BetMGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with Eye Gaming Ontario. Hello, you are listening to Shagmar and annoyed with me. Mrs. Toast. Mrs. Toast, Mrs. Toast, Mrs. Toast, Mrs. Toast, Mrs. Toast. So just to explain to everyone what that means, I'm Clememan.
Starting point is 00:01:00 and again we're a broken record wined about how cold it is in this room because we're not organised to put a heater on before we come in so we come in claim it's freezing put a heater on by the end that they've warmed the fucker up and then we'll turn it off and leave
Starting point is 00:01:11 but you have your electric blanket so you are, Missis Toast and Mrs Toast me what a tune, what a tune Mrs Jones man Yeah?
Starting point is 00:01:20 Do you know it? Yes as soon as you started singing Mrs Toast I was like I know that song Mrs Jones Mrs Jones Mrs Jones Who sings it? We got a thing Do you know what it is?
Starting point is 00:01:31 Go in, I have to finish it. Fuck, I now it's mad at it. Um, do you know, I don't know who sings it because so many people have sung it. Michael Bubli. Oh, he's covered. But it's probably really old. Yeah. Well, he's cap'n't cover, in he?
Starting point is 00:01:42 But yeah, it'll not be his. Cap'n' cover. I bet he would love that. Has he ever brought out his own songs? Yeah, I think he has, of course, yeah, but he's, I mean. I don't have a bad word said against him. No, I wasn't, no, he's fucking, he's fucking, he's, like, Mr. Krooner in he's, like, just, yeah, he's just take a song, fucking beautiful velvet voice.
Starting point is 00:02:00 It's just lush. Anyway, it's nice to see you. It's actually ridiculous how little we've seen each other. It's wild. It's actually wild. So not only are we ships in the night at home, whereas I'm on tour, then I come back and we do the podcast, and then you go away and do your filming and I stay at home. I mean, it's been worked out incredibly well. Well, do you know why, though? Yeah. Big props to South Shore production, because they got sent ages ago your tour.
Starting point is 00:02:23 Yeah. And they basically looked at your tour, and then the schedule the filming, kind of. Well, kind of. I feel so important. Around me, Matt, I think, let's don't quote us on this. No, no, they did. I think they sort of sorted out, but then it, which is great, but also just means that we absolutely don't see each other for like six weeks. Yes, but not only away, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:44 Three months. Not only a way ships in the night at home. Yeah. A really odd thing happened last week where you were filming in Cardiff for three days. You left Cardiff on Thursday night or on Friday afternoon. I arrived in Cardiff. So not only would just Missing each other at home
Starting point is 00:03:00 We'd just miss each other in fucking wheels But I couldn't stay Yeah Because I had to get back for the kids Why would you stay and watch my Well no because But like once upon a time We would have
Starting point is 00:03:10 Once upon a time If your partner Before kids and before child care If your partner was in Wales And you were also in Wales You'd probably stick around to see them Do you know what I mean You probably go
Starting point is 00:03:20 Should we travel home together Yeah to be fair Anyway It's nice to see you It's really nice to see you And I was My mate phone this morning. I didn't, I missed the call and I didn't phone
Starting point is 00:03:28 him back for like three hours. And he's like, what he'd been doing? And I was like, I've been talking to my wife. Catching up. Like, yeah? We are, how obsessed I were with ghosts? Ghosts is so good. We started watching it with Robin and I'm obsessed. I am desperate to watch it. What we are now, series two?
Starting point is 00:03:44 Just start a series two. Yeah. It's amazing. It passed by it completely. We must sound like total idiot here, but it was, oh my God, it's brilliant. It's so clever. I think that's fine though, because there's so much on the telly. Yeah. And I think when it came out, Robin was little. I think it was just life, you know, when you're just kind of like...
Starting point is 00:04:03 And we were deep in Marvel. We went through a couple of years of a table, watched Marvel, and then the spin-off series and all that shit. So we missed loads of stuff. And truth be true, it just didn't look like our bag, I don't think. And I've, I, hands up, I judged it. I judged a book by its cover. I looked at the ghosts.
Starting point is 00:04:21 I thought, ah, it looks a little bit daft. I'll not, but... It's brilliant. It's so clever. And it works, it's like toy story the way it works on two levels. Oh yeah. The stuff for the kids to laugh at. And then you've got obviously the jokes that go where Robin still has no idea why that one ghost is just in his underpants the whole time.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Oh my God. How the, like, so obviously if you've seen it, you'll know that there. Is he a politician? He's a politician. He died in like a sex party, sex acting. And we've had to tell Robin that he was on the toilet, like having a shirt. And he's like, why has he got his trousers off? And I'm like, oh, he died on the toilet?
Starting point is 00:04:50 God. Yeah. Because he didn't eat his vegetables because he had pushed too hard and he popped his bum out. eat vegetables, kids. There you go. And see. No, like, he was blatant getting sucked off. Just like, we can't even.
Starting point is 00:05:02 So anyway, but Rave was awake last night when we had it on and he was all right. Well, you. What? You? Because he was like, who's all these people? And you are like, they're the ghosts. I was like, shut up. No, because, no, that's good.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Because they're like friendly. They're like. But he just doesn't need to know. Right. He doesn't need to know that they're ghosts. He just needs to just. I want him to be involved in the narrative of the show. Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:05:23 But then he felt asleep. So it was fine. Hey. Well, speaking of that, it is time. Guys, thank you for being here. Thank you for watching. Thank you for listening. Like and rate and subscribe and all that crap. Thank you. I'm sick of saying it. But you don't just do it and I'll shut the fuck up about it. Now listen, it is time for this week's lucrative, lucrative sponsor. This week's sponsor on the style of what we've just been saying there in the same sort of ballpark. This week sponsor is Halloween decorations.
Starting point is 00:05:48 They're starting to come up. I fucking hate them. They're tatty as shit. It's like living in a fucking B&M or a home. bargains, get them down. Everyone, including us, we're guilty as well. I know the kids love them, kids love them, and it's just a bit fun for the kids. Listen, there is not a fucking single redeeming feature about Halloween decorations, not one.
Starting point is 00:06:09 Okay, well, I'm going to tell you something. No, actually, it's not even that exciting. I don't know why I teed it up like that. Listen, you couldn't love this. No. You listen and you listen good. I'll tell this for a pound. I'll tell this for a pound.
Starting point is 00:06:22 I'll get, yeah. No, so yesterday I let the kids, because we had the ones from last year, putting the loft. And by loft, I mean, it's just a cupboard at the top of the stairs. It's totally accessible and it's fine. It's an eaves cupboard. It is an eaves. Robin's old enough now and I was like, if you want the decorations up, you are in charge. You and your brother can go and get them.
