The city of Kingman will begin upgrading the traffic signal system at the intersection of Stockton Hill Road, Wallapai Mountain Road, and Andy Devine Avenue starting Monday, January 19, 26.
At this location, Stockton Hill Road transitions into Wallapy Mountain Road, making the intersection an important connection for daily traffic and local travel.
On Monday January 19th, crews will conduct daytime work along the
roadway shoulder. Motorists should anticipate workers in the area and are encouraged to slow down
and use caution while traveling through the intersection. Overnight work will follow from Tuesday,
January 20th through Thursday, January 23rd. Between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. during these hours,
lane closures will be in place and police officers will be on site to assist with traffic control.
The traffic signal will be temporarily dark at times due to overhead construction activities.
Drivers should follow posted signage in officer directions and remain alert for workers and equipment.
