The 14th annual Prescott Valley Healing Field will once again honor the memory of the victims of the September 11th, 2001, attacks with a moving display of nearly 3,000 American flags.
The display will run from Friday, September 5th to Friday, September 12th, 2025, on the lawn of the Prescott Valley Town Center, located at 7501 East Scoob Boulevard, creating a powerful and healing environment for residents and visitors alike.
A poignant blessing of the field ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 9.30 a.m. at the Prescott Valley Civic Center Amphitheater.
This tradition honors the 3,000 lives lost, including 343 firefighters, 72 law enforcement officers, and 55 military personnel, with a placing of the boot tribute.
The ceremony will feature the presentation of colors by the Central Arizona Honor Guard and Pipes and Drums Band, the National Anthem, a speaker, the blessing, and closing,
Marks. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets. On Thursday, September 11th,
2025, the town of Prescott Valley will host its 14th annual Patriot Day ceremony at 6 p.m. at the Prescott
Valley Civic Center amphitheater. This solemn event honors those who lost their lives, and those who
bravely sacrificed theirs, in the 2001 attacks. The ceremony welcomes the public to attend and encourages
guests to bring chairs or blankets for seating on the lawn. The healing field display invites reflection
on loss, unity, and the enduring spirit of the community.
As years pass and fewer individuals remain who witness that day firsthand, this annual tribute
becomes increasingly vital in preserving memory and passing its meaning to new generations.
Residents and volunteers are encouraged to participate, whether by attending, helping with
setup, or contributing to fundraising and outreach. The healing field also offers a student
essay contest, volunteer opportunities, and donation options to support the ongoing tradition.
