Starting point is 00:00:00 Listen, everybody needs a fairy godmother, you know, just somebody to look out for them. Some people call me their fairy smoke mother, others their internet big sister, but you can call me Hannah, the host of Smoke Sash. So come hang out, let's light up and talk everything there is to life. The good, the bad, the ugly, the embarrassing, I've got a story for it all. Oh my goodness, hello everybody. How are we doing? want to know how i'm doing she asked sarcastically i literally just got to my apartment tell me why
Starting point is 00:00:37 it's 83 fucking degrees in here like my ac unit is broke i got here expecting to be able to you know like hang out record a podcast chill with you guys but there is no chilling that is gonna happen here so i'm gonna go pick up some maybe some indian food for dinner treat myself a little bit and i am going to then drive to my boyfriend's apartment so i can get a podcast done for you guys or i'm just gonna sit in my car either way my brain are you guys like me where your brain just does not function properly unless you have like ac blowing in your face i'm like so spoiled i can't lie but literally i just can't do heat i get like brain fog i get like fatigue my body just can't do it and like when i tell you it's like 105 outside plus it rained this morning so the
Starting point is 00:01:40 humidity levels are like on a whole different level it's insane it's insane so praying to god they fucking get out here and fix that today well they came yesterday and supposedly fixed it but that shit did not work so you know round two round two but in other news okay also i'm i'm loading a bowl so if you would like to do so with me feel free um also if i'm everywhere right now it's because i'm in this my hot ass apartment so bear with me while i try and get this intro done but i have some better news for you guys um i just picked up a extra special package that i'm so fucking excited about um hoodies just came in i know are you guys excited i'm excited merch is going to be killer i cannot wait to see you guys running around wearing it i want to
Starting point is 00:02:42 answer some questions um just you know some questions I've been getting to kind of you know I don't know answer questions sorry once again my brain is on a whole different level um I just want to answer some questions about the merch so you guys know what's up what you can expect but we got two different colors of merch I got a baby pink and I have a cream both of the same style just you know different little differences here and there um little color differences as well all of it is hand drawn by me um incredible hoodies hand dyed hand screen printed hand designed by me um they are going to drop in about two weeks okay so two weeks keep that in mind I still got to um prep like a website that you can buy from um and kind of take some pictures
Starting point is 00:03:39 so you guys know what to expect do a little promo shoot you know what i mean um it's going to be international shipping of course i understand so many of our smoke sash girly so many of our smoke sash friends do not live in the united states of america god bless you um so keep that in mind international shipping will be available it might be a little bit more expensive just because, you know, but I still want to make it available to everybody. Plus size options will be available as well. I have a wide range of sizes and all of them are made to order. So once you place your order, which I will have more details about this on the website, but once you place your order, it's going to take about three to four weeks for them to get handmade, hand dyed, basically
Starting point is 00:04:34 hand sewn and then shipped to you so be a little patient please understand um but I wasn't about to order like a thousand hoodies and then only sell like half of that I was like I would rather just make all options available and kind of make it customizable to you guys and then let you place your order based on what your needs are and then have it made catered to that you know instead of having like a small range of options I would rather have much more options and then you know just be a little just a little patient you know they will get to you I promise I waited about a month for my two hoodies that just came in and they're incredible it's puff print they put their heart and soul into making these and I really really fucking appreciate it I found some incredible
Starting point is 00:05:26 artists and a credible team to work with so I'm super fucking excited also I know the podcast came out a little late I know we're on Thursday I'm sorry I posted an update on my Instagram I am working on my Patreon um and if you don't know what Patreon is it's like basically a subscription-based um platform oh my god platform where you can support um your favorite creators and you can access um content and new content and special content and fun things so i'm going to be making that and that should be up the same week that hoodies drop uh maybe earlier because i kind of want my patreon to go up next week but i'm going to be releasing videos vlogs get ready with me apartment tour day in the life so i'm going
Starting point is 00:06:20 to be doing like smoke session nature um you know video podcasts live q and a's i'm gonna have like journal entries i'm gonna have journal prompts for you guys i'm gonna be making pdf planners for you so for my adhd babes so you can kind of you know pull your head together um at least share what helps me you know i'm gonna be sharing a lot more of myself with you guys on there as well as just everywhere i'm gonna try and jump back into kind of falling into social media i feel like i put this like brick wall between myself and social media especially after tiktok where i was like i don't want to put myself out there i don't know why i'm like hyper observing myself too much and i finally just got to the good headspace where i'm like no i love this this is my creative
Starting point is 00:07:12 passion and so i'm i'm just so ready to share much more of myself with you guys and i'm so excited we're um with where smoke sesh is gonna go because we got big things coming babes we got exciting things coming for us okay much more content much more exclusive content and much more fun so let's cheers to that i got my bowl loaded i finally broke my tea break um and i will share how i broke my tea break and why i broke it in a second but let's cheers oh yeah oh shit okay one last thing before we move on to our my tea break story um i understand podcast updates have been a little crazy a little wild a little random them, all right? We are going to officially move to once a week, okay? I mean, we kind of already
Starting point is 00:08:18 been officially there, but instead of it being, like, cut back on how much content I'm putting out, it's only going to be once a week, and it's going to be on Tuesdays from now on, because our usual Thursday podcast slot is going to turn into, um, my Patreon day, and that's gonna be the day I upload like weekly things um weekly videos any sort of q a stuff those are going to be the days that i go live um so keep that in mind now my patreon is not up quite yet so don't go looking for it but if you want updates please follow me on instagram at hannah marlene that's where i'm going to post um podcast updates that's where i'm going to post patreon updates that's where i'm going to post some merch updates so that's the best place you can kind of keep up with me i'm
Starting point is 00:09:05 literally always on there constantly posting if you already follow me you basically know that um but i'm gonna try and move away from just like the instagram story vibe and just like post more openly for you guys with what's going on in my life um because i have so much to share and i was going through all my pictures the other day and i was like damn like there's a lot that i'm keeping myself which like is good and fun and funky and fresh it's good to have things of yourself that you keep um inside and keep vulnerable just to you but i also love sharing my life with you guys and i love sharing the things that i'm doing so keep keep in mind follow that instagram she will be updating a lot i cannot lie um also sorry i'm literally everywhere like i am so hot right now
Starting point is 00:09:55 also i just had this drink which is like my new favorite drink i think and i'm having like a caffeine rush but it's like a it's called a swamp water or what i consider i call it a swamp water because it just looks like swamp water and i know you're like hannah what what are you talking about um it's basically just a matcha latte with oat milk of course always you can put a little simple syrup in it or vanilla if you like it sweet and then i add a two ounce shot of espresso on top of it bitch bitch it is so good it is so good i personally enjoy matcha a lot more now than i do caffeine just because i realized how much fucking anxiety caffeine and caffeine specifically from coffee gives me like i will be freaking out about things from 10 years ago that there i have no
Starting point is 00:10:47 reason even thinking about you know like i've moved on what's going on why am i getting anxiety you have this random day like when i was in eighth grade like what's happening and it's because i've drank too much caffeine you know what i mean and i'm forgetting what the chemical is that's in green tea but it's been known to reduce anxiety and if anything it doesn't give me any anxiety at all so i have been on a green tea kick lately whether it's a green tea latte and then or like a matcha latte and then i throw a shot of espresso in there it doesn't heighten my anxiety honestly because it's not a bunch of like caffeine that I'm ingesting at once especially like from coffee um but also I like making like a little batch of green tea just regular green tea throw it in the
