Hey everyone, September 15th, and it's Mondays with the mayor.
And surprise to everyone, including myself, cards, they won.
That's two games in a row.
May not last, but at least we got a streak going, so I'm proud of that.
Go cards.
And then also, not local sports, but state sports, Arizona Diamondbacks, if you're keeping
track, are only two games out of the wild card.
So about a month ago, they had a 4% chance of making the playoffs, and now they're only
two games out.
So go Diamondbacks, go cards.
what we got tonight we got over at brachal mountain high school
powder puff game starts tonight as well that's when the
the girls play each other and then also we have
a bonfire starting tonight as well so if you see smoke over
over by brachal mountain high school be aware it is also going to have food trucks
open to the public go on over support the brachal mountain bears
and then with that being said this friday is also homecoming game versus mingus
so during the game i want you
all to be prepared that there's going to be multiple times that fireworks are going to go off.
So if you hear some explosions and you're inside your house and didn't quite see the fireworks,
that's what's happening.
So again, this Friday versus Mingus, I believe it starts at 7 p.m.
There will be fireworks after or during the show as well as after.
So check that out if you're out there.
So go bears.
This Wednesday coffee with a cop over at Orchard Branch.
The times are from 1 to 2.30.
So check them out.
They're located at 11, 2.5.
State Route 69. So they have a clubhouse right in the center there. Go out there. If you want to chat with the police officers, meet new people, or just let them know how things are going. Great opportunity to mingle. Again, next or this Wednesday from 1 to 2.30.
Keeping on the same theme. We also have this Saturday from 8 to 11, Coles parking lot. Car seat checks. So again, you have an opportunity. You have a car seat. Want to check out. Head on over there. It takes about 20 minutes. So it's this Saturday from 8 until 11.
and kind of bouncing around a little bit.
Shout out and thank you to everyone that came out last Thursday to the 9-11 ceremony.
And a shout out to Pilar Henry and her team of volunteers who were able to put together the entire Patriot Week this week or last week.
And it's a lot of work and a lot of basically dedication and work goes into it all throughout the entire year.
So again, shout out to Pilar Henry.
You guys did a great job.
And finishing we have next Sunday from 1 to 5 Mountain 5, Mountain.
Valley Park underneath the pavilion is Puenta de la Kumudad. It's a great Hispanic event involving
the community and the police department. There's dancing, there's music, there's a DJ, there's food,
and it's just an awesome opportunity to get out, great weather, and meet some people you don't know,
and celebrate the day. So again, next Sunday from one to five years. And then, shout out on a
personal note. Today's my anniversary. Aubrey Lynn has been married to me for what is 13 years,
is insane so shout out to her I love you appreciate you sticking by and allowing me to do
mayor stuff so again appreciate you and we'll finish out with a joke dad joke not a bad
joke why did the cookie go to the hospital it's because they felt crummy folks have a great week
