Starting point is 00:00:00 She's on the money. She's on the money. Hello and welcome to She's on the money, the podcast for millennials who want to drink maduri illusions but that is absolutely not what's going on here today but it is once again friday drinks with the she's on the money team and this week we have georgia king we have jessica ricci and we have ryan john once again back in the studio hello and this week we have decided thanks to our friend will from dan murphy's richmond we have the maduri illusion which looks like what would you call this i said fluorescent snot oh that's nice um i was going to say radiator coolant georgia were you proud or ashamed when you bought them georgia didn't buy
Starting point is 00:01:05 them i didn't buy them are you with me of course sorry jess and i we were and we were ashamed because that's how we met will we had to immediately justify our purchase by telling him we had a podcast oh my gosh they smell horrendous let me change my question when these other two rocked up georgia and you and i were already here how did you feel when you first saw the maduri i mean nervous i was like girls maybe a nice pinot noir next week did they ask you for your id no but that was actually the segue into us meeting our new friend will from dan murphy's and jess had her id out ready to go because these are obviously what would you call them party lolly drinks lolly drinks that 16 year olds buy and 18 year olds
Starting point is 00:01:48 because that is the illegal drinking age where you support responsible drinking. They're what older 18-year-old siblings buy for their youngest. Bec is going to kill you. At 18, like, I didn't want to drink this. But hypothetically, if you were to ever sneak out as a young'un to a party that your mum said don't go to, that's maybe what you'd drink, hypothetically. Hypothetically, agreed.
Starting point is 00:02:11 But we're responsible drinkers, and we're not actually sponsored by anyone, not even Dan Murphy, so we've dropped three times. We've literally said we're from 10 movies. But they're more than welcome to sponsor us with drinks each week. They're distancing themselves, apparently. That's what I've heard. That is actually the reason why we had Jess's ID out because we genuinely thought we were going to get ID'd
Starting point is 00:02:30 and he actually looked at Jess and I and said, oh, no, I don't need to ID you two. Real notch to the confidence that one. Can we put something in the thread if it promotes the Friday Drinks episode and it is how old have you been and still been ID'd? Oh, I actually want to know that. Yeah, because Jess, you could pass as 10. I got ID'd on the weekend, actually, so that's why I was like,
Starting point is 00:02:50 wow, it's been a long work day. I must look pretty rough today. But anyway, Will said he can recommend the mudslides. Ew, no. They're a decision. I don't consume dairy, so I think that maybe I'll let you off this one time. Also, don't Google Mississippi mudslide. Well, what do you think I'm going to do right after you said that?
Starting point is 00:03:12 I think everybody's going to Google it. But moving on, Ryan, could you give us a little bit of a recap of what we are going to be discussing today? Because I know you've got a few tricks up your sleeve. So every Friday drinks, obviously a bit less casual than the Money Diary and the Deep Dive on Wednesday, as you might have already can tell. Also, can I just say the Monday episode that came out this week with Daria on OnlyFans.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Absolute banger. I got so many DMs about that. I'm guessing, how did you go with feedback and stuff? People are loving it. I got great feedback. I didn't get heaps of DMs. Who's been sliding into yours? It's like, oh, can you feature my account?
Starting point is 00:03:45 I'm like, sorry, I'm just a subscriber, not a promoter. Go and check that out. But in the group this week, Virginia has a back-to-school hack, which I'll tell you about. Megan has a whole new wardrobe for free. Ooh. What? And if you love Lorna Jane and I'm scared I'm going to say this wrong,
Starting point is 00:04:03 Lululemon? Yeah, Lululemon is correct. I used to say Lululemon, like not my ring. No, no, no, I actually thought that's what it was for a really long time. Yeah, okay, it's not to me. Well, Sarah has a hack if you love that kind of stuff, like quarter of the price kind of stuff. And Chloe has the cheapest per meal food prep system that she just hacked by using all these different codes and logins and stuff with HelloFresh. Oh, I actually want to hear about that one.
