Jim Dewey Brown, General Manager of Prescott Frontier Days, World's oldest rodeo, is proud to announce that PF is hosting the Grand Canyon Regional finale, GCRF, for College Rodeo May 2nd and 3rd, 2025.
This is the first time the college rodeo will be held at the Prescott Rodeo grounds.
A cornhole tournament to benefit the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund will be held during the College Rodeo Grand Canyon Regional finale on Saturday, May 3rd.
3rd. Advance registration is required. For two-person teams, registration is $100, with youth,
under 17, and National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, NIRA, members at $50 per team. The tournament
games start at noon. Many of these student athletes in the GCRF will compete in the
Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, become leaders within the rodeo and Western industry,
and help ensure the future of rodeo and the Western way of life. The NERA, a 501,
C4 nonprofit organization, sanctions this event, which allows over 3,000 college rodeo athletes to
earn an education while still having the opportunity to compete in their respective rodeo events.
The Grand Canyon region is made up of eight colleges across Arizona and New Mexico that are
NERA members. Contestants compete against one another during the fall at various rodeos across
both states to qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming.
The GCRF will hold 6 p.m. performances both nights.
You'll see these exceptional young athletes compete in bareback, saddle bronc, breakaway roping, barrel
racing, tie-down roping, bull riding, goat tying, team roping, steer wrestling, and mini bull riding.
Visit www.orgiotit.com slash world's oldest rodeo Grand Canyon Regional finale for tickets,
which are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 years and under.
Vendors, various food options, and a beer garden will also be available.
