And today I'm joined by two people who love revenge,
Starting point is 00:00:57 Amanda and Olivia. Olivia, you were in a movie with Revenge as a theme. Yes. Which, the reason why I'm in it is because it is my life. I knew that. I was like, this is so Olivia's life. I'm always revenging, avenging, and venging. You're always out for blood.
Starting point is 00:01:18 Always. Yeah. You never go to bed. Never. You just have revenge. I am so tired and sleepy right now. I know I can hear. From all the revenge I do. You're the Batman of Smosh. We all say that. Yes. But hot. Well Batman's hot. Batman's really hot. Wait which Batman's really hot? All of them are hot. Ben Affleck? Hotty. No. I loved him when he spilled all those dunk in coffees. No. All right, well, let's just hop right into these revenge stories, shall we?
Starting point is 00:01:49 I'm so excited. Okay. There's several different revenge reddits, okay? The different rankings of revenge. So the first one we have is from Petty Revenge. Ooh, okay. I faked proof that I had a flat tire so that the lazy people in my group project would have to do the presentations themselves, therefore likely will fail. I'm in a class where a group research project slash presentation is a huge chunk of overall
Starting point is 00:02:17 points. Everyone knows in group projects you always have that one slacker who doesn't do anything that you have to compensate for. However, I got stuck with possibly the three worst people to be in a project with in the class. I did the entire research presentation, poster boards, etc., among many other annoying things myself. I tried talking to them and telling them they needed to put in their share of effort. Ignored. I'd send them tasksk, their their their their their, their, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'd, I'd, I'd their, I'd their, I'd their, I'd their, I'd their, I'd their, I'd. I'd. I'd their, I'd. I'd their, I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I, I, I, I, I. I, I. I. I, I. I. I, I. I. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd their, I'd their, I'd their, I'd their, I'd their, I'd their, I'd their, their, their, today. today. today. today. today. today. today. today. today. today. today. their. their. their. theirthem tasks to do, ignored. I'd try to schedule meetings. They'd say they were coming and then leave me alone at the library. This happened from the get-go. It was abundantly clear that they expected everyone else to do the work,
Starting point is 00:02:51 but everyone else turned out to be just me. Rule. We couldn't have things 100% memorized word for their to actually know the subject. I was fully prepared to do most of the talking and even wrote down a small script for them and told them to know what to say during their part at the very least. The night before I told them we had to meet to at least go over the whole thing one time. Once again none of them showed. At this point I'm livid and decide they can't just do itsed. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the theive thebbid. thebbid. the' the' the' the' siviveived. thiive the' siwoeskiwoesknewoesknewoesknewoesknewoesknewoesknewoesk. the' siolv' siolv' siolv' siolv' siolv' siwe' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' s' to to to to to to to the small info I gave them, and couldn't even bullshit anything because they did no research. Thing is, if we miss without an excuse, we fail the project. If you have an excuse, you have to have documentation. I commute and live an hour away.
Starting point is 00:03:36 So I decided that I'll conveniently have a flat tire right before class. Went out and actually bought a tire so I could have the the the the the the the the the, the, the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, the, tho, the, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, the, the, the, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th, th, th, th, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, thr, thr, thr, thr, thr, and thr.e, and throwne, and throwne, and throwne, and throwne, and throwne, and throwne, and thr-s, and thr-s could have the receipt to prove it. Emailed the professor who said I can present by myself during his office hours. Turns out, they completely bombed. And not only probably failed the project, but since they are bad students, might even make them fail the class. It's edited to say the professor stated that at the beginning, that they were not allowed to contact him about people slacking in the group and said to work it out amongst themselves, said that we were adults, and that he wouldn't even respond to emails about it. Wow, all right.
Starting point is 00:04:13 That's a classic, that's a classic revenge story there. Because I'm sure that happens all the time. I feel like that was like the plot of election, the movie Election with Bruce Witherspoon. And they were like, no, this is too much. We can't do this. This is like a 90s movie. I've never had to do a group project in my life, at least not in college or anything. I had. I have.
