We are fortunate to have a number of veterans who take time to volunteer for the rodeo and rodeo grounds events throughout the year, serving as goodwill ambassadors and helping preserve our Western lifestyle through education. US Army veteran Jim Myers is a PFD member who has generously volunteered his time for many years. When asked about his various activities, Jim said, of course, rodeo, I've also been a member of Lions clubs for 50 years in 2025. I am involved in a few church committees, and I interview heroes for the Veterans Historical Project where I make a video of veterans talking about their service years. I send it off to the Library of Congress for future viewing by family members

U.S. Navy veteran Jack Barry was assigned to the Naval Security Group, Navsacru, in Morocco in 1971 to 1972, which was part of the National Security Agency Central Security Service. Navsacru was tasked with intelligence gathering through signal intelligence and cryptology, along with denial of intelligence to adversaries. Jack has served many years and various roles for PFD, such as beverage distribution volunteer, PFD director, awards chairman, photography chairman, and PFD Foundation board member. Since so many of our veterans attend the monthly rodeo meetings, we were able to catch up with many of these active individuals for a group photo and listing of their service organizations.
