Oh, hello, it's Harriet, and I've just come on to let you know that I'm on tour.
Later in the year, I'm bringing my show Flusi to you.
I'm flusying about the UK.
Lots of new shows have been added.
Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London, new date there, and we've added Winchester, Frum.
Got in trouble for pronouncing that wrong.
Frum, Taunton, Leeds, Milton Keynes, Leeds, Margate, Farnham.
and let's not forget, Cochester.
You can get tickets at harrietkemsley.com
and I'd love to see you there.
Hello, I'm Amy Gledhill
and I'm Harriet Kemsley.
We're both single and in our 30s.
And we've found ourselves back on the dating scene
and the landscape has changed.
Everyone has settled down.
But we're back out there.
We're desperately trying to figure out
what the hell we should be doing.
So we're going to speak to experts.
Chat about dates we've been on
if we managed to get any.
and share your tips and horror stories.
So we all feel less alone.
We might even get our exes on.
Yeah, we'll see about that.
This is Single Ladies in Your Area.
Hey, baby.
Hey, baby.
Oh my God, it's the last one of the series.
It's the end of the series.
The end of an era.
Yeah.
That feels kind of a bit like the era before it,
but slightly more improved.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think it's been an intense, intense period.
Yeah, it's been, yeah, wild, but I feel like I've learnt very little.
Again, very little.
Not enough as I should have, as I should have learned.
But I've kind of come out of it.
Yeah, I don't know.
We're growing.
The thing is, it's so hard to know.
It's like watching a plant grow.
It's so difficult to know we're growing unless you listen back to previous episodes.
And then you're like, oh my God, she was an idiot.
Yeah, if you look back at the photos, you like the plant.
grown, but like sometimes it looks like the plant is dead.
But then you give it a bit of water and it comes back to life.
Yeah.
And sometimes you've given it too much water.
Yes.
Overwater.
I'm a real overwater.
I'm a real overwater.
I'm a no water for a long time and then a big overwater.
I'm a binge water.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think I think I was really like giving a lot of time to dating and now I just don't really,
I'm not even a lot of time really.
Just like was seeing it as a thing to do.
and then I literally don't have any time to do it.
And so it's kind of freeing in a way.
And I'm just like I don't have any energy to kind of put onto it.
And I keep me and feel that it's like nearly right,
but then it's not quite right.
You've had a few near misses.
Yeah, that's it.
And then I've been bouncing back quite quick.
You know, I take a hit and then I bounce back.
And then I'm...
Take it.
She's down.
She's up.
She's being hit again.
She's down.
She's back up.
Surely she can't be.
A third time.
She has been.
She has been.
She's down.
She's back up.
It's absolutely.
But that is a testament to you.
That's amazing.
Yeah.
Getting back up is tricky.
I'm always getting back up.
I'm always getting back up.
Yeah.
But you're getting back up.
Yeah.
And so, you know, it feels,
I feel like I'm a bit like hardier and I'm a bit like,
oh, I feel like I've, I'm on the other side of something.
Yeah.
Which was like being afraid of.
like if I could meet somebody or if and then I'm like, no, I know I can and I know that,
but I, the bar of what I'm looking for is clearer and I feel like I'm going to get there quicker
and yeah, I'm just not, until it's the right person, it's just not, it just doesn't matter until
it's the right person. Yeah. I love that. And you've really instilled in me when you say,
well, they're not your person. And it's like, yeah, because my person would text me back.
Your person is going to be like, my person's going to text me back. I really believe that. I have to
believe that. I have to believe that. I think your person is.
going to be, I think we're going to have so much fun with your person.
Do you think? Like, I think I'm going to have a fun time.
Oh, I would love it if we all had a fun time together. Yeah. And so none of these people
are fun. Like if they're not texting you back. That's not fun. They're not fun in any way.
It's like, oh, it's such a drag. Like, your person is, I think, I think they're going to be
really fun. Do you know what? I've literally, something has just changed in my brain just right then
when you said, I'm going to have fun with your person where I'm like, instantly, like, some people that I was
talking to
I'm like,
they wouldn't be
fun enough
for Harriet.
I don't want to
date this far.
I have to date
someone that's
good enough for
Mabel and you
have to date someone
that's good enough
for me.
That's your bar.
But that genuinely
I've gone like,
oh, I can't introduce
them to Harriet.
Then I shouldn't
be trying to date them.
I shouldn't be
scurrying after them.
Be like,
please say,
please can we go
for a drink.
No, you're not
good enough to meet Harriet.
Yeah,
because I want to go out
and have a fun time
with them.
Oh my God.
I would love that
so much.
Yeah.
That's what I need.
That's the bar.
Because no offence, some of them before.
They've been a real drag.
Real drag.
I know.
Their vibe is bad.
They bring the vibe down and you are such a great vibe.
And you want to be matched by a great vibe.
They're not going to be as good a vibe as you.
It's just not possible.
But like at least like a good vibe, you know, like none of these bad vibes.
Oh, I can't be going with anyone.
No.
Miserable bad vibes.
No.
And no one who's, do you know what?
I'm not chasing anyone anymore.
I can't be our.
I really,
come on.
I really,
you deserve to be chased.
Maybe that's the wrong way of saying it.
Wait,
no,
a different way of saying it.
But you deserve, like,
people to be coming to you.
Like,
I think you,
you need to just let them come to you
because none of these,
you shouldn't be chasing anybody.
They're not a good vibe
if they're letting you chase.
They should be like,
excuse me, I should chase you.
Excuse me, stop there.
Can I just stop me for a second?
So you're chasing.
You're running down the road.
You're chasing.
them and then they stop and they go, I'm the chaser
and then you go, ooh,
and then you turn around and then you run and they chase you.
Yeah, that's fine.
That's what it should be.
Yeah.
But I don't really like running, so they'd be like,
I'm going to chase you, but I'm going to get you an Uber
and I'll follow behind.
I'm going to run behind that Uber.
You're running scooters.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay, well that's good.
This is all positive.
And we leave this series.
I have a, I'm going on a date.
Not this Saturday next Saturday.
Yeah, I'm going on a dirt.
Okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
I mean...
Can he say any more or we'll just leave it?
Okay, I like this.
He's chasing.
We don't know yet.
We don't know yet.
He's confident.
Great, I like that.
He's funny.
Love that.
He's like...
72.
He's 108 years old.
Yeah.
Great.
He is a cow.
And I'm not bothered by that.
Genuinely, if you dated a cow, that would be dated.
better than some of the people
that we've dated.
If you turned up with a cow,
I'd be like,
this is more fun.
This is fun.
We would have a fun time
with a cow.
If you brought a cow to a club,
you're telling me we wouldn't have a fun time.
We would have a fun time.
I was brought a cow.
Let's go.
The way that cow looks at her
breaks my heart.
I love it.
Under his big lashes,
looking up.
