2024 season heading into the new 2025 season.
As of February 21st, 2025, the Ranglers have resigned seven key contributors from their team in
24 who will return for the 2025 season.

players have resigned on the offensive side of the ball. The Wranglers have brought back the following
defensive players for 2025, defensive back Malik Sanier, defensive back Lummi Young 4, linebacker Kalin Hicks,
and defensive lineman Mason Newton. The players returning for the Wrangler's offense will be
wide receiver David Elder, wide receiver Deshawn Stottemeyer, and defensive lineman Chris
Simon. Northern Arizona is thrilled to have seven returning members of their 2024 team to
learn under the guidance of their new and experienced coaching staff.
veteran players returning with a mix of young rookies in the IFL will bode well for the organization.
The Wranglers will be led by a two-time arena football league coach of the year, head coach Ron James.
The Wrangler's offense will be led by offensive coordinator Sia Burley,
and the defensive coordinator for Northern Arizona is Larry Hendricks.
The Wrangler's first game of the season will be Saturday, March 29th, against the Fisher's freight.
Fissures will be playing their first game as an IFL franchise in Prescott Valley, Arizona,
at the Finley Toyuah Center.
The theme of the Wrangler's first game is our community.
This game is all about our local fans and members of Prescott Valley, who keep the Ranglers going.
We will be hosting valuable guests in our community, including Prescott Valley Mayor Kelpal
Guta.
Tickets are available to attend the highly anticipated season opener at home.
The Ranglers players will report to Prescott Valley for training camp on March 14th.
Defensive back Malik Sanyae.
Defensive back Malik Sanjay was the Wrangler's leading tackler on their defensive squad in
24 as he notched 69.5 total tackles.
Sonye is a hard-hitting defensive back who flies around the field.
In 2024, Sanjay also recorded 8.5 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries,
one interception, and one forced fumble.
Sonier will aim to continue his growth in the indoor football league after having a dominant
rookie season.
Sunier returns for his second season in both the eye.

Defensive back Lummy Young 4.
Defensive back Lummi Young 4 also returns for his second year with the Wranglers and in the
IFL.
Last season, Young 4 appeared in seven games for the Wranglers, posted 23 total tackles,
two for loss, and recorded a tackle in the end zone for a safety.
Young 4 was among a group of stout defensive backs and made plays consistently on the field.
Young 4 looks to continue to develop his skills in the IFL and keep making an impact for
the Ranglers. Linebacker Kaelin Hicks. Linebacker Kailen Hicks is a returning
IFL veteran who played for the Ranglers in both 2024 and 2021. Hicks spent time with the Vegas
night hocks before returning to the Ranglers organization in 2024. Hicks appeared in seven
games for the Ranglers last season and recorded 22.5 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss,
1.5 sacks, and one blocked kick. Hicks was a staple on the Rangler's defense in 2024 and
remains a valuable member of the Prescott Valley community. Hicks brings his veteran and
leadership presence back to the Wranglers' locker room for 2025. Defensive lineman Mason Newton
Newton is another veteran returning to the Wranglers. The Wranglers acquired Newton from the Duke
City Gladiators after a trade ahead of the 2024 season. Newton spent two seasons with the
gladiators and immediately made an impact with Northern Arizona. In his first game with the Wranglers,
Newton blocked a field goal against his former team.
From the interior of the defensive line,
Newton racked up 14.5 total tackles,
five tackles for loss, one sack, and one fumble recovery.
Newton will continue to add to his IFL resume in his second season with Northern Arizona.
Wide receiver David Elder
Wide receiver David Elder returns for his second season with the Wranglers and in the
IFL.
Elder was a spark glove for the Wrangler's offense in 2024,
as he provided an explosive element to the
the offense with his speed and shift the ability. Elder hauled 47 receptions for 333 yards and
six total touchdowns. Elder also tallied 107 rushing yards and proved to be a hard player to tackle
in open space. Elder was signed to the Northern Arizona roster after showcasing his skills
at an open player tryout in 2024. Elder returns to the Wranglers for the 2025 season and
looks to make more plays in year two with the team. Wide receiver Deshawn Stottemeyer
Wide receiver Deshawn Stottemeyer returns to the Wranglers for his second season in the
IFL as well. Stottomire joined the team late in their 2024 season and made an impact in the
Wrangler's final game of the year. Stademeyer's first catch in a Wrangler's uniform was a touchdown
against the Duke City Gladiators. In just one game, Stottomire easily became a heavily
targeted receiver for Northern Arizona. Stadamire caught eight passes for 64 yards and one
touchdown. Stademeyer looks to build on this performance and develop as a wide receiver as he
enters his first full season for the Ranglers. Offensive lineman Chris Simon
Offensive lineman Chris Simon was a rock solid member of the Ranglers offensive line, starting in 14
games. Simon is an excellent run blocker and is great in pass protection as well.
Simon was a consistent player who provided the offense with exceptional offensive line play.
Line of scrimmage control is a major piece of offensive success in the IFL.
Simon brings continuity back to the Wrangler's offensive line, where offensive success can begin and end.
Simon will be aiming for another great season with Northern Arizona and help the offense develop under their new coaching staff.