Starting point is 00:06:43 I'm having nothing to do with it because I was making the tea or I was washing, I was just pottering, right? I like to get my jobs done. Now the kids are old enough that I'm not constantly worried about the 24-7. I just love, I love pottering, right? So I was like, right, you'd do it. So they did, and they did a really good job, I think, but this is going to warm your cockles. So they finally got to the age.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Robin has been there for a little while, but Rayf now being five, we drove around, it was dark, we drove around the other night because I picked Robin up from his friends, and we did a little drive around Shields looking at all the Halloween decorations, and they loved it.
Starting point is 00:07:16 And honestly, you know when you're like, I don't know, it was just a really nice, it was really nice moment, And I just thought, I remember being a kid. Not so much Halloween, because people didn't really do it for Halloween, but like Christmas and stuff like that. Yeah. Oh, that was a proper core memory.
Starting point is 00:07:31 And you know what? It's free. We did half an hour round shield. And it was just like, oh, and then loved it. They were like, look. And Rayf was like, look at that. Spooky and it. So I'm sorry, but I'm all for it.
Starting point is 00:07:42 And you've got a massive web to put up that I got from the entertainer yesterday. Fuck me. But eight quid. I think everyone's got them up. It was like, it was only eight quid. Just quickly checking in with the cockles. Not tepid Still tepid
Starting point is 00:07:54 Did not warm Not warmed If anything They've gone down A couple of degrees You're screwed I just I'm not just
Starting point is 00:08:00 Like Christmas At least Christmas This okay I'm biased towards Christmas Christmas decorations Cozy nostalgic I just don't think
Starting point is 00:08:08 Oh you've Oh Is there some white rope From your front fence Up to the gutter And there's a spider on it Oh Oh great
Starting point is 00:08:16 Ooh everyone I know But I can't I just I'll never get But I'm a I know hands up, I'm a miserable prick and I know I'll never get on board with it.
Starting point is 00:08:25 I just, I just can't. What about the inflatable witch in the port with her legs coming out of the cauldron, not like her? Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. Waste of space. So fucking loud. It's so loud.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Yeah, yeah. It's like there's a heater on. It's like there's a heater on in the front porch. Fucking white noise. The white noise machine. They're loving, man. That's part of being a parent in it. And actually, the one good thing about people
Starting point is 00:08:48 with Halloween decorations outside their house, it's basically a big sign that says we will give you sweets when you're Yeah, when you come and trick or treat. Just only knock them on ones with decorations fucking leave the rest of them because they're just miserable twats like me. There we go. We've got the bottom of it. Okay, I gave in. Fair enough. I'm a miserable twat.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Sorry. Whatever. It's not spooky as tighty. Right, it's the last thing I'm saying. We had to fight about the jingle. We couldn't settle on a jingle. Jingle dingon. So this is the Jingle Jingle Jingo.
Starting point is 00:09:20 We hope you like the Jing. Dingo Babadoo, Babadu, Babadu, Babadu, ba Jingo! Hello and welcome back to Shad Married and Oide. Bloody lovely, this is really nice. It's nice chatting to you again. I can't believe we still enjoy doing this.
Starting point is 00:09:33 I know. It's amazing, isn't it? It's really, really nice. Like, what the hell? So obviously I've been away a lot and it's been lovely. Sounds like you've been in prison. That's what they're saying, real housewives. He's been away.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Been away. Do they really? Oh, yeah. Just like. How many of the? Loads of them. No, hang on. There's been no three.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Three. Sorry. That's quite a lot, though. Yeah, okay. Three of them. Theresa. Oh, sorry, the women? Yes.
Starting point is 00:10:01 Oh, I thought you meant the husbands? No, the women. There's been three women. Three of the women from housewives have been in prison for stretches. Yes. What for? So, Teresa, her husband. Sorry, Teresa.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Teresa, Judey. New Jersey. Her husband made her just sign loads of stuff, and it was tax avoidance. Great. So he did a year and she had the kids and then she did a year
Starting point is 00:10:26 and he had the kids and then he got deported to Italy. He's living in Italy. Yeah, so she did a year in prison. Sorry, but you can do you have the kids
Starting point is 00:10:35 and I have the year. Yeah. I didn't know what you could do. Sounds like a rich person thing. Possibly, but you're in real jail but I think it's like tax avoidance so it's not like you're a real...
Starting point is 00:10:46 What are the court? I always get mixed up with it. It's a collar. Collar crime? It's blue collar crime? I don't know. I get mixed up between white and blue collar.
Starting point is 00:10:53 I don't understand the difference. So she did that. Jen Shaw, she scammed old people and vulnerable people out of money. Fuck her. Yeah, awful. She's like,
Starting point is 00:11:02 she's the one... And then let her back on the show? No. I don't think she'll ever be back on. Good. And then Karen Hugh... Karen Huger. Is that her name?
Starting point is 00:11:12 She has just got out. She's on the new... She's back on the show. She was away for like two years. She had had DUIs. God, God. And another one, there was like loads of mug shots. And currently Wendy from Potomac, she's been investigated for a husband reported that they're
Starting point is 00:11:30 being stolen and like loads of stuff was stolen from the house while they were on Halloween. But they're being burgled, do you mean? Yeah, that they're being burgled, sorry. But actually there were loads of the stuff that returned and it's like an insurance showy. But on the current series, she's like blaming him. Brilliant. Yeah. So, sorry.
Starting point is 00:11:46 The DUI one. Wow, that's really part. That's like just getting pissed and just driving around. Like an idiot. Yeah. And they've got the body cam. It all went viral. Like the body cam is her of like,
Starting point is 00:11:56 do you know who I am? And all this. Oh, it's horrible. It's awful. Do you know what? The two things that I just think must just be the fucking pits when they come out. Obviously body cam footage when someone gets arrested now, they just release it.
Starting point is 00:12:09 And it's like, fuck you. And it's like, as well as everyone knowing you've committed the crime, the body, like fucking hell. Yeah. If I ever get arrested for anything, yeah,
Starting point is 00:12:17 I hope they don't have the body cam footage. For fuck sake. I hope he hasn't charged his camera. if it's ever me. And also, I find really fucking shitty. They've started now releasing videos of like,
Starting point is 00:12:28 oh, did you know this actor auditioned for this role, this iconic role? They didn't get it. But here's the tape. You go, is that all right? Someone's making money from that. Did you ask them?
Starting point is 00:12:37 Is that okay? It's like you send it all there. Chris, we're living a world where if you earn a lot of money, nobody gives a fuck about your feeling. So get used to it. It's just wild. Listen.
Starting point is 00:12:47 Oh, no, one more thing as well that I've noticed recently. I need to tell you something else. No, go on. No, go. Well, I'm just going to, like, another thing I find. You're killing comedy, but that's fine. No, no, this one's, hopefully this one's a little bit more lighthearted. Okay. I keep seeing things, and I don't know if this stuff I'll follow, but I keep seeing things where it's like, someone who was a character, a smaller character in like a massive thing, like a Marvel thing or whatever, you see and they're like, yeah, I think my character had, I think my character had more things to see and discuss.