Starting point is 00:04:36 I have. And if your group sucks, it sucks. That seems so unfair. Like, that's just crazy that the teacher was like, I don't want to hear about it. And the teacher always, I feel like that's always the case, is the teacher's like, you guys are adults figured out. You're like, but, Melissa's asleep.
Starting point is 00:04:54 Like, all the time. This is incredible. Incredible. There's some comments here. Did you end up presenting in his office later? Did he say anything about their attempt? I presented yesterday. He just told me good job and didn't mention their efforts. Someone else said, you gave him a presentation, or he verbally quizzed you or what? She said, or they said, I gave a full presentation. I think he thought it'd be harder alone and know everything, except jokes on him, I already did.
Starting point is 00:05:25 I kind of love this person right now. Yeah. I'm happy that this person was able to show up and, you know, do their things. Yeah. And I would say, they didn't necessarily, like, they didn't do anything mean to the other people. Like, those, they didn't do anything. th. th. th. th. th. th. they, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, they. they. they. they didn't, they didn't, they. they didn't, they. they didn't, they didn't, they didn't, they didn't, project, everyone should have been able to do it on their own, and they simply said, oh, I'm just, I can't make it. They just backed away and let the group burn. Because if this had genuinely happened,
Starting point is 00:05:53 this would have happened anyway. So it doesn't make a difference. They didn't go out of their love to know what happened next and someone from the group was like show me that receipt right now. It sounds like I mean they had the receipt. Wait wait wait what's going on with a flat tire? So they genuinely bought a tire so that they had a receipt of like I had to get a new tire because I so they didn't just lie they actually had documentation because that part just feels... because they needed the the their it it it it it it it it it it the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their to to to to to to their their to to toe. It's to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to their. they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they their their their their their te.e.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s. I. I they they they they they they they they they didn't just lie, they actually had documentation because they didn't up their way. That part just feels... Because they needed it.
Starting point is 00:06:28 The teacher said, I need documentation. That part feels strange a little bit. Yeah, it's a bit much. Yeah. Like they were like, oh, I can't wait to get in this group and watch them fail. Like it felt like they were just like, yeah. I thu that's that's felt like that's felt like that's that's the one their their their their their their their their their they they they they they they they they they guess that's the one argument is like they almost made they inconvenienced themselves and spent money and spent money when at the end of the day it's no different for them but I don't know you there's there's
Starting point is 00:06:55 there's people and I'm sure in the comments you can argue like hey these people didn't put in the work yeah they deserve to pass on on your back like did they they they failed they they the the they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to they they they they they they they they they pass? No, they failed because they didn't, she didn't go and do the presentation with them. But whatever. I don't know. I think it's good petty revenge. This is overall small. Yeah, I think it's small. Like, if you're not going to take the class seriously,
Starting point is 00:07:17 you can take it again. Yeah, I thi. process just maybe their egos and a tire I would have loved to know yeah at a tire well not really yeah they didn't damage the they didn't damage the tire they just bought a new tire they didn't actually well now I thought she was about to go and like actually puncture her own tire like to have a photo of like here's my flat tire but no just bought a new tire this person did more damage to a the the the the to to the the to the the th I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I th I th I th I th. th. th. I just. th person did more damage to themselves to be honest because they were up all night like right while the other three weren't even thinking about I if I was in her position I would have fantasized about doing that yeah yeah I could not have executed but look I do I get a little bit of shot in Freud from from hearing this yeah yeah they probably felt really good but the teacher good job get out the teacher teacher did not care okay they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they the they the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th th th th th th th tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho the tho the tho the the, get out. Yeah, teacher did not care. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:05 They put in so much work, they have an hour-long commute. So it really, they, I will say, this wasn't like they gave them no opportunities. This sounds like a lot of bending over backwards until finally caving it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I get it. They were ghosting her. I mean, th. T th. T th. T th. T th. T's th. T's th. T's th. The's the th. T, the the th. T, th. T, I thi. thi. thi, I thi, I they're g. T, I they're go. T, I they're go. I will, I will, I will they were, I will they were gos her. I mean, this whole situation is really stressing me out. Did this happen to you?
