The city of Prescott has released unofficial results from the August 5th primary election,
as reported by the Yavapai County Elections Office.
A total of 16,458 ballots were cast in this year's municipal election,

Prescott Mayor Race, Rusing elected.
In the race for mayor, Kathy Rusing emerged as the clear winner with 9,520,
votes, defeating Brandon Montoya, who received 6,350 votes. Rusing will succeed current mayor
Phil Good and officially begin her term following the certification of election results later
this month. Prescott City Council results, two declared, one seat headed to runoff. Voters were
tasked with choosing three City Council members to serve four-year terms. According to Prescott's
City Charter, a candidate must receive a majority of all valid ballots cast to be elected outright.
Unofficial results indicate that Mary Frederickson, 8,262, and Robert Jim Garing, 8,252,
votes, have secured two of the three available seats. The third seat remains undecided.
Neither Henry Ebbard 2, 6,561 votes, nor J. Ruby, 7,183 votes, secured enough votes to claim a majority.
As a result, a runoff election will be held in November between Ruby and Ebbab to determine the final council member.
