Terms apply. listen everybody needs a fairy godmother you know just somebody to look out for them some people call me their fairy smoke mother others their internet big sister but you can call me hannah the host of smoke sash so come hang out let's light up and talk everything there is to life the good the bad the ugly the embarrassing i've got a story for it all okay cute hello hotties welcome back to another beautiful little episode of smoke sesh i'm so excited to be back with you guys um on this beautiful little sunny amazing thursday i am looking at myself and i'm very pale i look like a ghost apologies for that i will be self-tanning
Starting point is 00:01:17 next week that will be a part of my valentine's day get ready um situation but for debt for today we're gonna let the pale we're just gonna let it rock honestly like literally my camera doesn't know what to do because i'm so white oops anyways um welcome back i hope you guys really enjoyed tuesday's episode it was a fun one i had a blast on tuesday with you guys um we had a lot to talk about a lot to catch up on but even more questions yet to today um I don't have a lot to catch you guys up on there's really only two days in between the um days that I record so not a lot really happens your girl be working working out I've been pretty consistent with working out once I got through those first kind of like three weeks in January uh trying to work out every day it really
Starting point is 00:02:10 became part of my routine and I really started looking forward to it. Like I remember I was sick and I was like, do you think I can get on the floor and do a workout routine though? Crazy. That's actually psychotic of me, but it was so ingrained in my routine and I found so much comfort in it that I was like, can I though? And I did one time, but that was cause I got too high. But anyways, um, yeah, I've been working out, trying to get outside. Me and my boyfriend went for a little walk the other day. Fantastic. Um, it's kind of nice when you have a friend to go for a walk with you or just anyone in general. Like if you don't know what to do with your friends, be like, Hey, do you want to go to the park and go for a walk? Easy. When my friend was
Starting point is 00:02:52 in town still, um, during her travel nursing phase, we used to go on walks a lot and it was just so nice to have a friend. If you never have time to feel like you can catch up with friends and you need to FaceTime someone perfect time to do that while on a walk want to listen to a podcast and don't have time to do so go for a walk there's a perfect excuse my mom was always on walks growing up and I really only went for walks when I was like mentally ill and I was like I gotta get out of this goddamn fucking house you guys are driving me insane I just like busted out and go for a walk but now I realize why people use that as like a general everyday coping tool because it's so nice um get outside get some fresh air get some sunlight in your veins let's be real
Starting point is 00:03:35 what feels better than that but yeah don't watch to catch you guys up on i have some fun exciting things coming soon for you all i know you all were so sad when the got weed t-shirts sold out um i'm planning on doing another drop of those i also would like to do them in more colors the last shirts were black with the silver but I maybe want to do some colorful rhinestones such as pink or green on like a white t-shirt just a fun little hot going out top and I also have some hoodies coming out soon so stay tuned as well as some smoking accessories that's a little harder to get a hold of though because I'm picky I am picky about my smoking accessories uh someone asked where I get my smoking accessories um and things of the sort I'm
Starting point is 00:04:28 still sick so unfortunately I will not be smoking with you guys today I'm sorry don't don't log out don't close this yet please stay it'll be fun um but I get most of my smoking accessories from canna style I feel like they kind of are the best around I do like what are they called they're called like eddie parker they're a little bit more high-end um and i wouldn't invest in the higher higher pieces like the 100 200 pieces but they're small little things like um their stash jars or their wraps are pretty cute and then my go-to wraps always are usually blazy susan's um what's better than pink are you kidding me um so yeah blazy susan everything's pink or purple what's better than that um but yeah those are kind of my go-to uh smoking accessories pieces
Starting point is 00:05:23 pipes bongs stuff like that if you really are trying to get for cheap I say just go to your local smoke shop and see what they have um you're that's probably going to be your best option for a cheaper cute-ish piece um but if you really are looking for something like designer and fun and really really um out there or very artistic in that sort of sense I would recommend canna style all the way um let's see have you been painting anything recently I have not and I need to I need to get into it soon I actually buy airbrush machine so I was airbrushing some hoodies and stuff uh for a while but I haven't painted in a while and I have been craving I've been wanting to do so so maybe I will today I don't know I got my day off got an afternoon to myself might as
Starting point is 00:06:13 well um but last year one of my challenges was I really wanted to just paint one big painting every month and I started off strong I did like a six foot by two foot painting um January and then another huge one February and then it continued until March and then I kind of lost site of that project because then I started making more things for you guys and kind of pushing my creative talents into a different atmosphere into a different kind of section of creativity and I get this question a lot people are like I'm not artistic but I want to be I don't believe in people not being artistic we as humans we just come with the natural ability to create art like sure you might you might not be able to sit down and draw a human face
Starting point is 00:07:04 perfectly but that doesn't mean you're not artistic you know maybe you really enjoy making music maybe you really enjoy knitting maybe you really enjoy writing reading singing anything I truly believe all humans are artistic and my biggest pet peeve is when people are like I just can't do art yes you can yes you can it just might be in a different avenue and I think um creatives find themselves getting stuck and find themselves in a rut when they try and force themselves into like a narrative into a place that they just simply don't feel comfortable which it's good to push yourself out of your comfort zone but only if you're curious enough to actually come out the other side on top and having learned something so i just say try anything try anything
Starting point is 00:07:55 try everything if you find yourself wanting to try something go for it but you are creative you are artistic and you will be able to create something amazing and beautiful because all humans have the talent to do so some people are more skilled than others naturally some people put in the work so they're more skilled really just depends on how bad you want it but anybody can create anything and I think we saw that especially during the pandemic the pandemic of gave us so much time to really just look forward to the small things in life and really just take note of what truly brings us joy and what small things in our life do we need to continue to bring continue to do to bring joy to us and a bunch of people learn how to knit a bunch of