Starting point is 00:08:26 I'm really stressed out. No, I'm just like, ugh. Like, I'm sorry. This sucks for everyone except the professor. Yeah. Oh, the professor had strong boundaries. Professor was like, I'm not dealing with this. I just think the professor should be able to like, I don't know, like the concept, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, the professor, to to to the professor, to to to to be to be to to be the professor should, to be to be to to to to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thoo the the the the the the the the the the the the theaugh, I, I'm, I'm toe., I'm toe., I'm toe., like, like your, I don't know, like don't tell your students, like, I don't want to deal with this. I just wish, I don't like the concept, at least in college of group projects.
Starting point is 00:08:49 Yeah, like get a life. I don't like that. I get it in high school because I think there's a lot of, I think there's a lot of stuff a group project and it does tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea te work, te work, te work, te work, te, te, tea, teat teat, teat, teat, teat, teat, teat, teat, to to tha to to to to to to to to to to to to to to tha, at tha, at tha, at tha, at tha, at tie, at tie, at tie, at tie, at tie, at tie, at tie, tie, tie, tie, th...... I, th. I, th. I th. I th. I thi, like, like, like, like, thea, like, thea, like, thea, like, thea, I thea, like, like, like, thea, thea, like, like, like, like, like, I tha. I tha. Is this like are we in the 90s? Like are we in a 90s movie right now? This feels like a 90s movie. Doesn't it? Did you guys watch election? No, I haven't seen election. Matthew Broderick and Reese Witherspoon. It's so intense. I guess my main takeaway is like in college people are spending a lot of money to take this class. Yes. It should be on them alone to pass it. I agree. Making a group a group a group a group a group a group a group a group a group a group. A group. A group. A group. A group. A group. A group. A their. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. A. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. to. the. the. the. th. the. th. th. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. it. I think making a group project, I think it's unfair. Like these dynamics are going to happen and that sucks. I was thinking about that and then I was playing devil's advocate saying oh maybe a group project will help you know build strengths and communication. I think that's good for high school.
Starting point is 00:09:37 Right, not in college. By that time you should be able to know how to do this. Yes, exactly. Exactly. But th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th I I I I I've th I've th I've thi thi thi thi. thi thi thi thi's thi's thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th th th th th th th th. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi is thi is theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. And thi thi how to do this. Exactly. Exactly. You know, even now, you know, even now. You are so stressed. Even now, I've had experiences where I have to work, not here. Okay, this is something I don't need to talk about right now. Okay. All right, let's move on to the next one. We got another petty revenge here. You don't like your boyfriend seeing me brallis in the dorm, then he won't. I don't know where this is going. I live in a college dorm on an all-female floor. I usually wear a bra if leaving the dorm building, but I'm not going to put on a bra under my shirt just to walk down the hall to the bathroom. A few days ago I left my room. A few days ago I left my room. A ta' the room the room than' than' thau, thau, tape, I tape, tha, I ta, ta, I ta, I ta, ta, ta, I ta, I tha, I thau, I thau, I thau, I tha, th. I thau, I th, I th, I th, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm th, I'm th. I'm th. I, I th. I, I, I th. I, I th, I th, I th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. I th. I th. I thi, tod, toda, today, today, the, the, ttttttttttttttttttoday, ttttoday, ttoday, the, the. the. I'm the. I'm the walked 10 yards down the hall to the water fountain, refilled my water bottle and went back to my room. I was wearing a white tank top and no bra.
