Hey, everyone. Monday's with the mayor, September 8th. Hope you had an amazing weekend.
First off, we don't get to do this very often, but we get to celebrate a cards win yesterday,
first of the season, meaning we are still in first place. It might not be for long, but nonetheless,
shout out to the cards. With that being said, we're going to dive right into this week is the
Healing Fields. So we have our Patriot Day ceremony on 9-11 at 6 p.m. right outside Town Hall and the
police department. And if you've driven by in the past few days, you've noticed over 3,000 flags
out in the field commemorating the events that happened on 9-11. So please head on out there,
6 p.m. on 9-11. And with that being said, town council meeting, which we normally have that
starts at 5.30, will be starting this week at 3 p.m. So if you're wishing to tune in or attend,
the time has been moved up to 3 p.m. What else we got going on? We have the light.
of PV Award. Basically, this is an award for someone, a Prescott Valley resident that has done
something good throughout the year and they get recognized at our state of the town event in January.
So if you know anyone and you'd like to nominate them, please reach out. We're accepting nominations
until October 15th. So think about someone that's maybe done a lot of work to make Prescott
a little bit better. They should be recognized. So again, light of PV Award, looking for
nominations. Saturday, September 20th, from 8 to 11, over in the Coles parking lot.
We have another car seat check. So if you want to head on over there, bring your car seat.
We have members from the police department, the fire department. They're there. It takes
about 20 minutes to just make sure that your car seat is properly installed. So head on over
September 20th from 8th until 11. Also, September and October is our payment preservation.
program. So this is when our roads are going to be getting improved. And this week, we have
overnight road closures, which are occurring from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Wednesday,
September 10th to Thursday, September 11th. So those roads are going to be Bradshaw Mountain Road
between Highway 69 and Turquish Circle. Robert Road between Highway 69 and the Furnage Road,
just south of 69. Windsong Drive between Highway 69 and Florentine and Florentine Road between
Robert Road and Navajo Drive.
So there will be zero access at those points.
So you're going to have to,
there'll be signs up for detours,
but just be aware going into it
that those roads will be closed for the evening.
And if you like to,
head on over to the town's website.
And also, if you go to the public works page,
click on a button there.
You'll be able to see the specific roads
that are scheduled.
And then there's a main tab on the website,
the landing page,
and now take you to it as well,
see what roads are being worked on
and what the schedule is for that.
And of course, you can always call us, contact us if you've gotten a notice in the mail,
and we'll kind of give you some more details if you need them.
So with that being said, folks, we're finishing up.
It's a dad show.
Why can't Mondays lift Saturdays?
Because it's a weekday.
We're weak, not strong.
Come on, folks, it's going.
We'll see you out there.
