During her time on the Friends, she applied successfully for grants and was able to spruce up the American Legion Park with grass, trees, parking lot and recreational opportunities. In recent years, the Friends collected donations to build a memorial to Sergeant Rick Lopez at Antelope Park, located south of Coyote Springs Elementary School at the corner of North Cattle Track Road and Powers Avenue. The bronze sign, shade trees and bench serve as a token of the community's gratitude to Sergeant Lopez's service.
Starting point is 00:00:58 This fall the Friends will sponsor 10 new murals on utilities boxes throughout town. These add to those painted and dedicated over that last two years. With a mission of putting our community in motion by enhancing the parks, recreation, and culture experience, the board invites the community to their annual meeting on November 5th at 4 p.m. at the Parks and recreation offices at 7351 East Scoug Boulevard, Prescott Valley, Arizona, 86315. The slate of officers will be presented at the meeting. goals for the new year will be discussed and the bylaws will be reviewed. If you are interested in making a tax-exempt donation to the Friends,
