Starting point is 00:00:31 Biter to Engelska When you will Prata Svanska Or you can't beiter to English Or you
Starting point is 00:00:40 can't generally Undviker and to Prata Svanska For that you Knewnernervous
Starting point is 00:00:51 RADD It can't TELMET There's many Negatible Chensolus that are related to
Starting point is 00:01:01 self-fetroending in to speak of Spanish and when it comes to to talk so is
Starting point is 00:01:12 actually self-fetroende much, much more important than, to example, to have
Starting point is 00:01:19 good grammatik but we learn us not this in school Because in school, so is all thing very theoretist. We focuser on to listen and scriva and grammatique and so on things.
Starting point is 00:01:39 But when we are talking, it's then it is so important to have self-fetroending. I'm just to have for us self, that we are clarer, to talk, that we can bequemable. with to talk so that so that it should it
Starting point is 00:02:03 handle on today so welcome to Simple Swedish
Starting point is 00:02:09 podcast and I am Fredrick and today we talk about
Starting point is 00:02:15 how you how you build self-fetroending so that you can feel
Starting point is 00:02:21 so that you can that you know that you of-slappnard when you are Spanish. Tink to you that you can have
Starting point is 00:02:33 cool and get contact with people on Swedish. Verkly contact with the right people and to build vansk, relationships, relations and
Starting point is 00:02:50 such things. And think that people not not byter Sprook with you
Starting point is 00:02:58 so that so that you whole simply stander in the that you
Starting point is 00:03:04 are not and that other people don't be so
Starting point is 00:03:09 think it it is that is that is that is that is that is
Starting point is 00:03:13 it that when you make it so so inan
Starting point is 00:03:18 we start I take some some patron so
Starting point is 00:03:24 it is Piroos Ori, Matt, Parmiss, Liz, Joanna, Kim, Allah, Say, or Say, or Say, Keio, Ira, Tim, and Neurokid. So, thank to you for that you stodger this pod. All who will study the podding, go to patreon.com slash Swedish linguist. So we can talk
Starting point is 00:03:57 on self-fetroending and you know that to study grammatique and so
Starting point is 00:04:06 it does not that you know that you know more ofslappn and
Starting point is 00:04:13 self-sacer often you're more osacer of to study grammat
Starting point is 00:04:21 so I I will give you a example, so think on people that you have talked with on your modersmol. You have certainly talked with someone who could well, it's kind of, quite, say that your modersmol in English
Starting point is 00:04:49 and you're talking with someone who not all can a good English but this person is
Starting point is 00:04:59 completely bequem to talk with you even if his or his English
Starting point is 00:05:06 is really low level or maybe low grammat but but
Starting point is 00:05:11 this person is very very very very very have cool and
Starting point is 00:05:15 are great to talk me okay you have certainly also
Starting point is 00:05:20 have or or talked with someone who can very very good also
Starting point is 00:05:28 your mother's but but that seems very osacer someone who doesn't
Starting point is 00:05:37 not all that's even if this person can very much so who
Starting point is 00:05:46 who is the best chance that you actually stander in
Starting point is 00:05:54 the sproket say that you could communicate on a other
Starting point is 00:06:00 other but who is the chance that you actually standar
Starting point is 00:06:07 in this and who is the chance that
Starting point is 00:06:12 you have a personal contact with so so
Starting point is 00:06:20 who are more self-sacare, who have more self-fetroonde that's more more of-slappened and bequem
Starting point is 00:06:27 even if the person's sprook not at so high level. So, self-fetroende
Starting point is 00:06:37 is very important and I would say that it is extra important in
Starting point is 00:06:44 in Sweden. Why? Okay. for that Swenks have often a very high level of
Starting point is 00:06:56 English. Svanska can often English very very good and Swenska are very very garner
Starting point is 00:07:05 English. It be a very on where and so but generally so people
Starting point is 00:07:12 generally and people girena and good and good and and
Starting point is 00:07:16 that can do you can make you more osacier for that you feel that you need a higher level a other thing is that swanckers can't even
