Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello, and welcome back to Should I Delete That? I'm Em Clarkson. And I'm Alex Light as far as eager to go. Hi! We've been stood up. We've been stood up. We've been stood up. We've been stood up.
Starting point is 00:00:20 Our guest was supposed to arrive 40 minutes ago. And there is still no sign of our guest nor any communication with our guests. So we're guessing. we've been set up. And actually this fits in quite well because yesterday I shared a meme that I saw Oh, why's it gone? I shared a meme on the internet
Starting point is 00:00:37 And basically on the internet, I hate myself. The internet shared a meme That basically said like World Wide Web What does it mean? Anyway, it was basically like Why must we all be on our own journeys? Like wouldn't it be nicer if we were in groups of like two or three?
Starting point is 00:00:52 I loved that. I really enjoyed that. I agree. And I do feel like that for our being stood up. It's like it's safe. It's nicer that we're all together, me, you and X, like, oh, they didn't come for any of us. It hurts less. It takes the sting out.
Starting point is 00:01:04 If we were sitting here on our todds. I know. I do keep checking my phone. Can you tell? Because I'm like, is she going to email? She's not coming. Is she stuck in the tube? Maybe she's stuck in the tube.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Yeah. You know, sometimes people get stuck like in the, no, not like on a train, on the tube train. She's us forever in the tube. No, she's just, she just hates us. She does. She hates us. Should we go home and spiral about it? Yeah, I'd like to.
Starting point is 00:01:28 I've had this viral for a while, actually. Have you not? No, I'm due one. Okay, well, that's perfect. I know what you're doing later. Perfect timing. In the meantime, hit me. You've been away for a while.
Starting point is 00:01:39 I have. And things have been happening. Go on. And we just need to chat. I've got my own. Is it just me? And I feel like it's been a minute since I've had one. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:46 Is it just me that cannot cope when people talk about their wedding invitations on Instagram like, oh, the invites are in the post, friends, keep your eyes peeled. Because the ones that. Yeah, inevitably people watching who aren't going to receive an invite. And they're going to be keeping their eyes peeled as per the instruction. Like, okay, I'm a friend. I'll keep my eyes peeled. Yeah. This sounds like you're talking from experience. Did this happen to you? Okay, of course. But also, no, I keep seeing people sharing like, I don't know. You know how I feel about the like the Passag nature of the internet scares me. It's like, I'm talking about you. Am I? Yes. And I feel like that is rife in wedding content. There's so much of this like when the plus one that you didn't want to invite can't make it anyway. Woo! Like, and people sharing like memes like that.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Seriously? Yeah. Oh my God. I don't know. I haven't seen that. That's very passive aggressive. There's so much of stuff like this that I keep seeing. And people were like, I saw somebody in the name being like, oh, I'm doing my wedding invitations.
Starting point is 00:02:55 I was like, oh, this is exciting that you're sharing this process. And then I was like, but it's also. so horrifying that you're sharing this process because... Did you get an invite? Well, obviously not. No, no, she's... I don't know this person, right? Okay, you weren't expecting one.
Starting point is 00:03:07 No, no, no, I don't know this person. Oh, you literally don't know them at all. Okay. No, no, no. Is it just a random person? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like, like an influence. Okay, fine.
Starting point is 00:03:16 I'm just like from random girl you've kind of just picked up on socials. That's when I met in the club in like 2012. No, it was just some... But then it got me thinking because I do see a lot of, lot and when it's like my friends getting married I'm like well that's okay I can join in this band to it I'm like there will be people watching this yeah like my sister for example was sitting next to a guy at dinner the other night and when he said goodbye he was like I see you on the dance front my wedding and she was like yeah ha ha ha and then was like I'm not invited I didn't say it
Starting point is 00:03:47 to him because he was just oh maybe she'll get one then and then the wedding's been and gone okay no no no no no she wasn't invited though because I'm thinking like I don't think there's anyone that doesn't invite me to that wedding no i always get an invite no but for my wedding i don't think there was anyone that wasn't invited that was expecting an invite do you know what i mean you'll never know oh never know that's a good point you'll never know i mean for me there's no way that there was anyone else expecting one i invited everyone i've ever met you had a big wedding yeah how many people don't want to find it okay um it was like over nearly it was loads a hundred it was great though it was brilliant
Starting point is 00:04:27 and I think it was probably the people pleaser in me that just kept inviting people because I was like I don't want anyone to feel like left out Dext, do you feel left out? Sorry, I can do it again if you like A post hummus, no not post hummus A post what? Postalmus
Starting point is 00:04:45 Post hummus That's if I were dead Say it again Postastumus Is it not post hummus? It's not post hummus Are you sure? Everyone can come to the wedding after
Starting point is 00:04:55 They've had a little cruditay. Are you sure it's not post hummus? Yes, post-hostrumbs. I thought it was post-thummus. Oh my God, I'm mortified. Why? What did it be post-hummus? He's doing something post-homous.
