Yavapai College invites you to see the emerging and the amazing at its 2024 fall-juried student art exhibition,
November 22nd through December 20th at YC's Prescott Campus Gallery in the gym and Linda Lee Performing Arts Center.
In 65 works, including paintings, drawings, printmaking, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture and lapidary,
Yavapai College's art students cover the Prescott Gallery with the display of surprising
thematic diversity and undeniable talent. The works were selected from a field of more than 150
submissions, honed by juror and Copper Mountain College Art Professor Chloe Alred.
A painter, writer, and educator, Chloe Allred's work has been featured in Orange Coast magazine,
Hoffington Post, USA Today, and the BBC. She is a contributing artist and writer for the book,
We Believe You, published by Henry Holt in 2016. The cover artist,
for the Poetry Collection Preposition, published by Undercurrent in 2021, and a tenure track art
professor at Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree. In addition to her work on the exhibition,
Alrid will host an art talk at the gallery on Wednesday, December 11th, from 1 to 2 p.m.,
where she will discuss her own work and her experiences balancing art and career. The talk is free
and will also be available on Zoom. On Saturday, December 14th, the gallery will host a closing
reception from 4 to 7 p.m. that includes an awards ceremony and an end-of-semester celebration.
Live music and food trucks from Oogie's hot dogs and Jibby's Roadhouse will be on hand to
help ring out the year in style. Yavapai College's 2024 fall juried student exhibition runs
November 22nd through December 20th at YC's Prescott Campus Art Gallery, Inside the Gym and Linda
Lee Performing Arts Center, 1,100 East Sheldon Street, Prescott. Admission is free. The gallery is open
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Closing reception is December 14th, from 4 to 7 p.m.
