Hey, everyone, September 22nd, and it's Mondays with the mayor.
I was hoping that we'd be doing a Cardinal shout-out, but that didn't happen in typical Cardinal Fair.
But I am going to shout out, Bradshaw Mountain High School football,
tweaked out a nail-biter on Homecoming last Friday, 59-0 over Mingus.
So shout-up, go bears, great job.
And let's dive into what we got coming on.
October 4th is our Harvest Festival from 11 to 4, right out here in between the police department,
town hall. It's basically bounce houses, food trucks, you know, events for the kids, show up,
free of that. It's a great time. So again, October 4th, 11 to 4, right outside town hall.
Next up, Prescott Valley Community Meeting next Tuesday, September 30th, 6 p.m. Crystal Room over at the
library. Basically, it's an opportunity for you to listen to staff. It's about an hour-long meeting,
and they present on things from the Wildlife Corridor, Water Conservation Initiatives, Economic Development,
the police department's there.
And again, you get to ask the department
had some questions.
And it's very informal.
Great way to get some information.
So again, next Tuesday, 6 o'clock
over at the Crystal door.
We are coming up this Friday,
movie Under the Stars.
The movie this week is Wicked.
Starts at 645.
We'll go until 9 p.m.
Again, free event.
Just bring some blanket or chair.
Might want to bring something to keep warm.
You can bring food.
Great time.
Free.
This Friday, the movie,
at 645 to 9.
And then the following day on Saturday,
we went from movie under the stars
to music on the green.
Six to nine, the band playing
will be the offbeats, and they are
a rock and roll theme band. So if you want to come to
another great event, listen to some good music,
have a good time, six to nine, next
Saturday.
What else we got going on?
Although in Prescott, still a great cause,
if you want to support, you have a college
veteran scholarship next
Saturday, starting at 2 p.m.
at Jersey Lilies on Whiskey Row.
Basically, you buy a $10 ticket.
You get some tacos, gets entered into a raffle,
and all the money and all the proceeds go to the EFite College Veterans Scholarship.
It's put on by the Prescott Regulators and the Prescott Shady Ladies.
Great event for a great cost.
This Friday, folks, I will, or not this Friday, this Wednesday, I'll be at fries.
From 11 to 1, basically the pop-up asked the mayor event.
I'll be there mainly over buying for the Desert Financial,
and I'll have a table set up.
And if you have any questions, you come on by.
We usually average about 40 to 50 people every time I show up, asking great questions or having great comments.
I look forward to hearing from you if you have anything going on in your neighborhood.
Again, this Wednesday, 11-1, over at Frizon, Glassford.
And, folks, for our final joke, remember, it's a dad joke, not a bad joke.
Why did the apple pie go to the dentist?
It needed a filling.
All right, folks, hey, remember, it's a dad joke, not bad.
We'll see you out there.
Have a great week.
