When teachers have the tools they need, students thrive, and when students succeed, our community
grows stronger. Applications are open from Monday, July 21 to Friday August 8th, at Desertfinancial.com
slash adopta teacher. The short application asks for the teacher's name, school, district, and a
brief description of how the funds will be used. Priority will be given to teachers at Title I schools
and proposals that create long-term impact for students or can be used for years to come.
K-12 teachers and cochees, Coconino, Heila, La Paz, Maricopa, Mojave, Navajo, Pima, Pima,
Pinaal, Yavapai, or Yuma County's are eligible to apply. Being a member of Desert Financial
Credit Union is not necessary. During the past six years, adopted teacher winners have used

robotics equipment, and more, bringing creativity and hands-on learning to life for their students.
I want to give a huge thank you to Desert Financial and their adopt-a-te-teacher program.
It has truly made a difference in my life personally, and in my classroom, said Heather Bender,
a teacher at Prescott Mile High Middle School and adopt a teacher recipient in 2024.
This year's recipients will be announced on or around Tuesday, September 2nd.
In 2024, Desert Financial Credit Union, Desert Financial Foundation, and our team members invested
more than $3.4 million to support education in Arizona through programs such as the school