Starting point is 00:08:42 people learn how to make rugs a bunch of people learn how to paint start their own clothing brand small things like that you don't necessarily have to do it in the hopes of creating a brand or creating a new company sometimes it's just like I need something to do after work that's not going insane and maybe I'm gonna pick up knitting maybe I'm gonna pick up quilting writing anything of the sort but I really recommend especially if you're not a creative person to lean into the more creative sides of things and challenge yourself you really can do a lot if you put your mind to it but no I haven't been painting recently I have really been working on my overall kind of brand in a sense but more so just like creating items that I want personally but then
Starting point is 00:09:27 I can also give to you guys as well I think there's nothing cooler than designing something and seeing someone wear it and that is just like I it's so fun to see that so thank you everybody else who supports me through that and buys the things I create you are amazing and you're beautiful and I will never put a product out there that I do not enjoy and use consistently um I'm not trying to do this for a cash grab it truly is just like a passion of mine um and I'm really trying to lean into passions how many plants do I have um a lot I have well all of these behind me are pothos plants they go crazy they just need a little bit of sunlight a little bit of water they'll tell you when they're sad like droop a little bit but I have probably 20
Starting point is 00:10:16 plus plants um last apartment I had like 10 ish this apartment I've been getting some bigger ones um and people have been really sweet and gifting me some as well my parents have gifted me a few I've had regulars at my work bring in some plants for me managers and they've seemed to be thriving but I also as you can tell have a lot of sunlight in this apartment I have a bunch of windows um if you need something that's low light easy to take care of i say go with the pothos plants they you really can't go wrong um they will survive anything anything you'll see them get sad as long as you give them water they'll perk right back up and when you buy one pothos plant you actually have 10 because if you take this little piece and you just cut it off right where there's
Starting point is 00:11:06 like a little node you'll see like a little knob cut it off put it in some water let it grow three roots boom now you have a new plant get a new pot pot it i thrift all my pots from uh thrift stores don't forget the home good sections in the thrift stores i find the best stuff there but i love plants especially during like summer where maybe i'm working inside and can't get outside or winter where everything's fucking dead having like my home be full of life and also giving myself a reminder to not only take care of myself but also take care of the things around me is really beneficial especially for my extra depressed crazy brain sometimes I just need that reminder like hey girl when's the last time you drank water also when's the last time your plants
Starting point is 00:11:51 drank water it's kind of just like a physical reminder tips on how to quit your job because you're depressed and miserable they're valid I feel like a lot of people are depressed and miserable in their jobs all you have to do is utilize that like anger and that sadness from your job and put it into something productive I love spite I love being spiteful and people are like that's not healthy that's not good for you we shouldn't be feeling that way you should not want to be spiteful but here's the thing I always use spite in a healthy positive way I feel like a lot of people use spite and then kind of just like succumb to a horrible awful version of themselves and become worse than the person then that hurt them that's not healthy spite I use spite in a
Starting point is 00:12:36 sense where it's like fuck you I have no choice but to do better so then you look at me and you're like damn I fucked up big time so you kind of can do the same thing with your job as well um while you're at a job every single successful adult individual that I have seen unhappy at their job what they'll do is at their job they'll be like applying for other jobs while they're clocked in going to uh interviews directly after work or taking a lunch break going to interviews and then as soon as they find a new job that's better than the one they hate because they hate it for reasons they can you know be on the lookout for this new job possibly um having the same red flags get the new job quit the old job bye-bye now you have something new to look forward to
Starting point is 00:13:22 and exciting and you've moved your way up in life but the longer you sit in that discomfort and that anger without doing anything the more frustrated you're gonna be and the less likely you are to do something so as soon as you feel that way act on it I am pro quitting jobs but I'm pro quitting jobs only if you have another job lined up that is it do not quit a job and then put yourself in a rut because you don't have something else lined up it's okay to suffer a little bit in order to grow but don't make yourself suffer unnecessarily don't quit your job and then be shit out of luck a job is better than no job even if it sucks i'm kind of there though right now i'm like i cannot be in the service industry forever
Starting point is 00:14:06 i'm pro service industry in the sense where it's like if you are a young person and you need money go work at a fucking restaurant like go get a serving job get that fucking cash put it away in the bank save but also I can't be 45 and doing this no hate to the people who are career servers they make a shit ton of money they make hundreds of thousands of dollars like it's insane I just personally don't see myself doing that long term so now I'm kind of like pivoting and I'm like hmm what are we gonna do what are we gonna do are we gonna become Wendy Williams talk show are we gonna keep doing this podcast maybe bring on guests what are we gonna do and I love having that question of like and not being afraid of it um in the past it used to be like oh fuck
Starting point is 00:14:54 this cycle of my life is coming to an end what do I do I'm panicking but now it's like I can do anything what should I do what opportunity should I take that is so exciting to me and I love that feeling a little nervy but also big things are always in store for you hi hannah um first off i love the pod um second i kind of just wanted to ask you um about my boyfriend so basically um he's very very messy just kind of like never does the dishes and never puts away his food you know laundry won't do it for weeks and weeks um floor is disgusting just kind of like you know basic stuff he doesn't do but i love him and um you know he's we get along really well and like i don't know like that's kind of the only thing wrong is just that like he's actually
Starting point is 00:15:47 low-key disgusting he will leave out like beer bottles and pizza boxes from like two weeks ago and i brought it up like three or four times kind of saying like you know i can't do this blah blah blah and he's always been like oh i'm so sorry i'll fix it i'll fix it but he still hasn't and I don't know if I should break up with him over this or if there's like a better solution thanks okay valid valid seems like you've gone all options you're like hey clean up but also this is your life I'm not gonna nag you to do shit I'm not your fucking mom I'm not gonna clean up after you um I don't I don't think you guys live together because you're like the way you're phrasing it if you live together it's a big op it's a big that's serious okay you cannot take