Kind eyes for cow.
Lashes just flapping.
Yeah, you deserve that.
Snuffalo fugs in Sesame Street.
Yes.
That's what I want.
I just want a snuffle up a gus.
You deserve that.
Yeah.
But no, we don't know, we don't know about this guy yet, but he's chasing, he's asking good questions as well.
Have you met him before?
No.
See, this is good because I think you haven't done many that is like not like, so this is good.
You're putting yourself out there.
This is great.
I'm proud of you.
Yeah, thank you so much.
I mean, we'll see how it goes at the start of the next series when I'm like, it was a disaster.
No, because you would have gone on more dates since then.
I'll have gone on more dates.
This is just a date.
That's cool.
That's cool, man.
She does dates.
I just date.
Some of them are humans.
Men and cows are my two big things.
We have a wonderful final guest.
Oh my God.
We love him.
He's pure joy.
He's the sort of guy where I feel like how it would have fun with him.
I would have so much fun if you turn up with Morgan.
Yeah.
Please welcome to the pod.
Morgan Reese.
It's a match.
We were just talking before the podcast started.
You're going away later in the year.
Going away in September, yeah.
Where are you going?
We're currently changing it.
Originally it was Fortune Ventura,
but recently discovered that I said that to my best friend,
comedian Josh Jones.
So he's also there with his partner,
and he has explicitly asked me to not go to Fortune Ventura.
That's so funny.
I think that's so funny,
but that is such a good friendship
and level of ability to be like,
you have to go somewhere else.
Because so many people would just be like,
oh, I guess we just have to do this thing.
Or if I was going to Moran, like, you were coming, I'd be like, brilliant!
Yeah.
I'm not going to see my partner at all.
I guess if you have that moment with your partner or something,
then they might be like, oh, I don't want you guys to be, like, all the time.
Because we see each other all the time.
Whenever I'm in Manchester, I stay at Josh Jones's, and his partner's wonderful.
But he is a bit like, this is supposed to be our holiday.
And even though it's like a big island, you know, the personality, Josh Jones is.
got.
Oh, you'll hear him.
Yeah.
On the island, wherever you are.
We got invited one time.
We got invited to like a maskless, no, a masked sort of orgy.
Shut up.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
What a thing to bring up in the first two minutes.
We were a bit like, well, should we do it?
They're not going to know who we are.
I said, the moment you start talking, Josh don't know who you are.
Josh has just, he's got the perfect blend of it.
It's like 50-50 mank gay.
No one else has ever achieved.
that accent
but Josh Jones has.
Sweet, did you go
to the orgy?
No.
Oh my God.
I wish.
Wow.
I did, but I just used his voice.
I mean, you've got a pretty
distinctive voice yourself.
Yes.
I don't think the two of you
would do well in a masked orgy.
Anonymity is out the window.
Yeah, we'd be screwed, literally.
Oh my God.
So, hi, welcome to the
Yes, yes.
Sorry, now we've got the orgy stuff out the way.
Yeah.
Wow.
Yeah.
Thank you for coming.
We're so happy to have you here.
Thank you so much for having me.
We're just saying what,
you bring a lot of joy.
Like, you're very, like,
it's, like, always lovely to see you.
Like, you're just with a lot of positive kind of energy.
Oh, thank you.
I suppose you both, I would say you both do as well.
Oh, that's nice.
It's good vibes all round.
Yeah, that's good vibes all round.
But also, that our jobs as well,
wouldn't be awful if you brought the opposite energy?
But they do.
They do.
You must have seen it, they do.
A lot of people do.
Yeah.
Maybe I'll just block those out.
That's the way to do it, I think, yeah.
Yeah.
It's just always supposed to be entertaining.
Yeah.
I can totally get, say, like, we've travelled and stuck in traffic, like, oh, God, can you relieve the traffic?
You have to allow someone to get that out.
Yeah.
I remember once I asked someone to say, hey, how are you doing?
You went, oh, God, I miss love.
I went, oh, come on.
I miss love.
Oh, my God.
I miss love is so good.
Don't we all?
Wow.
Wow.
That's somebody who's really trying to feel it.
They're really, they're in their feelings, aren't they?
They're really pondering.
That's someone who's got a little notebook and they write shit poetry in it.
Yes.
I miss love.
Because it's not even the person.
That's what's so sad about it.
It's just that feeling that is interchangible.
It's not the person I miss.
It's that feeling that I have.
Yeah.
Because you could love a person.
You could love a lasagna.
I know completely.
Imagine that's what we was talking about the entire time.
I miss lasagna.
It was a bit like,
we're all right to go on stage, dude.
Do you keep it light?
Yeah.
You'll find another lasagna?
There's plenty of pasta out there.
You're going to be fine, dude.
How do you stay so positive?
You're saying you go to the gym a lot.
That's your...
Oh, I'm big about moving your body,
big about being with other people,
as in just community.
And just all the orgies, all the orgies give me really sprightly, you know.
Sorry, just I'm very, very 2026.
Journaling and gratitude.
Really?
Yeah, just found.
I went to anger management therapy.
And it was.
Because you had anger?
Yeah, I really, I really struggled with it.
What?
Wow.
And so big thing for me is just catching it.
CRT.
The CRT, that's the one, isn't it?
So just catch.
myself having self-negative thoughts,
catch myself having self-whatever.
CBT, part.
I was thinking of HRT.
I get the therapy patches, I do.
God, you know,
you're doing great.
The peri-fury.
I'm on the...
But yeah, no, I just catch myself
and I just go, none of this is real.
It's all hypothetical.
This person hasn't said this to you.
This person hasn't responded to you
this way.
To catch myself.
and I just be super positive.
It's because you would never think that about you
because there are some people that they radiate joy in positivity
but you can see under the surface the reality and it comes out.
Like you just, you can like it's almost like you can feel it.
Yes.
But what they're presenting is positivity but underneath is the anger.
There's a darkness.
There's a darkness.
There's a real darkness.
And they're pretending like they're really happy for you, but they're furious.
It's furious and you know it.
You just feel it.
Your body feels it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, you know, you really deserve that.
Yeah, I'm really glad you got that.
No, that's great. That's great.
And how did you get that?
Yeah.
That's like, how did you get that?
How did you get that?
No, I'm really happy to be met.
How did you get that there?
Yeah.
Asking for a friend.
How did you get that then?
I'm not good, good, good, good.
Asking for a really bitter friend.
How do you get that?
But I've never felt there from you in any way.
But is it because this was something in the past
or that it's just something that you've just like,
as soon as you felt that you've dealt with it?
Oh, always struggled with anger.
Recently, TBC, it could be autism.
I went to, I'm in testing for it,
and I went to the therapy before,
and everything I listed, I was like,
now I looked back, I was like, it looks like it.
So it's just things like, it's going to sound wackadoo.
