Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, everyone. Monday's with the mayor. It's March 24th. Hope you had an amazing spring break. I know I did. And now it's time to get back to work, right? So we got a lot of things coming up and we'll just get going. First up, lasso loop study. You may be asking, what is the lasso loop? It's a 24-mile proposed trail around Tusket Valley. So what we want you to do is go over to our town website, click on a link. We'd like to hear what you guys think should be on the lasso loop. So different amenities that we'll have on the trail. So check. it out we want to hear your feedback it's great to hear everyone's input no input is bad input so remember that so please go to our town website click on the link tell us what you have to say what else we got going on jasper parkway April 5th no doubt about it folks it's opening up so it's a Saturday we're going to do a little event in the morning uh let kids go out there people walk in their dogs bike on it it's going to be closed to vehicle traffic and then we will open it up officially uh it's going to be great folks so if you don't know where it is, it goes from basically Culver's going to go north to the Jasper subdivision. So on the west side
Starting point is 00:01:06 of Kings Highway and the west side of Granville. So again, April 5th is the opening day. No doubt about it. What do we got going on? This Saturday, Rangler football, indoor football starts. This Saturday, go check it out if you've never gone. That's going to be exciting. I'll be doing the coin flip on that. And then also Little League Baseball starts this Saturday. So even if you don't have kids, folks, I encourage you Just go down to Mount Valley Park, go to any of the field, just walk around. You're going to hear a ton of kids having fun. Families out enjoying the day. And it's just a great opportunity to enjoy what we have going on.
Starting point is 00:01:39 So that's happening. What else? April 12th is our spring fair. So check that out, come down. It'll be basically out here on the grass in between the police department and town hall. Live performances. We'll have carnival rides, crafts, bounce houses, photo booth. That stuff's all free.
Starting point is 00:01:57 The only thing you have to pay for is if you're buying any of the crafts, and food at the food truck. But you're welcome to bring any of your own food. So that'll be a great time. It is going to be 11 to 4. There's been plenty rides, petting zoo. I mean, fun stuff. More fun stuff next month.
Starting point is 00:02:12 And we'll talk a little bit more about this. Badges and Bobbers, previously known as Cops and Bobbers. But it was a free event, April 26. Down at Fane Park, you basically get to go. Police department will be there, a fire department. Everyone will be there. You can go fish for free. No fishing license is required.
Starting point is 00:02:29 There'll be some fishing. holes available if you don't have one and kind of just go enjoy the day, interact with the police department and try to catch a fish. So parking will be up top and they'll be running a shuttle down to the bottom. So again, April 26th from I believe 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. So fun time. We got going on third annual community-wide volunteer affair. That's going to be April 24th at the Civic Center. That's 11 to 2. So if you've thought about basically giving back and being a volunteer, Here's your opportunity. There'll be a bunch of different organizations.
Starting point is 00:03:01 You kind of just go check them out, see what they have to offer, and see what you can offer them. So great opportunity to just go to one place and find out where you can volunteer. So hope to see you out there. What else we got? That's it. We got our joke. Remember, it's a dad joke, not a bad joke. Why did the farmer bury his money?
Starting point is 00:03:22 He had to make his soil rich. Folks, have a great week. It's going to be amazing weather. See you after.