Starting point is 00:04:27 So there soon. But first, let's start. Victoria, your personal win or confession of the week. Okay. So my win or confession this week is actually a confession, guys. and I think it's one that could stand as a really good warning for the rest of our community if you hire a car on a holiday and so this comes from yours truly who was late for her flight coming back from Port Douglas to Melbourne because in true Victoria style I knew I landed
Starting point is 00:04:54 at four o'clock in Melbourne and I had to be at a work meeting by five and so I knew that I could not miss that flight otherwise I was going to be in a little bit of a pickle but it meant I didn't have time to go to the petrol station and top up my fuel before returning the car now we had half a tank of fuel left and i was like do you know what whatever that cost is going to be worth don't they charge you like three dollars a liter like astronomical prices i thought so eight dollars a liter and 350 for half a tank of fuel on my car oh my god the other day because it hadn't hit like on the day that we did it because i dropped off the keys and said hey guys here are the keys so sorry it literally does need petrol but i can't miss this flight charge it to my card charge it
Starting point is 00:05:40 to the card like you've got it on counting the girl was like are you sure and i was like yes i don't really have any other option right now and we checked our card statement and 358 dollars and 30 cents later we have paid for half a tank of fuel for someone in queensland that makes me want to cry it actually made me incredibly infuriated and i just thought i'd share that here for the very first time i haven't told anybody in this room that story just yet i'm so angry because say if you went on a cheap air you might as well have flown home first class home business with quantus oh was that even worth coming home for the meeting i don't know was it a productive meeting it was with you well that was a waste of money all right but let's move on because i am
Starting point is 00:06:28 frustrated and i need to wind down jessica what is your money winner confession this week i have of money win and it's a bit of a congratulatory one i was just telling ryan this before but uh on the weekend or maybe it was you george i've lost track but anyway uh on the weekend i went to an escape room with some friends and if you've never been to one before it's like a puzzle room you have to figure it out there's like a whole plot they're really fun um we went with a group of eight split into two teams of four it was a little bit competitive and so we went in and we got the best score that has ever been gotten in that room huge ego win if i will but on top of that i'm so proud guys we also know for those of you who don't know jessica i know like i've never
Starting point is 00:07:09 done an escape room with her but i know she walked into that room took over the room and was like right you look at this and you you sit in the corner and don't touch anything that was my boyfriend that last time i know that's how it got done no but the money win is because we got the best time and that room closes in a week the guy said if no one beats our time in the next seven days we get to come back again and do another one for free how much do they cost it's like 40 bucks per person per room so it's like oh wow yeah that's more expensive than i thought it was gonna be yeah between the whole team you could get half a tank of petrol for that wow a quarter of a tank of petrol my gosh in saying that jessica is quite competitive and
Starting point is 00:07:48 i think sharing with our community why jessica was away for the weekend would also be really interesting jessica why were you away for the weekend uh i play a very intensive sport called ultimate frisbee literally the coolest game i've ever heard of or had never heard of until i met jess it's competitive frisbee with a actual disc no there are no dogs involved because we get that question a lot i can see that question on your face so we spoke about you playing frisbee last week in the office and you know how we always think like our phones are listening to us with the algorithm yeah since you mentioned that i'm now getting all these fancy ultimate frisbee videos on you're kidding but do they look cool like that's unbelievable it looks awesome i did
Starting point is 00:08:26 not realize how intensive the game was the whole thing until i watched your instagram stories over the weekend and i was like wow wow like i couldn't oh she fit yeah she fit she fancy is it like netball but with a kind of yeah with a frisbee like you play if you play outdoors you play on a like an outdoor soccer field so it's quite a large field oh god yeah how many players on a team uh seven aside so on field and how are your legs the day after cooked we played six games in one day six one hour games so you were running for six hours yeah approximately i mean look i did take breaks in between points but oh my gosh yeah she's gonna do a marathon next week guys obviously stay tuned georgia have you got a money winner confession for us this week oh you do oh is that you just
Starting point is 00:09:11 enduring your that was a miduri squirm i think that was was you enjoying your miduri illusion Enjoying is, you know, not the word. It's a word. It's a word. Is this a very Kath and Kim inspired drink? I feel like it would be the Madeira. Like they would drink a little bit of a Madeira illusion. Love that little accent.