Starting point is 00:11:34 fridge keep it cool and mixing that with pineapple juice over ice is like the perfect summer drink if you're looking for something that is caffeinated but also maybe um not super heavy as like a latte kind of thing um that's what i make at work and that's what i drink at work my co-worker was like are you drinking a margarita i was like girl you think i can just drink margaritas on the clock like i wish but no it's just it's green tea love it some pineapple juice maybe some mango juice oh you can get crazy with it babe you can mix any juice in there you want i just like pineapple not sure why anyways where was i going with this oh my god tea break so i broke my tea break right very exciting things and i was slowly breaking it because i realized listen you don't have to
Starting point is 00:12:25 take a long tea break well you can you know if it's if it's necessary for you if you need to go cold turkey vibes go for it do what is ever best for your mental health best for your body best for yourself and pay attention to the signs that your body is telling you because the signs my body was telling me was, hmm, you're just getting high and not doing anything and getting high to escape reality. And I was like, hmm, okay, noted. We're gonna pay attention to this one because if we ignore it, we're gonna spiral. So I was like, maybe I'll just cut back. I'll do a little tea break. I'll go cold turkey. I'll do CBD because I love CBD. Shout out Paz Pax, code smoke sash 10% off. Anyways. Um, but I, I, it didn't really take me that long for me to get
Starting point is 00:13:15 back to my base level because I feel like, especially with, um, weed and stuff, it's all dependent on your metabolism and how fast you can get it out of your system and turn kind of reboots your system. I've been smoking like straight up every single day for three years, basically for three years and I stopped for a month maybe three weeks you know I would smoke like maybe every other week like once and that's because it only took my body and my metabolism like a month for it to set me back to like high school level like you know when you're hitting a bong and then you just like have a panic attack and you're like oh my god what's happening why am I getting so much anxiety yeah crazy right like it just reverted me back to my old like younger self which like i
Starting point is 00:14:07 was envious of while i was smoking because it would take me so much weed to get any sort of feeling and now i can have like one bowl and i can be chilling you know what i mean i can have a joint and i'll be chilling a dab is like going over the edge like i'm gonna have to really watch my anxiety there so i'm getting back into it i'm having a good time i'm i'm doing what i can and once i said or once i said what the fuck like i said um if you do have anxiety i really recommend maybe mixing some cbd in with your flour that's what i personally really enjoy maybe popping a little gummy before you smoke you know the gummies are fast active so if you have like anxiety it's really nice to be like okay i'm just gonna eat a gummy that tastes like pomegranates and move on
Starting point is 00:14:54 and their gummies are incredible so if you ever want to try it pass packs code smoke sesh but um yeah i've gotten back into smoking and i've been very diligent diligent about how i'm smoking okay because like i said the issue with me last time was i am smoking to escape reality what's going on why is this happening um and that's not okay i didn't want to do that i wanted to do it in a healthy way a productive way so i had to go back to like my college days sorry i'm gonna walk by my ac and it's gonna be loud as fuck she's trying she's really trying to make it work my ac is kicking but she's just not pumping any air like she's loud as fuck but no air is coming out like not even hot air I would take any air at this point but it's literally none um what was I saying
Starting point is 00:15:49 oh I want to do it in a healthy way sorry if this whole intro is just chaos but like what else can you expect from me at this point like it's just gonna be chaos from start to finish um it's just gonna be wild so um I wanted to do in a productive way a healthy way I didn't want to lose myself in it I didn't want to lose my personality in it I didn't want to lose you know my passion for life in it so I went back to my college ways of hmm I'm just gonna use it as a reward you know as a fun time thing like if you wake up and you pop a fucking like pbr and you have a bowl of cereal that's called being an alcoholic and i feel like you know you know weed is not as intense as alcohol oh my god i just found a gram of wax in my bag that's interesting um i love my boyfriend
Starting point is 00:16:54 for putting that in there but you know I felt like I was using it in a way that was like an alcoholic way I get you can smoke all day and it may not be in that sort of kind of negative connotative way but I was and I was using I was using weed like an alcoholic let's call it a weedaholic okay I would wake up I'd smoke next minute I'd smoke I'd smoke I'd smoke I'd smoke because I just didn't want to think I didn't want to do the stuff on my to-do list I wanted to avoid it and it's really easy to avoid things especially when you're high so now i only use it if i have like you know if i'm gonna smoke all day it's gonna be my day off like i don't have any to do's i'm chilling i may be doing this podcast i'm getting lunch and i'm vibing you know that's it
Starting point is 00:17:40 but if i have to do's if i have work if i have shit like that going on i get all that shit done i mark it off my to-do list literally physically and then i smoke i treat myself at the end of the night it's my way to wind down it's my way to relax it's my way to kind of open my mind a little bit and delve into those ideas and those thoughts and like that creativity that you know weed does bring you when you're using it correctly so if you're the kind of person who you know maybe got lost in your usage does need a little break i really do encourage you to take that break it's really easy it's not well it is easy i felt like it took me a good three days to kind of get into my tea break and get used to not smoking like i said supplemented with some cbd um here and here
Starting point is 00:18:34 and there because it's not even close to the feeling that weed gives you much more relaxed much more relaxation you can like function on it um and it took me about three days for my brain to get used to not doing that and also like I kept myself busy so that was really helpful but I needed to heal how I was using it I needed to fix that so I'm really glad I'm kind of back on track and if you do need that break take it I really do encourage you you can fix your relationship with weed believe it or not you can especially you have to be honest with yourself like no one else is going to be honest with you and if you need that break be honest with yourself kind of you know evaluate your habits look into them um because you'd be surprised kind of what
Starting point is 00:19:19 you find but also i'm glad to be back i'm glad to be smoking with you guys thank you for joining me and welcome to smoke slash me giving a literal like 25 minute intro love that let's finally get into some questions i'm gonna pack my shit up i'm gonna get lunch um i'm gonna blast my boyfriend's house where he has working ac that feels like i'm in antarctica and we're going to dive into some questions all the questions you sent me i'm so fucking excited all righty can you tell i literally fed myself and i'm now in ac and i drink water and the vibes are much calmer i was that was a little chaotic i apologize it's crazy what happens when you like actually take care of yourself and you know you start feeling better wow wild right anyways i just had so many plans
Starting point is 00:20:21 for my day and they really just 360'd because of my ac being burnt the fuck out but i'm i still have so much to look forward to i think the rest of my day is going to consist of you know smoking hanging out with you guys i got my merch which i'm so excited about like literally seeing like an idea come to fruition and like actually seeing it in front of you is just mind-blowing and it's so exciting and i'm so excited to share it with you guys i can't wait just a few more weeks give me time to prep the website and to um you know take some good photos for you guys and and we'll drop it i'm so fucking excited though i have a little um skateboard i'm trying to paint as wall art for my apartment so i'm trying to get that done today and then maybe go to the pool and rest
Starting point is 00:21:16 and relax and lizard it out lay out in the sun you know what i mean um and maybe cook myself a good dinner so today is looking up pray to god they get my apartment fixed though because i got some shit i gotta do you know what i mean you know when you're like trying to get shit done and the universe is like we're just gonna throw you a curveball and see if you can still get it done it's like okay we're just gonna take it take a deep breath you know and power through because old hannah i'm not gonna lie she would have had a mental breakdown and then just given up on the rest of her day and just like accepted defeat but listen we do not have time to accept defeat anymore you know what i mean um i hope you guys had a good weekend mine consisted of you know i
Starting point is 00:22:05 didn't really do any celebrating i can't lie but i still had the day off for the fourth because you know we were um closed my restaurant was closed if you guys saw my Instagram story I was like I do not celebrate the 4th but I do celebrate Lana Del Rey so I was listening to a lot of Lana Del Rey that day hanging out um I got really drunk we went to the river me and my boyfriend went to the river for a little bit just hung out in the middle of the woods and did nothing it was pretty great and then we bought a bunch of fireworks because it's fun to blow shit up and that's the one day of the year if the city allows it and we went up to Penn Valley Park if you guys don't know what that is in Kansas City it's a great park mostly a skate park but if you walk down a little