Starting point is 00:07:34 give so there so there gettemmy upscatning and enthusiasm over that you learn their sprach I mean I have learned me in many Sprook
Starting point is 00:07:47 and have been in many lenders and people are often very
Starting point is 00:07:53 glad that you learn their and that you give much upscatning and
Starting point is 00:08:01 enthusiasm, that you learn their sprok and it give you a slacks self-sacer
Starting point is 00:08:09 and it can't but and it are many people are so in Sweden also, but not
Starting point is 00:08:19 like much as in other lenders. So, so maybe is it extra important to build your self-fetroending in the Spanish-sprosket, also extra important in
Starting point is 00:08:32 Sweden, that you're building self-fetroending in the sproket. But the good newheten is that there are that there There are many
Starting point is 00:08:44 Sets to build self-fetroending on. So we here go in the
Starting point is 00:08:51 five different different set that is important for to build
Starting point is 00:08:58 to build self-fetroende that you can start with now directly. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:05 So five set to build self-fetround and get
Starting point is 00:09:12 more flit in your conversations and get really contact with people. So, number one has to do with just it, to get contact
Starting point is 00:09:26 with people. And I should have been a short so, so for some years then, so I flitted I to Valencia
Starting point is 00:09:39 and, and And it was difficult for me that I felt I'm not sure when I
Starting point is 00:09:51 talked about I had already learned me Spanish many years earlier because I
Starting point is 00:09:59 lived in Barcelona in a year and there I learned I'm fleeting
Starting point is 00:10:04 Spanish I I was I'm very sure when I talked Spanish
Starting point is 00:10:10 but now When I came to back to Spain, so I I'm not so safe again. So, but at a time, so, I got a visit, so, some friends that I had umgots with much in Barcelona, came on beserk, a pair Argentin's
Starting point is 00:10:40 vending, who I spent many time with in Barcelona for many years earlier. And when they came and when I, like, talked with them, so directly I kinded I much more self-sacier,
Starting point is 00:11:00 I mean, my self-fetroende was directly much higher. I Kended me directly more ofslappened. Why? For that
Starting point is 00:11:13 these people were people I had a personal contact with. It was my friends that I
Starting point is 00:11:23 readan knew, that I had a relation to and even if it was several
Starting point is 00:11:34 years since as I used with them so come it to back directly it was very
Starting point is 00:11:45 interesting so and I think that I learned me that I learned me in
Starting point is 00:11:53 Spanish so well for that I had the social context that I
Starting point is 00:12:01 had fact friends that I talked Spanish with people I had a personly
Starting point is 00:12:10 contact to so it is very important for self-fetroned that you know
Starting point is 00:12:15 that you like that I say that you get people people
Starting point is 00:12:23 right people that you have a personal contact to
Starting point is 00:12:28 and it It doesn't be Swenska So, the end that Svanska are Erette
Starting point is 00:12:42 and that it is a personal contact. So it is the first tipset to to build
Starting point is 00:12:53 personal contact with people and to hit their people that you have
Starting point is 00:12:58 and so you have Swedish as a sprook with. Number two, it is to eliminate perfectionism and take it
Starting point is 00:13:13 as a leek, that you're that you're leaker more and have cool and not are perfectionist. So you can
Starting point is 00:13:23 also, to know much, to know many words, to know a mass of grammatig, some of things, it can give
Starting point is 00:13:35 self-fetroning, but the most is psychologist. And I should tell when I lived in Budapest and I
Starting point is 00:13:48 learned me Ungerska. Ungerska is a very, very a very, very a very, and it took
Starting point is 00:13:58 very long time to learn to learn and it was very much grammatical to learn
Starting point is 00:14:04 to learn and I have always been a perfectionist but
Starting point is 00:14:10 when I learned me English then I couldn't I not
Starting point is 00:14:15 were perfectionist for that it was completely for complex
Starting point is 00:14:22 for to have a chance to talk correct So I think, okay, I strunters in perfectionism. I'm just, I should just talk with people and have cool.