Starting point is 00:05:08 No, it is. Post-hostomous. Posthumous. Post-Umus. Oh, okay, okay. Oh, I've always thought it was pronounced post-hummus. It was awarded to him post-humusly. Hang on, hang on, hang on.
Starting point is 00:05:25 posthumous I don't think I was saying it right either though postomis what did I say post hummus so embarrassing postumous
Starting point is 00:05:39 the only context I've ever heard that word in is in very specific but in battles like if people are talking about like a medals being awarded posthumously which I'm now saying wrong
Starting point is 00:05:51 postum but it's super bad if it's like posthumous He was awarded this medal for bravery. Postalibus. I can't remember what we were saying. What about my wedding being done posthumously, which would just be a funeral.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Yeah, I didn't mean that. No. I meant like retrospectively. That's what I meant. Better word than post-thumously. We could do like a reunion special. I'm back up with the housewives. Talk to me.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Season six. Beverly Hills. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I started them with my last pregnancy I've picked them back up this time who's Brandy joined yet Brandy's gone We've done five seasons of Brandy
Starting point is 00:06:34 I don't know if she's coming back She's not popped up for six She went completely quacko In the last one It was hard to be on Brandy's side Did she break her leg last year No she broke her leg ages ago
Starting point is 00:06:45 Oh okay fine I can't remember She broke her leg in like season two Is she uh okay Is she friends with Kim Richards Was she friends with Kim Richards That was season five In season five and now she's gone That was actually horrible to what
Starting point is 00:06:54 I actually don't think she comes back Oh, no, she does, but a lot later. Because I spent a lot of time on Reddit forums. Because I, if you don't watch Real Housewives, fair enough. But something I'm fascinated in is the morality of that show, because one of the plot lines is about this woman called Kim Richards. And I think the show is actually kind of formed, kind of around her and her sister. And she's Paris Hilton's auntie, and so is Kyle, the other one.
Starting point is 00:07:18 But she's clearly an active addiction. Right. And throughout the seasons, she's like sober, not sober, sober, not sober. but season five particularly she's not sober clearly not sober but completely denying accusations that she's using
Starting point is 00:07:32 substances it's so messy so messy and it's like the morality of it they've made it the whole plot line I think we've talked about it before have we talked about it before in the first season was Taylor
Starting point is 00:07:43 of course we did talk about it because her husband killed himself and it's nuts after oh god I can't write it was domestic abuse right he was domestically abusing her Yeah, and it came out on the show. Yeah, again, was a plot line.
Starting point is 00:07:56 And subsequently, he killed himself. Kim Richards now, I don't know if she's like slipped back into her addiction or never left her, but she's now being placed on, currently she's on psychiatric hold. Bloody hell. Yeah, and like, I think the family are really obviously worried about her sobriety. But it was very clear that Kim was never okay. No, and it's horrible because she's got her kids, you know, like, in one of the episodes, she takes her kids to college and a daughter who's also called kids.
Starting point is 00:08:23 which is iconic, more women should do that. So her daughter is saying to her, please, like, be okay when I'm not there to look after you. And it's like, this is not reality TV content. This is horrible. But that's what it used to be like. It was the Wild West reality TV.
Starting point is 00:08:41 It's kind of still is to an extent, but I don't think it would be, I don't think as much would fly now. But have you seen then the dinner party where Lisa Rinnah drives to the dinner party with Kim? Yes. And then she makes the entire season about Kim sobriety or like of Solop Sobriety.
Starting point is 00:08:59 She's horrible. Lisa Rinna's horrible. I think she's vile after that. Oh, this is interesting because I was confused. I didn't know what to think of Lisa Rinne yet. No, I really despise her. She's just being horrible. How much of it is production?