Starting point is 00:13:12 I think there's more to be explored there, and it's like, such and such is up for playing this character again, and you mean, you mean they want to do a massive fucking film again? you mean they want to pay millions of pounds to do a film? They don't want to give the character justice. They want to do a fucking massive film again. It's wild. Yeah, anyway, go on, carry on. No, I just want to tell you very quickly about Real Housewives, so you've got to understand.
Starting point is 00:13:32 When you're watching it, when you're invested in these people characters, people are like... I know people who love these. People are respect. Matt Ford, fucking obsessed. So I get it. I get that it's good. Can I just tell you, though?
Starting point is 00:13:45 They're not up to... Nobody I know is up to date as much as me. And I don't get asked to be on nothing. I don't get asked to go on no fucking podcasts. Fuck all. I know more about these real housewives than most people. Right. So. That's interesting.
Starting point is 00:14:01 It's really pissing out. They're put it out in the universe. Put it out. Go on. I do it. I do it in my brain all the time. I want to go to the events. That's out in my brain.
Starting point is 00:14:10 Listen, when you're invested in these people's lives, okay, as much as I am. And then when you're watching it, and what happened was, the producers must have been cream in their pants. So they were all in the like sprinter van ready to go on a trip. And then the FBI turned up and they're like, where's Jen show? And they're literally all just like, what the fuck? No. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Nobody knew about it. But they'd been investigating her for years. Yeah. And she went on a reality TV. This is how narcissistic these people are. Yeah. Yeah. Like most, loads of them, you know, their husbands are so fucking dodgy.
Starting point is 00:14:42 Right. And they go on a reality show and you're like, why? Wow. Why are you doing it? Yeah. Madness. He's in waste men. management.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Yeah. That's basically what it is. And the husband's just kind of like, she does little programs, little TV. It's like, you're going to get caught. Wow.
Starting point is 00:14:58 I was about to, do you know what is? The cynic in us was about to say it's a setup, but I doubt you could phone the FBI and go, can you arrest her at this specific time when we're filming?
Starting point is 00:15:08 No, they just wanted to know, I think, I don't think it was for the cameras or anything like that, basically. She just hadn't turned up. Right. Should like,
Starting point is 00:15:16 should skip the, she'd skip the thing because she knew, she'd be, should be tipped off. I don't know if these are real and I'd love to see if they're, I'd love to know if they're real
Starting point is 00:15:24 because I don't think it's a thing that happens over here. On TV shows or sitcoms or movies and American ones where someone serves someone that like you've been served. Yeah, it's real. Yeah, but is it the way they do it though? They go like, oh hi, are you such and such?
Starting point is 00:15:37 And they go, yeah, they go, yeah, they go, yeah, go, you've been served. And it's like a proper like, fuck you. Like, oh, because they've got to physically give them it, haven't they, to say that. Because they can't, because they can't go, I didn't get that summons.
Starting point is 00:15:49 They have to literally give it, yeah. Maybe it's it's like a dickhead job. I'd love it. That's the point I'm getting that. I would love that. Hey, is your name? Hey, is your name, Rosie, but... Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Oh my God, I love... Are you Rosie, yeah? You're definitely Rosie. You've been served. Fucking, and then I just walk off like that. Babadoo, Babadoo, Babadu, Babadu, Babadu, ba. Visit BetMDMDM casino and check out the newest exclusive. The Price is Right Fortune Pick.
Starting point is 00:16:16 BetMDM and Game Sense remind you to play responsive. 19 plus to wager. Ontario only. Please play responsibly. If you have questions or concerns about your gambling or someone close to you, please contact Connects Ontario
Starting point is 00:16:27 at 1-866-531-2,600 to speak to an advisor. Free of charge. BetMGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with Eye Gaming Ontario. So weird thing happened to me the other day. I got on a flight to go down to Bristol.
Starting point is 00:16:47 And I'm just looking at me notes here, So I've got the exact thing right here. Yes. Okay. So I was in seat 3D. My boarding pass said 3D, meaning aisle seat. As you walked down the plane, I'll seat on the left. And I looked in my row three and there was someone on the window seat.
Starting point is 00:17:04 Middle seat was empty and there was someone in my seat 3D. And I looked at the guy and I went, oh, mate, that's my seat. 3D. You're in my seat. And he went, oh, no problem. And he stood up and I'm expecting him to shuffle into the middle bit because he obviously he just didn't want to sit in the middle one. And he stood up as if to let me in.
Starting point is 00:17:23 And I went, oh, no, no. It's not fucking bust. Yeah, I went, no, no. I'm the aisle. I'm the aisle seat. He went, yeah, yeah, fine. And I went, well, are you not? I was like, well, are you not going in the middle?
Starting point is 00:17:33 Was he? He went, oh, no, I'm seven. And he just fucking walked down to his seat and sat in seven. And I was like, what the fuck was that? Like, what? He just wanted to sit four rows up for no reason at all. You can't do that on a place. Well, I was just, I looked at, Carl was like, what the fuck?
Starting point is 00:17:51 I was like, what the fuck was that? And he just walked off and he just sat down in the seat. And he knew was his seat. And I sat down in the seat he'd be sitting in. It was fucking boiling off his ass. And I was devastated. I just sat in a hot, like a swampy hot seat. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:10 But that's by the, what's wrong with people, man? It was really weird. It was, like, everyone was just looking. So fucking odd. So odd. But yeah, fact. It's not my seat, bye. And I was like, well, fucking...
Starting point is 00:18:21 Why would you do that? But it's not like it was the extra leg room, or it was the fucking right at the front, or the one above the wing, or it was a window. He just had randomly sat. Four seat, four aisles up for no reason. Oh yeah, fine, mine's down there, bye. You just want to fucking heap me seat up, you pervert.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Like, what the fuck was that? God, that's done, because I'll hate it. I hate him. I hate him. How ridiculous. So weird. Oh, I'll tell you a lovely story about my flight. Is it lovely?
Starting point is 00:18:48 No, it's lovely. Right. Do you know, like humanity restored. Good, right. I'll have that, yeah. So I was on me a little easy jet flight, which, oh my gosh, one of the cabin crew wrote us like this note. It was really lovely.
Starting point is 00:18:59 And you know, in this modern day where... What I say? A toilet's now five minutes, may you know? No, sadly not. But, you know, fair enough. No, she wrote this lovely letter saying, like, she watched Taskmaster, and she listens to the podcast and all this, and she just kind of handed it and I read it, and then I tapped out, I went, thank you so much.
Starting point is 00:19:14 Like, no photo, no, like, no chat, no nothing. I think it was just really, I was like, class act. That is classy. That is classy. Listen, on the flight, there was a little puppy who was busy doing their guide dog training. And then the captain told everyone, said we've got a very special guest on board, blah-de-blah. This is, I can't remember what the dog was called. And everyone applauded.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Everyone did like a little clap for the little guide dog. And you know when you go, there is nice people in the world. Oh, that's funny. It was lovely. Oh. It was really sweet. And it warmed me heart. And I thought, you know what?
