Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello, you're listening to Shagmary and Ioy, please keep me anonymous. This week we're joined by three of my favourite brothers in the world. We've got Ryan, Scott and Adam, also known as the Thomas Brothers. Love them, absolutely love them. We had Ryan and Adam on our TV show back in the day, but we had all three of them in the room today. In the flesh. In the flesh, even though Scott was late. I'll mention that through Gritted Teeth because he was tardy, tardy.
Starting point is 00:00:26 They were on talking about their podcast at home with the Thomas Brothers. I mean, they are three hilarious lads. We always have a right laugh with them. I can only imagine how funny their podcast is. It's a weekly podcast. It brings listeners into the heart of the Thomas family for unfiltered conversations, hilarious brotherly brand out and stories that they don't usually get here.
Starting point is 00:00:42 And if you absolutely love them and you want even more, you can get exclusive content and early access by becoming a bromey on their subscription service for the podcast. So check that out and enjoy the episode. It was all right, laugh. Yeah. We had to fight about the jingle. Jingle.
Starting point is 00:01:00 Let alone a jingle jingo So this is the jingo Jingo We hope you like the jingo Jinnu Bhabo do babadu babadu babadu babadu ba Jingo Oh dear all these northerners
Starting point is 00:01:16 If he does spend off his time down south So we've only got two Thomas brothers Yes Scott's journaling Yeah man He's journalins Again So he's gonna die
Starting point is 00:01:28 To explain to everyone watching or listening we've got the Thomas brothers on and Scott is the only one without children and Rosie's very upset that someone without children dares to be late for anything because it's obviously the only burden in your life is your children Oh yeah
Starting point is 00:01:44 And you obviously You actually cause us to be later For the kids and I do Yeah I do yeah But you know that's you blame it on the kids Right Can't rush perfection yeah I remember years ago
Starting point is 00:01:55 When we only had one kid I remember we were about to leave the house I've said it before on the podcast but we're about to leave the house for a day trip somewhere and I said to Rosie actually I'm desperate for a shit I need to go to the toilet and she went oh can you not just go later
Starting point is 00:02:07 and I was like no you're desperate for shit you need a shit's work yeah yeah I've got to go now ask any woman and I'd hate to turn this into a gender thing ask any woman ask your wives when you get home if they were leaving
Starting point is 00:02:22 they were going to be late for somewhere and they had the kids and they needed a shit they would just wait so that's your homework lads go on ask your wife That's the first thing that I'll do when I get home tonight. You've never seen your wife have a shit. No, that's a very good point actually. I've never seen my wife have a shit.
Starting point is 00:02:38 I don't know if you've seen me. Not from above. No. My wife actually came into my room last night, huffing and puffing. I was like, what's up with you? She went, you've just pissed all over the seat and I've just sat in it. And I was like, I'm sorry, darling. Normal, right, normal?
Starting point is 00:02:54 That's horrific. I mean, I don't know what to do. I know I can't help me Do you know what I do? I go It was Roman Blame on the kids Yeah Yeah she's not happy
Starting point is 00:03:05 So you should never She never be in the toilet in front of you No I was gonna say she has been to the toilet Yeah But I've just never seen her Actually sat on the toilet Having a poo
Starting point is 00:03:14 Right I mean we thought about this I actually don't think we have You take the bed What? Are you actually kidding You've never seen me I've never seen you
Starting point is 00:03:20 No because Because Right No because Right okay I don't want to just talk about shit all day Right But as a woman...
Starting point is 00:03:28 I'll change a habit of a lifetime. As a woman, we sit down for the Lou anyway. And sometimes, you guys don't sit down all the time. So when you sit down, that's when everything starts to move. So I'll say it to you, I'll leave the door open or whatever, if you're getting ready, and I'll just have a wee. But then... I get a look.
Starting point is 00:03:48 She goes, she goes, it's just a wee, it comes. And then she looks at her as... Oh, no. I'll shut the door. Yeah, because I don't... Listen, I think some things have got to be. I don't want to watch his condition. But I did try the sitting down and ween.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Oh yeah. Because I wanted to help out because I don't know what it is. I feel like my aim isn't the best aim in the world. I always do tend to piss on the seat. So I thought right, I'm going to sit down and have a wee instead. I know a lot of men who do it. Well, the problem is...
Starting point is 00:04:12 Tom Fletcher is a big advocate of the sitting down for the week. Sitting down and we? Well, the problem is that I've got is, when I sit down and we, it tends to turn into a number two. See? Yeah. See? This is the thing. This is the thing.
Starting point is 00:04:21 I love the way this podcast is going by. This is we've got a strong start, guys. All of the content is fecal beast. If you want more of this, listen to the Thomas Bros. Yeah. We talk about shit. Look, how have you been, man? We haven't seen you on our TV show.
Starting point is 00:04:37 God, it feels like years ago now. Must have been 2022 or something. Is that how long ago it was? Yeah. Got to be three or four years ago easily. Riff was just one when we started it, wasn't he? Yeah. Were you guys in the first or second series?