Starting point is 00:09:10 I don't know. I'm very, I don't. She's gone on to continue to be very, very horrible. Well, she's doing it with Yolanda and her Munchausens in the next season. Yes, yes. That's interesting. Super interesting. Although I do think that Lisa Vanderpump has pulled the strings behind the scenes
Starting point is 00:09:22 behind the scenes on a lot of these things. I have no. See, people do not care. She's so manipulative. Sorry. People who do not listen to... I like Lisa Van the... I love her.
Starting point is 00:09:31 No, don't get me wrong. She's my favourite housewife of all time. I love her. But very manipulative. Minipulative. Okay, so that was a very boring segment for anyone that's never watched Real Housewives Beverly Hills.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Sorry, but also catch up. I'm so tragic. I just sit on Reddit. Also, a bit of an awkward for myself. Come on. I think I've told you this before. Go on. I'm in a phone contract with a man called
Starting point is 00:09:52 Gary, yeah, my parents worked together. We all got our phones when I was 12 through this one guy, Gary. Right. It's been 18 years. I still have my phone contract with Gary. Oh. I am being hugely overcharged. I do not like, I don't love the setup. I cannot leave. This is Stockone syndrome. I am in love with my captor. I can't go. You have to leave. People have been saying this for years. I'm not going. I know. One of the worst things about this situation is that because I got my phone when I was 12, there's a content lock on my phone. Stop it. Stop it. Have you had that on for 18 years? No. So when I work with brands like Cheeks or Love Honey or Begicated, I can't access their websites on my phone because I have a
Starting point is 00:10:50 child lock on my phone. You're joking me. a 30-year-old woman, 18 years later. Oh, my God. I always have to use Alex's phone to check anything like X-rated, like to check if my links work before I post them. Oh, my God. I have to use, I'm allowed to get grown-up apps. Like, I'm allowed to download the apps,
Starting point is 00:11:10 but I'm just not allowed it on Safari. And I haven't got it in. Well, it's like I can download the apps, but I can't follow the links, like when I'm working with the brands. But, like, I can't ring Gary and be like, hey, I want to watch some porn, Gary. Like, can you just take off? You know, I can't do that because I don't. But I say, why else would I want the child lock taken off if not to go on dodgy websites?
Starting point is 00:11:35 I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Right. Rewind a little bit. Okay. Gary has had 18 years of your business. 18 years, yeah. And he's taking you for a ride.
Starting point is 00:11:46 I think he can accept being dumped after 18 years. I genuinely don't know how to go about it. I don't know. I do. Get Gary's number. I've got Gary's number. I've got Gary's number. Then ring Gary up.
Starting point is 00:11:57 Then ring Gary up. I'm looking elsewhere. But then what? Then what? Alex will sort it out. Do I lose my mobile number? That's what I'm scared of. I'm scared.
Starting point is 00:12:06 No, you can't talk about mobile numbers. How? Gary could be spiteful. That's what I mean. Yeah, that's good point. It's a good point. I've been in a very long relationship in very long time. I was asking for my mom and dad's what mom and dad's for, you know?
Starting point is 00:12:18 This is not what my mom and dad are for. My mom and dad bring me. Arguably, I mean, 18 years on, they're probably like... They're still with Gary. Gary's got the whole family that chokehold. We're all still with Gary. No one can leave. We're stuck here now.
Starting point is 00:12:36 And we all have our own independent relationships with him now because the business is, they don't, you know, my parents aren't together anymore. They don't work together. That all crumbled. But Gary held on. How old is Gary? What are you waiting for him to die?
Starting point is 00:12:51 I'll wait till I'm a widow and then I can go again for the contract I don't know maybe like I only met him once and it was through a car window and I was really excited
Starting point is 00:13:01 I ran my mom I was like I've met Gary she's like no way no I've met Gary none of us had met him Gary's probably like just living the dream off of all of your
Starting point is 00:13:12 yeah I haven't even I bought this phone outright and I'm still in a contract it doesn't make any sense and no it's not good it's not good I ran out of data not that long ago.
Starting point is 00:13:22 I was like, what? And then I had to ring him and be like, I don't understand how this has happened. I paid so much money. You are the epitome of bury your head in the sun. And I love it. I enjoy it. Yeah, this has come up at various points in my life.
