users. It follows guidance from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, ADEQ, and aligns with
the city's lake management plan. This treatment helps protect Watson Lake So families can enjoy it
safely for fishing, kayaking, and other fun activities, said Josephine Marissa, Addix Water Quality
Division Deputy Director. Cleaner water means fewer algae blooms, a healthier environment for fish
and wildlife, and better protection for public health. During treatment, a small pontoon will
travel across the lake and apply the product as a cloudy liquid slurry. To ensure the best results,
the city asks lake users to avoid the boat's path and wake. The lake will be open with no
restrictions on fishing or recreation during treatment. The city expects to complete the treatment
in two days. For more information, call Prescott Public Works at 928-7771-1130.
