Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey everyone, October 6th, and this is Mondays with the mayor. I got Parker here. Parker is a senior at North Point High School, and he is shadowing the mayor. Say hi, Parker. Hello. Good job. Here we go. This is what we got going on, folks, with Mondays with the mayor. It is, Prescott Valley Restaurant Week is October 17th to 26. We're going to talk a little bit more about that as we get a little closer, but it's an opportunity to just go out, visit some restaurants. They'll have some special deals for you. And if you go to our website, you'll be able to see all the participating. restaurants that are happening. We did it last year and it was a great event and we're doing it again this year starting October 17th. So pay attention for that. What else we got going on? A new thing
Starting point is 00:00:41 for Presby Valley is in November we are going to do hazardous waste pickup. So those are paint and oil and things like that that you normally wouldn't be able to throw away into garbage like batteries, things like that. So the way it's going to work is you go to our website during the month of October. you sign up and basically show what you're going to be disposing of, and it'll give you a process of how you're going to go about doing it, and then we'll set you for a time and a place to pick up in November. So again, go to our website, schedule a pickup, and then we'll plan on picking up hazardous waste in November. We kind of bounced around a little bit, but shout out to the staff and volunteers that put on Harvest Fest over the weekend. Great event. We had great weather, and everyone out there had an amazing time, or at least up here, to have an amazing.
Starting point is 00:01:26 time. So again, shout out to staff and volunteers that put that all together. What do we got going on? This Wednesday, a virtual neighborhood meeting for a proposed general plan amendment and zoning map change. Go to the town's website. It's right there on the front. The time is going to be from four to six. Click on the website. There'll be a link. Go and hear about the virtual neighborhood meeting. What else we got going on? Dump to Drugs, October 25th from 10 to 2 over at Frize. So if you have any prescription drugs, normally we do dump the drugs here at the police department, but this time it'll be in the parking lot or out front of fries
Starting point is 00:02:02 on October 25th from 10 to 2. And finally, this Wednesday is Family Storytime featuring Sabrina the Scarecrow from 10 to 11. So great opportunity for kids of all ages. Come on down. It'll be at the library in the crystal room. Again, from 10 to 11 this Wednesday, it's Sabrina the Scarecrow.
Starting point is 00:02:24 telling stories. So great opportunity to have a good time. And with that being said, folks, we're going to finish it up with a dad joke. Remember, it's not a bad joke. Parker, pick it away. Why don't skeletons fight each other? They don't have the guts. Good one, Parker. All right, folks. Hey, thanks for joining us. We'll see you out there.
