Listen, everybody needs a fairy godmother, you know? Just somebody to look out for them.
Some people call me their fairy smoke mother, others their internet big sister,
but you can call me Hannah, the host of Smoke Sash. So come hang out! Let's light up and talk
everything there is to life. The good, the bad, the ugly, the embarrassing. I've got a story for it all.
Oh my god, good morning you guys! How are we doing? Welcome back to another episode of Smoke Sash.
i'm so excited to be here with you guys on this beautiful little tuesday morning afternoon it's
like 12 30 i am not gonna lie to you guys i'm a little out of it your girl's a little delirious
okay i feel like and i don't know if the collective is feeling this as well probably but i'm sure we're
all going through it right now but i feel like there's just like collective high energies and
not like good or bad like kind of neutral they're all kind of evening out it's just like a little
bit of chaos in the universe lots of change and high energy to go with it and I feel like we're
all just trying to you know ride that wave the best we can you know what I mean like I worked
I've been working a lot like I bartended all weekend which is good I'm not gonna lie I'm a
very lazy person so I do feel that high energy and I'm like yeah I don't mind picking up an extra
shift or working more like no that doesn't make me want to pull my hair out like i lean into that
energy and i'm like okay let's go get that money let's work hard right now because i know you're
not gonna work not gonna want to work hard later so let's take advantage of this so i've been
working a lot this is like my first day off in a second um and i woke up this morning
smoked i've been trying to chug some water had my little iced uh brown sugar
latte amazing my friend she's going through it right now as well she was trying to pass a drug
test so you know i was there to hype my girl up to help her get her detox in you know what i mean
so it's been a good morning but it's been a very chill morning and i'm also running on
very little sleep and not a lot of energy so the vibes today are very much so let's
smoke and chill and just have a good time i mean that's honestly the vibes every single time let's
be honest but like extra today i'm like extra sedated it's great like i'm stuck to this couch
and i'm probably gonna be stuck here for the next two hours so let's get into it girls i don't even
have anything to catch you up on i think we're all feeling that collective high you know intensive
chaotic energy right now and we just want some fun and a little distraction what's better than that
so let's dive right into all the questions you have because there are so many and i'm so excited
to get to them first of all did you guys see that lana del rey is touring i i know i know don't even
bring it up to me because i will not be going to any of the shows honestly now that i'm older one
of the perks of being older and like making adult money is like i could catch a flight to one of
these shows and go to it alone like i could do that but also i don't know anybody in these cities
and um i don't feel a urge to travel to any of those cities no hate love y'all but it's also
within the next two months so I'm assuming there's gonna be more tour dates later I'm just gonna
chill do my thing that being said she's kind of an elusive artist and she doesn't tour often I
think the last time she toured even near my city was in 2018 honestly I feel like I should also
maybe like take advantage and just go to one but I low-key think I'm gonna have to miss it if you
are in one of those states and you're gonna go see her cheers to you have fun be safe also be
respectful to the people around you like be nice the the nicer you are to other people the better
the energy is that you're gonna attract always in any sort of situation so if you're mean or rude
that energy is gonna attract to you tenfold so just be nice be nice because i've heard these
concerts have been crazy recently and I have a theory on this I think it's just everybody who
was kind of raised under that era of music like the 2016 to 2019 era of music um they all have
like main character syndrome and I'm gonna call it main character syndrome because it also just
means they have a big ego but i feel like we all went through that um tiktok era of like
main character energy you gotta elicit your main character energy and i've talked about it here
on before or on this podcast before my god my words my brain is leaking out of my ears let me
drink some water this is your sign to drink some water pick up your water bottle chug it your brain
is dehydrated okay love it okay i feel like we all went through that kind of tiktok main character
energy era and some of us it taught us it's okay to be a person in the real world and to love
yourself and to be a little out there and don't think too much about it just live your best life
really embrace who you are. And to other people, it was like, they're already there. Now it just
means you can be rude and disrespectful and fuck everybody else. The only thing that matters is
what you think and how you're feeling, which is not a great place to take it. And I feel like a
lot of those people have succumbed to that mentality, which is not fun. Because I talked
about my kali uchis experience on here like she was literally sitting on stage giving a speech
like not singing giving a speech main character moment light one singular light pointing down on
her like she's an angel giving a speech to the crowd about love and respect and you need to
embrace the people around you and be kind to them and in the middle of her speech
a fist fight breaks out and these people are fist fighting and like 10 security jump in the crowd
and are shoving them and they're fist fighting and i'm like oh my god what is happening what's
happening so like the energy that you give out is going to find you tenfold so give out positive
energy be kind to the people around you you don't have to be barricade to be having the best
possible experience okay um really be respectful to the people around you um look out for the
people around you when you put out that energy those people then look out for you and they make
sure you're having a good experience like that's what concerts are all about is joining that
collective energy and that collective focus on something that you really enjoy and you a person
you really look up to and looking around you and seeing so many other people feeling that same
emotion it's beautiful it's incredible but if you're only focused on how you're feeling and
fuck the rest and i don't give a fuck if that person's upset then the energy is not going to
be able to connect that collective energy is not going to be there feed into the good okay
god i sound like such a hippie but like that fist fight during cali uchis i was like oh
i'm so sad like she tried her best and these men are fist fighting what's going on get them
out of here anyways love you i will miss you miss lana del rey one day i will experience her live
and it will be the best moment my entire life but unfortunately our paths are not yet meant to cross
and that's okay before we get into it i think we need a bowl i think we need a little bowl you
don't have to smoke to be here i love you all my tea break girlies love you all maybe light up a
little cbt joint whatever you need but i'm gonna smoke a bowl because it's my day off
and i want to set the vibes right for the girls you know what i mean
okay someone said i know you mentioned to learn about yourself and get comfortable with being
alone but how literally just be alone it's from the boredom that the discovery stems from okay
you gotta allow yourself to be bored when you're constantly having like outward stimuli of other
people around you other people's drama other people's things yeah you don't really have to
think about yourself and that's fantastic and then you're alone with yourself and then the dread sets
so just a lot some alone time to yourself like maybe at night when all your roommates go to bed
or when your family goes to bed or maybe on your days off you're like I really need this day to
just be with myself and enjoy my time allow yourself to be bored and then literally it's
the simplest things that you realize yeah this is I mean just being with myself and sitting and
doing nothing is fun you know but the small things that add up to that are probably going to be the
littlest things like for me it's like writing in my journal reading a chapter in my book painting
cleaning sometimes cleaning I just get in the zone and I have like the perfect time with myself
but to get there I had to get over the dread which was simply just exposure therapy with myself and
allowing myself to be bored and then being like what do I like to do maybe it's going to Target
or TJ Maxx maybe it's like it could be anything but you got to allow yourself to be alone and be
bored to discover those things love you hi my queen I love you so much I really hope that you
could answer this because it's very important to me um what is your um experience with uh like
antidepressants or anxiety medications or both um because I think it's time for me to visit a
psychiatrist and really just probably like get on medication it would be my first time um and i'm
just i'm really wanting to do it but i kind of need like some hope that it'll work because my
anxiety has been so bad like i could be by myself with my friends um with my boyfriend i could have
all my shit together i could have my shit not together there could be drama there could not
be drama like literally like no matter how stable or unstable things are my anxiety is just there
so I think it's time maybe but I don't know can you tell me your experience with it I love you
so much thank you oh my god yeah I loved my my meds that I was on and I feel like they really
helped me um stabilize when I was at a point in time where I needed the extra help to stabilize
Um, I don't know why there's so many like conflicting emotions when it comes to like mental health medication. Listen, if you had an infection, they would give you antibiotics. If you had an STD, they would give you fucking medication for it.