Starting point is 00:04:49 I can't remember. I don't know, but we said it previously before it started. High watermark, in my opinion. That show, genuinely, did put us on the map like because of that show because we went on to that show like it was the producers of 99 to beat that watched that show and we're like let's get the Thomas brother's him for an audition and then because of that we ended up doing you know 99 to be together which was incredible but and you see the clips as well
Starting point is 00:05:12 going around yeah yeah yeah we got to be it's my dad yeah he went everywhere everyone always talks about that we have the best fun it's a great concept you guys made happen you brought the best time yeah You guys were meant, like our fan base really loved you guys. What I do want to talk about is the incredible transformation of this young man here, on my right here. And you've already been taught on this moment? I've been obsessed, that's a muzzy.
Starting point is 00:05:36 I saw a four of them getting out. You went on some kind of retreat or something with, you were doing a thing? Yeah, so Scott's got like a retreat that he does. Yeah? And yeah, basically just gets all the lads together. We all go in this big retreat and we do like cold water exercise and stuff like that. It was amazing. I saw a video of you climbing out.
Starting point is 00:05:55 of a cold plunge. Yeah, and I had to go and get the morning after pill. I was immediately pregnant when I saw it. No, you know what it was?
Starting point is 00:06:04 No, but at the beginning of the year, I said to myself that I really wanted to get in shape for the first time in my life. I really wanted to,
Starting point is 00:06:11 you know, set a goal and work towards it and really lock in and I put on my vision board. I don't normally do vision boards but our Scott is a huge advocate of vision boards.
Starting point is 00:06:20 All of that. The secret. Have you read the secret? Yeah, yeah. You know what? I'm going to give it a go and I did it. And I said,
Starting point is 00:06:25 I want to be on the front cover of a fitness magazine. And that was my goal. And it just so happened. It's mental, you know, four or five months later, I was on the front cover of men's fitness. So men's fitness, yeah. Yeah, so I was absolutely buzzing with it. The problem that I've got now is all the way it's come back on.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Got you. Because people don't talk about how hard, well, how easy it is after you finish to go back to your old ways, especially if you're not on track all the time. But we're getting back into the swing of things. And I'm, you know what, for me, I'm just happy that I set a goal and I stuck to it and I did it.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Good for you. Because you had all your health kind of issues. What was all that? So basically, I struggle with serratic arthritis. Yeah. And have done for about, well, for the past five years now. And it's only recently, I think in the last year or so, that I finally found a medication that worked,
Starting point is 00:07:14 which are my biologic injections, literally changed my life overnight. An injection? Yeah, it's an injection. So I have it once every two weeks. The side effects are here in the, there. They're not too bad as the previous drugs, but it's just changed my life.
Starting point is 00:07:29 I feel like I can move again and, you know, and I think because I found finally a medication that works for me, and that's when I wanted to get back in the gym and, you know, do my transformation. Good for you. Yeah, so it's been a long journey, but we're on the side of it. Again, I've had a hell of a transformation. Thank you, man.
Starting point is 00:07:44 Brian, what, you've been up with your fat, fat, con. Because we need to have gone so health, like, conscious all the time. Everything's going to go in the gym. I'm like, I'm just going to go on the piss. Yeah, he's got the other way. Ryan's always got a red wine. I respect you both. I'm not doing this.
Starting point is 00:08:02 It's all about balance. All about balance, right. I'm not having all three of us talking about manifesting and, you know, going to the gym and like, doing journals and shit. I'm just like, I just want to do a podcast about fucking getting on the piss. Yeah. Right now he says, can we not just get pissed on the podcast? Yeah, like they just, they both go at each other a little bit.
Starting point is 00:08:20 I think, fucking I like it up. Yeah, Scott's been rubbing off on me, aren't he? Yeah, he has me. Yeah, he has a bit. He's been rubbing off on me. Rime and he's gone. Yeah, right. Like, hi guys.
Starting point is 00:08:29 I think you could quite easily go down that whole route. Yeah. Which route? The fitness, health and all that. Both. Both. I'm fully on the piss head. I could 100% go down that.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Yeah, I've got the cold plunge. I've got the soul. Yeah, but I'm like, come on, no. And then she'd be like wine in the night. And I'll be like, mm-hmm. Yeah. The cold plunge would have, she like,
Starting point is 00:08:48 all the ballads. I think I like trying to have a good balance, but I literally could be, I could be the guy who, I mean, I have four days without, like, all like drinking, I'm like, oh. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:57 And then you want to go out and piss and celebrate. That's the problem. That is the problem. But I think I could. The right nudge in the right direction of, come on, Chris, just cold plunge everybody and do this, do that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:07 Yeah, I get quite obsessed with stuff. Everyone who listens to the podcast, I'll know, you know, it was my bike, and then it was jiu-jitsu. Now it's golf. I'm banging to golf. Really? Like an illness.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Yeah, but I do that. I go through phases, though. Yeah. Is ADHD, though, is that ADHD? I think it might be, yeah. Got to be. Tism. Everything.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Tism. I get into everything. Like golf, I mean, 110% now. I'm going on tour. I've got the golf clubs in the bag, like in the car.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Like, I'm on. The tour is essentially just a golf trip with some gigs on a night. That's all this happens to be at the minute. But golf's like four and a half hours long,
Starting point is 00:09:41 isn't it? Yeah. So how do you get away with that? If I went to the miss, I'm going off four and a half hours. How does that work in your house? Why being like this? I know.