Starting point is 00:22:52 bit there's a great overview of just like the entire city and everybody was there lighting fireworks off and there was like a pop-up like grunge band and they were moshing and throwing fireworks at each other and everybody was out skating and it was just nice to kind of just get outside you know what i mean and kind of feel a camaraderie of everybody like i feel like everybody there was not celebrating it was very much more like angsty and you know just blow shit up and be who you are be who you are you know what i mean anyways that's what i did and now i'm back to real life back to working back to doing this so i hope you guys were safe hope you guys had a good weekend um and let's get into some of these questions i want to start exploring my creative
Starting point is 00:23:50 side but i don't know where to start so for me personally when i'm in a creative rut and i want to get back into it i start with one of two things i start with either journaling or i start with um mood boarding which I feel like I do way more mood boarding than I do journaling when it comes to creative things just because I'm more of a not a type a like not organized kind of person when it comes to creative adventures and I'm much more visual so talk about a thesis okay you should always have a thesis you should always have something you're going after um and it could be anything literally anything so what I like to do is I start by collecting images and things that inspire me and things that I'm drawn towards and I throw those into just like a collage and I use
Starting point is 00:24:48 bizart to collage stuff I'm not sure if it costs money if it does cost money I'm paying for it I don't even know it but it's so worth it because I use it all the time but I use bizart for all of my collaging stuff and all of my editing stuff as well um and I just throw all the images and the quotes and the things that inspire me into one thing and then I either fall in a rabbit hole of course of something that inspires me or you know that collection of images inspires me to work on something new like I just did a brand new kind of collage of stuff that inspired me to kind of start working on a new painting a new art piece I've been painted in forever and it feels good to kind of jump back into it but yeah I'm working on a skateboard for my wall and I'm hoping to get a
Starting point is 00:25:38 lot more art done as well so you really just got to start by finding inspiration and finding inspiration wherever you can um whether you're a photographer or a painter or a writer you got to start by feeling inspired especially if you maybe aren't finding that inspiration within yourself you know that's okay look towards other people it's always okay to look towards other people and learn from them and grow from them use them as your teachers you know what i mean i think that's a great way to kind of delve into your creative side find people that you're passionate about and ask yourself why am i drawn towards these people and what are they doing you know um let's see how do you be pretty as a teen you don't period your teenage years are
Starting point is 00:26:27 going to be weird they're going to be odd you are still growing into yourself and you won't fully grow into yourself until you're 30 you're just now starting to grow into yourself so if you feel a little weird if you feel a little awkward if you feel a little uneasy i think that's perfectly fine and i think you should feel comfortable within that and allow yourself to grow you're not going to be this perfect person at fucking 16 17 18 okay you are just now kind of learning who you are and you need to not chase perfectionism because that's going to lead to a endless spiral of unable to satisfy yourself because you're not going to achieve perfectionism well honestly ever in your life but you're probably not going to feel settled in yourself until like your mid-20s
Starting point is 00:27:17 so the best way to kind of feel confident within yourself as a teenager is to just allow yourself to be yourself okay and to mess up and to make mistakes and to be a little ugly you know and to have those moments where you maybe don't feel a hundred percent but understand that one day you will and all you need to do is allow yourself to have those moments to learn and grow okay okay let's see is it bad to talk to multiple guys at once hashtag hot girl summer or does it just make me a hoe um i think many people are looking for many different things if your vibe is polyamory and you're talking to many different people i think that's totally fine i just think you probably need to disclose it to your partners okay or else you absolutely are leading someone on
Starting point is 00:28:12 and i don't think that's fair because if you're the kind of person who also like maybe doesn't want to talk to a lot of people at once you know and you are talking to one person and you find out they're talking to hundreds that's not fair same sort of difference so i think you know if you want to you want to have your options open absolutely go for that but also disclose that with your partners a hundred percent um but hot girl summer isn't always about you know finding a million different partners and going with it like that hot girl summer is however you want to make it however you want to you know vibe out that's all that matters um biggest ics i'm talking girls and guys ics i don't have a lot of ics i think when you do have a lot of ics for one person that's a
Starting point is 00:29:05 red flag that maybe that person isn't supposed to be in your life like straight up like when you're getting the ick all the time whether it's a girl or a guy i think you just don't like that person okay and you can just move on and take take that for what it is you know um but what of my biggest icks that I get from anybody like customers people my life is just people being rude and people being like an asshole I hate that shit like when you got a bad attitude towards everything when you're just mean when you just have like an ugly personality you're just gonna constantly annoy me like I hate to be like that but you know those people who are just like constantly like out of pocket constantly just like making fun of other people like it's coming
Starting point is 00:29:54 from a weird place of like they can't satisfy themselves yeah that's that's when i'm like i just am constantly getting the ick with that kind of person um like even customers they'll come in and they'll be like just like constantly complaining and i'm like oh my god just leave like leave if you don't like it that much leave i don't want to deal with you just complaining complaining complaining you know it's not worth it all right let's find some more questions oh someone asked a vagina confidence love this i don't know why i was just born with an inherent sense of like you know vaginas are bad maybe it's because we grew up under the patriarchy but I'm here to tell you all vaginas are good and the best thing you can ever do
Starting point is 00:30:47 is to just get used to it just get used to having a vagina when you are constantly like ignoring it when you're constantly like unaware of what's going down there going on down there holy shit sorry when you're constantly just kind of putting off the idea that you have a vagina that's when it's kind of hard and tricky and difficult to deal with especially as a woman um because you're not used to it okay and i feel like i had this issue especially when i was just like ignoring everything going on um and then like people try to go down on me and i'd be like no like this feels weird this feels uncomfortable because all of a sudden i'm having to focus on what's going down going on down there you know and that's not fair to myself or your partner
Starting point is 00:31:37 um so the best thing you can really do is just get used to it okay get used to it understand what it's like to have one kind of understand your cycle a little bit um literally like sit in front of a mirror check yourself out you know um feel what's going on down there feel what you like feel what you don't like and just like get used to the concept I feel like that is the best thing you can really ever do for yourself um and also like I've never been one to compare my vagina to someone else's like I don't know maybe if you've seen porn and you're gonna compare but really like all vaginas are good I don't think anybody is going to like look at a vagina and turn it away because if you do you're crazy you know what i mean if they like you they're
Starting point is 00:32:32 gonna like your vagina and that's all that matters so pussy power go stare at her in the mirror for a little bit compliment yourself actively get used to what it feels like to touch yourself be aware that you have a vagina take care of her okay and then you know the confidence will kind of come with it I feel like confidence comes with just knowing yourself and being confident in who you are and not having all those questions about yourself and not having to question yourself and the same comes with like vagina confidence you know what I mean just being aware of what's happening down there being aware of what you like being aware of what you look like that's all that matters you know and comparison remember comparison always kills oh and speaking of vaginas I got a
Starting point is 00:33:18 comment on my Instagram the other day and they were like girl what is your shaving routine like how do you shave because like it's always so smooth down there and I can't lie I have a ginormous bush period I do I love my bush I rock my bush it's kind of incredible now it's not a full like 70s bush do you know what i mean like i'm not completely hairy down there i do have like a preference for what i like um and i leave the top like a little triangle at the top like a bush okay i trim it a little bit if it gets too long because it just gets like unruly um and i shave the rest okay and the key to shaving your pussy and getting a smooth shave is a few things okay you are never going to want to dry shave and by dry shave i don't mean like you standing out of
