The town of Prescott Valley is soliciting applicants for a town council member position that has become vacant due to the recent resignation of council member Bill Williams, effective May 1st, 2025.
ARS Section 9 to 235A provides that the council fills such vacancies by appointment until the next regularly scheduled council election.
The appointed term will run through December 2026. The incumbent may choose to run in the August 2026, 116,
to fulfill the remaining two years of the original term.
Applicants must have been registered voters in the town of Prescott Valley for at least one
year prior to the appointment and be over 18 years of age.
Applications must be received no later than 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 20, 2025.

application, request one by emailing clerk at Prescottvalleyauze.gov, or download a printable
application from Signalsauz.com. Completed applications may be submitted electronically or
delivered in person to Town Clerk's Office 7501 East Scug Boulevard. Prescott Valley, Arizona,
86314. All applications received will be reviewed during an executive session meeting on Thursday,
May 22, 2025. Following this review, the council will select three finalists to participate in public
interviews at a special town council meeting on Thursday, May 29, 2025. Prescott Valley has a
council manager form of government. This means elected council members are responsible for making
policy decisions on town matters while the town manager is responsible for carrying out those
decisions. The mayor and council members also serve as the board of directors for several
community facilities districts. The town council meets routinely at least three times per month
for public meetings, at least one study session in the afternoon and two regular meetings in the evening,
inside the Prescott Valley Library Auditorium, Council Chambers. The mayor and council members also
attend other day and evening public meetings, hearings, and activities, and are assigned to various
committees. Council members are compensated at a rate of $700 per month and qualify for health