Starting point is 00:16:33 on all the responsibilities if you live together and if he's making the place a mess for you both to live in you need to be like this is an equal household and you need to get on your fucking knees and sweep the fucking floor you need to go do your laundry or else i'm moving out if you want to live together then you got to get that shit figured out now if you don't live together and you live separately and just his place is a mess I think the best thing you could do is say I don't want to come over because your place is gross I don't really want to hang out I'm just gonna I'm gonna be at my house because it's clean he'll get his shit together he will get it cleaned up and be like I feel like your mom when I nag you and this place is gross and I don't want to be around
Starting point is 00:17:19 anything gross and I want to stay at my house because it's clean and if you want to come over here, that's fine, but I'm not going over there. That's literally all you have to say. I don't think you necessarily need to break up, but I think you need to, it sounds like you've been like lightly telling him, hey, this is gross. Hey, you need to clean up. I think you need to like set harsh boundaries now. Like, no, I'm not coming over. I don't, your place is gross. It makes me feel gross. I don't want to come over. You can come over here, but I don't want to go over there and if you live together oh i would be so mean about it i'd be like this is not fair to me you are being a inconsiderate partner right now okay but yeah i don't know that's rough
Starting point is 00:18:02 and it is gross but also i'm i'm the gross boyfriend in my relationship my boyfriend's so clean and i'm so messy and i feel so bad about it and when it comes to like healthy communication in a relationship he'll be like hey can you do this and guess what my ass gets up and i do it because i don't want to inconvenience my partner especially if we're living together um i do not want to make him feel uncomfortable in this space that we share um but yeah i just be like i'm not coming over i don't want to hang out your place smells gross smells like old moldy pizza maybe if it was clean i'd come over maybe if it was clean i'd hang out more often and if he's like that's so mean of you to say I and just doesn't listen that's when I would start being
Starting point is 00:18:48 like is this worth the relationship do I want to be with somebody who's this messy and that's okay you can have those questions that's what dating is all about okay can we be together can we work things out is you know are the compromises worth it for me and if the compromises are not worth it for you time to move on okay what's your venus sign i'm a scorpio venus i'm a scorpio venus which is why i'm like if you don't fuck with somebody i don't fuck with somebody if it's it's an all or nothing situation i have no choice but to make an all or nothing situation like you either get all of my love or you get none of my love you get all of my loyalty or none of my loyalty and that's also why when it comes to love I'm kind of all or nothing too like if you're not
Starting point is 00:19:42 giving me all of it then I don't want like 10% of it there's no putting me on the sideline bitch look at me look at me are you kidding me and I love that energy which is why I think it makes me perfect to also talk about love relationships all that stuff because i think it'll keep you guys accountable it's a great sign to keep you accountable because you really will not settle um also my gemini sun makes me able to see every single perspective possible which sometimes keeps me stagnant um because i'm thinking too much but in this sort of situation where i am helping you it helps all of us also someone messaged me from the last episode and was like the swamp water girl you can let me out that shit was so good i will never put you onto anything bad i don't have any
Starting point is 00:20:33 malicious intent ever i am only giving good advice trust me please but yeah swamp water is the best i'm out of matcha right now or i would make some in the winter I'm not really a matcha girl it's definitely like a sunny summer afternoon drink um so I will be back in my matcha era soon skincare routine um right now it looks good simply because um I just started my period my ovulation phase I'm like ah sex all the time skin so good glowing titties huge fantastic and then I start my period and all of that goes away and I get bad acne and I get bloated and my titties shrink and I'm like oh great fantastic crazy how our bodies do that
Starting point is 00:21:28 to us they're like you need to get pregnant now why is my body working against me at all times that is so rude of it anyways skincare routine minding my own business drinking water uh buying things that actually have good ingredients rather than things that are just the trend um and making sure i'm treating my acne accordingly i have hormonal acne um i also have a little bit of like sometimes it gets a little not not fungal but definitely bacterial like if i touch my face and i get an acne spot they're bacterial um and i think personally the two things that save me when it comes to just like overall hormonal bacterial acne is my salicylic acid wash by CeraVe it's the CeraVe like foam cream cleanser acne wash and it says salicylic
Starting point is 00:22:28 acid on the bottom fantastic it's like twenty dollars but I buy one like once every three months you just need a little bit a little bit goes a long way fantastic that and then also for my bacne girls because i got bacne like a motherfucker i don't know why i don't know why and i've been through accutane accutane cleared my first round of acne my teenage acne that shit gone then i went through like my second puberty you know you're like womanhood puberty in your mid-20s and my back knee came back my face acne didn't come back but my back knee came back and I developed acne on my neck very weird very weird and you gotta like adjust with your body as this is happening but the malasia personally I love malasia because it's like a
Starting point is 00:23:22 very it's a light formula it doesn't make me break out um but any sort of benzoyl peroxide on those spots and i rub it i slather my back in that shit gone also really great at helping clear acne scarring so that's my skincare routine but yeah minding your own business drinking water and making sure you are using products that are targeted towards your face and if you see yourself breaking out stop using them okay stop buying the latest trends they don't usually work it just means they got a good marketing team and a lot of money to throw at influencers I will only recommend things for you that I genuinely enjoy but also that's why I like to preface these conversations with the type of skin that I'm dealing with do you have any tips for