Starting point is 00:34:24 the shower just literally dry shaving dry shaving also means only using water okay you're gonna want a men's razor okay and you're going to want a because they're cheaper period b because they kind of work better i can't lie and not one of those cheap razors like get a two or three kind of blade razor make sure there's a moisture bar moisture bar on the razor very important and then for me personally which i don't know if you're supposed to use but i use this on my legs and kind of the outside of my pussy is like shea butter moisturizer not like a lotion but it's like this moisturizer i got and i shave with that so it's like thick and creamy instead of foamy i feel like the foamy stuff doesn't work lather yourself up okay use your men's razor a new one okay
Starting point is 00:35:22 and i shave my pussy before i shave my legs so then my razor isn't like dull and you always shave with the grain never never against the grain you can shave against the grain on your legs because it's a different type of hair but i feel like your hair and the follicles are just thicker when it comes to pubic hair and you have to shave with the grain okay because if you shave backwards that shit's gonna just get shoved inside of you and it's not gonna be good and you're gonna get a lot of ingrown hairs trust me i have gotten a lot of ingrown hairs okay now to the another key to like not getting a lot of ingrown hairs is to kind of be consistent with when you shave like anything from at least once a week will get your body used to you know the shaving routine and you
Starting point is 00:36:19 won't develop as many ingrown hairs now you can shave two times a week three times a week every day if you need that's a little crazy i don't think that's ever necessary i let myself grow out just like a little bit before i shave like i don't mind a little bit of stubble um neither is my partner so like who gives a fuck but yeah shave with the grain make sure you do it consistently so your body can get used to it make sure you are using some sort of like moisturizer while shaving men's razor boom pow you are going to be so soft silky smooth babe i guarantee also if you don't shave props to you i don't shave my armpits that's a thing the greatest red flag that i can ever think of is and the and my favorite reason that i have armpit hair is it really just determines
Starting point is 00:37:13 what kind of people you want around you and what kind of people you don't because the people you don't want around you are the people who are going to comment on your armpit hair like it's crazy like oh my god what you have your armpit hair that oh my god like just like any sort of comment i'm just like red flag like why weird like why are you pointing it out doesn't matter like i just don't want to shave like why does it matter why are we having this conversation and the people who aren't are the green flag people are the people who see and don't give a fuck it's normal they don't care why would they comment on someone else's body i feel like it's a great way of weeding out the like pussy people and the people who are like actually cool and down with people
Starting point is 00:37:55 doing whatever the fuck they want with their bodies you know what i mean so love my armpit hair i love my bush too but no one no one sees that except for me um but yeah that's how i get a smooth shave let me know if it works for you but that's really all the tips i have you guys hear a funny story though about my hair as i load a bowl we can smoke a little bowl together um but when i was born i was born with black hair like jet black hair not sure why and then my mom said because i remember growing up and i just had like a patch of like black hair in the back of my head my mom would always like try and pluck it out of my head when i was younger and i'd be like what the fuck what's going on anyways yeah she told me one day that yeah i was born with black hair
Starting point is 00:38:41 and then she would just like rub my head and she rubbed my head so much that all of my hair fell out and then grew back blonde i was like that is very strange mom but okay i'll take my blonde hair i don't know if it was on purpose but it might have been i don't know it was weird she wanted a blonde baby i guess anyways let's load this bowl let's take a little hit get into some more questions how are you guys doing today how are you feeling is it a good thursday mine's looking up um i'm gonna make some stuffed shells for dinner my boyfriend's a saint is gonna go to the grocery store for me because i get so overwhelmed in the grocery store i really do i hate going to the grocery store i just get lost and i get like overwhelmed and i get too much anxiety and it's
Starting point is 00:39:24 just not a vibe so he's a real one for doing that but um what else was i gonna say oh i've been getting a lot of dms lately of you guys being like this is my favorite podcast to fall asleep too i'm like oh i love that i'm like helping you guys fall asleep i love that i love that i can be your little accompany into you know your sweetest dreams ever hopefully you're not getting you night terrors but i think that's so cute all right let's rip this uh-huh uh-huh okay little miss unhinged today little miss chaotic today i can't lie have you been seeing those fucking memes um on on tiktok where it's like um there was one that made me giggle out loud little miss beef curtains little miss psych ward
Starting point is 00:40:23 little miss they're so funny i forgot what the fucking t-shirts were called but those were like a staple in to the 2000s like i swear to god okay getting over the anxiety of taking pics in public places um I used to have so much anxiety about just existing in public and then I realized everybody's a fucking weirdo and why are we all pretending and literally my neighbors would have to watch me just like walk down the street lip-syncing music twirling down the street for like tiktok so after just like embarrassing quote-unquote embarrassing myself over and over and over again i just got used to it i hate to say it you just have to just go for it and the people who comment on it the people who like say something about it they're usually
Starting point is 00:41:27 insecure and it's usually coming from a place of insecurity and i don't mean that in a bad way i just mean like they are focused on themselves and they are focused on how they would never do that and how they don't have the balls to do that and then they're projecting that onto you that's not your responsibility to deal with to cater to to even take on so let the people who you know do do that let them do it let them feel sad about themselves but also that's rare ever and most the time when I am taking pictures of myself out in public when I see people taking pictures of themselves out in public when I see people doing anything in public I'm always like you go girl like go for it and every time I'm taking pictures I usually do get very good responses um there
Starting point is 00:42:13 have been times that I did not feel comfortable simply because men are fucking weird and that happened a few times at my house where I was just like on my porch taking photos and like a man circled the block three times in my residential neighborhood my little tiny neighborhood obviously not lost like leaning his fucking head out the window going three miles per hour and in that situation like yeah protect yourself there's no reason you should just continuously be out there and endure that just like i just went back inside and i shut the door and i was like i'm gonna play on my phone for 15 minutes and then go back out there and guess what i got some great ass instagram pics i cannot lie but yeah you do just have to put yourself out there it's like
Starting point is 00:42:55 exposure therapy i can't lie the more you do it the more you will feel comfortable doing it um just because you've been so conditioned to like put your head down not exist in public um especially in the midwest but like new york if you live there la if you live there everybody's on their grind everybody's minding their own fucking business and i love it that's why i love those places nobody's like focused on you at all and you can totally just exist in peace because everybody's a weirdo and everybody's existing within their own world in the midwest where i live people are like way too involved in other people's lives especially other people they don't know and it's like do you guys not know how to mind your fucking business another what was it a
Starting point is 00:43:38 red flag for me or another ick for me when people just like don't know how to exist within their own world and to just like mind their business like when someone has to comment on other people or has to like put other people down or you know always has something to say in business that they are not associated in it's just like come on like at this point i think we're all annoyed like i think we're all over it i can't lie so get your confidence up babes outdoors is the best place to fucking take pictures um especially this is so weird and other people in front of other people's houses i know i know especially in kansas city there's just a bunch of really good old architecture and really unique houses and what i will literally do sometimes is i will
