Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey everyone, welcome to Mondays with the mayor. It is March 10th. Hopefully you all survived the blizzard last Friday and are ready to tackle this week. So what do we got? We talked about it last week, but here we go. March 11th, tomorrow 530, 630 is our stormwater. Stakeholder meeting. Show up. If you want to learn more about that, you're going to hear brief presentation, stormwater initiatives and basically talk about stormwater issues in our community. So again, tomorrow 530, 630, over at the police department training room. Can't miss it. So hope to you that. What else we got? Next week, coffee with a cop. If you want to interact with our police officers and some volunteers, head on over to Mulberry Farms over off of Highway 69. Next Wednesday from 1 to 2.30, great opportunity. Interact with our police officers, ask some questions if you have them, or just say hi and be friendly and meet other people in the community.
Starting point is 00:00:50 So again, next week, Wednesday, March 19th, 1 to 2.30. Starting today, long awaited. Basically on Lake Valley from Highway 69 to Florentine, both sides of the road, north and southbound traffic, we will be working on that road. So please, if you're going to head over that way, just be patient. Or if you can find an alternative route, we ask you to do that as well. So it's going to be great once the road is finished, folks. If you've driven on it, it is kind of, you know, wavy and rough, but this will solve all
Starting point is 00:01:20 of those problems. If you're interested, would you please head on over to our town website? Click on our housing survey. It's open until the end of the month. We'd love to hear more about what your thoughts are on housing. So it takes probably about three to five minutes. Just goes on, click on, answer a few questions. We'd love to hear from you.
Starting point is 00:01:41 What else did we have last week? Just shout out. We had Brantley Gilbert come to town on Friday night. We had Jeff Dunham come on Saturday night. We had approximately 5,600 people come to the Jeff Dunham concert, and it was great. So anytime we get an opportunity for residents or visitors from all across the state to come to Prescott Valley, enjoy a show, spend some money at our stores and our restaurants is truly appreciated. And then also exciting news.
Starting point is 00:02:06 I don't know if you saw that we announced it on my Facebook page, but this Thursday at Council, we will be approving the final development plan for Aldi, which is a grocery store similar to Trader Joe's. It would be the first one north of Phoenix, and we're excited to welcome them to Prescott Valley. So that'll be a final development plan approval this Thursday. Who else? We got going on. I don't think we have anything else going on.
Starting point is 00:02:28 And this will be our dad joke. All right. So remember, it's not a bad joke. It's a dad joke. And just for information, there will be no monies with the mayor next week. So happy St. Patrick's say on that. What do librarians take when they go fishing? Bookworms.
Starting point is 00:02:46 All right, folks. A great week. We'll see you in two weeks.