Starting point is 00:13:36 Various people have tried to get me to give up Gary. And I can see that that's not going to happen. I want it to happen so. Yeah, because I want what Alex has. I want the Vodafone app. Then do it. I know, that's all I want. I want to be able to like see my own data.
Starting point is 00:13:50 And I want to be able to be able to, able to get the new iPhone. I can guarantee you, Gary, was it not for your money? Gary would not offer you the same level of loyalty that you're offering him, okay? What? Yes. I'm so sorry to break it to you. I've been stood up once today. Why I'm doing this, Jimmy? I'm jacking on you. Jacking. That sounds nice verb. I'm being a jack on you. That doesn't sound great. That doesn't sound like you're aggressively unping me. Who knows? There's no video to this podcast. Alex, get off.
Starting point is 00:14:25 No, not like this again. I hate it when you do this. Sorry, I'm on heat. Oh, God. Okay, fine. Okay, M's homework for this week. Dump Gary. Gary's got to go.
Starting point is 00:14:38 I'll be sad. How is Alex not on top of this? He's like, how has he not got you to dump Gary? I'm texting him. Look, I've been with Gary for longer than I've been with Alex. He knows he can't just come in and just demand that I let Gary go. He was the second time into my time. I know it's really not good.
Starting point is 00:14:57 I also don't have a direct debit, you know. I have to pay every month. You're joking. I know. It's really stressful. You get an invoice every month for 18 years. Yeah. You're joking.
Starting point is 00:15:06 I know. I know. It's not great. I'd love a direct debit. That's what I want me out for. I just want the money to just, you know, just buy, like gone. And then here's all this stuff you can have to exchange. oh you just put a message in our group saying Alex Garry has to go
Starting point is 00:15:19 he's going to agree with you he'll know exactly what that is I know I've been trying this is something that my old management our old management used to say to me all the time did they yeah it became this like running thing Gary Gary's got to go I never let him go
Starting point is 00:15:36 can I just say it is now an hour since our guests were supposed to arrive. Still nothing. Zero communication. But it's actually incredibly rude. It's so rude. Are you getting...
Starting point is 00:15:53 Do you want to spiral? I'm getting mad. I think that's so rude. It's so rude. I would die. It's happened to us a few times. I actually think it's happened three times before. It's not a common thing for us to be stood up, actually.
Starting point is 00:16:07 I think this is the fourth time. Okay. Okay, fake, can you beat the names? Oh, more. Who? Did she stand? Do you remember? She was supposed to come in the morning.
Starting point is 00:16:22 She didn't come. Really? Yeah. That's for the second time. In that case, this could be our fifth stand-up. Yeah. How about that? Huh.
Starting point is 00:16:30 So rude. And you know, it's left a sour taste in my mouth of all these people who I love. Like, I still really enjoy their content. But I'm like, guys, my feelings got her. Yeah, especially the third person. I really enjoy her content because it's yummy. That's all we'll say. I still I'll hold out
Starting point is 00:16:44 I'll do it again I'll put myself It's been long enough That I've dropped the grudge But also look at me Like look at what I take from Gary Look at the toxic relationships I allow myself to live in
Starting point is 00:16:53 Of course I'm gonna be fine with it You'll let anything slide Anything Good to know Alex has just replied saying Tell me about it I've been telling him for years This is such a swizz
Starting point is 00:17:02 I love it when he says Swiss Swiss I'm like you sound like You're at a fair In the 1950s And you're wearing a bowler hat What a swizz. Okay. More on my list.
Starting point is 00:17:15 Okay. Now, topical. Apparently, Cardi B. Yeah. Cheated on her partner. Okay. Offset. When I read the headline to this story, I was very confused.
Starting point is 00:17:28 Exactly. He's called Offset. Oh, I thought you meant. I know. I read it like. Off what's that? Yes. And I also read it like, um, like what's the school regulation thing?
Starting point is 00:17:40 Ofsted. I read it like that, like, cheated on Offstead. I was like, was she involved in the British schooling system? Seems like a strange coupling. But go off, Queen. Anyway, apparently she cheated, I believe. And I saw this article that Beth Ashley, who's a previous guest that we've had on the podcast, wrote for Cosmo.
