The City of Kingman, in partnership with Mojave County and the Kingman Fire Department, invites residents to safely dispose of unwanted or unused household hazardous hazardous materials at a free residential household hazardous waste collection event on Saturday October 17, 26.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will take place at 3675 East Andy Devine Avenue and Kingman.
Residents are encouraged to take this opportunity to safely dispose of materials that should not be placed in regular trash bins or poured down household drains.
Accepted items include aerosol cans.
Automotive fluids, motor oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze, brake fluid.
Auto and light truck tires, off the rim.
Regular and lithium batteries.
Compact fluorescent bulbs, CFLs.
Electronics
products, latex, oil-based, alkaloid, and thinners. Pesticides, herbicides, and weed killers. Pool chemicals. Fertilizers,
gasoline, kerosene, and household cleaners. Any other household product labeled caution, warning, danger,
poison, toxic, flammable, combustible, or corrosive. Items that will not be accepted include,
commercial or industrial waste, explosives, radioactive waste, ammunition, appliances, furniture,
shredded documents, commercial tires, or any material originating from businesses or institutions.
Residents are responsible for placing their own tires into the designated roll-off containers on site.
This free event makes it simple and convenient for Kingman and Mojave County residents to clear out
old or unused hazardous items and properly dispose of them in one location.
