For now, find the most comfortable position in bed that you possibly can,
Starting point is 00:03:12 taking the time to make any adjustments that allow you to be even just 1% more comfortable. And once you're there, keep your eyes open for a moment, resting your gaze on the wall or the ceiling, anything out across in front of you. And as I count down from five to one, you can allow your eyes to softly close, bit by bit, starting at five, ready to leave this day in the past as we come to four. And you begin to feel that sensation of a growing weight in your eyelids, arriving at three. as your eyes may be beginning to flutter under that growing weight as we come to two and you can barely resist that growing desire to let your eyes close seeing now only through the tiniest sliver of your eyelids but holding on for just one more second as we finally reach
Starting point is 00:05:23 one, and you allow your eyes to close all the way down, giving into that weight and feeling the relaxation and softness, spreading through the muscles in and around your eyes, moving into your forehead, your cheeks and your jaw, softening all the muscles of your face and feeling that sense of relaxation, spreading from your head, down your shoulders and your arms, through your chest, your back, your abdomen, down your hips, and all the way through your legs, to the very tips of your toes. To take a nice deep breath in, collecting any lingering energy or tension in your body and then exhaling and letting go of all of that softening even deeper into the bed once more now inhale exhale release everything go and resting deeper and deeper and deeper and even deeper still worried about when
Starting point is 00:08:32 or how you'll fall asleep and simply trusting in your body's natural abilities and processes simply enjoying this time for peace and quiet and if you'd like to enjoy this time for and if you'd like to enjoy this time for rest, while settling even deeper, I invite you to imagine that you're standing in front of an old rod-iron gate surrounded by stone walls, and it's all beautifully entwined with jasmine and ivy is the entrance to a garden, but it's not just any garden. It's your garden of joy, made up and growing. With all of the wonderful things that fill your life, both present and past, and to enter the garden of joy, all you have to do is let go. So you press your hands on the gate, gently pushing as you let go. As you let go, as you let go,
Starting point is 00:11:05 of all of the things you think you should have, releasing the need for perfection or success. And as you relinquish all of these desires, your breath begins to slow. And your body softens just that bit more. and at just that exact moment, the gate unlocks and swings open, revealing a stone path, perfectly laid and meandering through a garden, blooming and colorful and perfectly tended. And as you begin to walk, feeling the cool sensation of the stones beneath, beneath. your feet, you take your time to observe each of the little plants and objects here. And as you look more closely, you notice that each one has a little sign in front of it.
Starting point is 00:13:25 And on each of those signs is written a simple joy from your life. and what's on these signs isn't complicated or expensive things, but rather the simple joys, the small sparks that combine to illuminate a bright and beautiful life. Things like a favorite meal, a good friend, a beautiful view, the comfort of your own bed, a moment of uncontrollable laughter. And as you recollect these memories of joy, you notice your body responding. Your chest feels more open.
Starting point is 00:15:38 Your breathing feels easier. Your mind feels less tense. your thoughts, settle just that bit more. And you begin to feel a deep, soul-level sense of relief coming from the recognition that this life is full of wonderful things. And so you continue to move through the garden, taking the time to stop, and notice each little plant and figurine sitting on each wooden bench and tending to each thing as needed. And with every breath you take, you find yourself, whispering, thank you. Thank you. you for blessing my life with a little bit of joy. And after some time wandering through your garden,
Starting point is 00:18:14 you notice that the far side of the garden actually opens into a vast and soft meadow. and you decide to explore as you have a feeling there might be even more joy beyond. And so you step off the stone path and onto the smooth grass of the meadow and entering into the broad expanse and having just explored your own garden of joy You notice that your mind is now favored towards noticing the good in your life. And so as you wander through this meadow and you discover the beautiful, tall trees that live here, you see them each as one of the people who've shown you love in life, you see the blooming. bushes, as the skills you've learned, you see the clusters of flowers. As the places you've traveled, you see the little wooden bridge over the babbling brook.
Starting point is 00:20:46 As that time you overcame something, you didn't think you could. As your softly slowing breath takes in the healing. the healing and fresh air of the meadow you feel yourself overcome with a sense of gratitude of relief of satisfaction and happiness not because of anything grand but for the simple things that you have a roof over your head tonight that you have food to nourish you the miracle of your own beating heart. And in this way, you begin to realize that you are supremely wealthy in the ways that matter most. And all negative frames of thought, all limiting beliefs, all victim mindsets, they're all dispel.
Starting point is 00:23:12 As you breathe in the air. of joy and gratitude, and you exhale, releasing all worries and concerns, sinking deeper and deeper into this moment, knowing that you have more than enough and a beautiful life that's worth living. And so, you wander over to a perfect. spot. At the edge of the garden, beneath the protection of a sprawling and ancient tree where a soft bed of moss is waiting for you. And before you lie down, you take a handful of seeds from your pocket. These are your intentions for tomorrow. And as you drop them in the earth, There's no planning or worrying, but rather a cultivating, a nourishing in the same way that sleep does for your body.
Starting point is 00:25:36 You plant a seed for vitality, knowing you will wake up, feeling light, refreshed, and energized. You plant a seed for clarity so that you will awake, knowing exactly what to do. And you drop a seed for kindness so that you may move through the day with grace and respect for all. And after planting these seeds, you lie down on the best. of moss as the whole garden has now fallen quiet. The birds are nestled into the treetops. The flowers are closing their petals for the night. And so too are you allowing yourself to rest deeper as the memories of joy drift through your mind, each passing breath, moving you just that
Starting point is 00:28:19 tiny bit closer to sleep, releasing the day just past as you welcome and enjoy a comforting embrace of night, knowing that you have done enough that you have done enough that you welcome and enjoy a comforting embrace of night. knowing that you have done enough, that you have no problems to solve, and that you can simply let go and sleep now. Every cell in your body is healing and recharging with golden, happy energy. Tomorrow is a fresh canvas, a blank page. And you can tell any story with it that you'd like sinking deeper and deeper. You are surrounded by safety. You are wrapped in gratitude and your life is overflowing with joy, grateful.