So just like any other illness, if you and your doctor think you need a medication for it, then that's a million percent okay.
And I don't know why there's a stigma around people getting help.
When I was at my lowest point and like the hormones were hormoning and the chemical imbalances were chemical imbalancing, you know, I was at a point in time where it was like I was a victim of my brain and not just my thoughts, but the chemical imbalance.
And I needed to have extra help from a medication to help balance those things.
So then I could start my journey on balancing my emotions and balancing my thought processes and having an easier time doing so, especially with my anxiety, especially with my mood disorder.
um i needed those things to get on the right track and to kind of get the plane off the
fucking ground you know what i mean i needed some fuel to get off the ground um and i think it was
the best decision i ever made for myself once again it is a decision between you and your doctor
a million percent but i don't know why there's a stigma around them i don't know why people have
like thoughts about it like bitch it it's it's a pill like it's a medication um that is going to
help you ultimately so if you think it's going to help you you think it's good for you if your
doctor thinks it's good for you go for it like go for it okay and no amount of time being on them
is going to harm you it just depends on how you feel on them if you also feel like hey this
medication isn't working tell your doctor that switch it up try new things out there's different
ones you can take um be honest about your emotions and what you think the key issues are if it's like
depression if it's anxiety insomnia whatever it may be voice those things um and yeah i think the
number one thing i can give anybody advice wise when it comes to doctors is to advocate for
yourself so don't be shy about things um don't be like afraid to say anything i think they really
are there to help you and to help you find the right thing and if you are getting bad vibes from
them you can always find another doctor but they usually are all pretty good especially within the
psychiatry realm my psychiatrist was fantastic she was great to you know wean me off to things
wean me on to things change things out to work with me on a plan that i thought was beneficial
so try it maybe it will make such a drastic difference in your life for the better do you
ever think smoking is the problem in parentheses i'm currently smoking um it could be it could
possibly be listen there are goods and bads to everything literally everything like uh sugar
food working out skincare like your car like anything there's a good and there's a bad to it
there are many different ways it could go um that's just how everything is in this life so
the weed community likes to be like no it's it's a medicine there's only positives about it i'm like
stop lying to these people because people do become dependent and addicted to it and then
you know people enable that by being like yeah it's a medicine it's okay no listen there's a
good and bad to everything so if you feel like you're using it in a bad way or it is affecting
you negatively it is okay to identify that emotion realize that this habit is not healthy for you
and want to make a change okay i've talked about when i was addicted to weed i literally almost
flunked out of college because instead of feeling my emotions i had a boyfriend with weed constantly
a constant supply so i could just go smoke and not think which is fantastic but also very harmful
if you are avoiding very important things in your life realized it was a negative habit broke up
with the boy got sober for like a year and then was able to re-establish a healthy boundary with
weed now personally i think people should treat weed like they treat a sweet treat you know like
you get your work done you you do your things you do your tasks and then like or maybe the same way
that you treat like a glass of wine and then when you sit down at the end of the day you know you
want to have a glass of wine you want to have a bottle cool amazing you got your shit done you're
not drinking at 8 a.m you know but you're using it as like a wind down thing at the end of the
night i think that's fine eating a little gummy to go to bed cool amazing it's your day off maybe
you do want to have like a little afternoon drink a little sip of a mimosa in the morning amazing
it's your day off I think that's the way weed should be treated personally and with that kind
of boundary placed on it I feel like a lot less people are going to fall into the habit of just
like being high every day and numbing their emotions completely but listen I've been there
you you can get better it is a very simple switch it is a very easy you know you can remove yourself
from that very easily i think people look at tea breaks as something very big and scary
but if you approach it healthily it can be a very easy process um personally i went through
my tea break when i was home with my parents um which definitely did not make it easier
but it kind of kept me accountable um you know i wasn't gonna smoke in their house i didn't smoke
weed around them i didn't want them to know i smoked weed so i just being there made it pretty
easy to not indulge not buying it not having it around me being busy i was working all the time
i was also in school so i was really focused on that um i feel like placing your time into a
thought elsewhere really helps a tea tea break fly by and also cbd cbd is a great way to supplement
during a tea break if you have that like hand to mouth kind of addiction you can use a little pen
a little cbd pen you know you're used to eating a gummy at night guess what they make cbd gummies
they still relax you and stuff but it doesn't have really the psychoactive effects um i love cbd even
as a smoker um like daily i love replacing it with cbd every once in a while when i'm like maybe my
brain just needs a little break love it and as you guys know i love passpacks literally the best
company to ever exist um the only cbd i trust like i don't even know any other cbd company or brand
because this is the only one i have to think about passpacks.com you can use code smoke sesh
for 10% off if you want if you want to try it especially for all my college girlies like or
if you're in school you know you don't need to be smoking during the middle of the day okay just do
your work get it turned in and then have a little treat at the end of the night I think that's the
healthiest balance you could ever ever possibly have someone asked have you ever been with a
frat boy should I avoid that storyline question mark question mark question mark question mark
listen if you're in college you're there to have fun i talked about this last time
college relationships do not get into a serious relationship young just any sort of advice for
any young girl do not get into a serious relationship young and i'm talking under the
age of 22 that's a young girl okay 22 years old you're young you do not need to be in a serious
relationship sure they're cute they're fun you get reassurance you know you have that comfort
but also it takes up so much of your brain space and i think constantly thinking about another
person when during that time you should constantly be thinking about yourself regresses a lot of
girls and that is just simply not fair okay now if it's a relationship where you literally only
think about yourself and it works out beautifully amazingly then cool i don't want to shame love
I don't want to hate on love I've had some relationships that you know were definitely I