Starting point is 00:17:59 Why is it worse? Because obviously the reaction has been mammoth. Right. Why is it worse? Why would it societally be considered worse for a pregnant woman to cheat on her husband than it would be for a husband
Starting point is 00:18:15 to cheat on his pregnant wife like if I cheated on Alex right now people would be like that is feral that is disgusting you off like ew harlot scarlet A bad bad foul and if he cheated on me
Starting point is 00:18:30 everyone would be like you scummer So Cardi B's pregnant She was yeah She was pregnant when she cheated on offset Yes I know I don't think he was christened that And he's the father of her child.
Starting point is 00:18:41 Yeah. She cheated on him. I believe so. Okay. We don't know who we're with. But, okay, so this has gotten a huge reaction. Yes. Well, obviously it would be far worse if he had cheated on her.
Starting point is 00:18:53 No, it would be. No. It would be exactly, it would be, it would be the same. But it wouldn't be the same. Because I think people would be, I think people are going to be harder on her because it's so unusual. I think people are going to be harder on her. No, it's definitely worse if he cheated on her, definitely worse.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Than her cheating on him. Yeah. Well, she had a baby in their tummy. Yeah. I like that you think that. Explain it to me. Because she's in a very vulnerable position. He's not.
Starting point is 00:19:17 Yeah, okay, that's fair enough. So there's a definite power. In balance. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, cheating on a pregnant person is about as scummy as it gets. Yeah, they're struggling. And like, there's a lot of factors at play there. That's definitely worse.
Starting point is 00:19:30 As I said in the past, if Alex were cheating on me at the moment, I'd probably be like, you know what? Go get it. That does take something off my plate. Pop off, Al. Yeah. I mean, okay, both are really bad, but obviously. that's worse, no?
Starting point is 00:19:41 Well, I'm pleased you think that. So what Beth was saying was that the reaction, I don't know if she has cheated, by the way, he's accused her of cheating while pregnant. Anyway, but the reaction, apparently, has been very much, like, slut-shaming her for cheating while being pregnant. Right.
Starting point is 00:19:56 Because I guess that is quite unusual. It's very unusual, mainly because you just, like, feeling sexy is the last thing I feel when I was pregnant. But I also wonder, like, what kind of personally are you getting with that's, like, chill, with like Alex finds sometimes like the fact that I've got a bump a bit weird and he's the one that
Starting point is 00:20:16 made the bomb you know what I mean yeah Dave found it very weird yeah yeah yeah depends on the day but like sometimes he's like no it can't that's yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah like this is odd yeah so with that in mind like if you're not if you're not happy with your own you know like it's your own creation like with someone else I would feel a bit uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:20:41 Do we know who she cheated with? No, he's just accused her. I didn't even think she... Oh. The headlines, the Cardi B says she regrets offset, which is this is where I was getting very confused because the word offset sounds... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:52 She regrets, like, offsetting her carbon footprint, but no, she regrets offset. He accuses her of cheating while pregnant. She says, I've always been too good for you. I'm obsessed with Cardi B. Love that. She sounds offset after he accuses her of cheating while pregnant. She says, I regret you.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Yeah, apparently this is all. all happened on Instagram. Fuck it. I'm in. I'm in. Hookline. Let me just... There's something else want to talk to you about. Hit me. Hang on. Cardi B and offset is trending on Instagram. I didn't even know you can see trending on Instagram. What? How did you see that? There's a big arrow next to it.
Starting point is 00:21:24 Oh wow. They really are just copy and pasting TikTok's algorithm, aren't they? No. See, she's... Yes, she might be talking about him. But if she is, it's in a very... cryptic way I can't I haven't got time to analyze these okay anyway yeah I just I think cheating while pregnant it's kind of fascinating or just that was literally probably the last
Starting point is 00:21:51 thing I was on my mind during pregnancy it's quite far from my mind anyway but during pregnancy very very very far away it's a non-thing but it is also societally so much more accepted for like men to cheat on pregnant women I feel like it happens all the time yeah it does isn't it yeah yeah because oh they got a bit fat and they didn't put out anymore and like she wasn't the woman that I've married yeah
Starting point is 00:22:17 yeah she was complete headcase for nine months like oh poor me can we talk quickly about Lizzo oh yeah always what you want to say I mean she's had she's had not very good press for good few years now it's been a bit of a downfall a bit of a fall from grace for her but
Starting point is 00:22:34 she obviously built her brand on like body positivity yeah and now she is she's lost a lot of weight has she she lost a lot of weight and she's haven't they all um a ticot where she said oh my god ticot ticot is now hooked up with wikipedia so when you type in lizzo it takes you to ticot i can't go on my mom donates to wikipedia does she she says she googled and she does because she does a crossword she's a legend and she googles so much she said i would would be nothing without Wikipedia, right? I owe them a great gratitude of thanks. She said it's, we take for granted how much access we get to information for free in this
Starting point is 00:23:13 country. She's right. She's so right. She's so right. She's inspired me. I'm going to donate to Wikipedia. Shouldn't be, the amount of stuff. Like, I should be, I should be paying for so much more than what I am.