It's going to sound so, it feels like cement being in my head,
and I just, oh, what to do?
And it feels heavy in my head, and I just, I just lash out.
It would always be like kicking a bin or kicking a wall or something,
screaming into a pillow.
But what I do in therapy now,
if I ever feel
it's all rushing to my head,
the cement, I look mental.
I have to take the focus
away from my head to somewhere else.
What's the opposite of your head, your feet?
So I have to take my shoes and socks off
and I have to focus on the contact
of my feet and the ground.
Yeah. Wow.
It looks mental in the services.
It's a guy saying,
cement and take your shoes off.
Cement.
Cement.
Cement.
Ma'am, no shoes and socks on by himself
shouting cement.
Outside walk and go in a service.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, you wouldn't look at that person and go,
God, they're on top of their mental health.
That's exactly you're doing what you need to do.
That's amazing.
That's a technique that's advised us grounding.
So it's also putting your bare feet on the ground
is a way of connecting with the earth.
It's a connection technique.
And I've definitely had that, like, I don't do with it by anger,
but I know that cement feeling that you mean
where you're just like overwhelmed by stuff.
Yeah.
And it kind of shuts down.
And yeah, very interesting.
So, yeah, and it still happens.
Like, I just know how to deal with it.
You know, it's far from perfect.
I was late for a train the other day.
What happened?
I was like, kicking a wall.
And Janick's like, cool, can't wait for you to meet my friends.
You got to get in.
there and sniff them.
So you have a partner.
Have a partner, yes.
How long have you been together?
We'll be three years, third of August.
Oh my God.
Oh my God, it's nearly a anniversary.
I know.
Oh, my God.
So how do you find things like the anger and stuff with your partner?
Like, did you have to sort of come clean about that kind of early on or did he just like
work it out?
I would love to say came clean, I think, worked it out.
Okay.
I think I probably was honest about it, but he had no idea how bad it was.
Got you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And it is something I'm still working on.
Like, sometimes, like, because I feel as we're going, cement.
Like, well, cook.
Yanni, the cement's here.
Cooking.
There will be cooking.
You'll happen when we're cooking or I'm really punctual.
I have to be early for things.
And I date someone that's, uh,
as they will describe Indian late.
Okay.
They're Indian.
Mustress.
Helpful information.
Mustress.
Must dress.
They're Indian.
So that's been a bit like,
ha, ha, ha, ha.
Right, okay.
And I could have handled that better.
Yeah.
Yeah, but I guess it is like that is a fit.
Like when I'm late, like I get such a panic and you get such a like an intense feeling.
And then if somebody else is bringing them.
that. Like, it's, like, being in a relationship is so exposing. It's like, it's bringing out those
things that are usually feelings that you feel inwardly, but then somebody else is exposing those
feelings. So it's a helpful way that you have to learn how to deal with those feelings for
yourself. Yeah. Through the relationship. It's working on it. And we're in the process of
buying somewhere. And I tell you what, we're so madly in love. But fuck me, are we arguing?
I've had permission to be able to own up to that.
Fuck me.
It's the most stressful thing you can do.
It's so stressful.
I can just show you a screenshot of my partner.
You text me the day,
hey, Bay, I've realised why I hate you.
What's the reason?
Jenny God's.
But it was to do with the house and tardy does.
Of course.
Of course.
Wow.
It was because I would go into orgies without him.
I'd be wearing a man.
off his face, like...
How did you guys meet?
We met the old-fashioned way.
I saw him on Grindr.
Yes.
Well, actually, I saw him in the gym,
but when you meet my partner now,
thinking of the queerest thing in the world, it's that.
And they're so fantastically queer.
But I didn't know they were.
So beautiful.
Oh, you saw them at Glastonbury.
Yes, yes.
Oh, my God.
People recognize them from Glastonbury.
What do you mean?
The partner's very femme them.
Yeah.
So was wearing like those are high heels and like cowboy lace.
And they always put their feet on their face.
Oh,
at Glasgow when everyone's rolling out of a tent
and looking at their worst selves.
Yeah.
Incredible.
Yeah, it was immense.
Uh, yeah.
That's hot.
Yeah, well into it.
Yeah.
Because they're non-binary space.
And when I first met them, they weren't.
They were very mass-presentive.
I first met them, you know, they were six foot, well, they're still six foot two.
And, but, like, you know, masculine build.
They've, they're a bit, Indian, but very ethically ambiguous.
So they're a lot of Arabic look for them.
So a lot of dark hair.
But now they've sort of gone down this more femme.
Then root, the hair sort of zapped off.
Oh, wow.
I think they'll mind me saying a bit of filet to more feminize the face.
And, yeah, yeah, I love it.
That's what I wonder about as somebody,
becomes more, kind of find themselves more to fall more and more in love with.
And that's really, that's really great.
Yeah, we talk about it because Janet was like, look, I'm different than when we met.
So you might not fancy me after all these changes.
Yeah.
But it turns out being bisexual.
Wow, what a gift.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Offend them and a bisexual is like the perfect pairing.
On the in paper.
But wow, wow.
So did you have these conversations then before they started to sort of expect?
with stuff or was it like
they do their own thing
and then it'd be like
oh by the way I'm sort of being
a bit more femme is that cool?
Yeah a little bit
it was more retrospectively
there's more that going like
I've been dressing very femme recently
have I how do you feel about that?
I think it was probably conscious on
I actually I don't know
I don't know whether it was conscious
I know there was something they've always wanted to do
and they've just naturally ended up doing it
oh fantastic
and they've got a supportive partner
who's like that was a hot
as fuck.
Yeah, pretty much.
Keep doing what you want to do, babe.
Because I've even done bits and bobs in it,
wearing many skirts, wear heels.
Yeah, nice.
Try the cropped top, but it didn't go.
I've got a big routine about that in the new show.
Crop tops are hard.
I dream of wearing a crop top.
But yeah, no, it's been,
we can get our nails done together.
Oh my God, I love that.
Oh, my God, to have a point.
You can get your nails done with together.
Yeah.
Get your nails done and then go to the pub.
I mean, that's our...
Oh my God, the dream date.
We need bye guys.
Yes.
They are wicked.
Totally.
Totally recommend a bye guy.
Yeah, I need a bye guy.
I need a bye guy in my life.
So you said when you met your partner, you weren't sure that they were queer?
No, I thought, because when I first met them, they look miserable.
And then...
Because it was only in the gym in the morning.
So now I've realised they just not a morning person.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
They weren't straight.
And then I saw them on Grindr.
They're either not a morning person or straight.
Both are bad.
Bad in the morning.
Must be straight.
Yeah, it checks out.
Just check out.
Just check out.
And I saw them in the gym.
I went, we're not sure, so on the grinder.
Okay.
Okay.
So you've seen in real life before Grindr.
Yeah.
That's nice.
That's incredible.