Starting point is 00:19:50 Cockle check in? Cockles. Gorgeous. Cockles, medium hot. Very sweet. And you know what I'm really sad about? When I walked past, I forgot to have a look. But the dog?
Starting point is 00:20:00 And I forgot to look. I totally forgot. No, I totally forgot the dog existed. I walked past, didn't look. And then I got down and I was like, oh, I didn't even see the fucking dog. I don't even know what the dog looks like. Oh, I'll be a Labradoro.
Starting point is 00:20:13 Cute. Yeah, well, I know, it'll be a certain kind of dog. But I thought, I don't know, I don't even look a little little. Anyway. That's dead nice. You know what is? Well done. You haven't killed comedy.
Starting point is 00:20:21 You've actually done a little, happy little story. Well done you. Do you want a horrible story? Yes. Or do a nice story. I've got a horrible story. I can do both. Let's go horrible and then you can bring the nice one back in and lift the spirits again.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Okay. So. We're doing a horrible story sandwich. Yeah, I heard a story while I was at work. You know, when you're chatting and it gets a bit binging. And you know what we do. And people look at, I think they know that we got the podcast and whatever. There's been a lot of times when I'm like, can I use that on the podcast?
Starting point is 00:20:47 Oh, I'll see the call every five minutes. So somebody was telling us a story about someone they know. And I was like, is this a true story? And they were like, it's absolutely 100% true. And I was just like, Jesus Christ. It's like when they were a lot younger, they met a lad. Right. Is this a lady met a lad or a boy?
Starting point is 00:21:05 Yeah, lady met a lad. They had some fried chicken. Great. She was on her period. So they couldn't have vaginal sex. So they decided to have anal sex. Absolutely fine. consensual, totally consensual.
Starting point is 00:21:18 They didn't have any lube. No, no! No! Don't you day! Don't you day! No! So they used the grease from the chicken skin. Ah! God! Is it a butt lube? That.
Starting point is 00:21:40 That! That's the worst! Still, do you know what? Do you know what's wrong with... All right, that makes you feel faint. Do you know what's wrong with me? I could eat a bucket full of chicken right now. Just the throat. about it. Just after I'm talking about it.
Starting point is 00:21:57 Anal sex involved or not, I just, the thought of the chicken, I haven't had a KFC. I haven't had a KFC for years. You keep saying KFC. I don't care. It was KFC.
Starting point is 00:22:09 I haven't had a KFC. I haven't had one for years and I would die for one. If you put one, literally you could tell us that story and I go, oh, that's a bit gross. Put in front of us, I go, oh, and what?
Starting point is 00:22:24 It's almost like you're coming down on the wrong side of the story. I bet you they told you that. They told you that. They told you that and then for the rest of the day you'll have just thought about fried chicken, wouldn't you? I did. I did.
Starting point is 00:22:34 It's better than, is it better than spit? I don't know. Fuckin out. Is it? The grease of the chicken? I just feel like it would be a bit salty. I feel like it would be a bit stinky. Just, oh God.
Starting point is 00:22:45 Some people love food sex. That well, they're awful. Sloters or splosh, what they're called? They're just awful. They're called the future inmates of the prison of Chris Ramsey when I take over the world. Right. They'll be,
Starting point is 00:22:57 people walk in the streets, I'll tell you that. Okay, people who involve, there is genuinely a whole kink of food sex. That is something I could get into. Oh, come on. No, Loa me onto a cake. Come on. Yes, please.
Starting point is 00:23:15 What? What do you mean? No, come on. Eat some buttons off a dick. Absolutely. I watch the guy with a dick getting out of that. He's just a fucking plate. Like, what's going on?
Starting point is 00:23:27 He loves it. He loves it. I'll be honest for you. I think it shows how naive we are to stuff like it's because the funny thing you can think of is being a load on a cake or eating some milky butt and sod. I don't I don't think we're creatively filthy enough for these people. What do you mean? What are you thinking? Like honey and that? Oh, I'm like, melt the chocolate. Nutella out of people's bombs. Right. Okay. Oh, no. Yeah, exactly. No, no, no. No, but yeah. I think, you know what is, right, Rosie? I'm going to, I think I've worked you out here. How about, right?
Starting point is 00:23:58 cut to the middle man I'll just give you a bag in the buttons that would be lovely oh god if I don't have to suck a dick oh I do anything I don't get out of that
Starting point is 00:24:06 they've been in the fridge as well because they've been good well done there it is babadoo babadoo babadoo babadoo babadoo so because we are estranged I don't have a beef I don't have a beef
Starting point is 00:24:16 I'm meeting around you enough literally and last week I forced a beef and you got very upset oh yeah so you know what I'm not going to force a beef I think we've been working
Starting point is 00:24:25 our work life balance has been amazing I want to give you I had to say some, one thing. What the fuck's happening? If I had to just say one little thing, you keep talking about how good you are at golf. No.
Starting point is 00:24:37 And also, I don't really like to her, Chris. How much better I'm getting at golf. Okay, I don't really like to her, Chris. He's very arrogant. He's just a bit of a show off, and he just talks about how good he is getting at golf, and it really puts us off. But I don't think we should bother.
Starting point is 00:24:54 Absolutely fucking unbelievable. I didn't even do this. they watch your beef thing. Okay. You said you've got something to say? No, it was going to be really nice. I was going to say I want to commend you on how amazing you've been. When I'm away with the kids, you're not giving us any shit,
Starting point is 00:25:09 saying that there'll be your nightmares, bringing us up and saying it's awful. Don't do that. Well, because they're a lot easier now. They're older. And then when you're away, I've got them, I think we've got a good balance going on. And then the other day you're on. Oh, when I'm away, though, when I'm on set, busy filming a TV show, I definitely get texts saying what uniform are they wearing.
Starting point is 00:25:25 So that's fun. Which you didn't reply to until all. already had them at school so that was fine. So it's as if it's as if you can cope without us. And it's as if... But I don't like to. You should have...
Starting point is 00:25:34 Write it down. I do have thieves. So you've got two beefs. I've got two beefs. Two beefs. Why don't you know? Why don't you know? What's beef?
Starting point is 00:25:42 Beef. I don't you know. Like, write it down. Um... Write it down. No. I don't think I will. Okay, I will.
Starting point is 00:25:51 I'll try. You are fucking so... Like, it was mad. It was so... It was actually really funny though. because obviously there was a few women who were on the team and I got a text and I was like, you're not going to believe this.
Starting point is 00:26:04 And I was just like, oh my gosh, Claire, I don't actually know what a title is on the show. I'm so sorry. I think she's like, producer, exactly. I'm not sure. I'm so sorry, I should, I'll have a look. Okay. Find out and let you know next week.
Starting point is 00:26:16 She told me that she had to FaceTime my daughter. She was FaceTime on her daughter and she then had to, the dad hadn't woke up to take the kids to school. No way. So she then had to like call the dad to wake him up. Right.