Starting point is 00:24:12 becoming more motivated and productive for schoolwork um yeah treat yourself you're like what yeah you're gonna have like a little you're gonna have a little treat at the end of the day the only way I was able to actually like get through uh nursing school was I was like I gotta go study for nine hours not fun but also I'm not allowed to smoke until after so I'm going to work my hardest so then I can indulge a little bit in the evening and that's how I was able to actually motivate myself to study have a little treat if all your friends are going out on the weekend be like great cool you guys go out have fun i'll meet you at the bar once i'm done with my shit okay i guarantee you're gonna be in there studying the hardest you've ever studied in your life doing
Starting point is 00:24:59 your homework the fastest you've ever done in your life because you're gonna want to go out with your friends but you gotta have rules and boundaries in place and a little treat at the end of the day but yeah especially if it's work you don't want to do you gotta have a motivation tool you gotta ooh am I a girl's girl question mark there was nothing really that they said they did but girl's girl girl's girl what is a girl's girl I guess a girl's girl is like I don't know recently the conversation of girl's girl is like I'm gonna support women no matter what their rights and their wrongs i'm gonna support women but i don't think that's being a girl's girl i think that's being an enabler am i wrong here like of course we're
Starting point is 00:25:49 all human we're all gonna make mistakes but i'm gonna tell you when you're making a mistake because i love you and you're my friend you know i'm gonna be real with you when that's happening i'm not gonna be like yes girl go do those self-enabling toxic behaviors bye that's not a girl's girl in my opinion that's not a girl's girl that's an enabler that's kind of a people pleaser in a sort of sense my best friends the friends that are the best person for me the best person to be around who actually care about me and want me to do better are the ones who will look me in me in my eyes and be like you're being a dumb bitch right now why are you thinking that way what the fuck's going on let me hold you accountable i honestly feel like those
Starting point is 00:26:35 are the best girls girls to be around um not through the rights and wrongs i mean still through the rights and wrongs you know i'm not going to just like write you off immediately but i'm not afraid to celebrate women and i'm not afraid to call them out on bullshit in order to see them grow you know girls girls will do both both celebration and you know uh called him out so we can all grow and learn together but i think pick me girls won't call you out there's a difference girls girls will call you out love you like love you girl we need to have a talk though pick me girls won't say shit like they won't celebrate you they won't tell you when you're doing bad so you can do better they'll just like watch from the sidelines sorry little water break
Starting point is 00:27:27 not me with my four drinks around me but i think pick me girls especially i don't know pick me girls are more centered around men they don't really care how you're doing because they only care how they're doing in relation to men and i guess we can get to pick me girls but i don't know kind of sad pick me girls are sad every time i see a pick me girl i'm like r.i.p fallen soldier like come on girl come on talk about being a girl's girl i will call those out but it's sad because it stems from a place of insecurity and like feeling the need to fit in and like fill your insecurity with male validation which will pro tip male validation will never ever make you feel whole it won't okay and i don't know if it's because either like you are like you lacked it
Starting point is 00:28:21 or placed like that male validation on a pedestal as a child um or because society's pressure on women to appease men overall the pick me is putting other women down slash not being a girl's girl knows a man is toxic yet keeps making space for them seeing them even if they are a loser um so yeah pick me's r.i.p you're in dick induced psychosis please free yourself we talked about that last episode dick induced psychosis is so real women lose themselves so quickly please learn the importance of yourself and de-center men from your choices your overall viewpoint in life it is hard like I said either it can stem from maybe like a childhood situation of you not having that or placing too much emphasis on it or just an overall society pressure to need to
Starting point is 00:29:20 appease men in order to feel good about yourself but there's nothing sadder than seeing a pick me and quite frankly if you associate yourself with losers it also makes you a fucking loser so wake up i love you we need to do better we need to uplift ourselves we need to prioritize ourselves it's okay okay just because you're a woman doesn't mean you shouldn't prioritize yourself let's be real how can i impress this woman i like make a plan make a plan you know what a woman likes a man with a plan okay you know what the worst text is to receive as a woman what do you want to do girl kill me oh I don't know if I can say that literally it's the worst how dare I as a woman who has to you know get dressed get ready make myself presentable stress how dare I make the
Starting point is 00:30:15 plan also heteronormative relationship not sure how you feel about this maybe you like making the plan anyways if you want to ask someone out you better have a fucking plan okay you better have a date in mind you better have an activity in mind there's nothing hotter to a woman than somebody with a fucking plan whether it's for a singular date whether it's a lifelong plan as long as you have shit figured out oh no panties quite frankly still need help with open relationships bay we talked about this last last episode um the video not the video the audio episode on tuesday i don't believe open relationships work with young people I don't might work for two weeks might work for one person but it never works for the full group ever unless you are 70 with fucking 40 years of
Starting point is 00:31:03 marriage under your belt and you want to try swinging for the first time then it might work but for young people girl just don't be in a relationship okay just don't just don't that's the best thing i could tell you you want to go fuck 10 people amazing i love it i love it i will never not tell you to do that if you want to go do that with your body fantastic but you also have to understand like the people you're dragging along through that and set boundaries accordingly so you can minimize the damage you do like at least be honest i guess if you want to be in a not to be a hater sorry but if you need if you want to be in an open relationship the one thing you can really do is set rules and regulations and have like fucking company meetings
Starting point is 00:31:52 okay you and the four men you want to have in your little harem fantastic let's have a little company meeting and talk about what's allowed and what's not allowed because they never work out in young relationships because we don't know how to communicate correctly and then there's a miscommunication or someone oversteps the boundary and then it's just like a fucking spiral you might as well just be single and do your own fucking thing i guess we can do our little book club meeting um i do a monthly book club with my patreon girlies you guys know i love you all i need to post um february's book i'll get into that this week i'll make a post maybe today about the book i'm reading in february but january our book club book was and a bunch of you