Starting point is 00:09:31 You're welcome. So I have a money win as well. Yes. Hopefully they're making up for my losses. Well, I mean, it's not that exciting, but last night was half price night at Cinema Nova in Carlton. Beautiful. That's my favourite place, yes.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Yeah, so $10 for a cinema ticket. And I also haven't been since, like, the start of last year. That would have been noble. Yeah, people in there? No, it was, like, maybe a quarter full. I like that, though. I like where you can spread out a bit. Yeah, it was good.
Starting point is 00:10:04 And, like, we didn't have to wear masks, which I thought we would have to. The movie was great. What did you see? The Dry by Jane Harper. It's a book, really popular. It was really good. Eric Banner is hot. oh that's your money can i ask a follow-up money question please all the money that you
Starting point is 00:10:21 saved on cheap tickets did you then spend at the candy bar no it's like brunetti the italian cakes there's a brunetti in the yeah yeah brunetti is amazing so did you spend ten dollars on movies and then fifty dollars on food look uh yeah there was a lot of popcorn and red wine purchased so yeah guilty but um would strongly recommend for anyone in the market for a little monday money win nice brian john i love that cinemas are my favorite what's that one in hawthorne that i'm obsessed with just across from glenn ferry the lido the lido cinema the ribly's all right but lido oh my gosh that is prime they literally make that this is my little like vegan life shout out they make their quote buttered popcorn with coconut oil so that
Starting point is 00:11:08 Everything is plant-based and all of their snacks can be done vegan. Wild. That's nice. I don't know if that's nice or, like, the saddest Melbourne hipster woke thing I've ever heard. I was like, my heart, that's nice for some people. Give me the butter. Smother mine in butter, please.
Starting point is 00:11:26 You don't want to sit in a cinema with me after I've had butter. You just don't. You want that. I know you want coconut oil. Ryan, what have you got for us? I'm one twelfth of the way through a money win. Is this like a long game? Long game.
Starting point is 00:11:44 12 months in a year. For the year, I'm not purchasing any takeaway coffees. What? Wow. Who are you? You are not the man I know. I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:11:54 Things have changed. Things have changed. How? You get up early in the morning. How do you live? You get up at like 3 a.m. for breakfast. You would know, V, I have experimented with trying to not rely on coffee and I don't want to have it as much as I do.
Starting point is 00:12:07 And then, so that was one reason because I feel like you crash later in the day. So I was trying to like get a bit of a balance. And then I thought, oh, $5 a day adds up. So here's what I've done. With Spaceship, I've automated that $5 a day comes out of my account and goes into a Spaceship. So at the end of the year, how much will I have, V?
Starting point is 00:12:26 Oh, you'll have $1,825, Ryan John. But that's what I've invested. And plus the growth, hopefully, of Spaceship. That's $5 a day for 365 days, yeah? Yeah, so every day $5 comes out of my account. Like it would if I was buying coffee, but instead of going into coffee, it goes into my Spaceship account. You're really living the shiz on the money lifestyle.
Starting point is 00:12:42 I feel like that's our thing. We give something up and invest it, but you're actually doing it. So at the end of the year, how much do you predict that'll be worth, V? At the end of this year? Yeah, because the $1,800 plus may be growth if the shares go up. It's only 12 months. We don't know, and it's only 12 months, and it would be very naive of me. Investing's a long-term game.