Starting point is 00:44:24 just pull my car up right next to their house um just on the curb you know public parking you can do that it's not the country so they're not going to be like get off my property you know what i mean like Kansas City they don't give a fuck everybody's basically minding their business as much as they kind of can um and then I just prop my phone up on the side of my car which is very dangerous I have dropped my phone multiple times and cracked my screen but you know the risk you take I don't have a tripod I wish I did um if you do have a tripod just set it up on the side of your car and then like take photos that way so it's not like you are just like in the middle of the street taking photos like you're doing something crazy it's like you're just on the
Starting point is 00:45:04 side of the road doing your thing like that's fine that's valid you can absolutely do that um i've also done that out like in the country kind of when i find like really good nature settings um or like little cute let's like pull off the side of the road and take photos right here yeah just prop your phone up set your timer and go have fun babes okay get a little adventurous the world is there for you to experience and why not capture that experience as well hey Hannah I just want to say I love your podcast um my question is can you go into more depth about kind of like your nightly smoke session ritual um I just think it would be super interesting to see other people's yeah oh this is cute okay so I'm probably gonna do a
Starting point is 00:46:00 video on patreon like actually going through it um but i'll just kind of give you a little rundown at least what my night tonight is gonna look like um like i said after the tea break i usually only smoke in the evenings right now it's a little different just because it's my day off you know i'm doing this i'm having fun like i got all my chores done this morning so i can chill even though it's two o'clock in the afternoon um so for me tonight i feel like my nightly smoke starts at like dinner time okay like seven eight when i work i eat really late so when i have my days off i like to actually like take time to cook and enjoy a meal i probably will eat around nine start cooking at like seven eight and i take that time to myself you know play some music um cook a
Starting point is 00:46:51 little bit i'm gonna make stuffed shells tonight gonna be fun um i take a few rips while doing that good music is always a necessity especially while cooking um i always have to watch something while i eat i think i've just conditioned myself from like youtube days where i would just watch like three hours worth of content and eat dinner and then go to bed um so also i'm a multitasker so i can never just like sit and watch something like i have to be doing something so dinner time is the perfect time um i'll eat my food turn on a old movie that inspires me turn on an interview that inspires me turn on you know literally any form of content that i want to enjoy and watch i don't usually ever do tiktok while i'm on my phone or while i'm eating i don't i'm never on
Starting point is 00:47:45 my phone while i'm eating i think it's a good time to just like kind of clock out enjoy some content that you maybe wouldn't enjoy um usually because you wouldn't be able to sit down for long periods of time and do and yeah and then i will probably also either continue a movie continue a show play some music i always have to have some form of media playing um and i'm gonna uh paint i like to get creative in the evenings whether it's like creative in a organizational way creative in a creation way such as painting photography editing um if it's creative or creativity in like a collaging way or journaling i make sure i incorporate something like that into my evening routine and then also a big part of my evening routine is hygiene um like i'm gonna
Starting point is 00:48:38 do a face mask tonight my favorite favorite favorite face mask ever is the cold oh my god i'm gonna butcher this cold plunge pore mask i think is what it's called it's like teal i'll post a photo tonight and tag them so you know where to buy it it's like 30 but it's so worth it i use it all the time and it's the only thing that clears my pores like you know the clay masks and how you you would think that you know would suck everything out of your pores and you'd feel refreshed afterwards but it kind of just left you feeling dry and you know unsatisfied a little clogged maybe this is like doing what the clay mask should have done for my skin and i don't know if my skin just wasn't the right compatibility for it um but i love this mask it's like cooling
Starting point is 00:49:30 as if like you put burt's bees all over your fucking face um and it's awesome i'm probably gonna do that take a shower relax a bit love a good face mask i used to do my nails a lot at night but now that i go and get them done i mean i don't really incorporate that as much um and then after that probably take another rip and pass the fuck out i can't lie but i like to do one thing for the self whether it's cooking face mask whatever you need to do for yourself i like to do one thing that's creative and then one thing for the body i forgot to mention i love stretching stretching is always great whether it's just crisscross applesauce and like leaning forward and leaning back to stretch your shoulders and your back you know taking time to close your
Starting point is 00:50:17 eyes and roll your neck kind of work out the kinks um i love the downward dog position stretching your back forward once again i can't wait to make videos on all this stuff on my patreon i can't wait to get creative there's only so much you can do like with audio and me trying to explain it without showing it um but yeah i think that's really really important as well some people like to go to the gym i wish i had a gym membership i'm probably gonna try and get back into it here soon um just because i do miss kind of challenging my body in some sort of way um and i think it's really good to also pay attention to your body another thing you can do for your body is simply meditation um it's great to just like relax and sit and take the time for yourself especially
Starting point is 00:51:06 when you've been running running running all day I think that's totally valid but yeah that's basically my evening sesh routine I can't lie and I feel like I kind of honor it in the same kind of way that I would in like middle school and high school when I would have to wait till my parents went to bed to kind of have my night to myself and then I would just like be up all night like 4 a.m and I would just be like creating and you know getting on different apps and finding new things that inspire me and getting lost a little bit and watching a little bit of content here and making this here and maybe reading a book I I love that and I love honoring that in my nights and continuing that through my adulthood because I feel like it just continues the passion
Starting point is 00:51:51 and continues that desire to um to keep going no I'm kidding um but yeah let me know what your evening sesh looks like i'm very interested all right someone said everything in my life uh seems so stale right now i'm not excited to wake up do you ever feel this yes i do very valid i i actually do think so um and i feel like it's very common especially in our lives that have to be so routine orientated um and let me explain why so routines are very good it's very good to wake up and understand what your day is relatively gonna bring you I mean it's even more important in childhood just so you have that sense of stability established but it's even so more important in adulthood just so you have like a set schedule that you can work around and incorporate different
Starting point is 00:52:48 things into if you stick to that set schedule every single day for 365 days you're going to get a little bored i can't lie the human mind is meant to wander the human body is meant to run and unfortunately well or fortunately you know we are now in control of our lives we no longer have our parents we no longer have or maybe you do um we no longer have like people kind of dictating what our schedule is our schedule is up to us and routine is just as important as spontaneous oh my god oh my god i'm gonna butcher this word spontaneity okay my brain finally kicked in um spontaneity is very very important and when you were younger you felt like your life had that um like a little bit of spontaneous moments because your parents probably orchestrated it now that
Starting point is 00:53:53 you don't have your parents involved you have to orchestrate and like plan spontaneous things okay and i get it you're like plan spontaneous things i'm like yeah set up new goals for yourself um sign up for new classes you want to take that thing that's been on your mind that's been making you curious go try it go to that art museum go to that event go to that concert um you know maybe you're walking down the street and you randomly see something that looks interesting maybe it's a thrift store maybe it's a store maybe it's literally anything go do it you have to have those moments in your life and you have to listen to that little gut feeling and just try it out or else your life is going to feel very mundane very you know boring if you're going to wake up
Starting point is 00:54:44 go straight to work um go straight home and then wake up again then go straight to work then go straight home or wake up and then go to work or go to school and then go to work and then go straight home like that's gonna get boring after a while because your world will become very very small expand your work your world get a little spontaneous with it get a little crazy with it try something new drive somewhere new walk somewhere like literally anything that comes to mind of course it's all very very different um just go try it when you have those days off also um explore new things like with my days off i love just going and trying new thrift stores i loved um like going to new places maybe getting out in nature um going and doing things that
