Hey everybody, welcome back to Signals News podcast. Today I have Sarah and you are the business development
manager. Yes, that's correct for Yellowstone Landscaping. Tell us a little bit about Yellowstone
Landscaping and what you do. Yellowstone landscaping has been around for about 25 years. We are in about
18 states. We have four locations here in Arizona. They are located in Tucson, El Mirage, Chandler,
and up here in Prescott Valley. So you guys, pretty new to the Prescott Valley area.
You've been around here for a little while?
We have been in the Prescott Valley area for about three years.
And the last year, so we've really started making a mark and we're continuing to.
So you guys are a little different because when I think landscape companies, I think,
oh, I call them and they come and do my pavers or they, you know, do my weeds.
Sorry, you guys are a little different because you're very, you're commercial.
And you guys are the ones that are responsible for, and I always wonder, who makes this,
you know, when you're driving through an HOA or, you know, a pronghorn,
ranch or somebody like that. It's always like, how do they keep up with all of this?
And I just think there's these really nice people that walk around and pick up, you know,
weeds as they're walking. That's not true. No, that's not us. We have, we focus on the maintenance
of the actual property. So when you have a large HOA property, we go out to make sure all the
common areas are taken care of, the sidewalks are taken care of, the trees are lifted to our minimum
standards, and that the weeds are taken care of. We just go through to make sure that everything is
taking care with a fine tooth comb and looks beautiful. So when you guys are looking like you get a new
HOA, what are some of the things that you look for? I mean, just things that probably we wouldn't even
realize need to be done. Right. So once we get in the door with a new HOA, we meet with the account
manager, our superintendent, along with the property manager, and sometimes the HOA board president.
And what we do is we meet with them every 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days for the first three months to make sure we're all on the same page and everything's going to contract.
And at the end of the 90 days, we also give a budget of what we've seen throughout those first 30 days or 90 days.
And we'll let them know, hey, you guys might want to consider doing some color over here with maybe these type of plants.
You might want to add some riprap over here to enhance this area.
And maybe your signage could use a little bit more updating.
And so we could do this over there.
So what we do is we can give a full budget for a full year.
And then the president and the property manager can go to the board and say,
we'd like to have this, this, and this done.
And then all you have to do is just let us know what you want to do.
And we can schedule that.
Well, I always think about too with HOA's that's like you're paying into it.
So there should be a level of expectation as a homeowner.
you know, when you're driving through the neighborhood, things need to be kept up. And, you know,
you don't want potholes in the middle of your road and you don't want overgrown this or, like you said,
just the clearance of the trees. Because there's a tree out here in my parking lot that attacks me
every day. And I probably shouldn't be cutting through there, but I do. I park out inside and then
cut through and, like, todge the trees. Yeah, our goal is not to have people's eyes poked out.
Appreciate it. Well, and I would imagine that, too, if, you know, if you're looking at an HOA or
looking at a home and it's up to cap and everything is nice, you know, it helps with the property
values and it helps with the, you know, being able to rent the homes at a higher dollar or
resell value of your home. Right. One of the things that people do forget about is when exactly
what you said. When you drive up to a property, when you're looking at a property, the landscape
is mostly what you see right away. And that can if you either make it or break it for you. And when
you have landscape that is unkept, you just kind of go, hmm, where are all the funds going for the
HOA?
Or if this is unkept, what else is?
What's underlying?
And we want to make sure that's all taken care of.
And so as a homeowner, your responsibility is obviously your house in your yard.
But then, you know, I just, I never thought about, you know, off the, you know, once I get out of
my driveway, but there's people that are getting all that done.
And that's why you get to hire Yellowstone Landscape to be your professional.
professional I. We will go through with our little eyes and find out how we can help improve. And we can be very cost-effective. And like I mentioned, we can do budgets. We can do quarterly cleanups. We can do all sorts of things that are going to be able to help with the fundage of the HOA and make sure that the fees are going accordingly and appropriately. So yeah, our little professional eyes are kind of what we pride ourselves on. That's awesome. So you guys do HOA's apartment complexes? Yes, we do.
senior living facilities. We like to do big commercial buildings, health facilities.
Okay. What about like the strip malls and things like that? Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. You give it to us and we'll make sure that you're proud. We strive on our excellence.
So if I'm a property manager or somebody with HOA, how do we get a hold of you?
Oh, you can go ahead and reach me at 623-466-3725 or a very easy email address of S-L.
Ragland at Yellowstone Landscape.com.
That's R-A-G-L-A-N-D.
Yes, ma'am.
Lucky.
Mine has every vowel in it, and everybody mixes them up all the time.
And that is Yellowstone Landscaping, and best to just give you a call and have you come out.
And so when they call you, you send out a crew or you send out somebody to kind of check the area first.
So when I get a phone call, first thing I'll do is ask what you're looking for, and then we will go ahead and meet up at the property.
And we will go ahead and submit a quest, a quote, excuse me.
And we'll go from there.
Once we win the property, we'll make sure that we do our best in excellence in service and communication.
Awesome.
Sarah, giving them your phone number one more time.
Again, it's 623-466-3725.
Perfect.
Thank you so much for coming in today.
And just I had no idea.
There was different landscapers for different things.
And I just assumed, you know, when I drove through those beautiful neighborhoods,
that it just was magic and just made it awesome. Also, are you guys hiring?
We are. Okay. We are hiring. We have a few positions open, yes.
Perfect. So if you're looking for landscaping, I think some office stuff to give Sarah a call and she'll point you in the right direction.
Absolutely. Thank you so much. You're welcome. Guys, we'll see you next time.