Starting point is 00:26:32 But I'm a lot better than that. And that's actually worse. Yeah, I'm a lot better than that. I'm on it. I just, you know. That was funny. I knew, in all honesty, I knew what days they had what uniform,
Starting point is 00:26:40 but Robin, he freaked us out. He went, no, it's not. It's this. Tell me off the top of your head. Oh. Monday, both normal. Tuesday. Both normal.
Starting point is 00:26:51 Wednesday. Robin P.E. Rafe normal. Thursday, both P.E. Friday normal. Both normal. No. Rave's got paid on a Friday as well.
Starting point is 00:26:59 It's got two days a week. Congrats. Okay. That's a lot better, wasn't it? That's good. Well, there we go. Well, all I was going to say is, yeah. And then the other day I was on my way back when I said I was flying back and you were
Starting point is 00:27:10 like, what do you want for tea? You made, I had homemade lasagna when I got back with some broccoli. It was fantastic. So I just want to say thank you. You're so welcome. You're so welcome. And genuinely, not rightly. I really appreciate that you appreciate me.
Starting point is 00:27:21 There we go. So thank you. And I appreciate you as well. One little upsetting thing though Have you just gone off a Sunday roast? Yes Okay Not worth the carnage afterwards
Starting point is 00:27:34 Oh is that right Not worth Wow There's loads of trays There's lots of components Yeah loads of components Carnage Is that why you like lasagna so much
Starting point is 00:27:45 Because it's just one One pot and I get rid of it and it's done Yeah There's no I know there's a few There's a bashamel In a lube distribution skins lying right
Starting point is 00:27:54 It's all good. There's a bechamel sauce pan. There's the lasagna pan. It took two minutes. No, the Bolognese pan, then there's the lasagna pot. Okay, fair enough. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:02 You're welcome. I make a banging lasagna. It's the best lasagna I've ever had to me like. It's amazing. Babadoo, babadoo, babadoo, babadu, babadu, ba. So I've got another Carl story for you. Come on then. It's incredible that me and Carl Hutchinson
Starting point is 00:28:16 have been very, very close friends for so long now. We've gone to comedy together. We've spent hours, hundreds, thousands of hours in together just sit and talk and still we're just still talk and we're still coming up with stuff that I've never heard it's a really lovely friendship and I'm so glad that you've got them in your life and I think it's I think it's really really good and I think it's good for men to have yeah we're very close we're talk to each other you know we're very you know tell each other we'll
Starting point is 00:28:42 love each other and that we're probably like you know I love you mate love you too like we're really really close it's lush right you've got that with a few of you mate you're very yeah but now and then he will come out with a story and I think how do I not know this and I've known you for so long. So he told us on the day and I said straight at all I said, can I tell Rosie that on the podcast? He was like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:59 So when he was younger, he went to Bold and Asda with his mom. So Bold and Azda, for a long time, it was the biggest supermarket around here, wasn't it? I think,
Starting point is 00:29:09 the thing. I think it was the biggest supermarket in Europe for a while. I think that's absolute bollocks, but... No, I'm sure when Asda merged with Walmart, Okay, maybe some wrong.
Starting point is 00:29:24 I think you're thinking of the metro centre used to be the biggest. Yeah, no, I'm not. I'm thinking of that ASDA. But listen, that could be wrong. Anyway, it was the one, it was too far away from our house when we didn't have a car.
Starting point is 00:29:34 Yeah, it was the posh one that I never went to. My friends who used to go to Bolden ASDA, I was just like, oh my God, what is this? It was like the beat of Vegas. Yeah. Why was that? It's insane. It's just aft.
Starting point is 00:29:46 You go to Bold and Athornazda. Oh my God. And you buy, you buy. Muldibax Well When we were doing the warm up Our arena tour Our tour manager
Starting point is 00:29:59 Went to Shields Asda and asked for a product I don't say what the product is But it was maybe a little bit of a posher product And the Shieldsazda guy went Oh not in here You'll get them in Bullsazda I'm fucking hell
Starting point is 00:30:12 Anyway I'm sorry I'm now just living in the past Of how much I was desperate To go to Bold Nasta When you were a kid Yeah I was just, I think we used to get with Christmas shop in there.
Starting point is 00:30:23 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sometimes too. Fantastic. Oh, God, special times. So, Carl's like nine. And he goes there. Sorry, okay, sweet, right?
Starting point is 00:30:35 And there used to be the toilets right at the front, right? And he goes into the toilets and he goes into the cubicle and he sits down and he starts having a poo, right? Now this is in the days, this is because now you go into a toilet and it's got the automatic lights or the lights are just already on. This is in the days when there was a light switch on the wall. Yes, of course. He heard some teenagers, some older kids, come in, mess around in the toilet,
Starting point is 00:30:57 realized someone was in the cubicle, a little bit of whispering, and then they turned off the light and they ran out. Now, this is an internal room, no lights, no, non-eer sort of things you've got now where there's just a, like, a little bit just be a safety light on where you used to absolute pitch darkness, like full on, hands over your eyes, couldn't say a thing. And he was too scared. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:31:20 two skating had come out with a cubicle and turn the light back on. So he attempted to wipe his ass in the pitch-darkest, and he couldn't see a thing. And he, like, did it. And then he pulled his pants up, and then he ran out, and he ran out into the other thing of master. And his mom was standing there, and she just went, call!
Starting point is 00:31:38 And he just had his own shit all down his arm. All down his arm, like a fucking stripe of it, just all down his jump out. Just like, what there? So he goes, he went in, they turned the lights off, he got scared, and then he went out and he got bollicked. How have you never heard that? He keeps coming out with them. I don't know what it is.
Starting point is 00:32:09 It's just now and then he just goes to never tell him up. That's not going no, and he just brings it. It's fucking great, man. That's insane. So funny. Put a little bug out of man. Oh, that's funny. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:32:20 Oh, poor kid, man. Can you imagine trying to wipe your ass in complete darkness? Yeah. As a child. I think loads of stuff like that used to happen to me as a kid. Not mental. But just, yeah, like,
Starting point is 00:32:34 just loads of stuff like that used to happen. Aye, I do, I totally do. Like, I've told you, and I'm sure I've told all of you, but one of the best days in my life. At B&Q? Was it B&Q? It's home bargains now.
Starting point is 00:32:48 What did home bargains used to be in Shields next to police station? What was that back in the day? God, I don't know. It was BN Q. It was B&Q. 100% B&Q. It was a M&Q.
Starting point is 00:32:57 massive B and Q. My Kev went missing for ages, right? I don't know where the fuck you went. They had to put the tannoy out in that. And I went, and do you know now I'm like, I don't even know.
Starting point is 00:33:09 I was on the Postman Pat ride for ages. It just, I think it was broke or somebody kept putting money in. Yeah. I don't know. Yeah. Was that nearly stolen?
