Hey, everybody. Welcome back to Signal's News podcast today. I have Daniel Estrada. And Daniel, you are part of the, I'm going to call it the duo with you and your dad with True Legacy landscaping. Yeah, that's me. And well, thanks for having me here. Yeah. Thank you for coming in. Tell us a little bit about your business. Well, I'm going to be honest with you. It's pretty basic as it is. Like I'm a landscaper. Yeah, I'm a landscaper. And my purpose here is just to make the whole Prescott community a little bit more beautiful and just keep it that way. I mean, I was born in Prescott and raised in Chino Valley my whole life. But I'm just proud to say that, and I just want to contribute a little bit more to the community. So born here, raised here, have you stayed here the whole time? The whole time. See, that's good.

So many people, they can't wait to get out of here. And then they leave. And then they go, what was I thinking? And then they come back home. And I've met a lot of kids that say that. And I'm going to be 100% honest with you. I was the same way. But once I truly embraced God.

into my life and I truly, I realize you can choose your own peace. It doesn't matter where you're at. And this is where I choose to call home. Well, peace and, you know, conflict. If you're, you're going to be the same person wherever you go and just make it the best you possibly can. And being right, I mean, this is a great place to live. Oh, I love it here, to be honest. And everyone's so lovely here, God's been blessing me with nothing but good clients. Oh, that's good. So how long have you guys been in business. So I've been doing this, well, I'm 24 now, so I've been doing this nine years, but this is my first year of actually going into business. Is there a reason why it took you so long to kind of take the plunge? Well, unfortunately, my mom was dealing with stage four breast cancer

for about three years now. And, well, I had to choose between business and taking care of my mom. And the answer was pretty obvious. And I don't regret it at all. all. She gave me the strength that I have now and she's giving me the wings to just launch for my dreams. Yeah, I can't imagine you're going to look back and say, oh, I wish I had worked more during that time. Definitely not. So it was a small sacrifice for all the huge sacrifices she's ever done for me. You're a good son. I try to be. And now you're in business with your, you call them your pops? Yeah, my pops. So has he always been in landscaping? He's always been in landscaping. And well, ever since I was kid he used to work at the nursery so he just kind of planted a green thumb in me

that's awesome that's awesome so with your landscaping isn't mostly residential do you do commercial it's mostly residential right now but um with the proper insurance and licenses that i have now I'm aiming for commercial as well yeah that's very cool so what is something that you think sets you guys apart I'm going to be 100% honest with you I don't I'm not out here looking at what other companies are offering or what they're doing, I'm just strictly what I'm doing. And if you choose true legacy landscaping, I promise you're going to get good quality work, honest men, and efficiency. Okay, but with you and your dad, just you too, how do you get, you know, can you take on big jobs? Are you able to- Oh, definitely. We got tons of guys just waiting for work. And, but right now,

we're not big enough to hire action employees, but we got the guys to back us up. So if, and people choose to grow true legacy landscaping, I promise you're going to be the next big thing. That's awesome. So I don't think that I've talked to somebody who is as confident as you. Do you want to tell a little bit? So I'm watching your Facebook. You are a creative dude.

Just with your like a content creator and that's something you've been doing for a long time and you do it very well. Well, I was actually doing it for about two years now. So I started off on TikTok and it's kind of silly because I kind of made my mom record me doing a silly trend. And it only got 30 likes, but for some reason I got super excited about those 30 likes. I'm like, I didn't even try in this. Imagine if I would actually try it.

So I had this TikTok account. It actually grew up to 6 million likes. And well, unfortunately, it wasn't really in my alignment anymore. So I just kind of deleted it and started from brand new. So I don't got that stress. So having to perform good every day. and I'm just doing my own thing, but my Instagram is still active and it gets about a million likes. Really?

A million likes a month. So it could do a little better, but it's getting there. Yeah, I post something like three likes. But what I love is that you've been able to not just do, you know, like the trends or whatever, you've turned it into a really great way to market yourself in your business. Oh, yeah. And what I like about it the most, I don't, well, yes, I want to work with potential. marketers one day, but right now I'm in 100% control. So it's my aesthetic and my honesty behind it.

Yeah, when you're ready, partner with the right people, but the fact that you already kind of have that leg up on, you know, you're going to be able to tell marketers, like, no, do it this way. No, hold your camera this way. Yeah, and honestly, that's the plan, to be honest. I really want to grow my business to the point where I'm able to control my marketing 100%, and I got the time for it. Well, and you'd be able to hire some employees and you'll be able to one day step back and be the boss and do the marketing and do all the fun stuff. So I'm sure you enjoy landscaping. I was looking at your videos. Like, you take a lot of pride in your work. Oh, 100% pride. And I tell my customers all the time, if you're not happy with the work, please call me. I'm not one to be about

her or sad about anything. Like, I want you to tell me if I'm doing something wrong, so I'm able to satisfy you because I think customer satisfaction is. should be everyone's main goal. Well, I like how you said, contact you. Because how many people, they don't like it or something goes wrong and they want to, you know, leave a bad comment or leave a bad review, it's always better if you just give somebody the opportunity to come back and fix it or, you know, maybe you misunderstood or something. But people are just so quick to, you know, to want to tear people down.

So I like the fact that you're like, no, I'll stand behind it. Yeah, definitely. If it's not right, I'll fix it. Because we're all humans at the end of the day. I'm not going to promise you a robot that's going to do everything 100% perfect. There might be a day where I slip up or one of my employees slip up, but I can always promise you guys that no matter what, I'm going to make everything right. What's it like working with your pops?

At first, when growing up, it was kind of annoying. I'm not going to lie. We would have our bickers here and there, but now that I'm maturing and I'm growing up, I realized he was saying everything for my own good. You hear that? You hear that, kids? Dad's right.

Mom's right. 100% right. So you guys better listen to them. But for the most part, I enjoy it. And I know it's not going to be it for everything. So every chance that I get to work with my dad, even on the bad days, I truly think it's a blessing. Yeah. I really love what you're saying there.