Starting point is 00:10:28 The tank top was fitted but not see the throw sothrow so you could only see the outline of my nips. There was a small group of people'd seen in the hall. She said something to the effect of, hey, so sorry to ask this, but if you go out to the hall again, could you put a bra on? My boyfriend's out there and he was staring a little so what? What? Oh my god, get your man's dude. to get your man. I'm super non-confrontational so I was like, yeah, thational. thra- thna, thian. thian, thian, thian, thian, thian, thian, thian, thian, thr- thu, thu, thu, thu, thr- thr- th- th- th- th- th- th- thr- thr- tho, tho, but tho, but tho, but tho, but th, but th, but th, but th, but th, but th, but th, but th, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but th, but, but th, but th, but th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, tho, tho, thoooo' thooooooo' thooooo' th thooooo' th thooooo, th, th, th, but th, sorry about that. And for the rest of that night, any time I left my room, I put a bra or sweater on. And that was the end of it, or so I thought. The next day, my roommate told me, she'd overheard the girl telling a few of her friends
Starting point is 00:11:12 about the incident while in the bathroom. She said the girl was at the water fountain, posing to push out my tits, the whole works. When she left the bathroom, my roommate said the girl was actually acting it out at the water fountain, pretending to be me. Oh, I'm pissed. That night, I passed the girl and some of her friends on my way to go brush my teeth. I wasn't wearing a bra, I was already in pajamas. The girl looked point, the girl the girl, the girl, the girl, the girl, the girl, the girl, the the girl, the tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th. thu, th. th. thu, th. tho, tho, tho, tho, thu. the that, tho, the girl, the girl, the girl, the girl, the girl, the girl, the girl, the girl, the girl, the girl, the girl, the girl, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the, and, and, and, and, and, the the, and, the. ta, was, ta. ta.a. ta.a.a. ta. ta. ta. ta. tea. tea. teiggling. But the last straw was when the entire dorm got an email from the RA yesterday saying she'd gotten some anonymous complaints about people dressing inappropriately in the hallways and asking that we all just make sure we're keeping things covered up.
Starting point is 00:11:56 So here's where I got my petty little revenge. I knew that the girl's boyfriend doesn't go to college here. The girl and I were in the same orientation group and chatted a th, th. the the th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their their their their their their their their tree. tea.ea. teauu. teau. tea. tea. tea. tea. the the their their their their their their their the girl's boyfriend doesn't go to college here. The girl and I were in the same orientation group and chatted a bit back then. I also knew that due to the pandemic, we aren't allowed to have non-student family guests in the dorms this year. So I used the same anonymous complaint form to issue a complaint about people bringing the off-campus boyfriends into our dorm and them not wearing a mask. masks. That's right. Mass are mandatory in the hallways, although not frequently enforced. This morning the RA emailed again saying that due to anonymous complaints they'd be enforcing the no off-campus guests rule by checking IDs of unfamiliar guests to make sure they were students from then on. Really This girl should be thanking me. If she was concerned about her boyfriend
Starting point is 00:12:39 seeing the vague outline of my tits in the dorm hallways, she no longer needs to worry. This one gets me fired. Yeah. I am not okay with women shaming other women. I, I, this made me so mad. Like, that is straight up, bullying and shaming. That's why we can't wear braz anymore. Okay?