Starting point is 00:55:34 really bring me happiness and bring me peace and the things that i'm going to work for to fund does that make sense those are the kind of spontaneous things that you got to set up for yourself um and unfortunately no one else is going to set them up for you um so i hope that helps I feel like when your life does feel very mundane like I totally understand it I've been there too I know that feeling exactly I don't think there's anything wrong with you it's just yeah you know the world does get a little mundane sometimes so feel free to open your world up um and experience those new things as well oh this is a great question do you ever find yourself getting sucked into your phone how do i stop getting sucked into scrolling great question yes i do
Starting point is 00:56:24 feel this way and the only app that makes me feel this way here's the thing i think phones are great i think it's okay to get sucked into your phone there's a difference between the okay and the not okay the okay is when you're using it as a creative tool you are finding different things that inspire you you're coming up with new ideas you're creating on your phone you know you can draw shit on your phone you can edit photos on your phone you can edit videos you can do so many different things on your phone it can be like organizing your life you can be responding to emails you can get be getting work done that's important you can spend eight hours on your phone doing that the difference between that and spending eight hours on tiktok is you're gonna remember the
Starting point is 00:57:05 first and you're gonna remember every single thing you did eight hours on tiktok you're not gonna remember anything you'll maybe remember three videos and that's insane because that's only like what maybe a minute worth of content out of eight hours crazy I straight up every time I get on TikTok I will set a timer um if I'm just taking a break I will set like a 5 10 15 minute timer and when that timer goes off I get off TikTok I shut my phone off I turn it over I move on to my next chore do you know what I mean um but also just like kind of installing that and then like removing that particular app out of your life is very helpful and I found myself getting less stuck the apps that I do have downloaded such as Instagram such as Pinterest such as Tumblr
Starting point is 00:57:52 um that's really it those are apps that I can spend maybe max like at the most like 15 to 30 minutes like I can't endlessly scroll on those like I can TikTok um now say you can endlessly scroll on any of those the same thing kind of comes are you using it in a good way and if not set a timer set like you know a strict deadline for yourself like i said you don't have your parents involved with you anymore they're not going to put time limits on your iphone you got to be your own parent and you got to recognize bad unhealthy habits because i i hate to say i've lost days to tiktok i have i've lost probably a good week of my life just to scrolling on that app and do i remember anything that i did that week you know i would go on a vacation for a
Starting point is 00:58:45 week and i would i remember every single memory but do i remember what i did on tiktok for that week no not at all none whatsoever and i'm not saying you have to engage in like mind altering content 24 7 it's just be aware when you are going into that spiral and kind of set necessary boundaries for yourself for me personally the timer really does work you just have to have that you know self kind of efficiency to see that timer and turn the app off and move on the best thing you can do is not move on to another app when that timer goes off but to turn your phone like literally over turn it off turn it over and just like do a chore do something on your to-do list um get something done you know like move on from your phone take that as a timer to put your
Starting point is 00:59:35 phone down not to just open another app because then you're gonna be more likely to go back so keep that in mind but yes doom scrolling felt it's a thing you got to set boundaries you got to be strict with yourself you know parental controls oop speaking of red flags with armpit hair someone said my boyfriend said my not shaved armpits aren't hot i hate to be like this is end game but this was a big red flag in my last relationship of me realizing that he just wanted to control my body and i was supposed to succumb and make myself smaller for him when i stopped shaving my armpits and he was like that's gross that's not hot like that's not woman like why would you do that and i was literally i lost my
Starting point is 01:00:24 shit i was like fuck you why the fuck would you ever think you can speak to me that way or have any sort of control on my body and it completely made me come to terms and realize how like kind of horrible he was um and then he felt bad and he shaved his armpits to make me feel better right no that's just male misogyny at its finest they can they can like solve one issue that like is a big character issue with just something small and symbolic like no fix yourself make your girlfriend and feel good about herself and also don't comment on her body maybe you know what i mean so if he thinks they're not hot tell him suck it up uh don't be a pussy um and if that's really not his type i would say you need to move on because there are many many many people out there who
Starting point is 01:01:12 don't care about what women do with their body and will see that and not even look twice okay you deserve to feel good and comfortable because listen armpit hair it's hot it's in i've had my armpit hair for like three years now and it's kind of a vibe i do love it someone asked how do i narrow in on my aesthetic i feel like it's all over the place especially with clothing i think you have the wrong mindset here and i hate to say that because i don't want to be like you're wrong but i think the best way to go about it is to allow yourself to break out of the box okay when you try to succumb yourself to one idea it gets really boring when you try to succumb yourself and your incredible vast personality and how you're feeling and how you can express
Starting point is 01:02:01 yourself and your emotions through clothing to just one aesthetic of like oh lolita oh french girl oh you know like punk goth like oh like fairy queen no allow yourself to use clothing as an expression of how you're feeling okay if you're feeling dark and gloomy one day yeah put on that purple part put on that dark pink put on that black put on you know whatever you want if you're feeling kind of boyish yeah put on those basketball shirt shorts put on that oversized t-shirt put on your favorite sneakers oh you're feeling like a cute little fairy today okay put on your favorite dress um put on your fun like boots to go with it you know do jewelry accordingly but when you try to quote-unquote aestheticize yourself and you you try and like move yourself into like a selling
Starting point is 01:02:51 point to other people that's when it's not going to be productive it's going to push you down and push your true self down so be more open to listening to your true self to collecting pieces that do authentically communicate how you're feeling that do kind of you know match um a overall maybe pick a color theme you know what i mean i collect many different pieces of clothing that i find interesting but i always see myself reaching towards pinks and greens and um like dark denim and like uh lots of whites those are what i'm interested in those are what i'm naturally drawn towards and they all seem to kind of go together because like that's for some reason all i pick up um but i don't think you should hinder yourself to one aesthetic i also get
Starting point is 01:03:42 questions a lot that are like how can you know i look more like my pinterest board and the thing i have to say is those girls on your pinterest board made it to the your pinterest board because they put an outfit together that adequately adequately explains how they're feeling at that moment it relatively kind of matches because they've collected enough pieces that authentically fit themselves and then they're probably also just like in a weird pose or something or in a cool background like that's the only reason that they made it on there the pinterest board is not the like end all be all okay um i feel like if you just succumb yourself down to an aesthetic you lose a lot of yourself and I think what really really helps make a good outfit is you being
Starting point is 01:04:28 yourself um also I do use Pinterest for a lot of inspiration I can't lie I'm not trying to criminalize Pinterest in any sort of way but the way that I use it for inspiration is I will look in an outfit and if I'm drawn towards it yes I'll save it to my little outfit board but then instead of being like I need that exact piece I need that exact piece of clothing I want to look exactly like her and then getting too involved in you know the outfit I look at how it's built so let me just like pull up a random picture of like an outfit okay so it's like a girl and she's wearing a summery dress it goes about down to her knees it has like little flowers all over it I'm like cool I don't have a dress like that but I do have somewhat of a long flowy or pink dress similar to
Starting point is 01:05:21 it that's that spaghetti strap style um and she's also wearing a vest over it and now it looks like a cotton cream vest and now I don't have a cotton cream vest but I do like the concept of a vest over a dress so say i take the the pink satin slip dress that i do have and i layer it with uh oh this denim guess um like vest that i do have and say i put that on and okay well i don't like the fit but i do like the vest dress concept okay well let me scroll a little bit further down on my Pinterest board oh okay there's a girl wearing a denim vest and a white t-shirt I have a white t-shirt it's a graphic tee but it will still look cute so I'm gonna do the pink dress with a graphic tee over the top then the vest I'm gonna layer like her and she's wearing black boots and I like