Starting point is 00:13:00 Exactly. Thank you. I'm predicting $10,000. from 1800 what did you buy bitcoin two grand two grand two grand that's still like a very high return for 1800 i'm gonna say 18 i'd say like a five percent return maybe actually spaceship is doing really well at the moment i think which is why i'm confident but also it's two grand that i would have thrown away to cafes around melbourne anyway so i don't want to say it's free money i love my coffee in the morning that is my non-negotiable if you told
Starting point is 00:13:31 me i had to do that i would not do it i'd give something else up well when i'm at the office at she's on the money i go and use the yeah we have a machine downstairs so i don't have to pay for it yeah and i still go out for coffee all right so watch this space committed to the oat milk ryan can you segue away from this conversation so coming up uh no v there was one particular post in the group this week that i mean there's thousands that capture attention but i believe there was one in particular that you really wanted to discuss yes because last week on friday drinks i really liked your recap of your favorite posts but i also felt like this post needed to be captured because i don't think you saw it and the reason i wanted to talk about it was because
Starting point is 00:14:16 charlotte is an absolute legend and charlotte posted can we please share how we helped someone else have a money win in our community this week it actually happened what on Tuesday I think and I just thought that was such a cool thing and just such a cool thing to share with our community because it was just like people commenting it's had more than 200 300 comments of people just sharing how they've helped other people and that is absolutely the spirit of she's on the money Charlotte started and she said that she saw someone selling a beautiful white return shelving unit which if you're in the know you would know that's pretty fancy and very in fashion right now for 50 bucks and it was an older gentleman which he assumed by the wording of the post so she actually
Starting point is 00:15:02 messaged him and told him that he was selling it too cheap and he should up the pricing of it which he did and he was super grateful for it and he joked about how he should actually have message her every time he wants to sell something to get it valued anyway there were lots and lots of comments from people in our community just sharing times that they've helped other people have a bit of a money win and if that's not she's on the money i don't know what is i don't think like i'd like to think i would do that for the old man but there's no way i would do that you bought it for 50 bucks and you resold it to some other pleb for 300 and then took a selfie with the cash and said that to the old man yeah okay you are not you 2021 ryan is not my favorite but anyway i thought
Starting point is 00:15:43 that was a very sweet thing in our community because one everybody was obviously being like that's so nice but also let's just do nice things for other people without any expectation that they'll return it because i genuinely believe that what comes around goes around and there's a thread for that coming soon because we have had a few people offer to do very generous things for others or maybe they've got things they'd like to pass along so yeah like the pay it forward thread yeah so keep an eye out we'll definitely post one of those in the next week or so where you guys can just make life better for each other i love that that's so cool Now, after all the sappy stuff, Ryan,
Starting point is 00:16:25 you can tell us about your favourite posts from the week. Oh, wow. Oh, he came prepared. Is this the right feel? It's absolutely the right feel. Hannah McCauley. For Ryan's money. I should be doing a conga line down the line.
Starting point is 00:16:39 For Ryan's money wins. Sorry, it's Megan McCauley. Sorry. She said she hosted a clothing swap and now has a brand new wardrobe for free, same as all the attendees now what does this mean exactly because i think someone's mentioned it it's really throwing me it's distracting okay clothing swap someone mentioned it in a money diary i think last year i'm assuming it's where a bunch of friends get together swap clothes you
Starting point is 00:17:00 get a bunch of people turn up to a location generally speaking you'll get there'll be like you get like five tokens or whatever and all your stuff goes in and then you can pick five things that you want like it's like you give five get five kind of thing oh there's like an actual process to it well the ones that i've seen yeah like if you do one with friends you might kind of chuckle your clothes in a room and you know it's a free-for-all fight over that dress wait so this is actually a thing you're saying like sign up i thought this is something they used to host them in melbourne pre-covid it'd be like an actual event and you yeah like you can sign up and go in and donate your stuff so to speak and then have free reign of whatever else is there oh my god
Starting point is 00:17:36 it's like anti-fast fashion yeah it's really cool i love that is there we should do a she's on the money one oh ah the girls and um i feel like everyone in our community would love that so So do we just throw 130,000 bits of clothing into a pile and then we all take one thing back out each? I mean, look, if it's coming from Victoria Devine's wardrobe, I'd fight someone for that. There's definitely not 130,000 pieces of clothing in there. No, but there is $130,000 worth of shoes.