Starting point is 00:13:02 Also I think there's a lot of deep rooted shame and judgment and insecurity from the other girl. Yes. Oh yeah. And she's doesn't know how to express it and there is some there's some issues between her and her boyfriend and some sort of mistrust insecurity and she's projecting it onto another woman. But hopefully she can learn and grow because that is... That's gonna cause her more pain in the future if she thinks that women just being themselves is affecting her relationship and causing problems in her relationship. You have to look at your own relationship. Yes. Get your man out of there. Look at your own relationship
Starting point is 00:13:45 with women and men and your own body and how you feel about other people's women. Women should be bringing other women up and like it's it's it's the woman's fault. It's it's it's the woman's fault. Yeah. Meanwhile he's over here like, like, hey don't fucking stare. lick and she's just like, hey, he can't help it. Sorry. She's like, babe, hey. Stop it! He's like, woo! He's like, woo! He can't help that he's a wolf from a Looney Tunes cartoon in the 40s. There's some comments. I'm also pretty petty. I have to tell you that before I got to the end. Starting point is 00:14:36 would have. Someone else said I like how him looking at your tits somehow means you need to correct your behavior. That. That's. That's what they said. Someone else said nipples through a shirt. Next you'll tell us you regularly flash your ankles to nobility, you utter harlot. Okay that person's like I'm gonna have a fun joke with this. That's a very Reddit response right there. Yeah, insane. I like I, I thi thi thi thi thi, I thi, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, thi, thi, thi, thin, thin, thin, thin, th. Starting point is 00:15:13 What's hard is like they're in college and in college you're just really figuring yourself out. Yeah, man. But if that happened and she was in her 30s, thuke, that's been like, excuse me? Yeah. Oh yeah. She would have like, sure, no problem. And then just been topless. Oh yeah. I'm getting water in the cooler like, morning. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Like, but in college it's so hard. Our brains are molded and we're all insecure. We're all figuring it out. But I just, I hate when women get other women to gang up, and that's specifically making fun of her body, straight up. Do you remember when Florence Pugh went out in that dress and her nips were showing through and people were commenting about it? No. Yeah, they were like, just like being so harsh about her nips,
Starting point is 00:15:55 and she's like, excuse me? Like, what are we talking about this the other day? I'm like, why can't I go without a bra? thua, to........, to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, toe. toe, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the to, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the th. thr. thr. thr. thr. thr. the thr. the the th th the th th the th th th toea. toe. toea. toe. toe. toe. thr. toe have to like put, I was just talking about this the other day, I'm like, why can't I go without a bra? Well, I would get the cops calling me, but honestly like, I just feel like it's like we've just shamed women's bodies so much. If I could go so deep, it's like we've shamed women's bodies, like, there's no help for us to like be a woman. It's like, tampons and pads. It's like cover it up. Shut that down. We're like what? Even now like we're being shamed always constantly. Like that's kind of always like the topic of discussion is what this person's. Did you believe? Yeah, I could see her nips. Yeah, everything is. I remember in like improv, improv class. It was like, Bobbo's not wearing a bra, it was so distracting.
Starting point is 00:16:45 It's like, what? She has boobs. It's, it's especially crazy when you think about the troops over the years of all the college stories of like, dude streaking and like whatever. And like, I feel like a dude, a dude, literally, I mean, because you hear stories, like a dude, naked and it's kind of like ha ha ha. Do you see what Dave did? He's such a legend and it's like he's not like it guys do get much more of a pass for that. And then a woman is literally
Starting point is 00:17:10 in in the comfort of her home technically. She's in the comfort of her home getting water from the bubler like, tee-di-di I can't want to stay hydrated. I'm a good person and it's like you slack. She's in the comfort of her home. Yeah, like her boyfriend shouldn't be there, like leave. Get a life! Yeah. Did you never bring your boyfriend to your college dorms? I didn't really go to college. But, um, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:38 I went to my boyfriend's dorm and... Everyone had their boyfriends in their dorms. And none of them had a problem problem, to to Western Mass it was like nakey well let's move on okay this next one comes from malicious compliance so malicious compliance is in case you haven't heard it's when someone like demand something of you something sitty or like like gets on your case about something and you comply with it. To be mean.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Yeah. Like you're not supposed to do that. Okay, I'm not supposed to do that. Yeah, following the rules in a shitty way, but in a professional way. Um, manager tries to crack down on dress code. I respond by wearing yoga pants to work. Okay. So I'm a 34-year-old man. th-a-a-a-a-a-o-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. I'm to-s. I'm to-s. Okay. Okay. I I'm a 34-year-old man. And I used to work at a popular convenience store, really popular
Starting point is 00:18:31 with a cult-like following, chain years ago. I've always been a bit of a clown, but very good at following rules while doing so. After working there a few years and seeing managers come and go, we got a new woman who was just miserable and really wanted to flex her authority. Shortly after she started, she posted, the uniform, she the uniform, she the uniform, she the uniform, she the uniform, she the uniform, she the uniform, she the uniform, she the uniform, she the uniform, she the uniform, she the uniform, she the uniformed the uniformed, the uniformed, the uniformed, their their the, and I the, and I thi, and I thu, and I thui, and I to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, and I, was just miserable and really wanted to flex her authority. Shortly after she started, she posted the uniform portion of the handbook in the break room and started complaining about people's attire but clearly took the biggest issue with girls wearing yoga pants.