Starting point is 00:33:19 I honestly don't know, but it was one of the best days ever. Why was it the best day ever? Because Kev went missing and you got to stay on this ride loads and like my mum. and dad were they were looking for
Starting point is 00:33:28 Kev. Wow. I don't know where Kate was. Who was putting money in this ride? This is going to haunt me forever. What the thing
Starting point is 00:33:36 you've just worked out is going to haunt you forever? No, I think about it. I sometimes think about it all the time. I sometimes think about it all the time. 60% of the time it works every time. Because I think it was broke or maybe someone who worked there
Starting point is 00:33:47 would just rigged it so I could stay on it. Can you remember there was some kind of home improvement B&Q DIY store called Dickinson. or something like that and it had a soft play at the beginning and you could just go in
Starting point is 00:34:00 drop your kid at the soft play and then go and do the shopping No, I don't remember that at all Do they still exist? Are you kind of IKEA? Can you? Can't you? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:10 Oh, of course you can the big IKEA and think Oh well fucking hell No, I don't know Oh, I don't know how's that? Oh, years ago I can't remember I've never heard of it Never ever heard of it
Starting point is 00:34:19 And you don't have a sibling In the ring Oh, it sucks to be you You got no one to correlate your memories. Fucking hell. Babadoo, babadoo, babadoo, babadoo, babadu, bach.
Starting point is 00:34:34 It's time for questions from the public. From the public. Awful. As always, if you'd let you get in touch at Shag, mydenoid at gmail.com or to send a voice note, which we have an abundance of this week. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:34:47 It's 07-874-40-6650. Massive thank you to the person who has crafted us I haven't got it yet. It's getting sent up by our man. company, someone's literally crafted us a plaque with the number on. It's as if you should just wait to look at here. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:35:06 I should. Pretty easy. Maybe I want to thank them twice. Maybe I want to thank them now, a preemptive thank you, and then I thank you when I physically got the thing. So, you know, oh, sorry, I'm not a lot of thank people anymore. We're canceling that as well. Oh, hi.
Starting point is 00:35:18 Go on. You've always known to your best. Have you got a good memory? No. No. Oh. Why? Just tonight, when I go to bed, can you tell us to switch the plug on?
Starting point is 00:35:29 Because I've tried to charge my phone three nights in a row, and it's not even plugged in. Yeah, I've been doing that. I do that a lot in hotels. It's well upset. And I'm like, why have I got 30%? Yeah. Because it just wasn't on. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:40 But I think, and I'm charging it all night, and I haven't even, it's not. That voice note literally just said that you're there. Get on with it. Keeps cycle. Right. Are you ready? Yeah. Hi, Chris and Rosie.
Starting point is 00:35:54 I just wanted to put in my two pence about the Italian lakes. I'm currently in. Como right now and it's a Sunday in October it's absolutely round the train here from Milan packed in like sardines people were screaming it smelled funny it was really uncomfortable we had to stand for the whole trip and then we've just been walking along the lake front can't find anywhere to eat can't get an approll I wanted to be tipsy by midday yep and all we've done is cue walk around try to find somewhere to sit can't find anywhere I think Lake Garda was a good choice so I think it's fine
Starting point is 00:36:30 okay I was a bit too busy for my liking I'll be both bye wow well well well well well turneth for the books of the books of turn can we just go back please and concentrate very briefly on the train was rammed people were screaming
Starting point is 00:36:47 that's a bit dramatic what the fuck was that would you take her opinion seriously people were screaming Do you know what it reminds us of? Have we talked about this on here when you guys on holiday when you were younger
Starting point is 00:37:03 you had to be transferred from the hotel you were in to another hotel in your mom's description of that hotel? I've never forgotten it so you're transferred from the hotel
Starting point is 00:37:14 which can I be honest with you the hotel you guys were in I can't imagine it being that nice anyway Yeah it was rotten like no Why was taken to another one? Was it something to do I think it was the flight
Starting point is 00:37:25 or the transfer or something so I had to stay an extra night or something. And they put you in some like rough hotel. I mean, way well buzzing because it was all inclusive. Yeah, yeah. So. I'd never experienced an all inclusive life before. Sandra has explained that I've had to tell us the story so many times
Starting point is 00:37:39 because it was just like, oh, oh, this hotel the put wind. Oh, God, it was rammed, there was this, there was a list of things, but the bit that always sticks out is where she goes, people. I can't even see it. So it's just go, oh, it was rammed, it was filthy, there wasn't enough some beds, that pool was this, it was that, people were vomiting everywhere. Why did you think one kid vomited?
Starting point is 00:38:07 I think one person, one person, I don't even think, I think one person may have coughed. And she's like, it's like, she's describing it, like a military hospital. You know, like in like saving private Ryan or like band of brothers
Starting point is 00:38:21 and they go to the military hospital, they're just like, ah, it's that. So this is the thing, right? You don't know my mom. you only know my mom post menopause. Right, okay. Pre-menopause.
Starting point is 00:38:34 Right. Really? Really? I laugh about it now, but no one, like, she didn't smile. Yeah. She was not happy. Like, you know, from your memories. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:45 And the menopause did my mom bad. Like, she really struggled, like a bit like me. Like, you know. Oh, you're going to. The hormones and all that kind of stuff. Like, she really struggled. Bless her. So now you know my mom and she's just like,
Starting point is 00:38:57 a ray of sunshine but back then yeah she didn't enjoy we didn't stay at hotels she hated anyone who spoke to her people are vomiting everywhere but I think as well you know I think my dad my dad talked to everyone and my mom would be like stop talk if you talk to another person
Starting point is 00:39:14 my dad just like what I just look I just like the train from Milan was so round where partly like Sardines people were screaming but just like I just all I can imagine is just like you're all in like, you're holding the bit above,
Starting point is 00:39:29 like, like the whole way, someone's just screaming for noise. You know the story of my Kate when my dad went on a cruise, don't you? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And they just argued
Starting point is 00:39:39 and I'd fight and phone all the time. And Kate told me dad to show, like my dad's really affected that Kate told him to shut up. And apparently, they met this man at the bar. Shout to apologize him from the next day because my dad met this man.
Starting point is 00:39:55 And they ended up talking about where he's from. And he said he was a fan of us and my dad's like, well, you're not going to believe this. Like, I'm a dad type thing. And then my Kate came down. And apparently my dad went, oh, and this is Rosie's sister. And Kate looked at the man and went,
Starting point is 00:40:09 ah, walked off. Oh, thinking that your dad had initiated it. I don't even know. My Kate was just like, oh. And walked off. And then the next day, she had to, like, apologize to this man and go, I'm really sorry if I was rude. Great.

Starting point is 00:41:38 Babadoo, Babadoo, Babadu, Babadu, bah. Right, what do you want? Story about leaving a five-star review. What is the worst of these two icks? I'll have them in order. You want them all? Yeah. Ah, good voice, noise, not heavy.
