Now here's a quick word from our sponsors before tonight's episode begins.
Hey there, my friend, welcome to sleep escape, and to this bedtime's deep sleep hypnosis.
This session uses hypnotic language and relaxation techniques to guide you.
into a deep state of sleep tonight and even deeper sleep every following night that you listen.
So if you're ready to enjoy deeper sleep, you can just go ahead and settle into a comfortable
place where you can fully let go somewhere you don't need to be alert and you don't need to do
anything at all. And just to give you a quick preview of what this recording includes.
will begin with some deep breathing and a guided hypnotic relaxation for the physical body.
After which I'll transition to hypnotic suggestions to help you release stress, settle your nervous system,
and fall into sleep more quickly, more easily, and more deeply.
And at the end are a series of...
positive affirmations that will reinforce the relaxation and deep sleep state that your mind and body
will already be experiencing. For the best results, return to this practice daily for several
days in a row as it will begin to train your mind how to sleep more deeply when you go through
this session repeatedly. And remember whether you fall asleep quickly,
or slowly, whether you hear every word or drift in and out, it doesn't matter. It's all perfectly
okay. You don't have to try to sleep. You just get to relax and enjoy some quiet time for yourself.
And that's such a nice thing, isn't it? Sleep will arrive in its own time and in its own way.
naturally. So take a moment just to ensure you've settled in as comfortably as you possibly can,
finding any position and making any adjustments that feel right for you. Even if it just makes you
one percent more comfortable, make that adjustment. Because you deserve to feel safe, supported,
and fully relaxed.
And you don't need to overthink it.
Just allow your body to make that decision about comfort.
It will tell you when it feels good.
And you've settled into that position that's just right for you.
And once you've found it,
give yourself permission to stop adjusting.
Just for now.
You can always make changes again later.
But for now, just settle and enjoy that stillness.
Because when your body senses stillness, it senses safety.
And when it senses safety, it begins to soften.
And when you soften, just that first bit, the softness will spread.
Now, if you haven't already, allow that softness to spread to spread to your eyes.
eyes, gently feeling that weight, growing heavier and heavier, allowing your eyes to flicker and
flutter as you ever so slightly resist the growing desire to let your eyes close and sink into that
world within. And when you can no longer resist, allow your eyes to close, feeling those tiny
muscles in and around your eyes.
Loocening and softening as if they've been waiting for permission to finally stop working.
And as you settle into the darkness behind your eyes, just take a slow breath in,
expanding down into your diaphragm and then exhale, just let the air fall back out.
Don't push or press and notice that subtle release.
Just that small signal to the body that it's safe to soften deeper down.
Again, breathing in, fully and slowly, back out, allowing the exhale to be longer than the inhale,
which serves as a signal that you can settle and relax.
because all is well and all is safe once more now inhaling even deeper and then exhale let it all go allow your breath to return to its own natural rhythm and depth just resting your mind on the sound of my voice letting your thoughts come and go not needing to push them away because you don't need to push them away because you don't need to
focus or concentrate. There's no way to mess this up or do it right. Your relaxation happens
the moment you stop trying. So simply be and allow it to happen in its own way and on its own time.
I don't know whether you'll fall asleep faster due to the words that I say the way in which I
I say them, or the space between them.
But I do know that you're already beginning to move deeper and deeper within, closer and closer to sleep.
Each moment, moving just a fraction of the way down that path towards sleep.
And it might be helpful for your movement down that path towards sleep.
If you just shift your awareness to your face, allow those muscles to soften.
Feel your forehead falling smooth, releasing the space between your eyebrows,
unclenching your cheeks and your jaw, allowing your tongue to fall at rest in your mouth
and simply noticing how even these minute changes.
create ripples downward throughout your body bringing your attention to your shoulders and without forcing
anything just allowing them to drop by even a millimeter as if gravity is doing all of the work for you
and you're able to just let go and release that bit more feeling your arms and your hands and your
hands, softening down, your back melting and legs, sinking as your full body lets go of any
remaining tension and begins to move farther away from the realm of physical sensation
altogether, feeling simultaneously heavier as you sink into the bed and lighter
as you're freed from physical, mental, and emotional tension.
As you find more and more with each passing moment on this path towards sleep,
that there's nothing to force, there's nothing to do, only the progressive,
letting go of everything.
Throughout this recording,
you may hear a particular word from time to time, and each time you hear it, whether consciously or subconsciously,
your mind and body can treat it as a cue to soften and relax, even just the tiniest bit more,
not because you have to, or you need to, or you should, but because,
You enjoy it and you deserve it.
That word is deeper.
And whenever you hear it, in that moment, you can allow your exhale to lengthen the muscles in your eyes and your face to resoften and your thoughts to drift just a little more distant for now.
sinking deeper and deeper and even deeper still as you soften and let go in whatever way feels easiest
begin to imagine that you're standing at the top of a staircase and it can be any staircase
a real one that you know or one that you've created in your mind.
But whatever it is, this staircase is safe and it's calm.
And there are exactly ten steps laid out before you, heading down.
And with each step, you don't try to relax.
You simply notice relaxation happening.
