Long before Monument Valley in Tucson became Hollywood Stables, Prescott served as the original
backdrop for the rise of Western cinema. The event will be led by Dr. Stuart Rosebrook,
executive director of the museum and an expert in Western film history, who will highlight
Prescott's influence on the genre's global impact. Attendees will journey through the region's
early filmmaking days and its lasting contributions to popular culture.
The lecture will take place at the Charlotte Hall Museum in Prescott, with tickets priced at $15 for the public and $10 for members.

Kingman to install 3,500 smart water meters.
The city of Kingman's Public Works Department is launching a grant-funded project to install 3,500 new smart water meters in the Butler and new Kingman-slash-butler areas.
The initiative will improve the city's water infrastructure by automating meter readings and increasing accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
Reliability. Work begins November 10, 2025, and will continue for about 206 days, with completion
expected by May 30, 2026. Temporary water service interruptions may occur, but residents will be
notified at least one week in advance. Funded entirely by a grant, the project modernizes

Prescott's YRMC expands with Advanced Simulation Lab. Dignity Health Yavapy
Regional Medical Center, YRMC, has opened a new state-of-the-art simulation lab at its
West Campus in Prescott, enhancing clinical education opportunities. The lab supports medical
students, new nurses, and current staff through realistic, scenario-based training that covers
a range of medical emergencies. Equipped with dual-angle cameras, it allows participants
to review their performance and identify areas for improvement. YRMC President and CEO Dr. Anthony
Torres highlighted the lab's value in providing a low-stress learning environment.

historic schoolhouse on State Route 89. The event will give residents the chance to engage directly with
with Yavapai County officials and learn more about county operations.
Representatives from development services, public works, community health services, and the sheriff's
office will be present to answer questions. The meeting encourages open dialogue between
citizens and local government. The event is sponsored by the People's Valley Fire District.