Starting point is 00:09:51 I just want to know. Ryan's thrown him under the busy. No, it's four and a half hours if you're shite. I don't know. Both of our kids are at school now. Yeah, so it's kind of like when we've got not much of time. I don't have... You don't go to the weekends then, do you?
Starting point is 00:10:05 I haven't got the audacity to say I'm going on a Sunday morning or Saturday morning. I wouldn't do. No. I wouldn't day. But I was saying that day, all my hobbies, they're getting longer and longer. I used to go for like 45 minute bike rides. Then I was going to jihitsu for like two hours. Now I go to golf for like three and a bit hours. I'm not to take up like five-day cricket test matches.
Starting point is 00:10:23 What is it? cricket now. Hey? No, no, I'm saying that. What's longer? What's possibly longer? 10 years time, you're like, Chris, what do you do for a hobby?
Starting point is 00:10:31 I just fucking seal the Atlantic. Twice a week. I love it. It's mad one who should have kids now, though. Even going to the gym, I'm like, can I go to the gym? Yeah. Or can I go for a game of paddle?
Starting point is 00:10:44 I'm like, when's my life got to the point where I've got to ask permission for things I don't really want to do? Yeah, yeah. I'm going to the gym. I don't really want to go to the gym. Yeah. But I'm having to ask.
Starting point is 00:10:53 It's not like I'm going, oh do you mind if I go on the piss I'm going to do something that I'm not really looking forward to doing but I've got to have permission to go it's crazy it's crazy yeah it's because you've got to run this house I mean how many kids you got I've got three that I know about and you've got two
Starting point is 00:11:09 yeah it's that thing of it's just take up so much time and it's brilliant but it is it's like if you're not a total asshole of a man you do have to say your partner look is it okay if I do this or you all right with them for a little while and vice versa we I think we share it quite well oh oh here he is oh yeah the late comer oh oh yeah oh oh sorry well done hello unbelievable this is like the um what's the holiday experience all again
Starting point is 00:11:41 wouldn't it yeah yeah yeah yeah no show honestly where have you been oh i'm so sorry it's been it's been worth it though where you've been i've just i'm about to publish my first book and so I've just been at the publishers now and it was like a big moment seeing my cover for the first time apparently he works on your book as well right one of the girls who was there
Starting point is 00:12:03 which one? Oh my name to remember which book Oh stop it! Which fruit was had of you? Yeah That was amazing I'm so sorry guys
Starting point is 00:12:15 No I don't have to me It's so funny You were so close Because you did see he'd be fucking journaling But he's actually just looking at a book Yeah, pretty much. But I'm so sorry, guys. Thanks for coming, Scott.
Starting point is 00:12:27 It's not starting until I get here, me. Babadoo, Babadoo, Babadoo, Babadu, Babi-Badoo-Bah. Reaching your audience on Spotify with display ads is easy. Use your existing creative and launch your first campaign in minutes with Spotify Ads Manager. Babadu, babadoo, babadoo, babadoo. What's the book? I'm not going to give too much weight right now.
Starting point is 00:12:49 I'm not going to talk about it. Not really not fully yet. But basically, it's all like the toolkit that. helped me get to where I am now from being an absolute lunatic, basically like these two, to now being a normal human being. No, to being, no, the fact, we're not normal. No, yeah, why are we not normal? No, it's all about becoming your true self, because for me, like, my biggest superpower is being my authentic self, and I never realised that all my life I was trying to be like somebody else. And so this book is all about figuring out what's blocking you. And that's all I'm going to give you for now.
Starting point is 00:13:15 I like that, you know? It's lovely. Are you still journaling? I am still journaling. Nice. A lot. We're, right. Oh no, we'll let you in a secret. Go on. We're jealous of your life. Oh, really? I watched you do a video and see it up at five o'clock in journal
Starting point is 00:13:28 and then do all these different things and I went, you see the fucking time this prick's got on his hands? Yes. I hate him. Rosie, I hate him. Look at how much time this man has.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Hey, it's good though. You're looking like you've got a good one. You're looking like fresh. Oh, you're the second person who said this today. Yeah, what's going on? What's going on? News flash lads. Joe Wick said I looked like I was in good shape this morning.
Starting point is 00:13:48 What's the magic? What you've been up to? what you've been doing? Just like, just realising I'm 40 and realizing, guess what, mate, you're gonna have to start putting a bit of fucking effort in otherwise your kids are gonna have kids and you're not gonna be to lift the bastards up.
Starting point is 00:14:00 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You look after yourself. Yeah, that's what I'm seeing, so I look after myself, bit of jihitsu, get a gym, all right. I think the glow up is because you really didn't you still look after yourself. No. Like, didn't eat well, didn't, like,
Starting point is 00:14:14 I think I introduced vegetables to your life. Yeah, yeah, I was not a vegetable guy. No. No. And skin care? Yeah, yeah, but not like mental. You look like you've had like a sober. I always quite like the sober glow up.
