With Independence Day around the corner, many city services close in honor of the holiday.
Below is your quick reference list for all the city closures happening in the City of Phoenix.
Here's how city services are affected.
City of Phoenix offices will be closed Friday, July 4th, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Solid waste collection.
Curbside collection will not change during the week of Independence Day.
Trash and recycling collection will happen as regularly scheduled on Independence Day.
Transfer stations, both the 27th Avenue and North Gateway Transfer Stations will be closed on Friday, July 4th.
Public Works Customer Contact Center
The Customer Contact Center will be closed on Friday, July 4th.
It will reopen at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 7th.

Library
In observance of Independence Day,
all Phoenix Public Library locations except Kula, Harman, and Yucca Libraries will be closed.
Kula, Harmon, and Yucca libraries are offering extended full-service library hours
as part of the city of Phoenix's heat relief efforts and will be open on Independence Day, July 4th, from noon to 10 p.m.

All parking meters are enforced from a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, including weekends and holidays.
Parks and recreation facilities. City of Phoenix Community Centers will be closed on Friday,
July 4th for the holiday. Parks and trails will be open for regular hours, but please review
take a hike. Do it right. Safety Guidelines before visiting a trail.
Sadae Vaki Museum is temporarily.
closed for renovations. The museum is expected to reopen fall 2025. Learn more. Public transit,
both bus and light rail will operate on a Sunday schedule on Friday, July 4th. There is no
express or rapid bus service and customer services closed. The following public transit centers

Dial a ride service will be available, by reservation, between 5 a.m. to 11,000.
