Hey everyone. It is September 29th, and this is Mondays with Mayor. Hopefully you all are dried out, or at least trying to dry out from the weekend, which is pretty amazing with all the rain we got. So let's just dive right into what we got. We have Harvest Festival this Saturday, this Saturday, right outside in between the police department, town hall, library, all that stuff. It's free event, bounce houses, fun stuff for the kids, show up, like I said, between 11 to 4 this Saturday. And speaking of this Saturday, also, we have an event that is going on at the library, which is called.
Po Fest. And you couldn't figure it out, has to do with Edgar Allan Poe. And they are going to be
a theater group coming in and they're going to be doing performances of the Raven and of a Lee,
a dream within a dream. So basically it's a fun time for teens and adults. So no registration,
event, it's totally free. But just remember, though, we do have Harvard Festival going on. So
parking, give you some time, give yourself some time to find some parking. So then again,
this Saturday, October 4th, one to two, inside the library auditorium or the town council
chambers right there. So fun time. What do we got going on tomorrow? We talked about this.
We have from 6 o'clock community meeting over at the crystal room. Basically, it goes from
six to seven and we'll have town staff present. And they do probably about a five to seven minute
presentation about what they do, whether it's the police department, water resources, town manager,
economic development. And the residents have an opportunity to interact, ask some questions
that they want. Again, it starts at 6 o'clock. Usually runs 6 to 7. There's time for some questions
afterwards, or actually even during the presentation.
So look forward to seeing you there.
Also, this Wednesday is Take Back the Night in reference domestic violence awareness
month being October.
So starting at 5 o'clock at the theater on the green right outside, and it will be an event
bringing awareness to domestic violence.
So if you have an opportunity, please come to that.
And then also, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thus the pink swag for Prescott
Valley, all month, we'll be bringing awareness to that as well. So please check that out. And, of course,
if you have any other questions, go to our website. There's always some great information on there.
There's a calendar of events. Click on it and see what it's happening for the week and the month.
And with that being said, folks, short and sweet today, here's our dad joke. Not a bad joke.
What has ears, but can't hear a thing. A porn field. All right, folks, have a great day. Have a great week. We'll see you out there.