Starting point is 00:14:25 It looks like, are you drinking less? Oh my God, we didn't drink last week for four days. Yeah. Wow. Wow. For us, we were literally like, we are changed people. So we like, we're just like Scott. In all honesty, no, this is, in all honesty.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Four days? You look better for it. Yeah, but before that, we'd done about six years on the bell because we're at weddings and all kinds of stuff. But we've got a wine guy in this place in Mayfair called Hedonism Wines. He's called James. He's a legend. Love you. Love you guys.
Starting point is 00:14:58 Love you, James. And he sends us wine. I order wine off him and he sends it up. And we've been drinking a lot less in the house and he genuinely got in touch and asked if I was all right. It's just everything okay. I just haven't heard from you. Oh, right.
Starting point is 00:15:12 I just haven't drank. I just haven't been drinking that much. We'll drink a lot less in the house. We went through a stage. I love drinking. Absolutely caning it in the house. Not in a bad way. So what you've told,
Starting point is 00:15:22 our's drinking isn't like going out, getting pissed me. I feel like everyone's straight, explain himself too. Stop, judge us. He had his finger and he's popular, but it was wagging. We'll be a chapter in his boot going, don't be like the Ramsey.
Starting point is 00:15:36 No, we just love sitting in the house, watching the telly. Having a glass of wine. Oh really? Is that you're going to a glass of wine then? Glass of wine, yeah. I'm playing golf with the lads. It's a, like, I've got that Jeremy,
Starting point is 00:15:48 I've got Jeremy Clarkson's hawkestone on one of them beer machines. Nice. Yeah, I had that hawkestone, that lager. No, no, no, no. Oh, God, no, don't. He wears the merch, man. I wear the merch. He wears the merch.
Starting point is 00:15:59 We never drank, like, at home on our own, like, just watching TV and you know. That's the only place that I really do drink now is at home. Oh, really? Just the odd one. Like, literally the odd one. Cutting my mouth, my wife, and everyone always says, you know, I want to stop drinking.
Starting point is 00:16:11 And, and everyone always, and Scott, especially, who always says, you know, you need to stop going to the places where you have a drink. I'm like, well, I fucking drink at home. I've got the round out to go. My kitchen island. Yeah, but you were young Manchester party boys. You were on the telly, you want young lads.
Starting point is 00:16:27 It was, you know, it must have been. We were living a fucking dream. Yeah, man. We were Jason Grimshaw's brother. Yeah, I know you guys. We were 15 years old in all the best clubs in Manchester. It was the dream. It started off as the dream.
Starting point is 00:16:41 But for me, when I just, I just couldn't stop. I took it too far. But yeah, we lived like fucking rock stars. Yeah. But honestly, well done. I'm recognising it. People say to me, oh, you just grew up. I said, listen, there's a lot of people now
Starting point is 00:16:55 who've not managed to break out the cycle. Because just the cycles all that people know. So the fact that you guys have got a grip on it, it sounds deaf, like, it's rare. We know when we've done. You know, some people just, it's not for everyone. It's not a long-term thing that you can keep doing. It'll affect everyone differently.
Starting point is 00:17:10 Yeah. And also, I feel like it's time as well. You only realize when you get older and you look at all the, yes, you had fun, but all the years that you wasted as well, all the days that you were hung over, especially when you've got kids and family.
Starting point is 00:17:23 It's nothing worse than being hung over with the kids. You wouldn't wish it on your worst enemy. Ryan's gone so quiet. Ryan's like, this is terrible. Just honestly being hung up. If I know I've got the kids the next day, especially if I've got them on my own, I'll fucking call it a night.
Starting point is 00:17:38 But I am a couple of beers in a curry. Right, okay. I'm the boring one. I'm the boring one where the rest of them have we got, let's go a club and I'm going, I'm fucking chicken mad at it. Ryan's the guy that puts his fault. this is the best stories ever said, right?
Starting point is 00:17:50 This fucking done me, right? Right, no, when I say, right, this is when I was single on my own, I say, I just love being off my phone, I put my phone away, yeah, right, and goes, I'm the same. I got to my beefer, and I put my phone in the safe,
Starting point is 00:18:00 and I didn't know, I didn't look at it for two days, I went, you've got a wife and kids. No, what we are, there's context of this story, right? So, what we understand do, and as the time's going on, people were losing the phones.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Right. And, like, five people lost the phones. And I was like, I can't afford to lose this phone, so I put it in the safe for 24 hours. And then I was like, I can't pay for anything here. So I was like, I was asking people to go, will you go to the bathroom?
Starting point is 00:18:27 I felt like a bit of a scrounge asking people to get me a drink all the time. So I had to start bringing it out, but I was just always like scared about it. Do you know what it is though? I feel like every time Ryan goes away, Lucy calls him. As soon as he's like his feet have touched the like
Starting point is 00:18:40 Lucy, he'll get a call off Lucy going, Roman's been rushing to hospital. Yeah. Oh, every time. It's like, it's the same thing. every time, isn't it? And he's not even hospital. Yeah. She just doesn't want him to have a good time.