Starting point is 00:18:01 Ah, segue away. Virginia Taylor says, I'm doing the kids' back-to-school haircuts myself this year. Oh, God. So she saved a whole bunch of money. Tommy is turning up with a bowl cut. Well, didn't you cut Steve's hair during lockdown? That did not go well.
Starting point is 00:18:20 Jessica Mary says she shopped around with her car insurance provided and switched to someone with more options, more extras, and saved $500 total on a yearly premium. Who's she with? That's like half of my premium. I believe that was budget direct. Oh, my gosh. I'm not recommending this company by any stretch of the imagination,
Starting point is 00:18:41 but I've never heard a bad word. Right, okay. Everybody that is with it, and I have a heap of girlfriends who are with Budget Direct and Bingle apparently has great reviews as well. Cute name, Bingle. Yeah, Bingle is cute. But Budget Direct, I feel like, do they have TV ads on at the moment?
Starting point is 00:18:56 Maybe. I feel like it's in my brain. Yeah, same. It's always around. But $500 plus extras, blah, blah, blah options. So she's really stoked with that. Music, please. Oh, this is new music.
Starting point is 00:19:13 Sarah Butler. Ladies that buy Lorna Jane and Lululemon tights, go and check out Uniqlo. My partner introduced me to their tights last week, and for the price of... Actually, before I get to that, Victoria, how much would you... Why are you attacking me financially this week? No, no, I just want to know, everyone, what's your guess?
Starting point is 00:19:30 How much is it usually for, like, Lorna Jane, Lululemon tights? Like, they're really expensive, right? Yeah, so I reckon the ones that I bought last, because they're the more fancy compression ones, were probably, like, $130. Whoa. Is that about normal? Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Definitely for Lululemon. At Uniqlo, $29. What? Wow. And apparently just as good. Well, Sarah said she's been wearing them, getting the job done, really happy with them, and she can barely tell. Like, you know, but she's like, they're pretty much the same,
Starting point is 00:19:58 really happy to save $100, yeah. Wow. Well done. I'm actually really envious. I don't need any more tights, but, like, I might find a reason to need more tights, you know? Sorry, I've just found another sound. All right.
Starting point is 00:20:12 That's a terrible sound. Chloe says, MoneyWin, I was about to renew my HelloFresh subscription when I thought I'd do a little research into other companies because I feel like there's heaps. Every week there's a new subscription. Yeah, there's HelloFresh, there's Marley Spoon, there's Dinnerly. The list goes on, my friends. So Chloe thought, I'll do a bit of research,
Starting point is 00:20:29 see if I can't get something similar for cheaper. I'll just shop around a little bit. So with the combination of free delivery on the first order and honey coupon codes and ShopBack, she purchased eight meals from dinnerly for a total of 23.10 which is a total of 2.80 per meal and obviously we're big friends and family of shop back so apparently a bit of a kickback there as well so a really nice but 2.80 a meal i didn't even know you could get dinnerly through shop back i'm genuinely impressed you can now and a honey coupon code i don't is that a thing yeah
Starting point is 00:21:05 Yeah, it's actually Shotback's biggest competitor. So I'm glad we just... She used both of them. Putting them together. What a savage. She doubled up. You know what? What we're taking from that story is she used Shotback
Starting point is 00:21:18 and they are friends of the show. I mean, why would you go anywhere else? Yeah, thank you for the music. Jess Phillippe. It's like I'm on Mario Kart about to race my friends. Jess Phillippe. I hope I pronounced that right. Phillippe?