was young but you are there to really focus on yourself and have fun and learn what you like and
what you don't like so no don't get into a relationship with a frat boy because guess what
that's exactly where his head is at his head is oh I'm here to have fun and experience my life
so that's where your head should be as well also like i think junior senior year probably more
senior rather than junior because junior year is a little harder senior year is a great time to
start looking for relationships you know everybody you've grown up with them you have you've known
them for a while um you now know yourself more thoroughly that's a great time to actually start
looking and pursuing a relationship but when you're young 22 and under babes you know just
have fun just have fun have him be your little frat boy flirty situation like i know every time
i go to that frat i will have somebody to flirt with and hang out with you know love that love
a cute little flirty crush like what is more fun than that but yeah just you're young have fun
don't take things too seriously okay someone asked how to feel like you're true to you while
being able to make others happy here's the thing if you're true to you you won't have to make others
happy you know like sure there's compromises here and there within reasonable bounds you shouldn't
feel like you're suffocating or succumbing yourself in any sort of way you know it should
feel very rational and reasonable but also if you are yourself the right people will accept you
a million percent and honestly if they don't accept you they aren't the right people period
you know what i mean like if you are 100 yourself the people around you should fully accept you and
if they don't fully accept you that might means they're not that might mean that they're not the
right person to have around you not that you're not the right person to be around them that they're
not the right person to be around you you know you got to start looking at it that way it's not
your fault not that it's their fault but it's like maybe this connection isn't good or healthy
for either of us so be yourself it'll really weed out who's fake very quickly hey hannah i was just
wondering what do you feel is the best way to deal with the pressure coming from people's expectations
of you like whether it's a family member telling you you're not up to what you should be in life
by now or like you're on the street driving and someone yells at you saying you're not going fast
enough i just like want to know what's the best way to look at these things without letting it
stress you out heaps because i feel like there's pressure coming at me left right and center
and i don't know the best way to look at these things without letting it overwhelm me
thank you so much you're such a beautiful person hope you're having a good day bye i think you're
focused too much about the outside and not focus on you so you need to re-center yourself around
you you are the kind of person where i'm like no no you need to practice being a little selfish
you know you're not good at being selfish you're not good at putting yourself first and it is a
practice you gotta practice flipping that person off if they honk at you and being like fuck you
i'm gonna go slower actually don't do that i'm joking i don't want you to get into a fight but
it's like you gotta practice being like mom you know what i don't care what you think about me
and actually it's your job to love me unconditionally not my job to live up to a perfect
person you know like i'm doing my best and that's all that matters you're the kind of person where
i'm like no you need to practice being a little bit more selfish because i was like you i was
highly focused on what people wanted from me what they expected from me who i was supposed to be
and let me tell you this i was a shell of a fucking human because i wasn't looking at myself as a
human i was looking at myself as like a product of all these other things you are your own unique
individual you need to live up to what you want that to be and what you expect that to be and
honestly the only person's opinion that really fucking matters is yourself if you're proud of
yourself if you love yourself if you think you are amazing and wonderful and brilliant that's
really all you need that's all you need period okay practice being selfish practice saying no
i think you could use a little bit more of that in your life and don't take things too seriously
okay i get it all adds up sometimes you're like whoa why did i have all these crazy interactions
all within one span of a time i'm gonna have a little mentee bee for a second i had one of those
this weekend in the walk-in listen i feel like it really humbles you as a person having a nice cry
in this 30 degree walk-in cooler at my job and then going back out to tables with puffy red eyes
and pretending like nothing's happening what can I get for you listen it's not fun and I get it all
adds up sometimes having a good a good cry is a great way to kind of release those emotions keep
it moving you know you can't ball all that up into you but also you can't take things too seriously
some people are just pissed off because they're a pissed off person not because it's your fault
some people have high expectations because they you know they want good for you of course but
their priorities are being put uh first before yours your priorities need to be number one in
your in your eyes in your opinion be a little bit more selfish though you're the kind of person
where i'm like you need to have your main character moment girl okay like lift yourself up
you deserve it all right i'm applying as a bikini barista just left my insurance job hashtag
living love that for you honestly you'll probably make so much fucking money i can't lie stay safe
of course make sure there's someone to walk you to and from your car make sure you know you're
not the only one there um but have fun you're gonna make probably so much money and also use
this time i feel like bikini baristas really need to use this time to make connections like of course
there's going to be a lot of men coming through a lot of people you're going to have a lot of
regulars so like get to know them and if you think they can be like good connections for future
workplaces or for where you want to get in life use that use it this one's in all caps first dates
in early stages please i'm such a nervous girly with these you're nervous because you're excited
okay the possibilities dare to dream you know like have some fun with it it's so nerve-wracking
but it's like you're nervous because you're excited not because you know it's a bad thing
you're nervous because it's a it could possibly be a good thing you know lean into that i think
the number one thing women should do on first dates before going on the date to ease the nerves
is a sit with yourself alone before the date and ask yourself who is a perfect partner to be
to me what are the traits that they have who are they what kind of morals do they have what kind
of person are they and then use that as kind of a guide when seeking people out so then you don't
settle for someone who's a fucking asshole you know like sit with yourself prior and ask yourself
who do I how do I want to be treated what do I expect what do I deserve and what kind of morals
do I think this person should have and then use that as kind of a guide to be like am I making
the right choice I feel like that in turn will ease a lot of nerves because you are kind of
realizing you're the person on the lookout not the person being looked at you know um and then
And number two is I think before a date, if you can, you should always be around some
good girlfriends getting ready.