Starting point is 01:06:22 the contrast of the black boots with the white I don't have black boots but I do have say red boots and the red boots well you see how i'm kind of like picking and choosing from these little things and looking at how they built these outfits and you know taking inspiration from the color paths and the way that it's layered and the way that you know they are utilizing their true selves in this not like i need this exact outfit i'm utilizing it as inspiration not something i'm trying to copy and I'm using what I have I think that is the best kind of way to build the best outfit and by using what I have I mean using items that I have collected that I think adequately represent who I am and things that I'm naturally drawn to um not super quote-unquote trend things does that make
Starting point is 01:07:16 sense so I know that was a lot to throw on you but I'll make a I'll make a video on it sometime I promise. Hi, Hannah. Love the pod. My name is Sabrina. I live in New Jersey. I'm so nervous. I don't know why. Okay. So I'm currently sitting on the toilet right now. I know this is like TMI, but I'm currently sitting on the toilet right now. I have about 40 minutes until I have to go to work um kind of stressed hitting my pen here listening to the pod love the pod like I said oh my god I'm scared okay um anyways my question is you said that you have a cat and that you have plants I want to have plants in my house I am terrified that my cat will eat my plants and I don't what I don't know what plants are safe for indoor cats so if you know of any
Starting point is 01:08:14 plants that are safe that are good or even outdoor plants because I don't have a lot of sunlight in my house so please if you could let me know thank you so much love you bye oh my god you're so cute okay so with my cat he's never been interested in plants he's never chewing on plants he'll rub his face on it but I've never seen him take a chunk out of a plant so I've never had issues with him getting sick or with any of my plants being bad for him um that being said if you do have a cat that does like to chew on plants i maybe recommend getting some cat grass or like a designated plant that like yeah he's allowed to chew on but you know if he goes over to this plant to try and chew on it you know maybe a little spray bottle you know like let's train
Starting point is 01:08:58 him up so he knows you know this is safe and this isn't even though you know still a safe plant um just chewing on plants in general that aren't made for cats probably not the best that being said there are a shit ton of cat friendly plants um and i feel like a majority of them are i can't lie um a lot of air plants are good you know they can't really get into that um calathea is a great one they're really big leaf and like kind of brightly colored um snake plants or rattlesnake plants you can even get like hibiscus flowers um what else what else because some flowers i know like flowers are sometimes more toxic to cats than like actual plants boston ferns are great you know pothos those are hanging up on the wall so you know they can't really get to those they're
Starting point is 01:09:56 not going to munch on those any sort of like bamboo is fine um you can get like a big bamboo like bamboo palms almost um money trees another great one if you want like something pink you could get polka dot plants um roses are fine sunflowers are fine um you know rubber plants are probably good most cactuses i think are fine like fishbone cactuses aloe but yeah i do feel like you know cats are are pretty safe around plants as long as they're not the kind to chew on them and if they are definitely deter that behavior my cat is really very uninterested about plants so i'm usually chilling with him um but yeah and before you get one you know always do just a quick little google search you know is this safe for cats and bada bing bada boom you're
Starting point is 01:10:52 set all right let's have a little bits of another bowl and then a few more questions and then i gotta get this uploaded so you guys can have a good day all right let's hit this oh my god oh my god oh i love this question Thoughts on that girl trends and the sad girl and all the labels being put on women right now. Love, love, love, love, love. No, okay, wait. I love this question. Sorry.
Starting point is 01:11:36 I don't love, you know, I don't love the whole thing going on. Do you know what I mean? um I think I've talked about Psy soon before but she mentioned that there's like a war on women and there's constantly a war on women even women against women sometimes and I think like the biggest thing happening right now is people like putting each other down for not being a specific type of way or putting each other down for you know not participating as a certain kind of woman or putting each other down for consuming certain forms of media that they really enjoy she talked about how um teens she made this meme it's like teens in 2008 through 2012
Starting point is 01:12:30 i love feeling my feelings being inspired to write poetry and take chances in love finding safe spaces for my passion passionate and intense nature and then teens in 2020 about the same exact content the fem cell pick me bpd chad cath manipulator mentally ill depressed radical sadness ex-neoliberal bimbified movement is here and it's like lana del rey almost famous like um the virgin suicides girl interrupted fiona apple like grunge tumblr you know all of that um so let me read you what she wrote um youths okay no one prepares you for the way that when deeply loved content from our from your teen years circles back around 10 years later they are now met with a vastly new interpretation that simply reflect reflects the mental state
Starting point is 01:13:24 of the new generation it's so wild and revealing what i see is a new generation obsessed with diagnosis and labels meme brained as built-in featured for processing all of real life not just silly internet moments extremely online and fully aware that going viral means making attention grabbing titles that simplify a nuanced experience into a quirky label we love categorization and i have a reason to believe that the lizard brain is responsible for it an innate urge to define um exists in all of us and i was like totally agree i'm absolutely like you know um guilty of this what am i trying to say um you know like a lot of my titles are very attention grabby i use buzzwords but i think a big thing that i try and do is kind of dismantle how simplified it is
Starting point is 01:14:19 in that buzzword by explaining the depth and the meaning behind it that i think people are trying to you know communicate um you know being that girl is not just being a simplified like hot skinny like you know on her shit kind of girl that's not a that girl that is just you know a very simplified kind of thing um and also probably a very harmful thing that a lot of people idealize through these buzzwords but you know if you take the that girl and you break her down and you ask yourself no let's remove this connotation that we're kind of thinking and go deeply into what is you know quote unquote that girl it's you know the girl who focuses on herself and builds herself up and builds other people around her up and is following her passions and
Starting point is 01:15:14 is deeply passionate and desirable for her life you know um she's working on herself she's not afraid to be messy she's not afraid to be ugly she's not afraid to be who she truly is um you know i feel like it's a big thing that i'm trying to do with um my podcast but do i agree with the way they're being used? Not fully. I don't. But I do think it brings along a bigger conversation that we all can be having. She writes, my only hope is that teens and coming of agers allow themselves to fully immerse in all of this delicious emotional art without getting lost in the habit of politicizing or dubbing it some important identity signifier and battle with another you're simply just projecting or processing your heart enjoy it i'm glad people are still
Starting point is 01:16:03 weeping to dull parts wishing they were named lux and letting lana soothe their their desperate tendencies even if they tediously chalk it up to this to some political anti-movement on their tiktok page moments after some sort of guilty self-explanation or possibly the reason is as predicted predictable as the pathological urge to complexify the most simple things for drama and entertainment someone's got to fill the void i also can't help but feel like everyone's creating this noise just doesn't get it and the desire for categorization increases in realms of what we do not understand or connect to we instead make it into an often negative character of something that validates our own position or maybe all these new connotations are a way to enjoy a guilty
Starting point is 01:16:49 pleasure by sort of apologizing for first but i don't believe in guilty pleasures just pleasures p.s growing up is incredible especially when you revisit the icons from your teens often there's nothing like time traveling with the ones who've colored your life and i love this i love this i feel like a lot of people are trying to you know categorize themselves into something especially like i talked about war on women like um certain categories of women whether it's a sad girl you know by being like i'm a sad girl that's why i consume this content don't get cringed out that i do instead just be like you know what i do enjoy listening to lana del rey i do enjoy consuming you know this movie or i actually do find pleasure in this um and be unapologetic for