Starting point is 00:18:56 So me being the petty rule follower I combed through the policy and noticed some things in the wording. The rule stated that yoga pants are allowed as long as the ankles flared, and there was no gender designation for these articles. Q malicious compliance. I and a friend went to Walmart after work and bought me a couple pairs of flared yoga pants. Now mind you, I'm not a huge guy, but I am chubby and have a big beard.
Starting point is 00:19:20 I began wearing them almost every day I worked and especially if she was working. This infuriated her. I would regularly hear her protests and even saw her go to the AGM, Assistant General Manager and General Manager. Their response was always, I can't say anything, he's in dress code. This continued for a month tops before she requested a transfer. But what made it even more fun was trolling weird, pervert customers. They would stand at the deli area and g the the the the the the the young the young the young the young the young the young the young the young the young the young the young the young the young the young the young the young the young the young the young the young transfer. But what made it even more fun was trolling weird, pervert customers. They would stand at the deli area and gawk at the young ladies working,
Starting point is 00:19:49 especially if they were bent over the hot food table. When I would notice this, I would sidle over beside them and give the boys two butts to look at before whipping my head around and making eye contact with them. The level of disgust on their face is filled my heart with joy. So edit, so I'm new to this whole Reddit thing, and I didn't know how to edit for an update at first, but the outpouring of positivity and support has been wonderful. I do still own the yoga pants, so the possibility of picks does exist.
Starting point is 00:20:16 And unlike when I worked at Wawaw, my job is just more physical, so I might fill them out better, LOL. That's awesome. Oh, isn't it crazy that when you were talking, I pictured this man having a huge beard? Yeah. I don't know why. I was like, this guy has a huge beard. Oh, did he said that eventually. But even before he said that, I was like, this man just has a huge beard. I love this man. I love this man. I love th. th. like I didn't understand it when I was in school Because I think we did have weird dress code stuff because I was in Arizona and you know
Starting point is 00:20:49 It's like the school district was weird. I've never understood like people who freak out over what people are wearing I've never comprehended it especially to this degree like, you know, why is? why is any boss freaking out? Also, it's a convenience store, correct? Yeah. Let them wear yoga pants. Yeah. I don't get it. No one wants to wear jeans and a convenience store. I never walk into a convenience store and think about what the worker is wearing. No. You don't even see because usually they're behind a counter or something.
Starting point is 00:21:20 I just want to know where the bananas are. Yeah. You get bananas at convenience stores? Mmm. What's a convenience store? Like a 7-Eleven or a the-Waw? Yeah, sorry. You don't. Oh, I don't. No.
Starting point is 00:21:35 You get Gatorade. Gatorade? I'm like, where's the convenience store? the tall boys, and I need five of them. Where are the four locos and I need five of them? Give me a four logo. Also, like, I think, I think working in a convenience store, you can just wear whatever the F you want. Yeah. You're kind of like sitting behind the cast.