Starting point is 00:18:54 Oh no. You fucking ruined my game of golf yesterday. Oh, really? She's ruined my show me. Do you know what I was just about to say? I was just about to say, we don't ring each other. When we're away, we very, very, really, there might be, when we go to bed, it might be like night.
Starting point is 00:19:09 Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I mean? But I'm not saying, we're quite good. Yeah, we don't ring, because I'm just like, I don't need to know. And I don't want to ring you. and I'm having a really good time with my mate. No, do you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:19:20 If something happens with the kids, you'll ring us, you know where I'm staying, blah-de-blah, just if I'm busy. Well, that's really, because my missis really values a good morning text, like, it's so important to her. And you know, I like to journal and if I not touch my phone to like 10 in the morning. So that causes a few little problems
Starting point is 00:19:38 because she wants the good night text in a morning one. So I think that's interesting you guys don't, no, I've had to catch up with it, but. Yeah. But, well, we've been married for like 12 years as well. Like back in the day, I would want a good morning text. I would want a good night text. We used to speak all the time.
Starting point is 00:19:53 But now... Even if I was in the house, you just wants a morning coffee and make the fuck off out the room. How would I ruin your golf? Oh, so, lads, playing golf yesterday. So I'm on the first part of five of the course. One of the most difficult holes on the course.
Starting point is 00:20:04 I'm on my way down. I stuck me shot and then I'm walking up a hill and she phoned us. If you checked all these messages, so we get, from the social media team and stuff, we get the clips to send out for the podcast. Oh, right. A thing of clips.
Starting point is 00:20:15 So we get four or five clips sent and we've got to okay them and decide which one's going out. Yeah. It worked. I told the lad, the lads were laughing at what you said actually. So I was like, I'm walking on the hill.
Starting point is 00:20:24 She went, what's about with you? I'm just on the golf course. What's wrong? Why are you talking? I went, I'm walking up a fucking hill. I've just duffed me shot. I'm pissed off.
Starting point is 00:20:31 I was like, what is it? She went, well, we've got all these texts and we've got to watch the videos. I went, but I'm playing golf? And she went, oh, what are you? A professional golfer? Or is this a hobby?
Starting point is 00:20:41 And you can just check your fucking phone for once. I went, I ring you back. But it's a thing though, my mate, like I try and get in touch with my mate and he's always playing golf. Apparently, you don't pick up your phone when you're playing golf. Yeah, well, you don't,
Starting point is 00:20:53 because you fucking end up doing a nine on a par five. I was devastated. I was at work doing like a different job. Yeah. And you were just playing golf. Yeah. You should have actually... Okay, should we leave?
Starting point is 00:21:05 So sometimes this happens at that. Sometimes the guest just has to sit while there's a dump day. I got paid yesterday. You don't know. I don't know. Rory Macorora. Someone may see me one.
Starting point is 00:21:16 Wait a second. I've got a question actually. Yeah. Like, does it work working with your partner? Does it look like you're talking? No. No. Well, come on.
Starting point is 00:21:26 Oh, dude's going to say it. Because my miss is like amazing at social media and I for now. And we've just got together in the first year of our relationship. I'm like, oh, I really want to work with her. But then I've heard like horror stories as well. Yeah. So I just wanted to ask you guys like.
Starting point is 00:21:42 What's it like? In all honesty, jokes aside, I think we've fucking nailed it to be fair. Yeah. But I just, again, I don't want to get too soppy in front of ears because there's... No, go on, I like... We love soppy. Come on.
Starting point is 00:21:53 I just feel like... I feel like we were meant to be together. Yeah. And I feel like we'd get on so well. And I just... I said it to you last night, remember? And I just think... I don't know.
Starting point is 00:22:05 We can laugh stuff off and we're both quite... We've got the chops of being like live season performers. She's done loads of live stuff back the day. I've obviously... on stand-up. So when it comes to doing this together, we can easily bounce off each other. It wasn't, like, I've done loads of stuff with other comics and other people, and it wasn't until
Starting point is 00:22:20 we started doing stuff together, especially the live shows where it's like, oh, fucking hell, she's fully got my back here. Well, you guys, you'll have that as well. Yeah, forget all the laughy stuff. Is someone having your back? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Do you know what a sense to when you're on stage? What do you mean? In a sense of she'll never, like, trample
Starting point is 00:22:37 on anything I'm saying. She'll never try and make herself look funnier than me. And I'll never do that to her we're like we're each other's like biggest cheerleader and I think that's the point I'm getting at around the houses here. If you can get on and work together but then as long as you properly you want the other one
Starting point is 00:22:52 I always want her to do better than me and she always wants me to do better than her. That's what I'm like that. Go on. Do you know what I mean? Well I was talking more about like proximity like if you're with each other that much and then you get home and then when you're at home you're still talking about work and then for now. So you've got, so we learned
Starting point is 00:23:09 probably about three or four years into it. we were like, we cannot talk about work in the house. Okay. So we don't, we just don't like, we used to like sit around the kitchen table. I'd be making dinner, we'd be talking about work. And then it would just turn in.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Come on first thing on a morning as well. We sit there's a morning, emails. So this email from yesterday and he'd be like, no. So sometimes like the guys who are now at the way. Sometimes in light bulb moments that come to you while you're doing the team, you think, I've got to get this off.
