Hey, everyone. Happy Mondays with Mayor, New Year 2025. It is January 26th. Hope you had an amazing new year and you're ready to kick off the month of January and every other month really, really well. So let's get right into it. Next Friday, January 17th, January 23rd, the Civic Center itself will be closing at 3 o'clock. And that's just for some electrical maintenance that needs to get done. Police Department Library is still going to be open. Just if you need to come to town hall, do it before 3 o'clock on the 17th and the 23rd.
What else we got going on next Wednesday, January 25th, at 545, we say happy retirement to Chui and Cato, two of our fine canine dogs.
Ceremony starts at 5 o'clock.
That's not open in the public.
But at 545, if you'd like to join the police department, along with these canines for the infamous tennis ball drop, this is a great time to send off our canines.
You are more than welcome to do that on the grass outside the police training room.
Again, that's next Wednesday, January 15.
So congratulations to these two K-lines.
Well, we got also January 16th at the PD training room is join our green stormwater meeting.
So public works is combined with West consultants.
They invite you to come in, share your input.
You have some issues or concerns about specific areas, maybe where you live,
in regards to stormwater drainage and the infrastructure.
Here's a great opportunity to share.
your information. So January 16th, 430 to 530. Also Thursday, January 16th, this is what we got going on.
Prescott Valley Blood Drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also over at the Prescott Valley Police Department.
If you have any questions, contact Iybeth at 928-759-309. Donate blood if you want to. Again, next Thursday,
the 16th, 2025. Last week, last Friday, we kicked off the budget.
with our budget retreat. So that's an exciting time moving into our budget of the year 25, 26.
You're going to hear a lot more information about that. We've had surveys out. We'll talk about
more of it online and Facebook. And I'd love to hear what your input is and what kind of issues
and concerns do you think we should be focusing our budget on. And then today, folks, I had a great
meeting with some individuals and concerned citizens and the family members of Gabriel, who
tragically lost his life in a bike riding accident over on viewpoint drive on November 12th.
And folks, I'm not going to get into details in regards to the meeting, but I just want to let
you know that the town of Prescott Valley, the council, we have a commitment to improving
the safety of our trails and our sidewalks all throughout the town of Prescott Valley.
So moving forward, you'll be able to hear more information and more ideas.
And this group of energized residents have some great ideas on how to make Presby Valley better.
And that's what it all comes about is citizens and residents working together with the town to make Prescott Valley a great place.
So please stay tuned for that.
And with that being said, folks, that is our monies with the mayor.
Have a great week.
