Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, everyone, August 11th, Monday's with Mayor. Hope you on an amazing weekend, and you're ready for this week. We did get little pockets of rain over the weekend. Hopefully you had a little bit of that. But I got good news. We were checking the weather, and it looks like maybe Wednesday to Saturday. We have a higher chance of monsoon tinnitus. So fingers crossed on that.
Starting point is 00:00:17 What we got, we'll kick it off with, we are hiring a senior engineer for public works. So if you or anyone else you know is interested in working for the town, has the qualifications, check it out on our website. What else we got? This is just a reminder. We're one month away from our 9-11 ceremony, which is held right out here at Theater on the Green. Starts at 6 o'clock. Hopefully you put it on your calendar.
Starting point is 00:00:39 Usually lasts about 45 minutes. Great event. Hope to see you out there. And we'll talk more about it as we get a little closer. Again, a month away, crazy. Whether you got ribbon cutting today, Annal Park near Coy Springs Elementary School is ribbon cutting for the playground. Brand new playground equipment.
Starting point is 00:00:57 it is amazing, folks. Wait until you see it. We'll do a post about it as well. You'll be able to check it out. But if you're available, you want to swing by? 4 o'clock today, ribbon cutting. A couple of things we're going to talk about is just for those that are interested, men softball, not men softball, but just adult softball.
Starting point is 00:01:14 I'm sorry. It goes from September 3rd to November 3rd, Monday and Wednesday nights. Registration for softball will close on the 24th of this month. So if you want to put it together a team, you only have a couple more weeks left. So pay attention to that. And then with the same, along the same lines, fall volleyball, September 23rd to November 20th. Those nights are on Tuesday and Thursday. Games are held over at the Boys and Girls Club, Corner of Lewis and Robert Road. And for both softball and volleyball, ages are 15 and up. So if you're interested,
Starting point is 00:01:46 registration closes end of this month. One of the things also we have going on on our website, Lasso Loop Survey. We've talked about this before, a large, basically, a trail that surrounds Presby Valley. We want to hear what you have to say, like what amenities you want to see on there. So check it out. Please go to the town website, fill out the survey. Love to hear from you. And finally, another thing that we have for an amenity at the town is it's called the neighborhood toolbox. And basically, if you ever need a wee wacker, a wheelbarrel, brush hogs, shovels, rakes, basically anything you can imagine to take care of your yard, they have it. They even provide gas for the gas powered equipment. So
Starting point is 00:02:27 If you need to get a hold of them, call 928-7596010 and just make an appointment. You go on down there, take what you need, fill out a little paperwork, and then just bring it back when you're done using it, all free. So check that out, folks. Again, neighborhood toolbox. And with that being said, we're finishing up. Dad joke, not a bad joke. Why did the dinosaur cross the road?
Starting point is 00:02:49 Because the chicken wasn't born yet. See you out there. Hope you have a great week.
