The Yavapai baseball team came out to Rough Rider Park today with fierce intensity as the team
swept the visiting spirit of Ottawa University of Arizona in today's double header,

of the seventh inning to win the game for the home team, winning 13 to 10. The second game was a 27-0
shutout victory, one of the higher-scoring Yavapai baseball wins in recent history. While Yavapai was
able to knock down five homers in this game, the win could not have been done without excellent
pitching from Owen Fernandez. The sophomore pitched four innings, allowed zero runs, walked none,
and struck out seven. Game one. As stated above, Yavapai was down for the majority of this game,
until a late offensive push from the Rough Riders led to a six-run final inning and a walk-off grand slam from Carter Brown.
Brown had not one but two dingers in this game, bringing his total on the season to seven.
Garrison also hit a home run in this game.
Other offensive efforts came from Parker Halverson, who hit a clutch triple in the final frame to bring two runners home, as well as doubles from Matthew Peterson and Dalton Irwin.
