Desert Financial Credit Union marked the grand opening of its newest branch in Prescott
with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, November 1, 2024.
In honor of its new Prescott branch, Desert Financial will contribute more than $60,000 to local
nonprofits during a special week of giving leading up to the grand opening ceremony.
Donations will benefit Prescott organizations,
dedicated to enhancing the community, including Prescott Area Shelter Services, Friends of Prescott
Library, and the Launchpad Teen Center. Strong communities create economic opportunity and increase
financial well-being for everyone, said Jeff Meshe, President and CEO of Desert Financial Credit
Union. As we expand in the Prescott area, Desert Financial is focused on giving back and ensuring
that our presence is felt not only through our financial services but through meaningful support to
our neighbors. Branch Details
The Prescott Branch will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The branch is unique among Desert Financial locations and offering Medallion's signature guarantees. This special service verifies the authenticity of signatures on documents transferring securities. The branch is staffed by eight full-time employees, all dedicated to providing excellent service to the Prescott community. This grand opening is more than just the launch of a new Desert Financial Credit Union branch,

a weekend long intensive workshop, along with 50 hygiene kits.

Middle. Friends of Prescott Library-5,000 for iPads, applications and books to support nonverbal learners.

Mr.Prescott Farmers Market dash $7,500 to support the Feed Your Neighbors Program, which increases
access to affordable fresh food for those on a limited income.
Middle.priscot Area Shelter Services $15,000 to support their savings match program, which
assists families and women in transitioning into permanent housing.
Middle. Prescott Unified School District Education Foundation
$15,000 to support innovative collaborative classroom desks in 21 classrooms at Mile High
Middle School, impacting nearly 600 students. Since 2020, Desert Financial Credit Union and Desert
Financial Foundation have contributed an additional $530,000 in charitable donations, scholarships,
and sponsorships to Yavapai County nonprofit organizations and educational institutions.