Starting point is 00:32:35 recommended this to me on monday when i was asking for recommendations but it was called bunny a novel by mona awad and i talked about this in the beginning of the month i think like the second third video episode we did together um and i talked about how much i really enjoyed it and how much um i enjoyed getting back into reading i think she's a great author if you like getting lost in the details of things if you like a little bit of like psychosis delusional vibes i think this is for you um i'm not gonna spoil anything but it's definitely you're definitely like guessing what's real and what's not the whole entire time it kind of has some salt burn energy but it's giving like rich um bored european student university energy um and this girl is just
Starting point is 00:33:32 insane but yeah you really have no idea what's going on and she just throws so much random stuff at you um and there's definitely some conversation about underlying um needing to control and manipulate every aspect of your life and how damaging that can be but it's a good one especially for the girls it was a fun read it does get a little tricky at times because there are like long long paragraphs about detail um and just kind of like ramblings but I think it really builds the character into what they truly are which is just like crazy crazy and you're just like I don't know what's going on but I think it's like a out of five I would give it like a 3.54 375 okay not completely completely enthralled but a great one to jump into
Starting point is 00:34:26 especially for a fun little challenge um and then i had someone ask what's some great tools for like uh bringing out your inner child i bought this book i think about this time last year but it's called recovery of your inner child um and it's written by this therapist PhD student about how you can talk to your inner child find what it needs practice or and practical helpful easy advice um there's like activities you can do there's drawings you can do um talking about the importance of parental influence as a child how to break it down um and if you're looking for like in-depth actual actual therapy help in a book form i think this book is a fantastic option both of these i got on amazon i think you can get them
Starting point is 00:35:38 at your local bookstore too so those are my book recommendations for the month i'm gonna share what my february book is on the patreon so the book club girlies can get into it but thank you all for your book suggestions on monday i really appreciate it oh the grammys the grammys i knew i was missing something to talk about um me and my boyfriend watched the entire grammys it was so good I love a award show I love a yes let me watch the celebrities like I love that kind of indulgence I don't really watch or keep up with celebrities that often um so when there is an award show like the Grammys or the Oscars love I love it that's like my one little yearly celebrity indulgence and it's fantastic um sad for Lana Del Rey that whole situation with Taylor dragging
Starting point is 00:36:31 her on stage was so uncomfortable to watch I understand it came from a good place fantastic but I could tell she was so sad and she seems like the kind of person who when she's sad she just wants to sulk inward valid um but also she won her first grammy Lana won her first grammy she was a featured artist on taylor's album of the year uh midnights so she she she was a part of that she won her first grammy sucks that it wasn't for her own album i think if she puts out that or she when she puts out lasso her country album she's gonna win a bunch of awards for that she really will um i feel like that's a perfect avenue for her to go down and maybe pique people's interest to have some preconceived notions about her but what taylor said about her i love that
Starting point is 00:37:22 she got on stage and gave her her flowers um the dragging her up there a little huh i could tell she was uncomfortable but give at least verbalizing like this bitch inspired me to do this album um she inspires all these other female artists and she deserves so much i loved that i i thought that's exactly what she needed to say in that moment do i think lana should have won yeah i just want to see her win some sort of some sort of accolade i want her to get some sort of recognition but i feel like so many of us want that for her because when she she just like speaks for so many people that when she wins it feels like we're winning too oh my god not my tissue paper out sorry i had to blow my nose this fucking sinus infection i've got right now it's crazy
Starting point is 00:38:17 but yeah i love an award show and i cannot wait for the oscars is that what's next um but yeah i had a blast watching the grammys oh my god jay-z's speech some of y'all shouldn't even be in the category i love that because real like how did you get in here who let you win how did you win you know what i mean i mean most of the winners most of the winners deserve to win but some of them it's like what is going on here who bought you this placement you know okay let's see someone said losing best friends because they don't like your boyfriend i think when your friends and friends that you trust and you love and you keep around for a reason when they say they don't like your boyfriend sometimes you should listen to that
Starting point is 00:39:19 sometimes you should be like let me step away and let me ask them like why do they really feel this way because i've dated some loser men and my friends were like i don't want to be around you or him and i was like they just don't get it they just don't love him like i do they don't see the side of him yeah because he's a dick and he's mean to everybody and you think he's mean to everybody but you but he's mean to everybody including you too so the fact that a man is being mean to your friends that should be a red flag your man your man should uplift support and love your friends as hard as they love you facts and if they're not i think that's a huge red flag in a man um but yeah if your friends are mad at you about your boyfriend sometimes you
Starting point is 00:40:07 should listen to that and be like why why are they saying this is it coming from a place of love do they want me to see something that maybe i just am not yeah in toronto every arrival is a statement and nothing says it better than this cadillac optic was the number one selling luxury ev in canada for 2025 find your rhythm across a seamless 33 inch display and an immersive 19 speaker akg surround audio system this city demands agility and Optic delivers with precision to make every drive extraordinary. Ignore my cats in Twilight playing in the background. but um recently i don't know where to channel my girl rage so you know just want to know if you do anything to vent out specifically your feelings of anger or resentment or like
Starting point is 00:41:46 pent-up emotions you know but anyway i love you bye love you cutie um love that you're hanging out with your cats watching twilight what a vibe um rage so if I'm if I need to exert physical energy like I feel like I'm gonna punch something I'll go for a walk or a run I love a run especially when I need to get my emotions out in a healthy way um physically exerting yourself in that sort of way is so nice and such a nice change of pace um like I will go on a run when I'm in one of those you know like i'm so angry phases and i'll just start sobbing by the end of the run because of the endorphins that are flooding my brain because i've physically been able to exert it and um because i feel better so i know that sounds fucking annoying but it's crazy what like