I don't think you should be alone.
I think the best way to prep for a date, if you have a friend around, if you, you know,
have roommates, whatever it be, like do your makeup with them, have a good time, maybe
make some pre-date drinks, like do a little smoke with your girlies, whatever it may be,
but have some good girl time before to kind of hype you up so you're not so in your head.
you know and have fun oh my god the new early dating stages are such a blast mostly because
you have no idea what's coming and you're still getting to know a person and you have these
little fantasies you know what i mean um and also pro tip on a first date to really break the
nervousness immediately and this helped um on my first date with my boyfriend is i didn't really
know what to do and he was coming over and he came over and the first thing i did i didn't really i
didn't think about it I just walked up to him and I gave him a hug and I was like it's so nice to
meet you sorry there's so many loud cars outside I don't know if you can hear those I really
apologize but I walked up to him and I gave him a hug and he was kind of caught off guard and so
was I honestly I was not expecting that kind of forwardness from myself but but it broke the ice
immediately because we weren't playing this little game of like should I touch him does he touch me
like waiting for that interaction you've had it the ice is broke you can just hang out and be two
people now and always treat a first date like you're hanging out with your best friend if they
can't accept you the way you are when you're hanging out around your best friend because that
is honestly probably you 100 as a person then they're probably not going to accept you and you
don't need that around you so first date tips with hannah honestly those are pretty good i'm surprised
wow dating 101 like those are the perfect tips I could ever give you and don't drink too much
before a date when I say like a cocktail with the girls or a little smoke with the girls like
just like a little indulgence to take the edge off if you're sober love that amazing beautiful
but also like don't get too drunk before a first date pro tip trust me uh this girl said my ex
quote-unquote lost all my thrifted clothes i left at his house i'm gonna lose my mind what the fuck
i would immediately be opening his phone and looking for the apps depop ebay or grailed
because that man is selling those online and he should not be allowed to profit like that
or he threw them away he definitely did not lose them so i would just couldn't i would bookmark
this moment in time so whenever in the future when you're like oh but i miss him no no this
baby of a man petally gave away all of your fucking clothing he does not care about you
move on wow men men they always have a way to surprise me
when does adulting get easier something is always going wrong listen listen there's kind of two
stages in your life tbh maybe three we'll go with three so there's the beginning stage which is like
growing into an adult you know zero to 24 when you're 25 let's say 25 when your frontal lobe
fully develops okay and then there's like 25 to like 65 which is the majority of your life
which is when you're an actual functioning adult you know you're an adult you're trying
you're doing your best but you're a functioning adult and then there's like 65 plus which is like
I'm just retired at this point like I'm doing my fucking thing you know like I do not care
now they assume that you know everything that's going on in your early adult stages such as like
your early 20s but really you're still a fucking baby okay but they're taking like a baby and
plopping it into the real world you're basically an infant again but everybody's expecting you to
know what the fuck's going on you don't and that's okay but you're gonna slowly figure it out based
on just the things that life is going to give to you like taxes and how to finance and you know
bank accounts and you know important life lesson things like that getting insurance and you know
car payments and all those fun things and yeah it'll feel like a lot all at once but it's because
it's a new thing that you're learning and trying to figure out okay so give yourself a little break
you'll figure it out okay you gotta weigh your options you know like oh my god what credit card
do i get like what insurance do i get you know you'll figure it out but it's gonna come from
experience and just taking those things one at a time and taking that moment in time to really
problem solve because you're gonna have a lot of them early on and that's okay because they're all
brand new and that's why it feels like a lot but once you get it done once the next time will be
easier and then soon enough it'll feel like second nature and you will know so much about it but
it just feels like a lot because you have no experience in it so be kind to yourself don't
be afraid to ask for help number one piece of advice i can give anybody like whatsoever um i
feel like someone asked um oh yeah they were like i need to change my classes but i'm terrified to
ask for help for anybody you're gonna sink okay adulting is hard figuring things out is hard
it's okay to email somebody to call somebody and ask for help and be like hey what does this mean
what am i doing do some research you know but if you take all that on and you're unable to figure
it out and you don't ask for help you're gonna sink okay and this is a sink or swim game so
girlies you better get up okay don't be afraid to ask for help i learned that when i lost my
scholarship and i literally called my financial advisor and i cried and i was like this is what
i'm doing and i'm so sorry and i was making bad choices but i'm ready to pull my life together
and you know what i asked that person for help and he said yeah you can have thirty thousand dollars
i do believe in you and that moment in time right there i learned holy fuck all it took was one phone
call and this man gave me thirty thirty thousand dollars like if they say no who fucking cares but
if they say yes the possibilities are endless so don't be afraid to ask for help ever ever
hey girl hey oh my gosh i want to say i love you your podcast has helped me through so much
and i'm ever so grateful that i like i bumped into this podcast anyways um i had a quick question
and how do you save your money you know I'm a girl I like to shop I love to eat like I'm a big
spender I love thrifting I love doing all this those things but how do you save up for your own
space because that's what I want but material things are just getting in the way and I'm trying
to look past it and it's so hard oh my god it's so hard but anyways yeah and then I'm a business
owner. I work two other jobs and I'm a student. How do I create time for myself? Okay, I'm running
out of time. Love you. Bye. Well, you know the issue. You need to overcome the issue and it's
only going to come from self-control and setting boundaries with yourself and really enacting those
boundaries. You know, A, to save money, I need to B, spend less. And I can't control the things
that I do spend money on that are like bills those are non-negotiables so I gotta look at
everything outside of bills such as random gas station stops or yeah random thrift store halls
or oh online shopping at this time and when you figure out your triggers that make you spend money
and you find a way to kind of deter them that's how you're gonna save money so maybe it's like
oh I drive by this thrift store every day and it's so easy to just take a right into the parking lot
let's switch up your route okay let's find a new way to get to work so you aren't driving by that