Starting point is 00:21:57 I kind of hate that like the men are gawking at the women in the yoga pants, but I love that that th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the th. the the tho the thathea that is the men the men the men that is thathea. I the men that is th. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I that. I tho. I tho. I tho. I that, I that, I that, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. Yeah. I love that too. I can picture the whole thing. Come and get it, boys. Where is this? Do we know? Well, it's a wawaw, so I'm assuming it's East Coast. Some comments, not only were you maliciously compliant with the boss, but you were
Starting point is 00:22:19 protecting your co-workers, the over backwards to serve your customers. I hope you made employee of the month. That's the same Harlot. Yeah, that's the same guy. He's on a roll. He's scrolling. He's like, oh. Dale, you are killing it.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Yeah. Someone else said, a couple years ago I got challenged on wearing shorts. with any customers or vendors. I was told the dress code said pants are required. I asked about leggings and yoga pants as the girls in the office wear them daily. Yes, but those are pants. Q my wearing the most outrageously tight and poor taste yoga pants and leggings. I am a heavy man. This was not a good look. Manager in question took all of the week to okay my wearing shorts. It's so funny. What is wrong with wearing shorts, yoga yoga, yoga, what? I don't know, man. Some people just love... People get uncomfortable. I think some people love controlling other people is really... People love controlling. I also would really love to know what are flared yoga pants. I have them. Not the skinny ones. It's like the bell bottoms. They're gonna slidetried doing a downward dog with it on,
Starting point is 00:23:28 it, no, it's, I'll wear it for you. I'll wear it for you. Great, I cannot wait. I cannot wait. Did you guys ever have to deal with insane dress codes at any place you worked or anything? Yeah, like restaurants and bars. Very insane.
Starting point is 00:23:42 And then at one point we all needed to get no slip shoes. They're the ugliest shoes you've ever seen in your life. You're like, these are so ugly. Yeah. But then vans, vans actually make some really cool non-slip shoes and those were really cool. And then a new manager came in and was like, you can't wear vans. I was like, fight me! thigh, it would be, I me. Yeah. It would be, I mean, if you fell, that sucks for you. I've definitely, but wait, there was a server who was not wearing no slip shoes.
Starting point is 00:24:13 And I'm not going to name him, but maybe Kimmy remembers. He was walking, and he slid. And he had so much food, and it fell up in thethe air and then he slammed his head on the railing and was covered in blood. And he fucking died. He's covered in blood, no, he's alive and fine. He's covered in blood and like coming out with food and he was like, fuck this place.
Starting point is 00:24:39 Oh no! Do you know what I'm talking about? Before we move on, I want to point out this awesome sweatshirt I'm wearing. It's at Smosh.com now. You can get it, Overthink Everything. That's what I do about it. Yeah, it's what we all do all the time. What's great is this is embroidered. So this is really nice, it's a little star here too. Star wipe! Which I really like. And on the back, you got a nice, let's do this. Let's do this.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Let's overfitch compliance, let's do this. It's so cute. I love the Starwipe. It's really nice. It's nice, it's nice quality. It's very comfy. I love it. It's a nice, peach salmon. Salmon, yeah. Love this color. Fishing salmon in the Yemen. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Moving on. Never touch your truck again. You got it, neighbor. Oh God. I posted this on the MI the asshole sub, but many people were saying it has been malicious compliance and posted here too. I am a 59 year old man and live in a major city in Ontario, Canada. I live in a small subdivision and have five neighbors total on my street. For the past few years, during the winter when we're getting a lot of snow or bad storms,
Starting point is 00:25:51 as I'm leaving for my overnight shift at around 8 to 9 p.m., I'll put my wife's windshield wipers up on her car and do a quick not if they're outside or something, but if it looks like they're in for the night. Many of them forget to do this, as many of them have children and it typically slips their mind, and their wipers will be frozen to their car in the morning. It's just something nice I like to do there will be nights where I'll forget to put my wife and my wife's up and in the morning one of the neighbors has done it for us. This is a typical Canadian behavior. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:26:30 Anyway, recently one of our neighbors moved and a new family moved in as of last week. It's a young couple and their two young children. The other night I was leaving for my overnight shift at around 9 p.m. It was snowing really heavily and we were supposed to be getting almost 30 centimeters of snow and it was freezing out. So I put my wife's wipers up and do my casual, quick walk around to the other neighbors. I was hesitant when I reached my new neighbor's house as I've only introduced myself once, but did it anyway. As I was putting the second wiper up on their pickup truck, the husband came charging out of his front door yelling, hey, what the fuck are you doing to my truck? I tried to explain to him I was just putting his wipers up to help him. He continued to scream at me to,
Starting point is 00:27:10 get the hell off my property and don't touch my shit again. The wife then came out and started yelling at me too. I apologized and started walking away. Some of my other neighbors heard the commotion, thoomomomomomomomomomomomomomomomomomomom, to to to to to to to th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. tho, the, to to to the, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the th. th the, I, the the, the the, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to see what was happening. They tried explaining to him too that it's just something we do. Both of them weren't having it. Fast forward to this morning, I'm arriving home from my overnight shift and as I'm walking in I see the wife of this couple struggling outside to break the ice off the windshield wipers of the truck. Guess she was trying to try and takeo' the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the toease. She sees me and yells over, hey there, do you mind giving me a hand please? I looked over to her and yelled back, no sorry, thought I was never to toucest your shit again ma'am and walked back inside. She yelled back at me.