And is that sort of like coincidence?
or with Grindr, can you set like a very specific, like...
Gym.
Yeah.
In this room right now.
The place, yeah.
Yeah.
You know, it's because it's just irradious.
It just so happened we live near each other.
Right.
That's great.
And then I messaged them on there and then hopefully Janet will mind me saying this.
Janick ignored it because they thought I was short.
And then later...
No way.
Yeah, yeah.
I do give short energy and it's because I'm...
I'm stout.
I'm a thick boy.
I am a thick of milkshake and I know that.
All the milkshakes in life, you know, I'm McDonald's, aren't?
So wait, so then, so you'd message, it'd been ignored,
and then you're just going back to the same gym being like,
oh, God, would you be like, is this going to be awkward?
Well, in the meantime, I sort of just written it off
because I went, in the meantime,
then Janick did see me in the gym,
and went, oh, they're not as short as I thought they were.
You know, that sort of angelic feeling.
And then, beauty of being in this business, I just came up on this phone one of my reels.
Yes.
I went viral for something.
And then Janet was like, oh, it's the not short guy from the gym.
And they went, oh, this must be a sign.
Then I saw them again on hinge.
And I thought, you know, they might say no on Grind.
Maybe they'll say yes on hinge.
But you didn't know all of this.
So you messaged a second time.
I think that's so hot ones.
That's really hot.
Yeah.
And they're making an effort.
Yeah.
Isn't that mad?
Yeah.
Because this is going to sound awful.
I said no.
I'll give it one more.
No.
No does mean no.
No does mean no.
Didn't say no.
Just ignored.
Yeah.
Just ignored.
And so it's like persistence
rather than not responding to a no.
It's like effort.
If there's a no, then you have to listen to the no.
But if there's no response, then you go.
Yeah.
Effort is really hot.
And like, being keen is hot.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So you messaged on Hinge.
And.
We literally just started talking to immediately.
We arranged a date for the next day.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
We go slower, go slower.
So, what was your message like on Grindr and what was it like on Hinge?
Did you acknowledge on Hinge like, hey, I've messaged before.
I don't know if you've seen it.
Or do we just like, ignore that.
We're straight in again.
Yeah, ignore that.
That never happened.
Because that was no response.
I didn't, I used to have a blank profile on Grindr, but people were trying to work out where I live.
But my first message would be my photos.
Got you.
Great.
So then the second time round, I saw Janak.
I was like, let's just start talking.
Yeah, I think we literally arranged to meet up the next day or the day after that.
Oh, my God.
And fair play, shout out Jade Adams, because we were at Eurovision.
And we got invited to Eurovision, the opening ceremony.
And I said, Jay, I've got a big date tomorrow.
I really want to be there for.
Do you mind if we leave early, yeah, absolutely.
Oh, legend.
Wow.
We really cut it fine, though.
But then, yep, we met up for, we went to the, I lied about being at Eurovision.
So I said, let's go to the gym, because we both like gym in.
Great.
And then we'll go for a drink afterwards.
So I was hanging out my ass at this gym session.
Because I just driven from Liverpool, from Liverpool to Bristol, Bristol to London.
Oh, my God.
Then we went for the gym, then we went for a drink after.
Just a coffee because they were sober at the time.
and we had such a lovely time
and we had a second date that evening.
Whoa!
Wait, a second date that evening
because you had coffee and then you separated
and then you regrouped.
Yeah, we just said, can't stop thinking about you
and then we went for dinner the same day.
That is so romantic.
I love that so much.
I love everything about that story,
other van, going on a day to the gym.
That freaks me out.
What do you do?
I sort of just spot each other a little bit
and just like if they drop the weight,
they'll just go, well, say, go, yes.
Go out with me then.
I'm not sure, you don't do that.
But what do you, because, like, you're talking
and, like, working out next to each other?
You're achieving something,
and then your hands are near each other,
and you're like, yeah, I think it's a good...
But also, it doesn't mean that it's just like,
just talking, talking, talking, talking, talking, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You're doing something, you can take breaks.
Yeah, nice.
Yeah, it's just an activity.
Did you kiss after the coffee?
No, dinner, we did.
This is such a, what a romantic day.
And the fact you rushed back to be there
because you just knew that it was really special.
Head over heels, like.
Oh my God, I love this.
Oh, God.
I miss love.
What can I say?
I miss love.
And I want a lasagna, but I think that's different.
Been up to much this weekend.
What was your dating history before?
A lot of three months.
A lot of three-monthers.
Really?
I'm a real three-month-a.
Yeah.
Well, pretty much I only ever had two proper relationships.
Girlfriend, just after uni, one person I dated for like five, six months.
But then, like, Janick's being the only one that's surpassed.
Yeah.
So past the five-month mark.
Wow.
And it was, yeah, it's been good.
And all the three-monthers were still three months, they're people.
But, you know, the people I've gone out with three-monthers.
Horrible.
Three months, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's like their life is.
Yeah, yeah.
Prison sentence.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, that's Samantha stretch I did.
Yeah, we're also friends.
You know, this job and compatibility with people.
Yeah, it's really hard.
But yeah, yeah, I've slept around a lot.
Yeah, really.
Really, really did that.
Oh, good.
That's fantastic.
Is that from the apps?
From the apps?
Yeah.
I think you'd be good in real life though.
I reckon you could like,
if you saw somebody liked in real life,
I think like you're exactly the kind of charming
where you'd be like,
I'm going to go back with this guy.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So you were doing a bit of apps,
bit of real life.
Yeah, it was, yeah, I'll be honestly.
there was a lot of times
I think I was doing it for validation
because some of them
I was like, God, this is atrocious.
Why am I, why I'm in here?
Why is it just a mattress on the floor?
No.
Yeah, a lot of bin rooms, not of outdoors.
Al fresco.
Al fresco.
Yeah, that's a nice spin on it.
Al fresco.
That was their name, I don't know.
There must be a drag king
called Al fresco, surely.
Yeah.
And Al Dente.
Al dente, albente.
Albente.
Shotgun, Albente.
You got it, man.
You got it.
So when you were going out,
what would your like go-to-dits be?
Oh, oh, he's a pub and get shit-faced, really.
I would love to say I was a hopeless, romantic,
and inventive.
And, no, I was pub and shit-faced all the time.
Yeah, yeah.
I would like, I love walking.
I am big about moving.
my body. So it would be like, let's just go for a big old fuck off walk.
Oh, that's hot. A walk is a great day, I think. Because your next, it's that thing of how,
if you want to talk to someone about something serious, you should be like not looking at each other.
And so you're like by each other. So it's like a good way of connecting with somebody.
Well, I find walking really difficult.
Okay.
What about it?
I feel like each step is a challenge and I feel really wobbly. And I feel like,
Like, you know, people can enjoy walking.
I've never enjoyed a walk in my life.
Do you have good footwear?