Starting point is 00:23:23 IMDB and Reddit, I should pay full subscriptions for. I'm TV. I look at IMDB for everything. For what? I've done ever looked at IMDB. Every time I've ever watched a show. I have to know everything. I'm now watching Brassick.
Starting point is 00:23:34 which I love. Is it good? It's so good. Is it? Yes, I'm obsessed with the main guy and I'm desperate to get him on the pod. He wasn't one of the ones to stood us up.
Starting point is 00:23:43 I'm desperate to get him. Honestly, I worry hugely for cast members. So I have to go and know everything about them. Are they working? Are they okay? Like, it's work good. Have they got, are they in relationships? Do they have kids?
Starting point is 00:23:55 Why don't you do our Wikipedia? Well, I do a bit of both. Oh, okay. You know, sometimes, you know, mostly I do wiki, but then, you know, that doesn't have the full extensive film. Because also I'm like, What if I know you from something?
Starting point is 00:24:04 Which I always do. I know you from something and I need to know what. Do you have the app? No, it always tries to make me download the app. I'm like, why do you think I want the app? Well, you spend enough time on it. Well, I know. Reddit does the same thing.
Starting point is 00:24:15 And I'm like, I don't want the app. I think I should probably get the app. Oh, I like the Reddit app. I haven't got it. It's really good, yeah. I say that it's really good. I don't know why I think that. It's the same as looking in on a browser, but I still enjoy it.
Starting point is 00:24:24 I'm a bit scared as Reddit. I get notifications from Reddit of like, oh, things you might like. Do you like this? Some of them are so unhinged. Oh, good. Like, once it was like, oh, junior doctors, like talking about the latest new policy in the NHS, and I was like, this is not for me, but I enjoy the suggestion.
Starting point is 00:24:44 I enjoy the suggestion. Well, for me, it's quite unhinged, right? I'm very far from being a junior doctor. I thought it was going to be like a, hey, guys, I put a hamster up my bum and I'm the arseal. Like, that's the kind of stuff that I always end up seeing on Reddit. Okay, so Lizzo posted this. when you finally get ozempic allegations after five months of weight training and calorie deficit
Starting point is 00:25:04 and the background is like a reward okay that's the background to the video it's like a reward that people are saying she's on ozempic yeah she's like yay people saying or people are asking if I want ozempick because they've lost so much weight yeah she has lost a lot of weight everyone's on it everyone is on it it's insane i'm seeing so much on instagram of people putting up stories now being like guys I've just been hitting the gym and I'm like why are you lying why are you lying I know I know because yeah but I get it I so get it
Starting point is 00:25:37 like it's oh my god but I do wonder where these people are getting it from oh please it's the easiest thing in the world easiest thing in the world yeah so easy yeah but yeah I did it I just I hate that we're like and I know why people are lying because there is so much stigma
Starting point is 00:25:53 and there's so much shame and I get it and I know it's so nuanced and it's difficult and I know it's been a godsend for so many people but I really am struggling with the line particularly with people online who have, again, I think if your body's never been related to what you do,
Starting point is 00:26:13 then it's really crack up, like it's really fine. But people who have made a specific career and I'm not talking about actresses who have been typecast as plus size actresses. I know everyone's kind of angry with Rebel Wilson. Rebel Wilson and you're one from Barbie Frera. America Ferre
Starting point is 00:26:29 No Barbie I'm mixing up their names The one who's in Euphoria Barbie My sister was telling me about her the day She called Barbie Is her first name
Starting point is 00:26:35 Anyway she was Oh yes Yes yes yes And she used lost loads of weight And cat was saying like That's like You know we were talking about that And I don't know
Starting point is 00:26:43 I don't know But I do think Like if you've specifically made a career Profited off of Of plus size Body positivity Body and that's been
Starting point is 00:26:53 Your whole thing You owe it To the people that you follow To be honest About how you're losing way That's why I'm struggling with people coming on being like guys I'm just working out I don't know I don't believe you
