The meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 18th, between 5 and 6.30 p.m., at the Flagstaff Aquaplex, 1702 North 4th Street. This meeting will allow community members to learn more about the project, including the plan for the area and how it fits into the city's transportation system. Project details Bonicki Construction will begin mobilizing equipment into the work zone the week of August 31st, with construction activities commencing on Tuesday, September 8th, following the Labor Day holiday. Construction on the city's portion of this roadway extension is expected to be completed by the end of fall 2028. The project consists of extending present-day J.W. Powell Boulevard from its current terminus, just east of Lone Tree Boulevard, to 4th Street. This new extension will feature one lane in each direction with new underground utilities and multimodal amenities. Note that the city is only responsible for building the middle portion of this new extension, shown on the map in red, with the remaining
