The city of Prescott and their contractor, Sunland Asphalt and Construction,
are currently working on a pavement preservation and maintenance project along Prescott Lakes Parkway,
between SR 89 and SR-89, and along SR-89, between Yov-Pay connector and the Willow Lake Road roundabout.
To expedite completion of the project and minimize the impact to the traveling public, residents, and businesses,
a portion of the work along SR 89 will be completed at night.
Detailed information about the upcoming work schedule and related traffic impacts are below.
Schedule and traffic impacts.
Prescott Lakes Parkway, from SR 89 to SR 69.
Complete, asphalt milling and preparation work.
Complete, pavement repairs.
September 24th to September 29th, day work, two-step pavement preservation application.
September 29th.
Night work, pavement preservation within the Prescott Lakes Parkway Roundabout. This work requires a full
closure of Prescott Lakes Parkway between Walmart and SR 89 for the night. S.R. 89, from Yov-Pay
connector to the Willow Lake Road roundabout. Complete, pavement repairs. September 23rd and September 24th,
day work, pavement preservation along the left lanes of SR 89 in both directions. This work requires
partial closures of driveway entrances along SR 89 and the SR 89 slash Yafpay connector and
SR 89 slash Prescott Lakes Parkway intersections while we pave through each intersection.
The intersections will be open for right turn-ins and right turnouts only during this work.
Once paving is complete in an intersection, it will be reopened for full turning movements.
September 25th, night work, pavement preservation along the turn lanes of SR 89 in both directions.
This work requires a full closure of driveway enterning.
along SR 89, the SR 89 slash Yoppa connector and SR 89 slash Prescott Lakes Parkway intersections for each
night. Deter routes will be available. Please follow the marked signage. September 30th and October
1st, night work, pavement preservation within the Willa Lake Road roundabout. This work requires a
partial closure of certain turning movements within the roundabout each night. October 1st and
October 2, night work, pavement preservation along the right lanes of SR 89 in both directions.
This work requires a full closure of driveway entrances along SR 89, the SR 89 slash Yoppa connector
and SR 89 slash Prescott Lakes Parkway intersections for each night. Deter routes will be
available. Please follow the marked signage. During this work you can expect. Cruise working
Monday through Friday during both day and night hours. Deter routes, flagging operations, and
and temporary traffic control changes.
Crews will work to maintain business access as best as possible.
Temporary street and intersection closures.
Lane restrictions.
Reduce speeds.
Construction noise.
Travel delays.
New roadway striping once complete.