Starting point is 00:14:42 I come back, I was on a bar, a long. And I thought, I should just be able to talk with people on English. Even if I, I didn't can so bad. And I began to talk with people, and it was really cool. It went quite and they they were
Starting point is 00:15:03 great cool to talk with me trots that my level was low. But
Starting point is 00:15:11 after I was off-slappened and I just had cool so so was
Starting point is 00:15:20 not that a great problem. So to just just to just start
Starting point is 00:15:29 to be perfectionist and just have cool that is a very very important
Starting point is 00:15:35 of the whole. For self-fotrond is like psychologist it is that
Starting point is 00:15:42 we know that okay that if I drinker little alcohol so I
Starting point is 00:15:48 better but you not better but when when you drinker alcohol
Starting point is 00:15:55 so slut when brie so much about to do
Starting point is 00:16:00 misstack and say fail and so you actually better but
Starting point is 00:16:06 you're not better for that you can more but you're
Starting point is 00:16:11 better for that you that you focus on to have
Starting point is 00:16:15 cool and not on to talk correct so
Starting point is 00:16:21 so so that was number two number Number three is also a psychological factor, and it is to to begin to see you, as an
Starting point is 00:16:35 an-anvendar of Swedish, more than a student of Swedish. For, when we begin to study a a sprach, so are we, you, a student of the word. We can not use the for that we, yeah, of upenbara shale. So, but often so fastn't we in the mindsetet, that we are
Starting point is 00:17:03 just a student. And we can not be an ender for that we are a student, okay? But, also, think you, when you learned you did your modersmol, also when you learned you, your first sprok. You were an an
Starting point is 00:17:22 user redan from first word. You learned you learned you a word the first word on
Starting point is 00:17:30 your modersmol and direct you are an an an an user of
Starting point is 00:17:35 the you are a student can you say so you learn you learn you
Starting point is 00:17:39 but you are an an an lander from first wordet
Starting point is 00:17:43 so this this is just a shift in attity
Starting point is 00:17:49 to end uptitude Bury see you as an an anvvvendar of Svanska
Starting point is 00:17:58 and not just as a student we will always be student so we learn us
Starting point is 00:18:05 even our moders-mol we're we us whole life so so begin
Starting point is 00:18:12 see Svvvanska as a Sprok that you anvended not just just
Starting point is 00:18:19 And this is a problem that we learn us in school that in school so must you do make different tests and you get a bettying and you're like, oh, this was too good, this was not good
Starting point is 00:18:38 and we have this mindset also as a vuxna, that we must know this, we must to know this before we can be able to do this
Starting point is 00:18:54 and this but I'll see you as a an an an user now
Starting point is 00:18:57 directly and it was also that much that helped me when I had
Starting point is 00:19:06 had flitted to Valencia and I kind me and I began
Starting point is 00:19:11 when I talked with people I began I started just I started
Starting point is 00:19:16 just I'm okay I can I can not perfect Spanska, but I can just use it as one of my sprach, I'm not
Starting point is 00:19:24 about misstack, but I'm just just about and I'm going to be a parted actually with an deltager in our bootcamp
Starting point is 00:19:37 in go-gour actually who said that he had done this, he had had begun to think that he is an
Starting point is 00:19:50 an anvender of the and he did a strong
Starting point is 00:19:55 skillnard and I marked also that he talked very very
Starting point is 00:19:59 flitande so it is a very very good tips number
Starting point is 00:20:07 four is much training with tryghip okay much
Starting point is 00:20:15 training with for self-fetroande as said it has much about
Starting point is 00:20:21 attitude, of instillning, psychology but it is so-clart also important to also
Starting point is 00:20:30 train much on the sproket and to build his factical competence
Starting point is 00:20:36 so and the important to think on when you trainer on
Starting point is 00:20:45 to talk, it is to train in situations where you feel you're trying to tryg. For, if we train are all the time in situations where we know much press, much
Starting point is 00:21:04 stress, or that we know us dumbed, yeah, it triggers, like, stress in the and we are lost and it
Starting point is 00:21:17 is not bad so we must hit a situation where we can feel
Starting point is 00:21:23 us and we can be with situations where we know we are
Starting point is 00:21:28 we are trying so so same it is it important
Starting point is 00:21:34 that you also push out out from his
Starting point is 00:21:39 comfort zone so So, for to develop and be better we do things
Starting point is 00:21:47 that are a little and we pusher us a little but not too much.
