Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey everyone, it is July 7th, and this is Mondays with the mayor. Hope you had an amazing weekend, and hopefully you got out to see red, white, and boom. So we had probably, I'm guessing, 15,000 people around here at the Civic Center Plaza, and fireworks were amazing. The event was amazing, so hopefully you were able to attend. With that being said, we're always looking at ways to try to improve. So if you have any comments, how your experience was, just kind of tag onto this post and just let us know what your thoughts were and what you think we could maybe improve for next year. I love to hear it. Speaking of wanting to hear information, Glassford-Dell survey is still open for the Glassford-Dells Park.
Starting point is 00:00:37 And basically, we're looking for your feedback, what you think should go in and around the area and what different types of amenities we should or should not have. So please go to our website, click on the link. It takes probably about five or six minutes to fill out. But we would love to hear from you on reference that. What else? We got PV in Focus Podcasts. So these are new podcasts that we're doing. This latest episode was about Wildlife Quarrow.
Starting point is 00:01:02 corridor plan and what's happening with that. But basically our town manager, Gilbert Davidson, he goes over different types of things each month. And a new episode comes out the first and third week of the month. So stay tuned for that. Also on our website, just click on it. It's good. It's a good information on what's happening. And he goes over a wide variety of town-related stuff. In no specific order, our treasure hunt last week. For those you that played along or didn't play along just for information. The treasure was located outside the library and then also up at Viewpoint Park. So this week, oh, on, congrats to the winners. We'll be reaching out, you'll get you your prizes. So this week, we will be doing the treasure
Starting point is 00:01:43 hunt on Saturday. I had a lot of people reach out saying that, hey, they work on Thursday. It would be great if they could go with your kids on Saturday. So look for that. Riddle on Saturday this week. What do we got going on for tomorrow? Bringing back to meet the mayor, ask the mayor any questions. I'll be at fries from 1 to 2.30. Basically over by where Desert Financial Bank is. If you want, if you're shopping, be popping around, want to ask a question. Come on by.
Starting point is 00:02:10 I'll be there. I'll have some town shopskeets for you, maybe some pens or things like that. And other than that, I'd love to hear from you. Any thoughts, ideas, or questions you answered? Again, I'll be there from 1 to 2.30 tomorrow. What else we got? We got National Night Out starting, it's going to be actually next month, Tuesday, August 5th, from 4th.
Starting point is 00:02:30 to 7. If you're interested in hosting a party, go to the website, go to our website, I'm sorry, and there's some information in the link on what you can do and how you can help out and get on the list for police to come by, fire department to come by, town officials to come by. It's a real great event and an excuse to get with your neighbors and have a good time. So again, Tuesday, August 5th, 4 to 7. Finally, excuse me, road work on spouse. So between Glassford and Lone Cactus, it will be closed starting today until Thursday. So thanks for the patience on that. You'll have to probably just basically go down Lone Cactus to work your way around that detour.
Starting point is 00:03:08 So again, road work is going to be on spouse, and between Glassford and Lone Cactus, right over there will be closed. So I'm sorry, correction, go down long look. That'll get you over to where you need to be. So that will happen and we close until Thursday. So thanks to everyone. Final dad joke. where was the Declaration of Independence signed? On paper.
Starting point is 00:03:30 That you thought I was going to say on the bottom, on the paper. So folks, have a great week. We'll see you out there.
