This is an I-Heart podcast.
Hey, it's your favorite jersey girl, Gia Jude Ice.
Welcome to Casual Chaos, where I share my story.
This week, I'm sitting down with Banderpump Roll Star, Sheena Shea.
I don't really talk to either of them, if I'm being honest.
There will be an occasional text, one way or the other, from me to Ariana.
Maybe a happy birthday from Ariana to me.
I think the last time I talked to Tom, it was like, congrats on America's Got Talent.
This is a combo you don't want to miss.

It may look different, but Native Culture is alive.
My name is Nicole Garcia, and on Burn Sage, Burn Bridges, we aim to explore that culture.
Somewhere along the way, it turned into this full-fledged award-winning comic shop.
That's Dr. Lee Francis IV, who opened the first Native comic bookshop.
Explore his story along with many other Native stories.

If a baby is giggling in the back seat, they're probably happy.
If a baby is crying in the back seat, they're probably hungry.
But if a baby is sleeping in the back seat, will you remember they're even there?
When you're distracted, stressed, or not usually the one who drives them,
the chances of forgetting them in the back seat are much higher.
It can happen to anyone.
Parked cars get hot fast and can be deadly.
So get in the habit of checking the back seat when you leave.
The message from NHTSA and the Ad Council.
Hi, I'm Kate Hudson.
And my name is Oliver Hudson.
We wanted to do something that highlighted our relationship.
and what it's like to be siblings.
We are a sibling rivalry.
No, no.
Sibling reverie.
Don't do that with your mouth.
Sibling revelry.
That's good.
I still got to come up with a name for the name for this.
shit I don't know because we're adding a little little segment it's all over's
rants or I don't know I got to come up with like a cool name and then I can do like a cool
sound effect like all over's ranns get got got got that but you know what I mean something
like I don't know I don't know I don't know what the name is you know what
write in someone write in a name like Hudson's
hookah where I just smoke a hookah
and talk about shit
coming up with great ideas
anyway I'm in Toronto
Canada
got in last night
starting a Netflix movie with
Alicia Silverstone
which I'm very excited about
Cher from Clueless
my daughter was actually Cher
for Halloween two years ago
we flew on the plane together
she's awesome
my son Wilder
Hudson is in the movie with me. Now, before you start screaming nepotism and blah, blah, blah,
yes, of course there's fucking nepotism. Nepotism exists across all occupations. So before we get
into nepotism, which may be able to do my rant today, I don't even fucking know, because my
rants are just rants. I don't know what I'm going to even talk about. But he auditioned five
and a half times. The half was a story that I won't tell. But anyway,
How did he get approved by Netflix?
He did it on his own.
Now, did he get a foot in the door?
Of course he did.
That's how it works.
But as an actor, no one's going to hire you just because you have to show merit.
You have to show that you can do the gig.
He's never done anything before, and he's here with me right now.
He got the gig.
It's an incredibly special moment for me and my son.
You know, six weeks together in Toronto,
living together. It's only been one night. And I had a vision. Okay. I had a vision and it still
might come true that we were going to cook together and laugh and go over lines and watch
movies and, you know, it was almost this montage in my head of this music playing and us
frolicing around and bonding and holding hands and shopping and getting to know each other's father
and son my 17 year old
and then we get here
and he goes to his room
and he's in his room
like he is in L.A. And I'm just like
yeah, you want to come down watch a movie? Like I've got
this cool room with a fireplace
and cool TV. I'm like, let's watch a movie.
No, I'm good, no, good.
And then is this what it's going to be like?
I need this montage to come
to life.
I honestly thought he was going to like
maybe regress back to 10 and like cuddle with me in my bed
I was wrong
but there's still time we just got here there's still time
and maybe I'll just force him to
but anyway it's it's an amazing experience
I'm looking forward to it like tremendously
he's got a big ass part
I'm more nervous I think than he is
he's never done this before but he just
killed it. He gave an amazing audition. He's
very natural. Very
green, meaning like he's never done it.
So, either way,
it's going to,
it's going to be a bucket
list. It's a bar ready. It's going to be a memorable
thing. And
I'm looking
forward. I cannot wait. As far as the nepotism
things go, you know, it just
feels like, I know this is sort of
old news in a way. Remember,
there's a whole, like, a nepotism sort of
thing like a year ago or meh nepo baby the nepo baby for some reason it's always attributed to
hollywood and i get it it's the most visible but it's like oh nepotism in hollywood yeah but it's
fucking everywhere if your parents own a law firm if you're if they work in steel if they do whatever
it is that they do and you have a leg up in that business if you want it in fact i would argue
that it's probably easier to insert your child into a position of a company
that they might not deserve because of nepotism rather than in Hollywood
where, yeah, you can get your foot in the door.
There's no doubt about that.
I'm not denying that.
You know, I got him an audition because I'm in it.
At the end of the day, there is no studio, there is no network that is going to hire
someone who sucks.
It doesn't benefit them in any way.
you know just to appease me or
or Kate or any huge movie star
they have to be good
you know
so
it is what it is
nepotism is what it is
everyone everyone
you know who has a parent in a certain business
can experience it if you want to get into that
business that's just the way it is
but Hollywood has sort of been
you know it's been
picked on I
guess just because it's the most difficult um yeah and you know i'm sure there's a ton of
you know people who have gotten the leg up who just couldn't cut it now they're no longer in that
business and it's the way it goes i mean if you look at the actors of you know the children of
actors or the children of directors or writers who we know they they
You know, they made it and they're all, they're all good.
They're all good actors.
No one sucks, except for me.
I don't suck.
I could be better.
Let's just put it that way.
I could be better.
But I think in my 50s, it's all going to come together, man.
My production company is titled Slow Burn, Slow Burn Productions, because I feel like a
slow burn. Like, that's kind of how I am. And I feel like in my 50s, I'm kind of finally coming
into my own shit. Took me a while to gain my confidence 50 years. And, you know, when I am 80s,
when I am 87, I'm going to be huge. When I am 87 and once I get into my 90s, it's just going to be
my time. I think that's going to be my time. Anyway, I got to get out of here. I am heading to
set for the first time with Wilder to go through the steps and the processes. That's not a word.
Now, you know, if you want to hear the journey, I will be more than happy to sort of come back
on every once in a while and give you updates on the journey of this father-son moment.
good and bad.
I need to know, though, because I don't want to bore anyone.
So if you want to, if you want the journey, email text, DM, smoke signal it, Western Union, whatever.
And if the consensus is yes, then I might give a little, you know, a little diary,
a little audio diary of how it's going up here.
Anyway, I love everyone
And figure out a name for this
Oliver's rants, Hudson's hookah
You know, I don't know
Oliver Hudson talks shit
All right, peace