Starting point is 00:21:54 We must know us relatively competent, we must feel that okay, I can't
Starting point is 00:22:02 I can't this. So much training on to talk to but But then,
Starting point is 00:22:09 and then, Vell situations where you feel you're trying. GERN little
Starting point is 00:22:15 and little swore situations but not for much stress and so. So,
Starting point is 00:22:23 think on this here, which situations and which people can you
Starting point is 00:22:29 get much very learning with on on Spanish to speak
Starting point is 00:22:33 Spanish and also situations and where you feel you're there you're trying. And I must
Starting point is 00:22:42 say that we built the language gym with exactly this intention to build a place where
Starting point is 00:22:55 you can get much training in a good and stuttating milieu. And I
Starting point is 00:23:05 say this here just now for that we come start our next free six-week challenge. And it is our very popular out of language gym. And, yeah, think
Starting point is 00:23:22 how much self-fetroending you should have after 30 long, interesting conversations together with interesting people from the whole world that are in exact same situation as you in a
Starting point is 00:23:44 a tryg milieu so 30 conversations and if you do it in six weeks so are the this this is this this is this
Starting point is 00:23:58 so I'll leave a link in the description and you have registered you can't the 15th Augusti
Starting point is 00:24:10 the last Friday on the 15th Augusty Hopas we see there so
Starting point is 00:24:18 so then we to the 5th and the fifth and the tipset
Starting point is 00:24:22 for today for to build self-fetroending when you're very
Starting point is 00:24:30 simple A very simple tips And it is Healt Fake it till you make it Okay It looks simple But it has
Starting point is 00:24:43 very very craftful psychological What can you say factors So It is actually That you can't
Starting point is 00:24:55 strunter in these mistog if you just talk on say that
Starting point is 00:25:03 you talk you are mistack but you just strunta in it
Starting point is 00:25:08 you just you are and you mistaking are
Starting point is 00:25:12 not important you you you fakear that you
Starting point is 00:25:16 actually have this self-fetro and if if you not
Starting point is 00:25:21 you don't understand all then just you that you
Starting point is 00:25:27 understood it and you just gissar rest and so and just and just the conversation
Starting point is 00:25:35 so if you don't understand you can guess you can guess what personen it
Starting point is 00:25:46 sometimes okay if you not okay if you didn't know anything so you need to ask
Starting point is 00:25:51 again but it is no problem but But the whole thing is that you just antaire that you will come to say what you will say, you will understand what you
Starting point is 00:26:06 need to, every time you do you're doing that, you just continue. And this is a shift in mindset, this here also. So, this can you prove. Next time you have a conversation on Swedish. Fake it till you make it.
Starting point is 00:26:27 It fungered, actually. So, for to summer, we have personal contact, to hit your folk. We have leek
Starting point is 00:26:40 instead for perfectionism. We have see you as an an user of the sproket, snarer than a student. We have much training
Starting point is 00:26:52 in situations and with people where you feel you try. And we have fake it and you make it.
Starting point is 00:27:00 So which of these tipsen was the biggest for you to hear
Starting point is 00:27:09 and what you do you do now for to build your self-fetroending
Starting point is 00:27:16 comment and and tell so what it is this all
Starting point is 00:27:23 for I hope we see us in LanguageDim and yeah, we see us in next offsnit. Hey-do, hey-do.