Starting point is 00:41:49 Let's do it. All right, okay. Ready? Hi, Chris and Rosie. It's Amy from East Yorkshire. I'm just listening to this week's podcast. And Rosie, you were saying that you were asked to leave a five-star review so the waitress got off. One of my colleagues used to work for a nationwide company, and she was telling me that in order to pass your probation period at this company, the final step of the probation period was to rate them as a five-star employer.
Starting point is 00:42:14 And if you didn't rate them as a five-star employer, you wouldn't pass your probation period. No. Apparently they were not a five-star employer. Love the part. Bye. Can I just again. That's true, though. The pregnant pauses and her final statement there was fantastic.
Starting point is 00:42:33 Apparently they were not a five-star employer. You've got to rate them as a five-star employer. That's crazy. And I don't... But actually, at the same time, just do it. Yeah. Like, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:48 Lie. That's so bad, though. Do you know what I mean, though? Yeah, but that's so bad. Do you know what I mean? I'm not surprised though. Yeah. But it's like, I mean, it's one, you know, it's like Hunger Games shit.
Starting point is 00:42:59 Do you know what I mean? Like, are you completely happy with this? Nope, well, there's the fucking door. Like, what the hell? When I worked at Dorothy Perkins, I couldn't go into Dorothy Perkins every day and go, top shop is so much better than this place. You've got to bleed Dorothy Perkins.
Starting point is 00:43:12 I suppose, but they're saying go online and literally review them in, you know, in print out there forever as a fact, so it goes, so they just get all their employees, I rate them as far as starting, there might not be. Oh, I hadn't thought of that. It's fucking, that's North Korea.
Starting point is 00:43:26 Yeah. You have to rate them as a five star, employer to be employed. Well, I know, but sometimes, desperate times. Yeah, I know what you mean. Like, I've got a conscience now I'm older and I don't lie. Now, I would actually just say like, well, actually, this is shit and this is shit. But back when I was younger, yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:46 Yeah, but what you've got comes with, you know, job security and being able to go, I don't actually need a second fucking leave. You're a one-star employer, but, you know, they can't do that. You ready for the next one? Yes. That was very interesting. Thank you both. Thank you to everybody who sent knees in, by the way, because I feel
Starting point is 00:43:59 feel like we didn't appreciate the first lady of the late Como stuff. That was brilliant, yeah. Really appreciate it. Hope you got your app, we're all in the end, because there's nothing more depressing than being on holiday and really wanting a drink and not finding any way to have said drink. And for the drink to be disheartened. It was just rammed everywhere into the just cute and everything.
Starting point is 00:44:15 That's not what happens, man. Places get popular. Let's wait for it to die down. Annoyingly, we gave it a big shout out on you. Everyone's seeing Como was better, so that's probably not helped. Instagram. I blame Instagram.
Starting point is 00:44:24 All right, okay. It's because, like, on Instagram now, and I'm a victim of it. You kind of look and you go, oh, where could I go? Where's nice? And people do loads of videos about everywhere that you've never really been
Starting point is 00:44:35 and you go, I'll go there. And then they don't really want you there. Yeah. Anyway, ready? Yeah. Hi, Chris and Rosie. I just drove into work listening to your podcast as usual.
Starting point is 00:44:48 And I was listening to the episode where the woman gave a voice note about the man who was running with his hands in his pockets for the ick. And I kid you not, five minutes later on my drive, I see a man running, but he's got his hands on his hips.
Starting point is 00:45:06 And it was equally as icky, and I thought, question for you guys, is it more icky to have hands on the hips or hands in the pockets when running? It's really fucking dangerous. Hands on the hips. I think that's more icky.
Starting point is 00:45:19 At least with the hands in the pockets, he could be like getting something out. It's so dangerous. Why do you run like that? It's really, really weird. Run on the hands in the pockets is mental, very dangerous. The hands on the hips is, yeah, that's just, was he stretching? You might have caught him just at a moment.
Starting point is 00:45:35 He might have been stretching something. I'm doing it now and I'm like sort of stretching the front of my chest and then he, oh, that's funny though. Very strange. Yeah, da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-ba-da-da. You don't have to finish it. Ask me what I want, what I want for my lunch. Ask me what I want, what I want for lunch. What do you want for lunch?
Starting point is 00:45:56 Kiss. Babadoo, babado, babadoo, babadoo, bah. Hi, Chris and Rosie, just a quick one. Listening to the episode where Rafe was called Muscles Strongs. Oh, that was a good one. A few years ago, when my nephew Dylan was around three or four years old, he forgot the word for ankles. So instead he called them leg wrists.
Starting point is 00:46:20 He's now 13 and we usually bring it up about once a month. Clever kid. Leg wrists is really funny. That's really funny and really clever. Clever, eh? Yeah. He might be a genius. Do you remember when
Starting point is 00:46:32 Daniel, my nephew, just, why did he even do that? You'd just be like, a bag of shoes. A bag of shoes. I don't know, why did he do that?
Starting point is 00:46:41 They used to say that all the time. And then we'd be like, a bag of shoes. So fucking weird. That was before social media was like really, really intruding our lives, wasn't it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:51 So, simple pleasures. A bag of shoes. Bag of shoes. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Hi, Rosie and Chris. Hope you both well. Yes.
Starting point is 00:46:58 Just a very short story here. This morning, I went to the hairdressers and noticed that the woman cutting my hair had a runny nose and had to stop multiple times to blow our nose.
Starting point is 00:47:09 She said, I'm so sorry I've got hair fever to which I reply that is perfectly okay if she had to take short breaks for that. I think she was sometimes
Starting point is 00:47:19 touching her nose with her hands because at some point I noticed that while she was combing my hair she also combed through stop shaking your head a long string of snort. No, fucking no. that then just stayed in my hair.
Starting point is 00:47:34 Oh, God. And I pretended that I didn't notice, but I did, I just didn't know how I was supposed to react to that. What would you have done? Oh, God. I mean... I wouldn't have done anything.
Starting point is 00:47:45 I'd have said something. You would have said something, but I would have just... If you just put... Is that gel, or if you just combed a fucking snark through me here? You... You...
Starting point is 00:47:53 You... Lunatic. Like, go take a moment. I'm sorry you've got hair fever. Awful. This must be an old email, because obviously, I don't think you can get it at this moment in time
Starting point is 00:48:02 because of the pollen. Yeah, this would be off a few months ago. Like fucking hell. Oh, God, like gel. Yeah, like gel. Yeah, like, but... I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:48:13 That's bad, in it. I would have been upset, but I wouldn't have said anything. Because, like, there's loads of times I just never see anything and I just think... I know.
Starting point is 00:48:25 Well, and there's loads of times I say something and I immediately regret it. I know. You're the one who says something. Yeah, I say something. Yeah, I say something. something I go, why have I done that? And I'll have to turn into a joke. And then I have to be overly nice to the person
Starting point is 00:48:34 for the rest of the interaction. And I'm like, that's just exhausted and I should just kept me fucking mouth shut. But I can't sometimes. Oh. Yeah. Um, this just makes his laugh.