Yeah, sometimes.
I think I've got, because, you know, I've got this hypermobility.
I think I've just got all wobbly.
It's like lower half hypermobility.
So I feel like, maybe I feel like unsteady in a way that other people,
I've always presumed everyone feels like walking's really difficult.
And I'm starting to realize that maybe people just have a nice time when they're walking.
and they're not like, oh my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, that's not.
Yeah, that's not.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Every time I walk.
And so when I'm, like, walking and chatting with someone, I'm like 20% having the,
having the conversation at 8th thing, going, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh,
fuck, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, I can't breathe,
I can't breathe, I can't breathe, I feel dizzy.
I feel dizzy.
You sound like you walk the way I go down an escalator.
static. Yes. It's like you're always on an escalator that static. Yeah. You know, you've got
done it for any moment. Yeah. I've done this before. Yeah. Why does this feel weird all of a sudden?
I can do stairs. I can do stairs. I've done stairs before. Yeah, I have like constant,
I feel like I'm in crisis mode when I'm walking. Is there an activity that you would do with a date
though? Yeah, surely. I'd bowling. Yeah, bowling would be good or even like darts or something.
Yeah.
Tell you what? Love a flight club.
Oh, yeah. I mean, that would be really.
really fun. I think that would be really fun. Yeah. Drink. Drink. Talk. Yeah. Yeah. And it's like,
and you have to be good at it and it's like, oh, yeah, maybe I'll go on a dart to it.
I think that's a great idea. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then, because there's got the, if you, have you
done them before? I've been to a flight club. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So when you can just be a bit fun,
do something different. When you, you get one, one 80 or whatever, you win the game, you get the
thing that records you and it plays it back on the screen. Do a bit fun. Do something fun. That's where you can
show your fun. You can show your fun. You can show your fun.
side.
Tits out.
Tits out for the 180.
Both of us, both of us.
Cock out for the bullseye.
Eye out for the bull's eye.
That sounds amazing.
Okay, well that sorted me out.
I'm not doing that for a date.
No, that's fine.
I'm happy for you.
I'm not doing that.
Oh, that's really lovely.
How do you think, um,
How do you think the relationship is like, change?
Like, because if this is your longest relationship, like, how are you keeping it kind of,
is it coming easily to kind of keep the romance alive?
Or is it kind of, I guess it's a natural progression into?
No, it's something I've had to check up on.
Like, I think I've made me, in points being a bit complacent.
I was like, I could have been a bit.
This is the longest relationship.
Longest relationship.
Yeah, because you're going into unknown territory, I guess.
Yeah.
But really, it's always like, make sure I bring.
back gifts, we've got flowers, do, have something arranged.
Now I'm a bit like, no, they're not going anywhere.
No, Morgan.
I'm like, you haven't bought me a gift in a little while.
I was like, oh yeah.
And when I say gift, I'm not talking about diamonds and this, that, the other.
You're thinking of them.
What's both of your love languages?
Oh, excellent question.
This is access service.
It's funny
I think there's something
we're talking about at the moment
I don't think Janet
remind me bringing this up
because it's not a biggie really
Acts of service
and
is it
touch but in a sex way
physical touch
but only
that is so funny
touch brackets in a sex way
that's so funny
I've never heard it caveats
it's like
none of your hugs
yeah yeah yeah
kind of
that's the difference
it's like
yeah
a bit of dog and cat in a way.
Like, I was like, oh, I like, I know, scratch, scratch, scudges,
scudges, belly, bow, very well.
You can touch me, but on my terms.
It's just she'll always be on their terms, but you know what I mean.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, I love that.
So what's your love language then?
Words of affirmation.
I'm always trying to big them up.
That makes it sound like they always try to take me down.
But words of affirmation and touch.
I love cuddles.
I love contact.
I love.
And access.
service in a way, but problem is when I do them, I do them wrong.
Yeah, but you like to receive acts of service.
Hmm.
Because you're thinking of love language is that you, that's what you like to give to other people.
Yes, I think it's different both ways, isn't it, sometimes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, probably ditto for both, really.
But, yeah, I'll certainly accept an acts of service.
A lot of that's food, like.
Oh, God.
Oh, God.
Oh, my God.
Yeah.
But Janick's also a phenomenal act.
gift given. I've never got it right. I've never got one gift right. I've done so, I've bought so
many. I've never got them. I've never got them right. I don't believe that. No, really bad.
What's your worst gift? Well, I remember one time, I was, oh, you wears conversees? Are they also
like wearing heels? I'll get them healed converses. No, they don't combine. Yeah, yeah, you mustn't
combine two things, two pluses do not make a plus. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yes.
This reminds me of the only younger guy I ever dated.
He knew that I liked baths and he knew that I liked roast dinners.
And so he ran me a bath, incredible, loved it.
And then when I was in the bath, he knocked on the bathroom door
and presented me with a roast chicken dinner to eat in the bath.
Because in his head, he was like, this will be the best day of her life.
And I really tried to eat it, but it's very difficult.
And I was so hot.
The bath was so hot.
And then the dinner's so hot.
We're all picturing the Yorkshire pudding floating, aren't we?
Of course, you've got to.
It's just the lonely as far as dinner.
Just alone.
Yeah.
Because if you get in as well and then have it theirs or?
No, no.
Pouring in the gravy.
Just straight into the bath.
There we go.
Here we go.
And I was like, oh.
And I really tried it.
And it was so, like, the gesture is so nice.
Yeah.
But it was just.
Yeah, maybe like what you were saying, like the converse and the heat.
You know, it's like, ah, all the components are right, but just together.
I once got gifted because I like dolphins and I like necklaces.
I don't necessarily want a dolphin necklace.
And so this is, it's the two combined does not make something that you want.
Yeah.
No.
No.
That is so cute.
I wish I could tell you more, but do you ever think, like, am I forgetful or am I repressing things?
Yeah.
I can't remember loads.
And then I just go like, I can't remember.
I don't know if I've forgotten that.
I've repressed it.
Life is so busy.
It's the same to people.
It's like if I forgot this person or what?
Yeah.
How have I, how do I remember this person?
It's never ending.
We've got to get out there.
In the relationship, so how long did you see you together?
Three years.
Three years.
How is trusting someone?
Because I find like that's the thing that, in the thing that, in the relationship.
a relationship beyond like the three months, the six months.
That's when you have to really get into like, fuck, we've got to live our lives and stuff.
And that's when I start panicking a bit about like trust.
I think that's when that comes into it.
How have you found that for the first time?
It's a big thing in our relationship.
I don't think me and Janet again would mind me saying because I think we weren't
exclusive off the bat and there was a miscommunication on terms and exclusive to me.
that caused a lot of arguments.
I don't think that's particularly uncommon.
Yes.
And that was a recurring argument.
There still crops up ever so often.
Again, I don't think, Janet would mind me saying.