And in a moment, I'll count down from 10 to zero.
And with each passing number, you step down one level, each step doubling your comfort.
Or deepening in whatever way is best for you.
starting at 10, standing at the top of the staircase.
Looking down, feeling safe and steady and supported, and starting the descent.
As we reach 9, taking that first step down, as the shoulders loosen and the jaw softens again,
as you move to 8, another step lower.
And deeper down, the breath becoming slower, easier or effortless, leading you to seven,
stepping down again, feeling heavier and heavier as you're moving deeper and deeper and deeper down
to six as the whole body softens begins to slow and time begins to fade.
As you reach five, being halfway down now, noticing the mind is beginning to drift more freely,
not focused, not thinking so hard, just sinking within.
That little bit deeper as you come to four and on this step, the nervous system
begins to truly and fully unwind the signals of safety, support, and ease are beginning to take over,
blocking out any signals of tension, stress, or worry from the outside world or from life more generally.
as you settle deeper to step number three, everything becoming simpler, softer, easier, slower,
as you step down again to two, beginning to feel that you're almost there and that simultaneous,
pleasant sensation of both floating and heaviness that so resembling that so resembling that's so resemblance,
the feeling of sleep, beginning to lose track of the moments and the thoughts as you settle deeper and deeper within, finding your way.
One, melting more and more, noticing anything that's just holding on, waiting to be released, wants to be released.
as you move even deeper and deeper still, taking that final step down to zero.
And as you reach the bottom of the staircase, all existence seems to dissipate as you soften deeper and deeper.
And all the way down into the deepest part of you.
for all is safe, all is quiet, and all is well, letting go of any attachments or connections to the
outside world, just for now, because this time and space is for you to explore what lies in front of
you here at the bottom of this staircase, a doorway, a passage, a passage, a passage,
way into your being's deepest state of rest.
And you don't need to force it open.
You don't need to turn a handle or ring a doorbell.
Because it's already open just for you, waiting for your arrival.
And so you step through now.
Feeling yourself, reach even deeper and deeper.
And as you enter this deeper space, your subconscious can take in whatever's useful in the way that suits you best without any effort or exertion in such a way that from now on, whenever you lie down at night, your body knows what to do.
your shoulders release your face softens your jaw relaxes your breath slows and all of this happens
naturally because you stop trying to make it happen you don't chase sleep you simply create the
conditions for it and in this way sleep comes more easily
and effortlessly to you with each passing night.
And if at any point you wake up in the night,
your mind doesn't need to start the day.
You don't feel frustrated about not being asleep or worried,
about when you might fall back asleep.
You don't feel the need to review anything
or figure anything out,
And instead, in that moment in which you notice you're awake, you automatically do one simple thing.
You take a slow breath in and an even longer breath out, feeling your eyes soften and your being sank deeper and deeper.
And that becomes a signal to go right back back.
down into that deepest state of your being and thoughts might be there coming and going but they seem to
fade farther and farther into the background as you sink deeper and deeper returning to sleep easily
without frustration and without effort as you've moved deeper within and you continue sinking
deeper. With each passing moment, your mind may begin closing tabs, not by forcing them shut,
but simply by letting them fade and time out, as if each thought is a page that you no longer
need open and you don't need to delete anything. You can simply let it rest. Whatever you still want to
remember later, your subconscious can hold safely without keeping you awake and through this process.
Your mind begins to learn better and better. That nighttime is not for thinking or doing
nighttime is for resting and restoring. And it's in this state of rest of restitution and restoration.
that your body understands its own safety.
And that safety allows you to sink deeper.
And it allows you to sleep more thoroughly.
More often and more regularly,
because your nervous system is choosing calmness more often.
Your breath is moving deeper.
but slower your muscles that usually hold stress and tension are learning how to let go
such that this deepest state of sleep is becoming more natural and more automatic as you spend more
time comfortably in this state learning its bounds and its ways and how to sink deep
deeper into it more easily and through this process of exploring how to settle deeper.
You are becoming someone who sleeps well, not because you force it, but because your
subconscious being and your body.
Remember how each night your sleep becomes more steady.
and more restful, meaning that each morning you awake feeling more refreshed and restored.
All of that is conspiring to make tomorrow feel simpler, feeling smoother.
And you don't need to know why.
You can just notice it, feeling the catalyzation of that change within you.
As you continuously drift, just that bit deeper and deeper.
Each passing breath, leading you even just a fraction of a step further along that path
towards sleep, allowing you to simply drift, freeing you from the need or desire,
to focus on anything at all.
simply allowing my voice and my words to pass through you and feeling the space between my words
as silence is part of the hypnosis and silence is where your sleep settles deeper as moment by moment you drift farther and farther more and more
losing any connection to sensation or the passage of time finding comfort in the simple knowing
you are safe you are supported you are allowed to rest nothing is being asked or required of you
right now you can give yourself permission to enjoy doing nothing
This moment is enough.
You can let go without any effort at all is continuing to spread through you.
Your muscles are unwinding.
Your nervous system is softening.
And with each exhale, you sink just that bit deeper.
Thoughts may come and go.
And you don't have to follow that.