Starting point is 00:48:46 It's the end bit that made his laugh more than the actual thing. Does this the snort one still? No. No. Dear Rosie and Chris, I've been listening since day one and still loving every episode. Oh, thank you so much. Thank you. We appreciate that so much.
Starting point is 00:48:57 Genuinely, unreal in it. Crazy. I thought I'd tell you about an ick that presented itself the other day. There's an attractive bloke at work that ticks all the boxes for my visually pleasing criteria. Got you. It's good.
Starting point is 00:49:09 He's also a nice guy, so that's a bonus. Okay. Pretty good so far. Yeah? Yeah? However, a colleague told me the other day that they were on a walk on break and he started doing parkour.
Starting point is 00:49:34 Because in his head, it's the most impressive thing he can do. Like I'm good looking, I'm a nice guy. And you'll never believe it, ladies. I can also fucking parkour the shit like this. We are in our 30s. He is almost 40. So when he was doing his moves,
Starting point is 00:49:52 he was grunting and panting saying he'd hurt his knees and back. Double-eck. This is what made his life. He's suffering. He's suffering for his heart. Just like, oh, God, me back. Parkour.
Starting point is 00:50:09 Oh, my knee. Oh, my God. No, Chris, this is the bit that got me. Putting deep heat on after he's lunch on that. You ready? This is the listener from day one. Yeah. Okay, Chris, were you ever into parkour?
Starting point is 00:50:26 It's got your name. Parkour? Yeah. He's got your name written all over. Do you know what? Thankfully, it passed us by. Thank God for that. The first time I was made aware of Parkour
Starting point is 00:50:37 was around about, I think it was a documentary I saw on the tell you about it, literally years. ago and just after that it was Casino Royale at the beginning of Casino Royale was the first mainstream thing I saw of it where
Starting point is 00:50:50 James Bond's chasing the guy and he's chasing him all over that building site and the guy's doing all the parkour and in Reston I was talking about this year day just you know how you did you film a media so that first obviously Casino Royal was Daniel Craig's first James Bond film and I remember the people are like and obviously they're busy
Starting point is 00:51:08 they're going to announce the new Bond soon I'm a big James Bond fan Who is you better? I know what I talked about before. The reckon it's going to be possibly the guy who plays Rivercart right from slow horses. Love him.
Starting point is 00:51:19 Be interesting to see what they did. He's a little bit Daniel Craigie, I think. But I think he could, he's obviously a fantastic act right. And he can make his own thing. Do you think Idris is a bit too? What is that for? I think Idris is, no Idris is actually
Starting point is 00:51:30 from what I've heard. Idris Elbas. No, he stepped back and he's went, look, I'm too old. I can't do that. I think he might be a bit too. I think if it had been like 10 years ago, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:39 I think he would have been. It is what it is, Yeah. Oh, sensational. You didn't see him in the wire. When he was in the wire, when he was literally at his, I mean, he's always, he's still lush, but he's like the luscious at his peak lushness,
Starting point is 00:51:51 straight after the wire if he'd went straightened and unbelievable. Anyway, they're talking about Henry Cavell as well, but I think Henry Cavell's busy with Warhammer. I think he's too, too good looking almost. Too, I don't know, I don't know. I think they'll go left field. I think there'll be somewhere you go, really? But then they might really impress.
Starting point is 00:52:11 The thing with Daniel Craig, though, it's interesting, if you watch that first, that's the first scene where he's chasing that parkour guy. There's a bit where the guy runs, and he jumps up and he swings through, like a tiny, like, vent shaft-shaped hole in a plaster wall, and he swings through it, and Daniel Craig just fucking runs through the wall,
Starting point is 00:52:29 just, boom, smashes through the wall. And in a way, what they're saying is, this is his bond, this is what he's going to be like. He's going to fucking smash through stuff. He's a bulldog, he's a terrier, he's just, and they sort of explain the bond in that one bit straight away. And it would just be, it's just interesting to say where they're going to go next.
Starting point is 00:52:46 Have I bored you? No. No. Does it make sense? Kind of. It's fine. Can I bring it back to this though, the parkour thing? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:52:53 We were at the skatey park, me and my friends with the kids. And there was three grown men there on skateboards and honesty. Like, every 10 minutes, I think we just went, what the fuck are they doing? Like, I know. And I shouldn't. And that's so awful.
Starting point is 00:53:09 because actually everyone should be free to do what they want. But honestly, when you're watching your five and six-year-olds at the skatey park and the kids, these three grown men, all other notes probably, I was just a bit, and they weren't even good. And I was just like, what the fuck? In their defence, skateboarding's incredibly difficult. It is. It is.
Starting point is 00:53:26 Scootin is so easy compared to skateboard. The way I see in them, the fact that they are there as grown men, you'd think they'd done it the whole lives. Right. They should have been better. I feel like they'd just pick this hobby up recently. Right. A mid-life crisis skateboard. Possibly. You know what?
Starting point is 00:53:43 Actually, I'm a dick. No, no, it's fine. You can have your opinion. It's fine. I think a lot of women would agree with you. But it was just, it was like, it was a real ick. Yeah. Between what you mean. I think it's because while they're watching with kids. We're just like, can you just move? Like, my fuck.
Starting point is 00:54:00 Should have timings. Yeah, but it's an outdoor skateboard. I know, but there should be timings of like, you know. Honestly, skateboarding. It's just... I think it was the juxtaposition of seeing the grown men and our kids
Starting point is 00:54:12 to get playing together. Yeah. You imagine the ice cream van would pull up and they'd all run at the same time. That's what it was. It wasn't even the fact... Because actually, I think... Like, I think it's quite cool.
Starting point is 00:54:27 I think, like, that... I'm not... I'm not saying that that's an egg. I think, like, BMX and, like, Robin's really a newie scooter. Like, I think it's mint. I genuinely, I always had a bit. of a thing for like that kind of alternative.
Starting point is 00:54:41 It's an alternative. Like, you know, whatever. So it wasn't that. That's what it was. It was the fact that they were there at the same time as our kids and they were kind of just playing with our kids. And they were like taking turns on the big ramps. Like literally the burns would go down and then they go down after and I was just like,
Starting point is 00:54:57 it's when the grown men on the skateboard have to stand and wait for the child on the scooter move. That's the moment. Yeah, of course. You've seen it. Yeah. I just was like, oh God, this is weird. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:07 But then they probably thought. thought I wish these kids would fuck off. Yeah, exactly. And then, you know what, they pay taxes and our kids don't, so actually. But I do pay taxes. I don't know anyway, listen. It's all perspective. It is, but it was, yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:19 I was just kind of like, oh, yeah. Next time, take a kid. Take a kid with you. If they were there with their kids and they were doing it at the same time, I don't know what you mean. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm glad you agree. All right.
Starting point is 00:55:32 Babadoo, babo do, babo do, ba. Guys, thank you so much for listening. and watching this week's episode of Shagmurdenoid. Yes, thank you so much. We really do appreciate it.