Starting point is 00:23:34 We've got it with our team and I think, me and Adam are really bad at this. Like, we'll have a lightball moment at like 10 o'clock at night. And we'll start texting the team. And we're like, this isn't a working time now. But it's like, that's when the magic comes sometimes.
Starting point is 00:23:46 You're going to note it down and then bring it up later. But that's what we do. Like I say, the team sometimes get annoyed because they're not annoyed, but they're like, why are you taking so long to respond to this? And they're asking, even something like travel logistics, we can't sit and on a morning and having coffee and talk about what's the travel logistics for next week for the gym.
Starting point is 00:24:03 It's a fucking nightmare. So you've just got to wait until we're in the studio or in an office and we'll sit and we'll get it all out then. Didn't we sit and go through a diaries together at a day? took four fucking days to do it. Because it was like, how can we, it was the summer holidays. How can we sit and go through their day?
Starting point is 00:24:16 I know this is really boring to people, but that's, that, you've just got, it's not got to be the whole time. There's got to be almost roles and sections. It might work, but it might not work. Like, I think we've just hit lucky where it does work. And I really like working with you. Oh, I wish I could say the same about these two.
Starting point is 00:24:32 No, but again, like this, even doing this podcast with these two, like, I don't know what it is for you. I probably, it's the same thing, but it's definitely brought us closer together. We know each other inside and out more so than we ever have done. Yeah. That's the best thing that we've, we've, we've, the conversations we have, we would never use love them.
Starting point is 00:24:49 Oh really? Oh, no, no, not, conversations. It's like therapy. Yeah. And you've got no phones, so you're not on your phones. Yeah. A couple of hours, we're just finding out things about each other
Starting point is 00:24:59 that we wouldn't really go as far as. And it's actually, yeah, it's, yeah. I mean, we've had a few blow ups though. Oh yeah, yeah. Oh, it's fucking brilliant. After the podcast. It was like, how dare you fucking say that.
Starting point is 00:25:13 Right, so let me tell you the story. So, we've only had one, one big blow. And it wasn't involving me, so that's why I'm fucking. Yeah, normally the middleman, Scott. Yeah. Oh, okay, is that the dying? So as brothers, we all know each other's buttons now, which I think is like an art form, like,
Starting point is 00:25:27 it's only the last few years. It took a wild, in it. It took us, like, 35 years where we go, right, oh, oh, right, I've gone a little bit too far, wind it back. So we're like, figure each other's buttons out. But anyway, we did a podcast. What was it over now?
Starting point is 00:25:41 months ago and anyway the podcast was all right right so we but then something must have got triggered between these two under the radar and then they started just started off dead like chilled they was talking after the podcast then it just got a little bit like boom boom boom boom bum bear in mind the whole team's watching yeah the team's there and it's all on camera it's all camera but the best thing is after the big argument i've walked out adam's gone did you get that guys right and then while i'm going when i'm trying to get out of adams and adam's got these gates you can't get out so i'm thinking i can't get out and i've got to ring up to ask for the cold I'm trying to press this cold
Starting point is 00:26:12 I can't get out so then I go I'm going to have to climb over as I climb over the back leg doesn't completely get over so I've just landed on the car
Starting point is 00:26:21 opposite on the other side of the gate shut the fuck on and they've got cameras looking in it and going they've got all this and Caroline's going something happened there did it
Starting point is 00:26:29 and I'm going I'm going on I'm driving home and I've got my shoulders in agony and Adam's ringing me because I'm one of those that like to squash it
Starting point is 00:26:37 there and then same do I mean we're having an argument and especially I need time to calm down. I'm like, I'll sit on it for a day.
Starting point is 00:26:44 I need time. Because you're not going to get the best reaction out of the hill. Exactly. I need to make you. Do you want to get the same thing you just had one of left? Or do you want to just let me calm down and then I'd come back to you and have to digest it all and go.
Starting point is 00:26:54 Straight away and all day I was calling you on a... Oh, it's annoying me even more. Come on, we'll skip the end here. Well, yeah, so basically it was a massive... It was just a massive blow up. I've not seen this in years, right? So it's just weird, but it's just more the fact that the team was there.
Starting point is 00:27:08 And all the team and it was so polite, it was right. yeah and then I'm like guys you just want to walk outside so anyway he erupted and he saw out and then next ring
Starting point is 00:27:16 Ryan gets off and then this is what we're like like the next minute Adam's like crying to me like obviously like he's gutted because he's upset his brother
Starting point is 00:27:22 and we don't we don't like it we just hate upset each other you know it your whole life yeah you know that if I have a argument
Starting point is 00:27:29 with Scott or Adam I go to sleep like with the worst like a break up yeah yeah yeah do I mean that's how it feels I can't do it
Starting point is 00:27:37 I need to be when we've had an argument I need to know that we are still best friends and still in love before I go to bed. Otherwise, this is a fucking night I'm soft as shit, I'm terrible to argue with, I just want it to be over. It's actually, like, I don't
Starting point is 00:27:49 like arguing with it. It's like arguing with a puppy, like... It's really bad, isn't it? It's just, like, doesn't fight back. I'm like, fight back. So I look like such a bitch. Yeah, yeah. That's fine. Babadoo, babadoo, babadoo, babadoo, babadoo, babadoo, babadoo, babadoo, babadoo, babadu, babadu, ba. Right, you guys have got a question or, a story or something.
