2026 promises to be another big year for events and activities at the Prescott Rodeo grounds.
There's something for everyone, from highlighting youth rodeos to honoring our country's heritage and events promoting our Western way of life.
In January, Prescott Frontier Days will begin the traditional campaigns to find vendors, sponsors, and junior ambassadors to share in the excitement of participating in our world-famous events.
February is the start of ticket sales. In addition to regular ticket sales, this year we will
feature a one week, in-person only opportunity. More details to come. Remember to purchase your
tickets from world's oldest rodeo.com. Only tickets purchased directly through our official
ticketing platform rodeo ticket.com are guaranteed. In February, PFD will also officially announce
the theme for the 139th Prescott Frontier Days, World's oldest rodeo and will celebrate 250 years of
freedom. In April, the Grand Canyon Regional Finals for College Rodeo returns to Prescott in this
National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association sponsored event and features over 3,000 student
athletes from eight colleges across Arizona and New Mexico. In addition, PFD will announce the recipients
of the fourth annual junior ambassador program. This new team will be learning the ropes right
away and you'll see them in action during the rodeo. May features the continuation of youth
rodeo programs and Prescott will showcase high school and junior student athletes who give
their all to their sports. These programs include the Arizona High School Rodeo Association
finals that promote high school and junior rodeo on a statewide scale, while encouraging
students to improve their education in the Arizona Junior Rodeo Association finals for ages
4 to 18. This program helps build interest, understanding, and appreciation for the Western
life, teach responsibility, sportsmanship, hard work, and family involvement. Our main event,
the 139th World's Oldest Rodeo, will be held June 29th to July 5th, 2026. You'll see a spectacular
rodeo that showcases our country's 250th anniversary, along with old friends, new acts, and
plenty of action. For additional information and to learn more about the world's oldest
rodeo, check out the website at www.W.W.worldsoldestrodeo.com. Stay tuned for information on the
final six months of the year at the Prescott Rodeo grounds and have a happy and prosperous new year.