Starting point is 00:27:03 I know I know it's wrong isn't it it is wrong yeah it is really wrong and I think my mind's changing on it the more the longer this goes on also and this is like this is like a bigger episode in itself but like also I'm not a doctor or a scientist or whatever an expert but that's not how you lose a lot of weight is to just work out oh hell no it's very difficult
Starting point is 00:27:23 to lose a lot of weight and it's not just a matter of oh I've just gone to the gym a few times a week When I started running, I put on about two days. Because you were hungrier? Because I was hungry. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I maintain that. Like, I mean, looking at my body, like, when I was, like, very thin in my life,
Starting point is 00:27:40 the only time I've been very thin was because I didn't eat. Same. Same. And I have had a very big life of exercise since then. Yeah. When I started doing triathlon, when I started doing marathons, that's when I put weight on. So I just, I don't believe it. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:27:57 But I just find it. It's just so toxic because I fell for all that shit when I was a teenager and I was struggling. I know. I know. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:03 And yeah. Well, I don't know. Are we going to tell people as it secret? We're going to, we're actually going to do a series. Yeah. We're working on it now
Starting point is 00:28:15 for when I go away, for when I have the baby. Yeah. And this will be a much bigger series. If you have any thoughts on any of this, we'd really love to hear from you actually because we're working on it at the moment. and we're really trying to pin down like who to interview like who would be the best people to
Starting point is 00:28:33 interview for this like we do want to speak to someone about ozempic someone who's completely non i mean it's impossible to be completely non-biased about it but someone who is as non-biased as possible about it to give us like a really good solid overview yeah because i think it's just it's remiss not to talk about it in this 100% where we are with with diet culture now because my mind's changed on it since we first started talking about it i think i thought then it's fine everyone crack on, no one knows anyone in an explanation, absolutely fine. But the more time that's going on and the more people I'm literally seeing, like, halving their body sizes in front of me, they're harder, I'm finding, they're like, reconciling. Yeah. Like, I, I, it does feel dangerous.
Starting point is 00:29:14 Like, it just feels dangerous. Yeah. So my mind's kind of changing on it, which is quite interesting, but I haven't really worked out what I'm at. What I will say is, I think everyone knows it's a Zempec, don't you? Yeah. I think they're, all their followers are aware. Yeah. that it is ozempic. Yeah. I think I'm struggling with like anyone who has been a certain size for their entire lives and now they're suddenly shedding a lot of weight. It's just, I just feel like it has to be something.
Starting point is 00:29:39 I know. I don't know. I don't know. Maybe that's being judging. I don't know. It's a really interesting thing. Anyway, look, we want to talk about this like kind of ozempic, but also just like body, like body image, the marketing of it, the history of it.
Starting point is 00:29:49 Yeah. We're going to do a really big deep dive series. We're both really excited to get to work on it. So if you have any questions, thought. suggestions. Anything you'd like to see in a here, not see, famously, podcast. Anything you'd like to hear in a series? Any, yeah, that's no. Yeah, you've got the email address. Should I delete that? Pod at gmail.com and obviously we're on Instagram's always open. Yeah. This has been a hoot. Turtle hoot. We've covered a lot. A lot. Yeah. Yeah. Tell you what you need.
Starting point is 00:30:20 A little bit hummus before we get going with them. No, I'm post hummers. Oh, goodness me. I can't believe. We've been stood up. We've got to... Still no communication, guys. How tragic? How long's it been now? An hour and 15 minutes after they were supposed to arrive.
Starting point is 00:30:35 That's so rude. And three emails. Three emails. From you. Boy Alex has emailed too. Shit. Well, they probably won't come. We'll have someone walk through the door in a suit in a minute with a brown envelope
Starting point is 00:30:45 going, you've been served. Leave her alone. Okay, well, thanks for being with us, guys. We love to you. We love to you. We'll see you on Monday. Bye. Thank you so much for listening.
Starting point is 00:30:59 Should I delete that is part of the ACAST creator network.