Starting point is 00:28:09 Okay. Oh, is it also? Split up, okay. Have we all got it? We've all got a little bit of it. Okay. Dear Chris and Rosie, please keep me anonymous. A while back, I was a coach tour guide,
Starting point is 00:28:20 spending weeks away across Europe. Prior to this, my best mate and I started a podcast where we talked quite frankly about various topics. I had just returned from a 36-day trip, my longest time away from my girlfriend since we've become serious, so naturally, we were very happy to be reunited. That evening, things progressed as you might, expect. It was a hot summer night
Starting point is 00:28:43 so the windows were open and just as we were approaching the climatic moment a very drunk man wandered past our second floor window cheerfully singing an incredibly out of tuned song.
Starting point is 00:28:58 Okay. I imagine this I imagine this put him off. Carry on right. This completely ruined our concentration every time we thought he'd finally disappeared. Another verse would begin. Eventually, he passed out of a shot and we managed to resume. Of course you did.
Starting point is 00:29:16 Thankfully, we still achieved a successful finish. Nice. Well done. Well done. Good to know. The next day I recorded my podcast with my mate. He asked how my return had gone and how things were going with my girlfriend. Naturally, I told him the entire story, right? In considerable detail. A week later, my girlfriend casually mentioned that she'd listened to that episode. This was unusual as she didn't normally listen to the podcast. She gave me the look and I immediately remembered what I'd said. I apologised profusely and tried to reassure her that our audience was tiny and mostly made up with strangers. Then she dropped the bombshell.
Starting point is 00:29:51 She'd only listened because my mum had told her about the episode. Yes, my mum had listened to the podcast, heard me discussing our sex life and apparently decided the appropriate response was to message my girlfriend and make sure she knew about it. Oh no. I mean, we've been in situations like that a few times. That's a nightmare for me. because he just loves talking about sex on the podcast. I mean, I don't love, it's just my life. Like, I don't, it's not my fucking life.
Starting point is 00:30:15 You like me, it's me full life. I saw this, I saw this clip. The clip was, because you and your missis, do you have sex all the time? Yeah. No, I wouldn't say we have sex all the time, but I like to talk about sex. My life on the podcast.
Starting point is 00:30:30 Sometimes what me and the missis are getting up to. I'm Adam's twin brother and I never knew until his podcast how kinky he was. Really? And now, I can't even look Caroline in the eyes. Because we love Caroline. Carly's like our sister. They're the worst ones.
Starting point is 00:30:44 Yeah, yeah, yeah. The sweet and innocent ones, the are the worst ones. Yes. Silent and deadly ones. But yeah, I do, I mean, Kaz does tell me a lot not to talk about the things that I've been talking about because, but she doesn't listen to the podcast.
Starting point is 00:30:54 So I just seem to think that what I say on the podcast, she's not going to listen to, she's not going to hear it. No, but now we've got this little trick now where you go, can you just, as I said to team, can you not put these in the clips going out on toast? However, there's other people that clip it up. Really? And then that's when she sees it
Starting point is 00:31:10 and then that's when I get a bollicking. Right. Because I can't, I sometimes just give a little bit too much information. Yeah, we're outrageous and my Mrs's mum listening to the podcast like an avid listener. Oh, see. But you have to forget about that.
Starting point is 00:31:22 Yeah. Because we, obviously, we've been doing it for years and I talk about like, having a wide on and everything, right? Oh my God, you don't. I do. Oh my God. That's, that words the idea of,
Starting point is 00:31:32 wow. Have you been the actual podcast? Yeah, yeah. What is a wide on? What's a wide-on? A female stiffy. A wide vagina. Is that a thing?
Starting point is 00:31:41 It's just a phrase. Does it happen? No, a wide-well. We've said some weird shit on our pockets, but wide-on's fuels it out. Wide-on. It's a Colocialism as well. I think it's a Northern thing. Get a wide-on.
Starting point is 00:31:52 Got a wide-on. So, right. I can't believe it. A girl can say it though. We couldn't say that. You know when you were younger? Yeah. Even now.
Starting point is 00:32:00 Even now, if someone's getting, if you're like, I don't know, if you're like, you're banging about a new watch. And you're like, oh, go and have a fucking wank about your watch, will you? Girls would say, you know, go and have a wide on, will it? Like, oh, you're getting a wide on about him. It would be like, oh, you're getting turned on. Right, okay. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:14 And what I'm trying to get to the bottom of is, does it, does this actually happen? I think the drainers do open when you're sexually around. Really? Yeah. Right, okay, that's interesting. So, so, so you're going to go. So you're a little dirt bag. I'm not a dirt bag.