thrift store every single day and thinking about it or driving by that coffee shop every single
day and thinking about it let's get it off your mind physically let's also change your roots then
you have kind of a small new shift in your daily routine that's going to feel like a new start and
that's going to feel nice and it's going to help you stick to it and when you do go thrifting
because everything's about balance and you should allow yourself to you know go out every once in a
while limit yourself ask yourself do i really need this am i gonna wear this am i really gonna sew
this so it fits me or am i just gonna let it sit in my closet do i have like five outfits in mind
that i can wear this with and the answer is no then you don't need it and that kind of mindset
has really changed the way i thrift um i leave the thrift store with nothing more than i leave
there with something honestly because i will sit in there for like 30 minutes and be like do i
actually need this and like talk out the pros and cons not just like an impulse purchase once you
cut out those like eight dollar coffees every single day you'll be surprised how much money you
make or like save it's the small things that really start to add up it's not the big things like
rent that are holding you back it's the random purchases here and there delete your card off
your fucking phone okay you know how many online purchases have been deterred because i simply
don't want to get up from my bed and walk and grab my wallet like let's be real delete your
card off your phone only have a physical card the one thing my parents did when i was younger is
they only gave me an atm card like from my own bank account they never gave me a card for their
money hell no but they I was only allowed an ATM card for my own money so if I wanted to spend
money I had to go to an ATM to take out cash and then spend that cash on the thing that I wanted
so it was very hard for me to get to my money so it was very hard for me to spend it and I really
had to think out what I truly wanted and a lot of the times I didn't really want those things
honestly the only times that I spent money and I actually think it's a good purchase is when I go
out to eat with a friend and we sit there for hours and we're chit-chatting and we're having
a great time and I have like a $30 bill like now that's a good use of my money maybe it's you know
I really need a new pair of pants and I'm doing research I'm trying to find a good type of pants
and I've looked it over for weeks so I'm going to allow myself to buy these pair of pants because
i really need a new pair and i've been looking into this brand and it looks like it's going to
be perfect for me that's how you spend your money spend it wisely these small things these small
purchases aren't going to fix that hole in your heart okay and they're definitely not going to
make you save money you can always cook at home food at home always tastes better from food
somewhere else always we had like general sauce chicken last night we're having tiki masala
tonight I'm gonna make enchiladas and all of these have leftovers then I have lunch for the
next day so I don't have to think about lunch and it's good food that I made for myself from
practice you know it takes time to learn how to cook for yourself to learn what recipes you like
um but it'll save you so much money in the long run a million percent avoid your triggers figure
out what triggers you and change it up also it's okay to spend money every once in a while
same thing with like a diet if you set yourself to such a harsh thing like a high standard to
live by it's gonna be hard to live up to it and then you're gonna disappoint yourself and then
you're gonna spiral so allow yourself to you know spend money every once in a while that's okay
it's okay to treat yourself on a hard day to a little coffee or to a mug from the thrift store
that's all right but don't treat yourself to a binge do you know what i mean every time i make
account grows I feel so much better than when I spend money on something that I don't need
like the satisfaction I get from my bank account growing and saving money is way more fulfilling
than the short-term satisfaction that I get from shopping because it's a long-term satisfaction I
know I'm investing in my future and that as an adult feels so much more comfortable and so much
more inspiring than any short-term satisfaction so keep that in mind i love you you can do this
what to do if my boyfriend doesn't like it when i'm meeting with other men in quotations my male
friends um it's so hard it's so hard because he's just jealous and he's just ragingly jealous but
also that is not an emotion he should be putting on to you that is an emotion that he needs to deal
with within himself um that is a problem that he needs to fix within himself if you love him and
you are there one million percent for him you will not be around people who would pose a threat to
him or would compromise your relationship in any way you would be around people and men who respect
your relationship and want to see you grow and thrive within it and respect your boyfriend that's
is a natural part of a relationship he should understand that um and if he just simply is not
getting it and he's making it your problem and he is succumbing you to a smaller version of who you
are and is trying to control you and manipulate you in a sense which i do see a lot um with men
who have jealousy issues in relationships that might be a cord you need to cut loose i'm not
gonna lie um it's just not healthy and it's not a problem you need to take on you're not here to
fix men i truly and fully wholeheartedly believe as a very jealous person myself as a recovered
jealous person that that is a issue that i needed to sit with myself and figure out because it came
from like a place of lack of love for myself um and it came from random insecurities that i was
putting in my head but i didn't want to place that on my partner because they were doing nothing
wrong they were hanging out with people who you know loved and respected our relationship and i
knew did not quote unquote pose a threat now if you're hanging out with people who don't care
about your relationship then you're not helping that situation really and there might be a reason
that they are jealous or upset that you're hanging out with them and i get that because my ex used to
hang out with literally a girl who they had gotten together with he's like no i didn't sleep with her
she just sucked my dick i was like oh my god that doesn't make things better what the fuck and like
they were hanging out when we were dating and i didn't feel comfortable with that and i feel like
that that's a reasonable boundary to place like this girl does not respect my relationship i don't
want you hanging out with her that's normal it's fine but if that was just a random girl who was
a lifelong friend of his who they never thought about sexually they never got together sexually
there was no history there was no future you know they they liked me as a person i like them as a
person and i was still being like no you can't hang out with them because i'm jealous and i'm
scared of what you're gonna do that's unhealthy that is very unhealthy and that's an emotion that
uh they need to work on with themselves and straight up like i love being a loving healthy
partner but sometimes you can't baby these men sometimes you need to be like grow up this is an
issue you need to figure out with yourself and i'm tired of you making me feel bad for having
friends so figure it out or we're gonna wake up and break up sometimes a little tough love is