Starting point is 00:21:34 possibly a money win i had a zoom pro subscription for teaching singing classes online that i did during lockdown so that was her business she was teaching singing classes but i haven't used it since november and lazy me hadn't bothered to cancel it yes i finally got around to canceling it today and i got an email and they said we can refund you since you've last used it because we say you haven't been using it that much so here's 75 back for the november december january subscription they pay for and didn't use. They did not have to do that. I love that.
Starting point is 00:22:03 I do love that. So shout out to, I mean, Zoom. I mean, they've had a pretty good 12-month journey. Zoom can afford it. They're making bank at the moment. Can I just put it out there? For 15 years, Skype was like the thing. And then the time when we actually needed it, they're nowhere.
Starting point is 00:22:19 How is that possible? It's because Skype is trash. And they're also sponsoring our next episode. Speaking of getting a better deal, Ryan, John, do you know what we dropped in the podcast group this week? What? We dropped an e-book on how to negotiate a better deal. Really?
Starting point is 00:22:32 Yeah, we did. You guys are very productive. I had no idea about this. Please tell me more. It's about how to get a better deal stat. And I don't think that George has seen it either, but it features a really large photo of her for those of you interested. But essentially, I've realized that lots of you are having a little bit of anxiety
Starting point is 00:22:50 calling up your insurance provider or your car insurance or your phone people to get a better deal. And I have written a script for you all about how to start the call, what you need to say during the call, and essentially how to get the best deal. And I just think that's a pretty sick thing to do. Do you think we should make Victoria, instead of just telling us what to do, show us what to do?
Starting point is 00:23:12 What do you mean? I wrote you an e-book. Is that not enough? No. So you know what we're going to do? Yeah, who are we going to call? We're going to call ****. But I don't have any service through ****.
Starting point is 00:23:21 They don't know that. Try and buy one and negotiate a better deal. Okay, I'm here for it. Oh, wow. Am I a loyal customer? We're fully going off-road. Can you call ****** if I'm actually with ******? I just feel like that would be more practical because I can say I'm a loyal customer.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Thanks for calling ****** Sales. Your call may be recorded for training and business purposes. Right back at you. If you're calling to upgrade, press 1. Hi, this is ****** Sales. How are you? Hi, well, thanks. How are you?
Starting point is 00:23:56 I'm fine. thanks for asking how may i help you um i just feel like i'm not getting the best deal on my mobile plan at the moment sure i'm glad that you called us can i know your first and last name please my name is victoria divine thank you victoria i have checked your plan you're already on the 35 plan victoria so you want more data and more calling yeah so i'm on the 35 plan but i don't have enough data i don't think i'm just looking at what other competitors of yours are offering i'm comparing and also like they all have much more data for the same price and did you check our online plan or the offers uh yes but there's nothing at the same price point
Starting point is 00:24:41 i'll have to pay more money and i don't want to pay more money i want a better deal so you're saying your price point will be same 35 you want more allowance it'll be the exact same but i'll get um 30 gig or 50 no 50 gigs of data instead and right now you'll see on my account that i always go over so i'll probably just swap no we will give you unlimited data why you worry and we'll give you 50 gigs of data oh for the same price for the same price wow it will be there for the next 12 months okay it's my actually 40 plan given to you for 35 dollars Oh, brilliant. In fact, I want to make this offer for you, Victoria.
Starting point is 00:25:26 We can give you a brand new LG phone as well with it. Your bill will only be $36. No, I don't need a phone. I've already got a phone. Not even for a dollar? No, not even for a dollar. A 64GB Android 6.6-inch phone for a dollar? Yeah, but I don't need a new phone.