Starting point is 01:17:42 it understand that it makes you um who you are sorry i butchered that whole reading my mouth is so dry this is your reminder to hydrate go hydrate real quick but i think it's a great conversation i mean the same kind of way where i'm like don't dumb yourself down to just a aesthetic you know express yourself in many different ways express yourself however you want and be passionate about the way that you do it i think the same thing goes by like not trying to box yourself up and not trying to you know put that label on yourself but also not putting that label on other people as a way to kind of dumb them down um let them just enjoy themselves how they are you know what i mean anyways i just think there are so many complexities
Starting point is 01:18:36 to humans and to our emotions and to who we are and how we want to express ourselves that simply dumbing ourselves down to one kind of ideal one kind of thing never feels good and it's never fair to us but also doing the same to others is never fair to them um you know and i am talking content mostly here and especially with the war on teen girls i i feel like that's constantly been going on ever since i was younger especially with the amount of media we consume we feel this innate sense to like apologize for what we are listening to or apologize for what we are watching because someone has taken the moment to dumb it down to the simple simplified version of like oh you listen to lana del rey okay sad girl okay girl boss girl slay whatever it is like a female
Starting point is 01:19:28 manipulator like whatever um when in reality like i feel like when i listen to a ton of her music or just any of her music it brings along this sense of like um like teen yearning and this feeling that no one has ever taken the moment to describe and girlhood and teenage years and what it's like to romanticize and to want more for your life and to go after it and to take the risks and to get a little dirty like i felt like when i listened to her music i process a lot of my emotions and um the things that i'm feeling and the things that i want to express and maybe didn't know how and i love the romanticized feeling that she has because of i love the word that she used time travel that time travel aspect like i've listened to her at least every
Starting point is 01:20:16 single year of my life so i'm able to travel back throughout those years whenever um she or i listen to her also you know the retro sound that she has like you can be passionate about those things without without having to dumb yourself down in a quote-unquote like self-aware but also self-deprecating kind of way um you can just say you like these things and move on the real issue is the people who kind of have those small-minded ideals stuck in their head and they categorize you into those as well um I've been around these people you know the people who make fun of you for like you know enjoying the things that you do and maybe like not having enough quote-unquote like big brain thoughts about it or not taking away what you're supposed to or not consuming
Starting point is 01:21:06 it right or why are you listening to that like any sort of kind of way like that it's just so closed-minded and it's going to kill you after a while I think it's really good to distance yourself from those kinds of people but also if you are that kind of person um you know become self-aware understand that if if um people were doing that to you constantly it would not feel good so don't do it to other people and maybe people can just consume what they want to consume without feeling guilt um like can we just live you don't have to explain yourself every single moment that you are awake you know you can just be who you are and consume what you want and take away from it what you will and enjoy life for what it is you know stop trying to explain yourself to
Starting point is 01:21:58 other people and categorize yourself and categorize other people let yourself just breathe and exist and live in the pleasures that bring you that joy that you want okay i love you i love this question i think it's so interesting and i can't wait to see you know what people sort of think about this um but i mean you know those hot words those hot topics they they're eye-catching um and i love using them as titles because they're eye-catching but also like i'm gonna take you on a wild ride down a road that you probably never would have thought when it came to these titles do you know what i mean um i think when people are just using them as buzzwords with an empty meeting that's a little different and i think we can all just try and distance ourselves from them
Starting point is 01:22:50 as much as we can i don't know i just used to concern myself so much about like what i enjoyed in the view of like what other people would think about me and i don't think that's beneficial to anyone at all enjoy what you want to enjoy with all the pleasure in the world and don't think about anyone else along the way do you know what i mean someone just said smoking weed in your parents house is literally such an adrenaline rush adventure i love i think that's the only reason why i smoked weed when i lived with my parents it's just because like well it wasn't allowed so i would just get like the best most fun adrenaline rush just like sneaking out my window and smoking a little bowl and then just like leaving the bowl outside and climbing back
Starting point is 01:23:35 through my window i'd be like oh my god i'm so sneaky so fun little teenage adventures right it's about the little things someone asked can love bombing be toxic even if it's genuine that's the thing i don't think love bombing is genuine i think it's a manipulation tactic that people purposefully use within the first few months of dating of like over exerting themselves to a point where it's not even themselves at all and then you know by six seven a year later you know they're not the person they were within those first few months because they were love bombing you know and they stopped doing it i think that's love love bombing there's a difference between just genuinely really really enjoying someone and showing that to them and that being your love
Starting point is 01:24:18 language as long as it continues throughout the relationship sure you know there's a little bit more passion at the beginning there's a little bit more drive but overall you know the feeling should relatively kind of you know stay the same it shouldn't be like in a manipulative way oh my god someone said all my friends clown on me for having a foot fetish babe it's okay i'm not gonna clown on you my my toes better get sucked on they're cute i can't lie it's okay now if you like sucking on toes that's your prerogative as well all i can say is make sure they're clean unless your thing is to have them dirty then go for that as well but also you know like i clown on my friends for their very vanilla takes as well it's just fun to sometimes clown on your
Starting point is 01:25:04 friends um it's just the difference between like is it malicious or are they just like are you guys just giggling together either way as long as they're like okay with you doing it and support you then like of course good friends but you know it's silly it's funny of course my friends would probably clown on me too but do i know they love me and they're just wanting to laugh sure but i won't laugh at you babe i get my toes sucked on i feel you oh someone asked um does body count honestly matter to you question mark question mark question mark um in parentheses your own and your partner's before you dated big fat no i think the biggest thing of growing up is you just like don't care and like why am i gonna hyper fixate on people you've been with when that
Starting point is 01:25:53 was in the past why am I keeping so much of my mind focused on the past when like my future is just me and you you know what I mean um I think it's very much immature to ask that about somebody I think it's very weird if somebody asked my body count I'd be like what's going on what are you what are you asking me because like it's just like it was a very high school thing I feel like um and yeah i don't know if now if they're asking in a sense of like you know just want to make sure we're safe want to make sure you know everybody's std checking now that is a question you can ask but i think it's weird to be concerned about other people's body counts you know what i mean now dating history you can be concerned with that you know if you know they maybe aren't the
Starting point is 01:26:41 best partner if they're switching partner partner partner partner very quickly and they seem to never be able to like um like hold something healthy or like and I don't mean that in like a blaming sort of way but kind of in like a malicious like manipulative sort of way like kind of using people um then like yeah focus on that about somebody but I don't think there's any reason to focus on like body count I think it's very high school anyways this episode was kind of a hot mess but like i loved it it was great little miss hot mess that's the vibe okay uh themes for the day you know don't afraid to be yourself don't afraid get your toes sucked on don't afraid don't be afraid to suck on some toes don't be afraid to share a laugh um don't be afraid to
Starting point is 01:27:27 be yourself um don't feel the need to categorize yourself you know what i mean it's okay you can be little miss hot mess you know maybe you're not hot girl maybe you're hot mess you know there's no need to categorize yourself and also take the time to allow people to enjoy their own things um maybe don't give them a hard time about it you know but do share a laugh if you can i think that's always great um give yourself the time to be who you are to be yourself and to take a breather i think that's very very important um but yeah i think this is gonna be the end of our podcast i'm gonna go lay out by the pool for a little bit get some sun on me and i really encourage you to do the same and i hope you all have a wonderful thursday like i said patreon
Starting point is 01:28:14 will be up soon but i will see you tuesday for another episode of smoke sesh i love you all so so much