Starting point is 00:42:39 physically exerting that energy can do for you um and especially in a healthy way so put on your shoes and just like a run around the block real quick like it doesn't have to be like miles of running you don't have to be in a cute outfit you don't have to be doing it to better yourself in any sort of way other than just like releasing your emotions in a healthy way i'm psycho it's been diagnosed so when i am feeling it rage i will literally go get in a burning hot shower and i'll be like talking to myself in the shower i'll be like arguing with an imaginary person in the shower i'll be like and sometimes you gotta get it out that way you know i'll just be like literally like physically i'm sweating i'm getting it out i'm also like stimulated in a nice way in a hot
Starting point is 00:43:27 shower but also i'm like emotionally like kind of just getting it out by silently arguing with an imaginary person in front of me um journaling another very healthy way to get it out um i will just like write pages and pages and pages in my journal as hard as i can with my pen um when i'm angry or like in my notes app I'll write some like horrible awful things in there no one's judging you no one's judging you don't judge yourself okay you need a safe space to get that energy out um what else rage rage go to a woman's circle okay go see what the local witches are up to go scream in the woods with your friends like go get your friends together and go write down everything that you hate or you need to get off your chest and you know have a woman's circle
Starting point is 00:44:17 and burn it in the forest please fire safety maybe uh plates go break it me and my brother once again he's so much older than me so we didn't really know how to bond um but we would go to the local talk about like midwest farm things um we would go to the local like auction place and they would always auction off like boxes of glasses for like 30 cents so he would go buy like a box of glasses and go down to the river and just throw it in the river do not litter not a good idea funny story but you know sometimes you you can you can break something safely get it out of your system burn something safely get it out of your system fun little things like that highly recommend there's a tumblr post i wanted to share about communication because i just keep seeing so
Starting point is 00:45:13 when he posts like when he doesn't pick up on my eye contact i'm giving him across the bar when he doesn't understand why i'm mad because i'm not saying anything and it's like what the fuck happened to communication why the fuck are we not talking to each other do we just not love anybody anymore like love communication they go hand in hand but someone said are you ever like damn why is literally everyone else scared of openly communicating and being direct and truthful and honest. I'm kind of bored of subliminal messaging or vaguing or being anything but truthful and blunt and forthright. Every miscommunication that has ever befallen me is a result of jumping to conclusions or not giving the benefit of the doubt or just not
Starting point is 00:45:53 being open to hearing the other side. I am so bored. I just want communication. I want straightforwardness. I want here is why I'm bothered. Here are the facts. Here's what I think. Now tell me your side. Let's talk about this. Let's start a dialogue. There's no reason for either of us to be guessing languages were meticulously crafted over the years for a reason so let's use them let's talk let's communicate by the way you can be straightforward and kind i'm not sure why people seem to think it's one way or the other either way a lot of people need to not only internalize this mentality but practice it because i feel like so many people are willing to burn bridges rather than just communicate and be honest and some people don't
Starting point is 00:46:39 communicate and end up fostering resentment and bitterness and dislike for the other person that causes them to snap out of nowhere and the other person is like what because guess what it was never communicated if you have an issue communicate it i am always such a i'm gonna send a crazy text i am if i feel something crazy i'm gonna say it out loud if i have a problem with something I'm gonna say it out loud talked about this on the last episode uh the audio episode of the week when I said was talking about like how to be the best girlfriend how to make him fall in love with you and it was like speak up for yourself communication I think there's two things you need in a healthy relationship the first one is trust you need to have trust in each other
Starting point is 00:47:22 trust in behavior trust in being able to rely on another person and you need to be able to healthily and adequately communicate and simply healthy communication comes from being open to hearing the other person and open to speaking your mind i think a lot of people are lacking communication instead of communicating how they feel they're just like i give up i give up it's too hard i'm just gonna run away from this person run to the next person fall into the same issue not communicate how i feel move on what happened to me to communication oh you're scared you're scared to say how you feel yeah we all are we all can be misconstrued we all can be taken the wrong way but you don't give the other person an opportunity to understand how you feel unless
Starting point is 00:48:09 you communicate it we are not mind readers i cannot guess how you're feeling and the best thing you can do to harbor like a safe a uplifting healthy relationship and i'm not talking like romantic it can be romantic of course but friendship uh romance interpersonal work relationships uh family you need to be able to talk to each other whether it's starting with you and you're doing the hard thing and you're the one who's talking but it also has to be reciprocated they need to be able to hear you out they need to be able to talk with you and i'm a very communicative communicative person if I have a problem I will say it but I found myself in situations where it was like hey I have this problem oh you're doing it again hey I have this
Starting point is 00:49:00 problem oh you're doing it again hey I have this problem and it's like you cannot communicate your way into a perfect environment and if they are not hearing you out sometimes you got to learn when to step away and you got to learn that maybe your time is not being valued here but yeah bring back communication bring back communication communication 2024 just talk talk to the people you love they want to hear from you they want to know what's going on in your mind whether it's good or bad it's going to strengthen the relationship and make you guys so so much closer um i think the relationship i'm in right now is i'm so lucky to be in it because not only are we able to communicate how we feel um but we're also able to hear each other out and be
Starting point is 00:49:42 better for it and it is just so nice it is such a nice change in pace because i have been in some relationships where it was like oh girl oh you're talking to a brick wall he doesn't want to hear you he doesn't care what you think you need to realize that and find someone who does anyways yeah send that crazy text how can i deal with feeling bored in life i feel like everything is monotonous and not fun now well when was the last time you set something fun up for you to do when was the last time you went and picked strawberries in a field when's the last time you went to the local park when's the last time you cracked open a new book when's the last time you talked to a friend you know it's feeling monotonous because you're not