necessary someone said is something up with the stars i'm so fucking emotional haha yeah no there's
a lot going on right now there's a lot going on which is why i was talking about like you know
just high energies right now there's a lot of emotions and high energies going on within the
in the universe good and bad but so we're kind of on the tail end of a venus retrograde which
is really making all of us look at our interpersonal relationships and ask ourselves like
okay so what do we like what do we dislike what are we valuing you know like the first date list
i gave you earlier like write down the morals you want your person to have and how you want to feel
in the relationship and what you truly value i feel like we're all collectively doing that
for interpersonal relationships right now like what do we want what are we looking for um
and that's what venus retrograde is bringing specifically within interpersonal relationships
but then we're about to get hit with a mercury retrograde tomorrow tomorrow mercury retrograde
in Virgo, which is really making us, you know, we had this time to really think it over. What do we
like? What do we dislike? And now we're just kind of fucking tired of it. And Mercury retrograde in
Virgo is going to make that change happen. So we don't have to deal with it anymore. I know. So
that's why I feel like there's high emotions, people are swinging high upwards, people are
swinging high down you know or high down swinging low like you know those emotions are just on a
roller coaster ride um and things are changing quickly new things are happening but it's a very
exciting time you know if you give in to change and you don't fight against it and you just roll
with the wave you know you go with the flow it'll be a lot easier of a time okay i pinky promise
you know what you don't want in this life now is the time to really sit down and be like i'm done
putting up with this bullshit i'm ready to make a change here's my five-step plan thank you virgo
um and now we're gonna get some shit done in this life it's exciting it is exciting change
doesn't have to always be scary we talked about that in the last episode um it's not always a
terrifying thing it can also be a really fun enlightening thing um just depends the way you
look at it so cry it out if you need I had to do that last week literally crying in the walk-in
freezer at work scary um but big things are coming and you are destined for great things so
don't be too afraid hi bestie um I took a gummy and I'm a little high right now but I love you so
much and basically what I wanted to say was that I don't know I just feel like I hit rock bottom
I moved back into my parents place and like I feel like everyone sees me as a failure and like
I don't know I just feel like I don't want to care that they see me as a failure you know what
I mean so I mean it's just hard though because I just care about what they think of me but I
also don't I don't know it's crazy right now but anyways any advice on like how to not care like
what other people think so yeah love you bye here's the thing it's not rock bottom it's a restart
okay you're just restarting that's okay the most successful person I know in my own personal life
is my brother he's like a highly successful lawyer beautiful family amazing beautiful I've
always looked up to him as a person I will never be that and that's okay I've accepted that but
even he as successful as he is has gone through hard times and had has had his quote-unquote
rock bottom moments but I really think they were just restarting moments especially being 10 years
younger than him and having a little bit more of a level head and being like why are people freaking
out about this um yeah I feel like sometimes you just got to move back in with your parents
sometimes you got to be like hey I made the wrong decision I think it takes more balls and more
respect for yourself to be like no I fucked up I got to restart than to keep powering through a
situation that you knew was bad for you like that in turn is you making the right decision which
means you're on the right path it might not feel like it you know and it might take you a little
bit to get back on your feet or to figure out what you want to do and that's okay but that's
what you need right now and you had the guts to make that decision and I'm proud of you it's not
you know you didn't hit rock bottom it's just a restart you got to frame the way you look at it
oh this is a good one someone asked what do you seek to do to be everyday loyal to your essence
I feel like it just honestly has a lot to do with my daily routine
like my daily routine is very important to me and I feel like I've gotten it down to a science
um and it is completely wrapped around who I am as a person so it's like wake up I make sure I
have time to myself in the morning like am I out of the hiccups I'm so sorry I have like a good
hour to myself in the morning to just chill be on my phone read a chapter of my book not have to
rush my coffee really sip it um and then i try and make sure i put together a good outfit that
i enjoy that really encapsulates who i am um and the vibe for the day i feel like that's very
important and then i really try and make sure i get out to do one to two things a week that are
like a new activity that i've been wanting to try or that i really enjoy maybe it's going to a coffee
shop going to the park going on a walk gonna go to a new restaurant whatever it is new exciting
things are incorporated into my kind of weekly routine and if not i really make sure i have a
very chill wind down routine for the end of the night to take a hot ass fucking shower maybe have
myself a little shower cocktail have a little dab make myself a good dinner watch a good nostalgic
movie you know and flip through magazines and read and collage do some artwork whatever it may be
maybe a little face mask you know I feel like the essence of who I am is a very chill laid-back
person and I really value my time with myself especially the time that I have just have fun
and be me um so that is incorporated in my everyday daily routine um and i feel like your
daily routine is really beneficial to discovering who you are and to making yourself into who you
want to be there's this book called atomic habits i really recommend it if you're the kind of person
who is like i don't know what to do with my daily life i don't know how to connect to myself
daily um it's a great book just explaining and incorporating different ideas to show you that
everything that you do every day really adds up to who you're gonna be um and to think about the
now while also thinking about the future while also respecting yourself in the now and respecting
yourself in the future it's good it's a good start if you're looking for a little self-help
book that's probably my recommendation for the day um atomic habits love it someone asked girl
how are we supposed to get freaky with long nails I love you so much I love you you know
beauty is pain and well here's the thing if I was getting with a girl I would not have long
acrylic nails for her sake you know I feel like that's just a respectful thoughtful thing to do
like I'm just gonna get short nails you know I don't want this to be a painful situation
I don't want an acrylic to pop off inside there I'm sure that it's like not that dangerous and
there's like ways that you can get around it uh but you know if I was getting with a girl I would
definitely not have long acrylic nails now because I hate I hate the look of the two short nails
like you're either getting long acrylics or you're not the two short nails it's just like I know where
