Hey, everyone, August 4th, and this is Mondays with Mayor.
Hope you had an amazing weekend, and you're ready for the week.
Let's just start out.
We've got a bunch of things to talk about tomorrow.
National Night Out, from 4 to 7.
We have about 15, basically, block watch parties going on throughout the town of Fresco Valley.
Hopefully you can make it out there.
We'll have staff out there.
We'll have the police out there.
We'll have elected officials.
We'll have firefighters.
It's just a great opportunity to meet your neighbors and talk about town stuff.
So again, tomorrow from 4 to 7, National.
night out. I know
last week, officially was Thursday
was the start of school, but today being
Monday, they kind of worked the kinks out last week.
So please, please, remember
watch for school buses, remember
to stop when the lights are flashing,
as well as let's watch for kids on bikes
and pedestrians and things like that.
So a lot of things going on in the morning
hours and the afternoon hours. So,
again, please pay attention to that.
What are we got?
We'll go with this. If you want
a free water savings kit, you just
go to our website, check in the utilities page, and let you know on how you can pick up some
basically some information and a little toolkit for how to save a little water at your own house.
So again, totally free.
Go to the website, check out our utilities page and find out how you can get your own kit.
What else we got?
Congrats to Archer's Bikes for they announced that they're relocating their business from up near Home Depot in the next few months,
and they're going to go to the empty, basically, the auto parts store next to Maverick.
at Lake Shore and Glacford. So congratulations to them. Look forward to their final move there.
We got this Wednesday. I will be at fries for meet the mayor. Normally we do the meet to
mayor. I'm usually around 12 or 1 o'clock. This one will be from 5 to 7. It gives those people
that have an opportunity to work or go to the grocery store in the evening to come by,
chit chat, and let me know what you think is going on. So again, this Wednesday, fries on
Glastford Hill 5 to 7.
What are we got?
Also on Wednesday from, I don't have a time here.
So it's the teen party at the Prescott Valley Library Crystal Room.
It's called pizzas and poppies.
Basically, it's for kids from 12 to 18.
And there's going to be games, pizza, fun.
If you want more information, go to the town website, click on events, and it'll pull up.
So I think it's in the afternoon.
And it's going to start at 2 o'clock.
So 2 o'clock, you check on it.
Pizza and puppies, I mean, can't go wrong with that, right?
So again, for teens, 12 to 18, have a good time.
Check it out.
Tomorrow is Prescott's election for mayor.
And I just looking forward to continuing our cooperation with our neighboring towns.
So it's a good opportunity.
I know there are some people that are on this that are from Prescott.
So if you haven't voted, you have to turn your vote in on Fair Street in person by 7 o'clock tomorrow.
So again, looking forward to working with the new mayor of Prescott.
next Monday,
4 o'clock, ribbon cutting,
up at Anelope Park,
all new playground equipment.
So for those of you that have children,
I'm sure you've been around
to a lot of different playgrounds,
but it's got a total new makeover
up there at Anelope Park.
Really, really exciting.
So that'll be next Monday.
We'll also talk about it next week.
Monday's with Mayor,
but put it on your calendar
for 4 p.m.
Antelope Park.
With that being said, folks,
we're up to our dad joke,
not a bad joke.
Keeping with the education theme,
Why do calculators make great friends?
Because you can always count on him.
See you out there.
Have a great week.