Starting point is 00:32:29 I just like to make love, yeah. No, I like to make love with my wife. I like to make love. I like to make love, yeah. It is a problem, that, because I've actually said to lose. she's mum, please do not watch the podcast. Yeah, yeah. Because I don't even like swear in front of her. Like, she's like
Starting point is 00:32:43 the queen. Like, there's a certain way you act around it. So if she saw a podcast, it would really see a different side of me and my family. And I don't want her to have that on her. It's funny though, because when we started a podcast, I was single. I need to, after every episode would be like, whoa, whoa, I don't know if we can put
Starting point is 00:33:00 this in, we can't put like, you know, the misses. And now I've got a missis. And now I'll be on a little dog walk with her. And she'll mention, oh, I saw a clip. And I'm like, and I'm like, what, what clip was it? And now I'm starting to feel what they feel like, because nothing's safe basically. Yeah, no, no, no podcast.
Starting point is 00:33:15 And you're so comfortable with each other. Yeah, but. And you forget who's listening. Yeah, I'm starting to feel the pressure now that I've got to be a bit careful about what I say. Yeah. I won't have the door before yesterday, morning, for you did a podcast and Lucy said to me,
Starting point is 00:33:27 can you just not talk about me of the podcast today? Oh. I've got nothing else to talk about me. That's it. You're my life. Yeah. It's like when things happen in life now, and Kaz always says to me,
Starting point is 00:33:37 don't talk about this. the podcast. But it's just hard not to because it's like, I'm like getting my notes out of it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This would be a great clip. That's a good question.
Starting point is 00:33:45 Do you two sleep in the same room? Currently no. Currently no. Wow. Well, that's the, that's what Ryan talks about. I'm with my boyfriend. Rief, he's five.
Starting point is 00:33:56 Literally. Literally. Like, Rave calls her bed, his bed. It's our room and I'm like, really like, no, we're going to sort it out. We miss out. I really miss. sharing a bed every night.
Starting point is 00:34:09 We're going to, we need to get tired. Well, apparently's a big thing, because Ryan talks about in a podcast and it got played on this morning and was it or something. It's a big topic of conversation. Like, so many people. I think it is healthy.
Starting point is 00:34:20 Oh my God. I do think it's healthy. Like, for me, sharing a bed is for one thing only. Yeah. Cuddles. He goes to bed. I can have a little fart.
Starting point is 00:34:30 I have a little, you know. Oh, so do you do it through choice? Yeah, we do it through choice. Yeah, okay. The kids sleep in their own rooms. Right. Well, now they think you went. Oh.
Starting point is 00:34:36 I'm not like Camvin Diaz does it No, do you know what? That's what I said anyway. Gwyneth Palture does it. I am, I can fully get on board with it. He snores. Gwyneth Paltrow also once sold
Starting point is 00:34:51 candle that smelled like a vagina but carry on. No, she said in the gym. She did. No, I don't know what he smells like? Yeah, I'm a comedian. Oh! So, no, it was called that.
Starting point is 00:35:02 It was called the... Really? Yeah, it was that. Yeah. Okay, I can understand that. Yeah, yeah. Listen, I think however anyone wants to live their life and whatever works for their relationship, that's them.
Starting point is 00:35:14 People think we're mental because we do this together and they're like, how do you do that? And I'm like, well, we find it quite healthy and it's fine. And my little boy currently gets terrified sleeping in his own room, so I'm like, well, sleep with me. We've got the rest of our lives to sleep together. And exactly, when our children are like 18 and 20, they're not going to want to climb into bed with mum and dad,
Starting point is 00:35:33 you know? And I'm not going to want them to do. gonna be fucking weird. But they want to be now for a little cuddle, why the hell are you? I mean, don't get me wrong. I don't know if it is working because we're not getting on that well anyway.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Get back in the bed. Maybe that's where you're going wrong. No, but we've been on a holiday and we've had to stay in the same bedroom and it's like, and then I've creaked in, I'm saying this yesterday, I've creeped into the main, her bedroom. There it is.
Starting point is 00:35:55 I've creaked in there and I said to, well, I got in there. I felt awkward. And I went, um, thanks for letting me, uh, come in your bedroom. Well, I didn't say, you can come in.
Starting point is 00:36:05 and I was like, well, okay, so I just got the pillow, put it between, she has a pillow, like three pillows. I know the ones there, one's there everywhere, and I'm like, I'm out anyway. I know when all those pillars start surrounding, I'm out. I'm getting nothing that night. Pillow piss. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Listen, we'll have to go. Thank you guys. But I just, I wanted to say, it's so lovely having you guys back on. I follow your online on Instagram and I just genuinely think what you're doing is amazing. I think your families, when you get the, like the kids in and I think it's so lush.
Starting point is 00:36:34 And I just think you're, are really, really sweet and yeah, I just want you to know, because I follow you's online and I just, I think the kids are amazing. Yeah, I love that. All the stuff they do and it's just lush. Yeah. From us boys as well, like, this is a dream for us being with you guys on here because we are massive fans

So we've started at home that's real, fresh and organic. We look up to you guys very much in this game. Thank you for having us online. Thank you. I've got a wide on.
Starting point is 00:37:08 I'll end it on that now. I can't be sentimental, I have to ruin it. We're going to. Bye on. Cheers, guys. Cheers, guys.