there's where those fingers are going and I don't want to think about that you know especially when
I'm handing you your morning coffee at work I'm like did you wash those anyways I think you just
go short acrylic or short nails um if they're going inside anybody just for the other person's
sake but like if they're not going inside anybody you know you might stab them a couple times on
accident that's okay beauty is pain accidents are gonna happen during sex just laugh it off and keep
moving you know like listen you wanted me to have long stiletto cherry red nails i'm so sorry if i
accidentally stab your dick with them but you'll get over it someone said hi i was wondering how
you feel about plan b just took one for the first time i don't exactly know um yeah i've taken my
fair share of plan b oh my god the cicadas are so loud it's a midwestern summer that's for sure
my god they popped out late though and i'm like they're everywhere oh my god um anyways
plan b oh yeah i've taken oh i've taken plenty i've taken plenty in my life i used to be a very
careless girly what can i say it's just who i was and i had to have my learning moments to stop
being so careless um but i think taking plan b is better than having a baby if that's what you're
asking me um no there's nothing wrong with you it's a very normal thing don't beat yourself up
everybody has to take one at some point in their life the only thing i don't want people doing with
plan b is taking it as if it's birth control plan b is not birth control it is what it's called plan
b you need to have a plan a in place whether it's a condom whether it's you know your monthly birth
control or a arm birth control or an iud whatever it may be you need to have something that is a
plan a plan b is for plan b so use it accordingly because it does it's pretty intense on your system
and i mean that's okay to have occasionally but it's not okay to have constantly trust me from
my own personal experience but yeah i love a plan b you i've heard you can get them for free from
planned parenthood don't know if that's true but fifty dollars is what they costed when i was
younger and that shit's crazy especially being a young broke like student I was like $50 also if
he nuts on you that man better be fucking paying for plan b that's all I fucking know someone said
it's early but Halloween costume ideas for this year so last year was a very kind of like I mean
it was simple but it was elaborate like there was a lot of components that went with it and the older
i get the less serious i'm taking halloween and the more i'm just trying to have fun with it so i
feel like elevated basic halloween costumes are gonna be the vibe this year i know we're gonna
see a lot of barbies i know we're gonna see a lot of like fun big characters but like i think i'm
just gonna be a clown like a hot sexy clown like that's the vibe i'm going for or like you know
hot sexy devil or angel I love a good like styled hot basic costume like done in a way that nobody
has ever seen it before I love that but I really think this year for Halloween like elevated basic
Halloween costumes are gonna be it hey Hannah how are you I'm Julie I'm from Argentina that's why
I have an accent and I just wanted to say that I love you so much and I love your podcast and the
thing I wanted to ask you is if you have any advice meeting new people especially boys because
I tend to get really shy when making the first step and I just never know what to say and I
really don't like dating apps so my only option is to meet boys in like person like at a bar and
I really don't know where to meet them either so if you have any advice on that I'd love to hear it
and I hope you're doing amazing and I love you yeah bars are a great place to meet people I'm
like you I'm like I want to meet people organically naturally I love meeting people just like out and
about and the best people that you are gonna meet are people you meet during your kind of like
everyday life so if you like going out to the bars with your friends then that's a great place to
meet people you know spark up a conversation introduce yourself ask be like hey you want to
buy me a drink you know what are you up to tonight um if you feel like the conversation from there
is natural organic just it's okay to be a little bit shy but i think you'd be surprised how well
it goes when you simply put yourself out there and if it doesn't feel good like if you spark up
a conversation you're like eh i'm just not feeling it i think it's also important to note that you
can walk away from that situation and be like well it's nice meeting you i gotta go you know
um but like coffee shops your favorite restaurant um anywhere honestly uh you can always if you see
a cutie i think it is so fun and spontaneous to be like hey once i got a joint handed to me with
his phone number on it and i thought that was a fantastic way to um you know get someone's number
hand out joints with your phone number on it no i'm just kidding but really you gotta like
when i when i used to go to the bars and i used to flirt with guys i would remember that it's not
that serious like i'm not out there looking for a husband i'm out there looking to have a good time
and if i think that guy can provide me with a good time then cool i'm gonna put myself out there
what's the worst that's gonna happen they're gonna say no cool well thank you for being honest with
me now i can move on to the next person move on to continuing having fun um and it is a little
nerve-wracking and scary but that's because it's new so understand that newness is not always bad
um i think you'd be surprised where you can get with a simple hi my name is you know love it so
fun introduce yourself have a good time um just have fun the the most that you can while you're
young i think that's such an important life lesson to learn someone asked can we talk about friends
who take advantage of you um i feel so naive right now i feel this and i hear this anybody
taking advantage of you is never fun or never good um never feels good because you put trust
in a person and they betray your trust and that simply hurts two plus two equals four um the only
thing you can really do about the situation is how you handle it and what you choose to do
with that feeling and what they did to you um when the people around me hurt me i don't feel shame in
voicing how you made me feel and why i'm hurt and then i take a moment away i give them space to
think about what they did and I give me space to think about how that made me feel and what I want
to take into my life and then I will also allow them within their own time to apologize and I am
a very big forgiver you know I understand people fuck up I hear you I see you and I appreciate you
being like hey you know that was really shitty of me and i'm so sorry you know we're all humans
we're all gonna make mistakes um but also if that person doesn't forgive you in a way that you think
is good enough or you know doesn't truly take account for what they did and or maybe doesn't
want to forgive you then that's simply not a person you should have in your life what like at
all you know um yeah it sucks to be hurt but at least their true colors were shown and at least
you know who they truly are so now you kind of have the power of deciding do i want them in your
life but it's not your fault for getting for getting played you know like it's never your
fault for getting hurt or for getting played like there's no wall you could have put up or what some
boundary you could have put up to make this not happen that's just not a thing there's