Starting point is 00:50:37 trying new things you're not putting yourself out there and it's going to continue feeling monotonous until you do so but you will find joy and peace in life again if you simply seek it out and try i promise where can a girly get some recipes as someone wanting to get into cooking uh etsy etsy pinterest that's the word i'm looking for pinterest um yeah that is going to be the best place i love pinterest it's recently become one of my favorite apps two apps that i open in the morning um pinterest and tumblr if i need that little spark of inspiration those are my go-to um pinterest is fantastic for recipes trying new things baking outfit ideas i love a
Starting point is 00:51:29 board i love finding cute images and scrapbooking them digitally it's so nice but yeah um pinterest has some very fantastic uh easy intro recipes um also I think I'm gonna make some more recipe videos because I love cooking um I didn't realize I was so good at it until everybody around me was like requesting food from me and I'm like what it's not that good and then I was like oh no they're craving it because it is good um and you know you cook well when someone's grandma is like this was fucking good you need to bring this back next time that's when you know um so I might make some more cooking videos little reels YouTube videos whatever um because I love I love baking and cooking and sharing it with my friends and family it's such a great way to bring
Starting point is 00:52:18 people together and also like physically show love um and growing up I always cooked my family my parents came home late they worked I mean they were teachers and then they had shit to do after school whether it was like school board stuff or sports and so I would come home and it would be like six seven eight and if I wanted to eat early I was cooking dinner for everybody or I would wait until eight or nine and then I'd eat chicken breast and broccoli my dad cooks so usually I was cooking um and yeah I like cooking also like when I need time to myself where it's like don't talk to me let me put some headphones in let me just do my own thing I love cooking because the end of it you have something yummy you feel like you've done something gives you like a couple
Starting point is 00:53:02 hours to just you know waste if you have time to waste um to really just focus on yourself and yeah i i love cooking it's fun but i can i think you can find a lot of inspiration on pinterest how to handle when people throw a fit when you put your foot down i'm a people person and 10 people tend to walk over me but throw a fit and are mean when i set boundaries help um you're dealing with a toddler are you dealing with a two-year-old because it sounds like you are and if you're like no girl i'm dealing with a 25 year old that's when you need to start real realize realize realize okay that person is actually like a two-year-old for what you're communicating how you feel do you really want that person around you if every time you say
Starting point is 00:53:51 something that's on your mind they're gonna throw a fucking fit no no you don't those people I look them in the eyes and I say I'm gonna let you figure that out on your own I'm gonna go have fun I'm gonna go do my own thing and when you're ready to come back to me this is my mom's first grade tone I know this tone so well she talks to me so so much in this tone I'm gonna let you sit with that energy i know it's a lot to sit with but i'm feeling good about how i've communicated and expressed myself so if you need time to work on how you're feeling i'm gonna give you that time and space but i'm not going to let you impede on my good time so you take time to yourself but i'm gonna go and you can come find me when you're ready to talk you gotta put them in
Starting point is 00:54:46 fucking adult time out literally don't come at me all crazy i'm not gonna give you that energy back you sit with that i'm gonna go have a good time let me know when you're ready let me know when you're ready literally but you're dealing with a two-year-old they're throwing a hissy fit over how you feel if it's a romantic partner i say that is a big red flag and you should probably get the fuck out of there ASAP. If it's like a family member, it gets a little bit more complicated because family can be fucking crazy sometimes. And if it's a friend, yeah, I would distance myself like as soon as they start getting crazy with me. Let them know they're crazy, but then don't let it impede on like your good time. Go take space apart so they can think about it and then come to
Starting point is 00:55:35 you when they have a response that is respectful and constructive but yeah sometimes you gotta fucking break out that fucking first grade teacher voice i think you need a breather and then we can talk about it i've been in this situation so many times all caps my parents found my weed what do i do me and my brother have a huge age gap he's like nine years older than me um so we have always been at two very different stages in our lives I'm talking he's in high school I'm in elementary school he's in college I'm in elementary middle school he has two children I'm I'm me I'm here but I'm definitely not there you know and the only times I would ever call him like panicking
Starting point is 00:56:26 are a when I was about to drop out of school and b when my parents found my weed I didn't realize growing up that my parents found my weed all the time I just thought I was high as fucking losing it no they were taking it I think my dad was probably smoking it um not my mom not my mom she was always the one who was mad my dad was always like um but my mom was always always the one who would send the text and it was always like when I was out doing something and it would just be a picture of like my pipe and I would get that picture and my heart would just like start I would start freaking out it's because I knew I was in trouble but there was nothing they could really do you know what I mean you as a parent are supposed to be mad about your kids
Starting point is 00:57:16 smoking weed I just feel like if you're the parent who's like no my 14 year old can smoke weed in the house that's child neglect it's normal for your parent to be mad if I was a parent even if I did smoke I would have to be you know mad about that situation maybe I would go about it a better way like let's talk about it let's break down what it is to be you know a family with history of an addiction like let's get technical about it instead of just like angry grounding let's not talk about it but they won't they will realize that you know this is a part of just being a fucking teenager um I feel like they do have to kind of get you in a little bit of trouble or they're not a good parent and you just got to take it on the chin the best thing you can really do