We actually had couples therapy over that.
Amazing.
But we were fine about everything.
We spoke about everything.
But we just sort of recognised that we cannot get past this argument.
We cannot get past.
So let's just get someone in to help us get past this.
That's fantastic.
You can just get stuck on one thing.
And it's things from someone's part.
Like it's nothing even to do with the present.
It's like an insecurity or like a thing from the past
that you just can't get, yeah, that's great.
And me and Janick have a different,
because to me, when we've had a discussion,
we've spoken about it, to me that's tick done.
But I'm just like, but Janick is still ongoing.
But to me, it just felt like we were just ripping open this thing each time.
But we just approached it differently.
So I was like, well, let's just get someone in to help us on this one thing.
And they were great.
Oh my God, that's so healthy.
Yeah.
And I'm sorry, there still wobbles with it as well, especially because back when I was, I mean, I say this with no pride, but when I was sleeping around a lot, a lot of times it was through Instagram.
But now that's my job.
I have to be on that app.
And John, it's a bit like, oh, this used to be, your job app used to be the fucking app.
Yeah.
And it's kind of difficult seeing you on it.
Of course.
Actually, you've got like, okay, well, you can see anything you want.
He's a bit like, oh, we don't particularly want to be the people that we both have.
open access to everyone's phone whenever we want.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Wow.
It's tricky.
It's like an onward conversation, isn't it?
Yeah, of course it is.
God, it's just, you can't just relax ever.
But you're doing the work and that's incredible.
That's really good because a lot of couples just wouldn't.
They'd be like either we'll break up over it or we'll not mention it again but both be quietly resenting it.
Yeah, or just have this argument forever.
Or just have an argument for the next.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because you did that thing once.
I thought we forgot.
about that thing.
I never repeat.
I'm repeat.
I'm repeat.
Yeah.
Well, we saw the biggest arguments you've always had
have been either we're hammered or we're hungry.
That's me.
That's my life.
Sometimes we'll catch ourselves in an argument and we'll go,
whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Let's get a pizza and we'll see what we still think this.
That's genius.
How often are you still having the argument after the pizza?
Oh, fraction.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I tell you what, something some dough balls can fix.
I don't know what job is, but how is it with you doing comedy with a partner, with the lifestyle and the traveling?
Tough, really tough.
Because they're not tition during the day, but they do a bit of acting as well.
Wow.
And, yeah, it's tough.
I mean, like, the only times we see each other, first thing in the morning, sometimes last thing at night.
Yeah.
And our days aren't regular, so some weekends I'm free, some weekends I'm not.
It's tough and it's an ongoing thing
Something we're really working on
Yes
And I would I would hate to say that
Oh we've nailed it
We haven't it's something that's really needs work
We're working on at the moment
Yeah yeah yeah amazing
Because it's all goes down to just spending time
With a partner and also we've spoken about a little bit
I think we can talk about
Even regards to sex
Like in regards to I see them
First thing in the morning
Last thing at night
And when we go for food
They're all the times I least want sex
First thing in the morning, last thing at night, and when I've eaten, I couldn't think of anything worse.
Yeah, of course.
That's so true.
Although, I guess, like, well, last thing at night, if you're both tired or, like, if one of you's already asleep or whatever, you can't be like, hello.
Wake up, I know you have to go up in three hours, but I'm horny.
Yeah. Yeah, so that's tough.
Do you get up at the same time?
I do. I always make sure I walk down at to work.
Oh, my God.
Morgan.
That is
every day.
If I'm there, yeah.
I say to work is into the station.
Romantic.
They're old enough to get the tune.
The thought of somebody getting out of bed
to walk me to a station.
I've never heard anything so nice in my entire life.
Cheers, thank you.
Are you watching this?
How far is the walk?
Oh, so 25 minutes.
That's so lovely.
Yeah, so we're trying get up.
I could be a bit quicker getting out of bed.
I'll be honest,
and actually spending more time with Januk in the mornings.
But we have spoken up.
I mean, like, Janet's like, why don't you spend time with it?
Because you hate everyone in the morning.
You say, if I just so, I still want you there.
I just don't want you to talk to me.
Yeah.
And then do you get a coffee on the walk?
No, we'll have one downstairs.
And then we'll just walk.
We'll walk with each other to the tube and then I'll see them off.
Because sometimes that's the only time we'll get to see them that day.
so we'd have to try and make the most of it.
Guys, I'm going to say it again, I miss love.
I miss love so much, I miss love.
Although I've never had love like that.
No, this is, this is what you're aiming for.
This is it.
This is the thing where you want to get up
and you want to go on that walk and,
I just want someone to walk next to me
while I'm going, fucking hell, fucking hell,
oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, oh my God,
I'm walking, go, walk you, go on.
I'm on the chew, bye, love you, bye.
Yeah, that's pretty much it.
Wow.
that's so romantic.
You're doing the work.
You're showing up for each other.
It's hot.
Thank you.
I would hate to portray ourselves as perfect.
We do have our troubles
and we're always talking about them.
It's usually this job, to be honest,
because I'm not around.
Yeah, of course.
It's a really tough job to do
and keep a relationship going.
And it's really cool that you're with someone
who isn't in the industry
because sometimes you think,
oh, the only way to make this work
is by dating a comedian.
And with love and light to us,
everyone who's a comedian is awful to date.
You know what I mean?
Like, excluding us, it's like, it's really bad.
We're actually great to date.
We're actually great to date.
We're really fun to date.
Like, comedians in general.
It's a nightmare to date because of the hours,
the ego.
Yeah.
Where it's like, yeah, I've got a day off,
but I need to write about myself.
It's like, oh my God, take me to the park.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Do you what I mean?
It's really difficult.
Take me to the park like you're a dog or something.
Yeah.
Was anyone else hearing it, written on that song,
take me to work.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Take me to work.
So it's different.
I think this is like,
must be one of the hardest jobs to deal with in a relationship.
Oh, big time.
I'm like, hey, I'm not going to be here,
but while I'm away, I'm going to monetize our relationship.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm going to make fun of you, yeah, and our relationship and, yeah, myself.
Yeah, I'm going to make fun of you while.
well I'm away.
Yeah.
And then when I'm back,
I'm going to write more stuff about you.
Yeah.
That's such a good point.
Yeah.
Oh dear.
Yeah.
And it's really balanced as well.
Does Janet go to your shows?
Yeah.
Less so now.
Yeah.
They're like, oh yeah, it's the same stuff again, is it?
Yeah.
How was that?
Like, because I find it really vulnerable, like,
inviting someone who I fancy to,
come and watch me do stand up.
Like, I find that impossible.
All right now, I made the mistakes of never invite someone
you actually respect to a show you've never done before.
Really fair.
If I go like, okay, I'll have a goodie here.
Yeah.
I'll have a goodie here.
