The city of Sedona welcomes Guillermo Gonzalez as the new Transportation Services Manager
following a nationwide recruitment process.
Gonzalez will begin his new role with the city on June 8, 2026, and will oversee the
city's transit, parking and multimodal transportation programs, including operations coordination,
contract administration, regional partnerships, grants management and strategic mobility initiatives.
Gonzalez brings more than 10 years of progressive public transportation leadership experience,
most recently serving as paratransit services contract manager for the City of Phoenix.
In that role, he managed multi-million dollar service contracts,
oversaw grant administration and compliance, coordinated regional mobility partnerships
and supported long-range transportation planning.
Prior to joining the City of Phoenix, Gonzalez held leadership positions with Valley Metro
and the Imperial County Transportation Commission, where he managed mobility programs,
A-D-A- and Paratransit services, public outreach initiatives and operational performance programs.
His experience includes oversight of federal grant programs, technology implementation,
contract management and coordination with regional and community stakeholders.
Gonzalez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from San Diego State University.