no time machine for you to go back and change simply them being a human and fucking up and
that's just a part of life if you think they're not going to become a better person and grow from
it and apologize and live up to that apology and be a good friend then listen to that and don't
allow them back into your life you know someone asked are catching up with exes a good idea
no no no they're not i literally have nothing else to elaborate on like it's just a hard no
it is especially as someone who kind of like i know i have a habit of living in the past and i
know i have a habit of seeing the best in people when people show me that they're a fucking asshole
and aren't deserving of being in my life i really need to take account for that and be like
i don't care i'm like there's no certain thing they're gonna say for you to finally feel good
about it or for you to finally feel closure that is simply gonna come from yourself it's never
gonna come from the other person if you've had like five years in between then maybe maybe 10
even but if it was recent like within the past year even two years no I do not think you should
be meeting up or talking with any of your exes they are an ex for a reason okay okay someone
asked um I want to know if you have a smoking playlist and if so can you share it yeah my
profile on Spotify is public um it's smoke sesh one word it's gonna be a picture of me in a pink
fuzzy bunny hat um and all my playlists are on there they're all public go listen uh the one
i'm listening to right now my current playlist is called da baddest one word um i just throw all my
music in one playlist and categorize that as like an era of time and then when i once i feel like
i'm out of that era of time i create a new playlist and put all my music in that so it's not like
categorized by feeling i don't know how people do that uh it's very much so just a conglomerate of
the songs that i'm listening to at the time so check it out smoke such one word on spotify
hi hannah um i'm a really big fan of your podcast and i would love it if you can answer my questions
that would be like amazing but the main question i really had was um how to live life to the fullest
you know I'm getting older I'm figuring things out and I want to know how do I decide that it's
the right path for me am I following my heart and I just want to know your advice on that
and how to live a happy and fulfilled life thank you love you I think the simplest way I can answer
this is say yes to the things you want to say yes to and say no to the things you want to say no to
and you'll never regret a thing in your life you know like well to be fair you're gonna have
regrets don't take them too seriously learn from them move on don't let them control your life but
when you want to say yes to something say yes to it that road trip with your friends and you only
have 300 but you got a week of time and you don't know what else to do with it budget work hard go
on that fucking road trip you know oh i want to move across the country and go to this college
but i don't know if it's gonna work out fuck your fears go do it try it see if it works for you
oh i don't really want to do this my parents want me to do it but i know it's not good for me
say no say i know this isn't gonna work out for me because i simply don't have a passion for it
you know your friends are going somewhere that you don't want to go you'd rather stay in for
the night say no i'm gonna stay in for the night i'm gonna do a face mask and chill here and have
a glass of wine it is that simple i think living your life to the fullest doesn't have to mean
i'm flying to paris every week and i have a million dollars in the bank account i think
it's simply listening to those small gut intuitions and following them um things are
going to change you know you're not going to be able to write down your life path and follow it
completely i know who i'm envisioning at like myself at 75 is going to be completely different
than who i truly am gonna be at that point in time because there's no way in guessing so stop
trying to guess do what feels right in a healthy positive way and listen to your gut and don't
deny it um and fuck other people's opinions fuck what they think about you live your life to the
fullest by really doing what you think is good in your everyday situations a million percent
that is literally the best most you know direct advice i can give you to living your best life
um every good opportunity that i have had come my way has come from me failing somewhere else
every you know good opportunity that i've had come my way has come from me not being afraid for
to stand up for what i want and really speak it into existence um and it took a while it takes
practice and it takes you know working yourself up to the point but i guarantee once you kind of
get on that path of listening to who you are and standing up for who you are your relationship with
yourself will be stronger your relationship with the people around you will be stronger
and just the joy that you get from life will be at its ultimate highest but once again you do not
have to be catching flights to Paris every single week I know we all have this like Instagram ideal
life that we would like to live but sometimes simply having a picnic at the park will be just
as fun as you going on a two-week long vacation it depends on the people you're around it depends
on the mood you're in it depends on what you truly want to do in that point in time in your life
and following through with it you can really make anything happen i guarantee it there's always a
way to get to where you want to go it truly is how bad do you want it um and sometimes things aren't
good for you and the universe is going to put a stop to it sometimes you're not on the right path
and things are going to get changed sometimes you know life's going to get a little topsy-turvy
it doesn't mean things are going wrong. Once again, it's just a restart. You're now being
put on the right path. There was a fork in the road in the forest and you had to be pushed onto
the right one. All right. So dare to dream. It's okay to fail. Say yes to the things you want to
say yes to. Say no to the things you want to say no to. And remember, we're here to have a little
fun okay you can make the best times in any situation in any point in place you simply
gotta look out for it so look out for yourself and have some fun that's what living your best
life is all about anyways i think that's it oh my gosh thank you guys for being here another
beautiful little episode of smoke sesh i had a blast i hope you guys did too remember during
this mercury retrograde time to not take things so seriously to you know embrace the change to
be kind to yourself and to other people around you um to really focus on that tlc self-care and also
banish the things from your life that are not serving you this is the perfect time to do so
okay so if you're feeling it lean into it now is the time to enact change in your life and don't
be afraid change can be anxiety inducing but that doesn't mean it's bad it just means there's
something new and exciting and brilliant beautiful on the way to you i love you all so very much
thank you for being here thank you for being you think you're being honest with yourself and with
me and sharing a piece of yourself with me i'm glad we can all feel this kind of chaos energy
together i had this was a fun episode we covered a lot of different topics i was trying to keep
them short so we could get to a lot because i had 4 000 questions my god um but i love you all
have an amazing rest of your week and i will see you all so very soon