The amount of times, I remember I introduced,
I've invited a friend to come and see a show.
I was doing a show with Southampton.
I was like, oh, a friend, bring a friend, best friend.
Took him to the show.
It was in a classroom and a school.
And all the audience had to sit at the desk.
Shut up.
Yeah.
And once someone's seen you not do well, they'll never think you're good.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
They'll always be like, I don't know how they made a living out of this.
Yeah. That's crazy.
Yeah.
And then when you say, oh, I can't see you tonight because I've got a gig, they'll be like,
okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Sure, you go to your little gig.
I have a nice time.
Oh, yeah.
You go to the classroom.
You go to your history class.
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
Try your best.
So how quickly did you bring Jenick to a gig?
pretty quick only because I was doing the Hacney Empire
and I just thought okay
you can make your dick a bit here
let's try and do this one
and a bit like oh yeah we're going to do for drinks after the show
But wasn't that so nerve-wracking
that you have because that was that your first time
that was your show at Hagney Empire?
No I was supporting Jade
and then a year later I was doing my own show there
That's so cool
Yeah that's so cool
That was fun
But I think that show was sort of written
when I was single.
So it was a bit weird
doing the show
to your partner.
Yeah.
Doing this all single material
and then at the end going
by the way,
got a partner.
Yeah.
I would have,
in hindsight,
I should have written
the show differently.
Wow,
that's amazing.
But yeah.
What about you both?
Have you ever brought
someone to a stinker?
I haven't brought
anyone that I've dated
no.
Ever to a gig.
Oh, really?
That's the right way to do it.
Well, yeah.
I guess it's like,
it's almost,
I guess the same time frame as meeting Mabel
is like seeing me again.
That's so funny.
I don't know.
It just feels like so vulnerable.
But like I only dated comics
and then now dating people.
I felt like so worried or embarrassed about it.
And I think I'm getting more confident.
I think it would be quicker and it would be easier.
Yeah.
Are you a good father?
Are you a good punter?
Yay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Could you think you could date someone
who's a brilliant partner,
ticks every box,
but they're a bad audience.
What do you mean by baddy audience member?
Talks on their phone, heckles.
It's a sign that they're just inconsiderate.
They two don't go together.
It's impossible.
What if they were?
What if they were perfect in every single way?
But then something just happened to them
when they went into a, like, a theatre space
where they were just like,
bruh!
Yeah, that would be fine.
I just wouldn't go with them anywhere.
Yeah.
That would be fine.
Then you just live a life where it's just separate.
But then somebody would be like,
hurry, I did a gig other day
and your partner was in the audience.
Oh, they're banned from theatres.
Okay.
Oh, they're banned.
Oh, they're banned from all the theatre.
Yeah.
Okay, fine.
Because they'll be like, that MIRP guy was back in.
The MIRP guy.
Does I really?
I love that MIRP guy.
MIRP.
I don't know if I could do this guy.
I don't know if he's the guy for me.
I like how you're trying to play,
but I don't know if he's the guy for me.
I think I could do better.
If you were sat next to the MIRP guy,
would you look to them,
I was just going, please stop, or would you look ahead going, I'm not with this person.
Oh, interesting. No, I would try and stop them, I think.
I would, because you feel so responsible for the person on stage.
You're like, I cannot.
Because if someone's talking, like, I'm that person that's like, can you stop?
Like, it makes me so cross if they're, like, ruining or, like, people are looking.
That's the one thing Janet gets, well, loads of things getting angry.
But I will call people out.
I call people out all the time.
Do you?
I find, again, the anger thing.
My problem is I don't get angry.
The problem is I go to 11.
Do you know how they're a bit different drunks?
Like you're an aggy drug, you're a loud drunk, you're a socky drunk.
I think there's that with anger.
Yes.
I think some people are an aggressive anger.
Some people are a seething anger.
Some people are a silent anger.
Yeah.
I get insanely sarky.
And I'm not a sarky person at all, but I get really sarky.
I get really loud.
And I'll make a scene.
I always make a scene.
You'll make a scene.
I would actually love to see you cause a scene.
Me too.
What's the last time you made a scene?
I live on a road with this communal parking.
So many people put their bins to reserve their spots.
So I've started, I always take them off.
And I put them back on the roads.
And if people persist doing it, I take the wheels off their bins.
Think you got a wheelie bin.
None anymore.
It's just a bin.
How'd you even go about doing that?
Do you need a tool?
I've got a tool toolkit.
You use a toolkit.
And I get in pretty late.
from show, so no one's out.
It's just me and drug dealers.
Megan, that's so funny.
So funny.
Do you leave the wheel by it?
So it's like you leave proof of what you've done,
or do you take the wheel?
What, as in like a murderer
that leaves a memento?
You've been bewild.
Oh, the wheel has been round.
I've been wheeled.
The wheeler struck again last night.
Got number 86.
They're bins.
In my mind, I'm like a heroic visual.
But there's just these awful scrapes on the pavement now where people have been scraping their
wheelless bin.
Their wheel has bin.
It's just like, she out of the window, a really elderly lady, just having to scrape a bin
off the road.
That's so funny.
And has it helped?
I'm not at all.
They're really persistent.
But the last one, I was saying, is someone who's, oh, I'm observing that.
Oh, that's my spot.
I said, well, why are you reserving it then?
It was your spot.
And then we just had a bit.
go up,
and she went,
oh, it's polite.
I went, no, it's not,
it's community.
Blah, blah,
back and four,
back and four.
Lovely idea of you
shouting at someone
talking about community.
Yeah.
You'll need to fucking
get along,
you prick.
Yeah.
Do it a lot.
If someone's playing
something out loud
on their phone.
Oh, that's...
I'll sit next to them.
And Janet hates them.
I'll sit next to them.
I'll just pretend
I'm having a really difficult shit.
And...
And...
Ha!
So,
So they'll just be there blasted on their phone,
and they'll just be going, oh.
Oh, God, geez.
And eventually they'll go,
what the hell are you doing, mate?
If I have to listen to your shit, you can listen to mine.
That's not before.
Yeah, loads of times.
Loads of times.
Yeah, loads.
That's fun.
I'm a fan of that.
Because these are people doing naughty things.
Yeah.
And do they stop?
Yeah, in a way.
They get off the boss.
I don't hear it anymore,
mainly because I'm going, get off, go, we've got to go.
We've got to go.
Now, Janick started doing it now, so if someone plays anything loud,
do the old Mickey Flanagan bit.
Hey, DJ, did you request?
Turn off.
You're a funny couple.
This is good.
I wouldn't mess with you.
There's so much.
I can't get over the wheels and the bins bringing out your toolkit.
It's a level of petty that's so brilliant.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
This is fantastic stuff.
Yeah.
So I just hope I don't seem as healthy as I did at the start.
I thought it was better to give a full package.
And we appreciate that.
But you still have a smile on your face.
