Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, everyone, October 13th, and this is Mondays with the mayor on location at the location of the future Freedom Rock. So this is just a, as you can see, a large boulder. It's just an opportunity for basically our residents. We're going to have an artist come in and they're going to basically paint the boulder, and it's going to recognize and pay tribute to the veterans of our community. So if you want to learn more about it, our Freedom Rock Committee is going to be here this Wednesday. Let me see, from 1030 to 12, they can answer all the questions. you may have. They can actually even show you some examples of what's happening and what other
Starting point is 00:00:34 communities have done for a Freedom Rock and recognizing veterans. This will be the first Veterans Freedom Rock in all of Arizona. They're very popular in the Midwest, especially Iowa. And I want you to come on down and learn more about it. And then they're also going to be at Chili's on October 21st. So if you head over to Chili's, you mentioned your server Freedom Rock and 15% of your bill will be donated to the Freedom Rock. So no taxpayer money is being used for this project. It's all volunteer driven and donation funded. So please check that out. You'll learn more about how you can purchase a veteran's brick, a paver for $100,
Starting point is 00:01:09 or you can have a business or family brick for $250. So again, all donations, if you want to recognize a veteran in your family, please come on out and learn more about it. And with that being said, we're moving on to restaurant week this week. October 17th, it starts, as we talked about last week. It's a great way to get out, explore new restaurants, and it's basically a contest, and you get to vote for your favorite restaurant in Prescott Valley. Last year's winner was Backburner. We'll see who this year's winter is.
Starting point is 00:01:37 So that will extend from October 17th to the 26th. So please check that out. And then also, folks, with October being spooky season, October 24th down at Bain Park, there will be a spooky hike. And there's two different hikes. So there's one hike for ages 11 and under. And then there's a separate hike for ages 12 and up for adult. So please check that out on our website. October 24th down at Fain Park.
Starting point is 00:02:00 So that's kind of exciting. And then speaking of what we got going on, today over at the library, it is a staff training day. So library will be closed today. We'll open up tomorrow regular hours. So please pay attention to that. What else we got October 18th?
Starting point is 00:02:16 So this Saturday, 8 to 11 over in a Nicole's parking lot, will be a car seat check. So if you want to make sure your car seat is properly installed, head on over there while firefighters, Well, police officers all trained in the installation of car seats. It takes about 20 minutes. So if you want to check on your car seat, it's between 8 and 11 this Saturday, Coles Park a lot. What else we got?
Starting point is 00:02:38 Speaking also of firefighters and police officers, this Wednesday, October 15th, from 10 until 11, theater on the green. You'll be able to hear police officers and firefighters tell stories. We'll have fire trucks out here, interact with the police officers. Great opportunity, weather bearing, the helicopter.
