, nope. Unfortunately, the cost goes straight to the driver, unless a friend pointed out where to park and they disregarded it. That's a good point.
Starting point is 00:27:37 That is a good point. Yeah. If you're the passenger, that is not your responsibility, someone else said. Someone said, I think you can always ask your friends, but be prepared for them to just say no. Put it out there. So I'm not going to go on and on because I genuinely think that you guys might be in the majority here and I'm in the minority
Starting point is 00:27:56 and going on and on is actually going to put me in a worse off hole. So, you know what? I'm going to pay for the parking fines moving on. I'm not going to ask you to pay for my parking fines because you guys will be walking. No, you guys will be walking. Away that you are saying driving past. So, yeah, we'll see you on the flip side.
