Hey, everyone. Happy Mondays with the mayor. This is Cinco de Mayo, May 5th.
Hope you had an amazing weekend. So we had Star Wars Day yesterday. Now we have Cinco
Tomorrow and we're ready to kick off Monday. So we'll dive right into it. This Saturday,
library delayed opening due to Prescott Valley Days. So the library this Saturday will open at noon.
So just keep that in mind if you plan on going to the library. And with that being said,
Prescott Valley Days, I know we mentioned it last week, but this Thursday, carnival rolls into town.
events all the way through Sunday and then this Saturday of course is the parade so if you're
interested come on down to the Civic Center and then check online for the parade route as well so
this Saturday is the parade and then Press Valley Day starts on Thursday what else we got
as many of you may know Bill Williams resigned from council last Thursday so starting on
Friday the time will be opening up basically for those that are interested in an application process
You're able to fill it out, turn it in to be appointed for the next year, approximately year, to serve on council before the next election.
So keep in mind for that.
And then stay tuned.
We'll have a link and more information on our website.
What else we got?
We don't really have much going on this week, folks.
But one of the things we need to mention is Hummelton Unified School District, the summer meal program.
So this is basically three summer meals for all children.
So if you live in the district, you have kids that are here in the district.
You can sign up.
You can go actually get food on site where they cook it and eat your food on site.
You can also sign up.
There's multiple different options.
But another possibility is that they deliver food to your home for the whole week.
So totally free.
Just have to have kids under the age of 18.
And it's an opportunity to not only keep staff busy and keep them working over the summer,
but it's a good way to get their kids fed.
And save a little bit money on your budget because I don't know about you,
but my kids are always snacking during the summertime,
and the grocery bill goes through the roof.
So here's an opportunity.
Get them some food, not on your dime,
and just a healthy alternative.
So check that out.
Go to the Humboldt Unified School District page,
and you can get more information.
Or you can give a call to Pam at 928-759-0-0-17 if you need more information.
And with that being said, folks, we don't really have,
like I said, anything else going on.
So this is it.
Dad joke, not a bad joke.
What is a robot's favorite snack?
Computer chips.
All right.
Folks, have a great week.
Hope to see you out there this weekend.