Starting point is 00:58:02 is be like yeah I fucked up oops sorry my bad don't get mad at me what happened again what happen again but yeah sorry my bad that's really the best thing you can do um especially if you want them to like forgive you and build trust again you really just got to be like yeah sorry dude i fucked up didn't mean to i'm a teenager i'm doing crazy teenage shit at least i'm not out doing fucking cocaine like the other teenagers were when i was in high school um but yeah when i was in high school i was going to party after party after party friday night what we would do is we would go to my friend's house because she had a window in her basement we could crawl out the window and all my friends were cheerleaders so what we would do is they would one man us up
Starting point is 00:58:49 and out of the fucking window um they would pick she'd pick us up with our feet and just push us out of the window i would have bruises all up my fucking ribs from army crawling out of this window um and it was because her mom slept the hardest she would not wake up um so we could crawl out the window and crawl back in late in the morning and she wouldn't hear um friday night we would go over there and crawl the window um and then we would run to one of our friend's cars who always parked down the street so when we when we started the car wouldn't be loud um they were parked on the street they would walk to the house we would crawl out of the house run down the street to the car and then take off and all night we were on snapchat just texting everybody where's the party
Starting point is 00:59:33 where's the party what's the addy blah blah blah blah and then we just go party to party to party and the thing is all the parties will get shot shut down by the cops as soon as the cops show up you get the fuck out of there get the fuck out of there there's no hanging out there's no oh they're not gonna come inside you get out of there okay go home um but the cops would always shut the parties down but i remember we were at this one party in this rich ass neighborhood and we walked inside and I was like damn no one's gonna have weed here this sucks walked inside the whole kitchen island was covered in weed I'm talking pounds pounds and pounds and pounds of weed and I just grabbed a whole handful and took off and I was always that girl who was just gonna be smoking
Starting point is 01:00:19 in the living room like I'm not a huge drinker I can't fucking throw ass like my ass is gonna be sitting on the couch smoking weed whoever wants to join please join I'll talk to you I'll be a good friend but I was crazy in high school we were always out on the town party after party drinking fucking blue vodka and Gatorade so bad so bad um but yeah when you're in trouble as a teenager the best thing you can really do is be like yeah I fucked up because what are you gonna do lie and say you're in the right girl you're not it's okay it's okay to be in trouble but hey we all make mistakes all you can really do is be like oops sorry mom do you still love me please I hope you do but yeah that does suck causes so much anxiety you'll probably get grounded for a
Starting point is 01:01:07 little bit but it's a part of the normal routine of being a teenager and you just got to go through it it is like just a it's a rite of passage in a sense you know we all got to get grounded at one point my friend had her door taken off one time we were army crawling back through the window and I peeked the window and her mom was sitting on her bed like this staring at us I said I'm going home I'm not going in there that's scary she lost her door so hopefully you don't lose your door hopefully they just ground you for a little bit you know it's part of life hi girl I don't know if this is self-sabotage or just like how I truly feel but I've been with this man for a year and things are pretty good like he does things for me but I've been getting
Starting point is 01:01:58 the ick so hard and it's because he's just so like he just always expects princess treatment which I'm fine with taking care of a man like chest but it's getting to the point where it's like he's not treating me like a princess because he wants to be a princess if I say like hey my flowers died he'll be like okay well where's my flowers or like if we're like cuddling together he just expects me to hold him instead of vice versa like it's just little things like that and it's getting to the point where i just get the egg from him like when i'm with him everything's fine but when i'm apart from him i'm like oh yeah not into you anyways sorry love you bye love you completely valid completely valid a lot of men nowadays want to be want to be the princess they
Starting point is 01:02:52 want to be won over and I don't have time for that anyways yeah I don't know what this new fad is with men wanting to be won over but I'm the prize I need to be treated as such and I feel like that's a valid ick especially if maybe you are not the kind of person to like I get you know we can we don't need strong female male gender roles I get that we're baking breaking boundaries fantastic but also like I want to be treated like a princess is that too much to ask is that too much to ask my flowers are dying is that too much to ask no it's not I'm here to tell you it's not so I would tell him he needs to treat him he needs to treat you better okay I'd be like hey I love celebrating you but you don't celebrate me enough your turn to pay I'm gonna send you a link to flowers I'm
Starting point is 01:03:40 send you a link to this I'm gonna send you a link to that but yeah I get that if you want to be treated as the woman in a relationship then you deserve to be treated that way and if you feel like it just isn't gonna happen with him maybe it's not gonna happen especially when he's got that fucking attitude when you ask for something I can't stand that oh my god well where's my flowers bitch shut up what do you mean where's your flowers I bought them for you I'm passive aggressive though so i'd buy him flowers and i'd be like since i never get any since mine are dead i figured i figured i buy you some you know i just want to act the way i deserve to be treated he'll get his shit together but yeah valid ick listen we don't have to behave uh you know in
Starting point is 01:04:26 very strict gender roles sometimes women like to be the breadwinner sometimes men like to be the stay-at-home wife that's fantastic amazing whatever works for you and your relationship but if it ain't working for you it ain't working for you and a lot of these men have become soft i don't think they realize the privilege they have and how far they get ahead in life simply because they're the man they need to start acting like it and treating you accordingly okay and taking care of you and showing up for you and sometimes you just got to get on them like if you you if you see like he he can behave he maybe needs some training sometimes you gotta train your boyfriend sometimes they're fucking stupid and you got to be like hey get it together and
Starting point is 01:05:08 the good ones will listen the bad ones they'll run away but hey if they're not meant to be they're not meant to be anyways i'm gonna dive more into like that topic on a later date but i've got to get going i need to get some lunch in me it's three o'clock time fucking flies when you're having fun i've had a blast here with you all today and i hope you have a fantastic rest of Thursday if you didn't listen to Tuesday's audio episode go give it a little listen I'm also going to upload a baked and baking video for the Patreon today if you'd like to join patreon.com slash smokes as shoddy I will put all the links everywhere okay follow me on Instagram at Hannah Marlene if you want to see what I'm up to and yeah I will see you all again next week for two more