Starting point is 00:25:46 i literally just need a um like i just had a better sim plan i was just giving you the offer yeah no thank you for that that was very generous so this is just a plan change no contract anything the plan is 40 dollars month to month with a five dollars credit for 36 months awesome sorry five dollars credit for 12 months so what have i got currently on my data plan currently you're getting 30 gigs of data yeah can i have even 60 but then your bill will be 40 60 gigabytes could you do it for the 35 still though because i'm just to my retention team victoria in that regards that's why it's unlimited data okay all right remember this victoria you will get the 50 giga for the lifetime but after 12 months this 35 will become 40 we have to negotiate another deal after
Starting point is 00:26:40 12 months all right okay i'll call you again then almost done i'm just preparing the plan i apologize my six-year-old is class is going on in the background oh that's okay and i'm enjoying his nursery rhyme it will be good now yes one more important thing this plan is ideally supposed to start victoria from your next bill cycle which is 10th of february but looking at your usage condition i will give you 50 gigabytes right now to you oh thank you that's very kind and again on 10th of february you'll get another 50 gigs oh thanks okay oh you've almost no no i've definitely everything yeah i used everything and in fact in fact you've exceeded your data yeah i know that's why i was calling to fix it that's very important then you change
Starting point is 00:27:34 the plan once again thank you so so much for your time tonight anything else apart from this no i'll give your retention team a call tomorrow definitely thank you have a good night you're welcome bye thank you bye-bye that did not go the way i thought it was and i could not stop laughing because i could hear nursery rhymes in the background he was working from home yeah and i appreciate that is just one i didn't expect to be thrown in the deep end after saying hey i've got this great resource for the community and you go all right prove it that he tried to give you a phone for a dollar and you refused and he was really upset about it not for a dollar he did i don't i know that that might have been a like a dollar a month yeah a dollar a month for sure
Starting point is 00:28:17 yeah it just felt like a trap like it felt like he was gonna lock me into a six thousand month plan yeah i thought he was great he was lovely he was delightful you know what more um more phone staff should be like that i really liked him slight 15 minute detour here's the final money winner of the week chelsea johnson what she got for us the most unrelatable money win i've ever heard i was gonna buy some mini magnums because they're on sale and i got to the checkout they scanned them and they're actually full price so instead of buying them i just told myself that i didn't really need them i don't need a pay full price so i put them back that is ridiculous restraint that i think a lot of people at this table aspire to have one day amen i would have
Starting point is 00:29:08 taken those magnets and run free now jess is a five finger discount kind of gal oh no don't say that no she's very pure she would never people don't think i steal i mean you did admit last week and the week before to liberating liberating and different liberating and beefing are very different well coming out uh next week is our new podcast she's on the good behavior bond and we look forward to that being hosted by jess uh is there anything else because i feel like we've actually learned a lot here there's a lot of hacks we've learned how to save money and get more data on our phone bills also who's on a 35 plan are you the cheapest person well done i was so surprised when you said that like 35 bucks thank you i do aspire to be aspirational
Starting point is 00:29:57 i actually just really hustled that and uh i feel like it's because every single time and i think this is my top tip of the week every single time i go to change phone plans i actually call them instead of going online because they can always beat the online amounts i've found historically and that five dollar discount that you heard him talk about i have held on to that relentlessly since university days that's the student discount i won't let them get rid of so they're like oh like last time i called they're like oh like we could upgrade you and it will only be five dollars a month more per month um but we'll have to get rid of your discount uh but don't worry because it'll be the same not having it do not take my five dollar discount off me won't have it so it's
Starting point is 00:30:44 still on my account and as he said i've been loyal to him for four years no wonder you never get back to us i didn't know you were but 35 a month 30 gig what a bargain yeah i mean you've done well there i'm actually jealous that i threw you in the deep end there because it's worked well you're welcome anything else to add guys no no nothing else to add except for i cannot unequivocally recommend a maduri allusion to anybody i think we can know jess has jess has had it maybe like two centimeters out of the top and replaced the cap george has had a fair few sips i'm not into it and i think ryan put his under the desk um yeah no we're not into this if somebody actually has a better drink to recommend though that they think that we might