I've been caught, yeah.
A moment a bigger boy tells me off, I'll probably stop.
I think that it's because maybe you're like, you're so positive,
and then you go to 11, and then you come down, then you're positive again.
You're just letting it out of the system rather than, like, repressing it maybe.
Yeah.
There's a healthier way of repressing it.
Yeah, loads of them.
Busy trains.
if people leave their bags on the seat,
I've been known to pretend to be a ticket inspector
and I'll go around asking for everyone's ticket
and I will ask the bag for their ticket for ages.
And then the bag owner goes,
they don't have a ticket.
They've got a seat.
What I should do is, can you move your bag?
It's a pretty busy train.
You're building character and a building story.
You've got it.
The theatricality involved.
is incredible.
The journey that involves to get you having to go down at the carriage,
ask people for tickets to then lead to this moment,
this grand reveal.
It's wonderful.
Yeah, I know.
Oh, wow.
I'll say I'll make a scene because I find it so rude.
It's literally, it is a scene.
It would be so funny.
If you could see like a person with a bag next to them
and you ask people on the way to them if they've got the tickets
and then you get to them and they go,
oh yeah, they put their bag,
willingly, without even mention it, on the floor
and then show you their ticket,
and then you just have to collect everyone else's tin.
Yes, yeah.
That's yet to be happened.
That's yes.
I'd be completely flummox.
Or someone says, I don't have a ticket.
I just said, I've gone, then what you do?
You have to arrest somebody.
Yeah, but citizens arrest now.
Pull off a metafocal mask.
I'm actually a citizen.
I wasn't a ticket inspector.
This has got completely out of hand.
I'm actually a citizen,
and I will be arresting you.
I know it's half hour to the next stop, but...
And then they'll be like, well, I'm a citizen
and I'm arresting you for impersonating a ticket inspector.
Yeah, that's fair enough.
At this point is crime snapses, whoever goes first.
Crime snapses.
Wow, well, we've learnt so much from you, Morgan.
It's been fantastic.
We have, Morgan. Thank you so much.
We've learned about love and about crime.
Crime.
Crime.
It is. It's crime.
It is. It's crime.
From love to crime.
Where are you?
You're going on tour?
I'm going on tour with a show called What a Bummer all over the UK.
I must stress, it's a really funny gay title,
but you do not need to be gay or queer to go to it.
What I'm trying to say is that queer is I adore you,
God, I could do with some women at the shows.
Yes, women.
Yeah, okay, great.
It's not as bum-heavy as you think.
bum heavy could be your next tour.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's a great thing.
Going around the UK and Ireland,
I'm in my tour show called Whatabama.
Get tickets to Morgan Reescom.
Or follow me on any of the blinking socials.
Yes.
Morgan Rees comedy.
Great.
Oh my God.
Fantastic.
I've got a podcast called Chatman with Cherries with Josh Jones.
Yeah, I love Josh Jones.
Yeah.
I don't know Geroad.
Irish-based comic works a lot with Gerard.
He's hilarious.
He's trying to break the UK a bit more
because he's huge in Ireland.
Amazing.
Oh my God.
What was the podcast called?
Chatting with cherubs.
Chatting with cherubs.
And you are cherubs.
Thank you.
Beautiful little cherubs.
Yes.
And how do you kiss someone?
Amy, you just got a lunge.
Oh, I just love him.
He's the best.
Best.
Oh my God.
And if you want to find him,
which I'm sure you do,
he's at Morgan Rees comedy on Instagram.
He's so good live as well.
Like I've seen him come by some gigs.
Like at Lattitude and stuff like that.
It's a hard gig to compare and he's smashes it.
He's fantastic.
He's fantastic.
And he's like, he just always brings good energy.
He's got good vibe.
This is what we're talking about.
Like we want good to be around good vibes.
Like he's someone who's really like turning up with a really positive spirit.
Yes.
Pure joy.
What a way to end the series.
I can't believe the series is over.
We can have a little summer break and then we'll be back.
We'll do some dating so we've got things to tell you.
Yes.
But we're also just going to live our lives and just do,
I think we both just need to like rest and fill our own cups.
We must fill our cups.
We're going to fill our cups.
We hope that you will fill your cups.
Yeah.
Because I think that's something we just need to do.
You can't really date from a place where we're like a bit.
You can't date from an empty cup.
Our cups are leaking.
There's nothing left that our cups have leaked everything out.
Yeah.
The cups have cracked.
We're old cups.
We're old leaky cups.
We're old leaky cups.
In an antique shop.
Yes.
So we must look after our cup.
Yeah.
Yeah, we're going to go fix our cups.
We're going to go fix our cups.
We're going to come back and be for the new term.
For the new term.
Oh, my God.
Morgan is on tour around the UK from September to November.
We cannot recommend going to see him enough.
I tell you who else is on tour, Harriet.
I think it might be you.
It's me.
I'm on tour.
I'm on tour.
And I'd love to see you guys there.
I'm going to be in Edinburgh for a week doing a work in progress of my new show, Flusi.
And then I'm touring around the UK from September to the end of November.
It's fun. It's a fun time.
Oh my God. Flusy.
What a title.
What a woman. What a comic.
It's all on my website.
Oh my God.
That's so exciting.
Come along, guys.
And then I'm on, I'm on tour, but not till next year.
Yeah, but it's coming.
But you can buy tickets.
You can buy tickets.
Yes, you've got to go see Amy.
You've got to go see us both.
Yeah, do the double.
Do the double.
We should have a loyalty scheme.
I was just thinking that some kind of thing.
and then you get something for doing both.
You get like a special edition.
Yeah.
Badge or something.
Yeah, we've got to work out now.
We think about this.
Yeah.
There's going to be a lot of this game, don't we about that.
Okay.
We love you guys.
Happy summer.
Happy summer.
See you when we get back.
Take care of yourselves.
Fill up your cups.
We love you.
We love you.
And we will see you next series.
Oh, my God.
Bye.
Bye.
Hello, me again, Amy Gladhill.
But this time I'm.
with?
Not Harriet Kemsley.
Whoa.
W.T.
Fuck.
What's going on?
And with bloody Ian Smith?
Off a Northern News podcast.
Yes, a podcast.
That's not about the news.
Don't worry, single ladies.
No, it's not about the news.
It's not about being single.
It's about the North.
And all of our stories are about couples.
That is not the truth, Ian.
No, not technically true.
It's weird stuff.
It's funny stuff that's going on up.
that we're reporting back on.
Things like pure evil blackbird named Derek terrorising Yorkshire village and attacking children.
Woman in tears after spotting spitting image of dead dog in Bath, Matt.
And we've got special guests.
We're talking about people like Phil Wang, Jessica Nappit, Ed Gamble and Ross Noble.
Whoo! Whoo!
Yeah!
That's Northern News, wherever you get your podcasts.