Starting point is 00:27:56 told my wife about this. She thinks I should have helped her because she was just trying to get her kids to school. I disagree as I was just following what they told me. Yeah. Here's what I think. I agree with the wife. I think that actually he would have been the hero in that scenario. If he went over and helped and went, and this is what I was trying to do last night so he would have to deal with that. walked away mic drop. Yeah, you know, this is where I agree. And for me, in my mindset, if I'm him,
Starting point is 00:28:28 I'm not thinking about what people deserve or what's like right. Because I'm like, he's justified. He's justified. But these are your neighbors, and you have to live next to them. Yes. For potentially years, you want to start that rivalry, that you want to keep that going that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be toe. toe. tooome. tooome. tooome. toe. toe. toe. toeous. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to bea. to bea. to bea. toe. t. ttoe. ttoea. ttoea. tea. toea. toooooooeananananananananeckeckeckeckeckeckeckease. toea. toea want to start that rivalry, that you want to keep that going cool, but that would have been an opportunity to be like, all right, things are going to be easier
Starting point is 00:28:48 from here on out. They're assholes. They're assholes. But you're not going to have to deal with as much as much shit from them if you like, thi. thi's, liketo make your life easier. But be the better man and then the wife can go tell the husband and like, we should really go over there and apologize. He ended up like he was right and he's so kind even though we were jerks to him.
Starting point is 00:29:12 Like, I think it's more of a killing them with kindness situation. Yes. I'm just overall confused because I thought Canadians were supposed to be nice. these neighbors moved from. And I will say, for a lot of places, you know, if you saw someone messing with your car, you would freak out. And I don't think the guy's an asshole for coming out yelling if he saw someone touching his car. I think there's always a nicer way to say things to people that you don't, if they're doing something that you don't like, you don't have to scream at they.................... to have to have to scream, to scream, to scream, to scream, to scream. to scream. to scream. to scream. to scream. they. to scream. to scream. they. they. And they established, like, hey, we all in this neighborhood,
Starting point is 00:29:48 he's not actually doing anything to your car where everything's fine, but they still wouldn't let it up. I think what's really hard is that human beings, when they go so hard into something, it's very hard for them to go, you're right. It's true. Actually, I'm sorry. So he was probably fuming for a while, and then he was probably up all night being like, why didn't I just let go? Yeah, maybe. There was opportunities to come back later and be like,
Starting point is 00:30:11 hey, I'm sorry, I overreacted. But that just shows you that he's probably just a fucking asshole. Yeah, well, and also, and also, and also, and also, and also, and also, and also, and also, and also, and also, and also, and also, and also, and, and, and also, and, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th. they, they, th. th. th. they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they're, they're, they're, they.. they. they're, they. they. th. th. th. th. they. they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're,, like, they think, oh, I can yell at you all I want, and then, but then you still owe me. Yeah, exactly. I don't know, I, that's the only reason. But I do understand, if I saw someone in my yard, I can understand that in the moment you might yell and freak out. Yes. But you have a chance after that to go, hey, to apologize.
Starting point is 00:30:41 But they didn't do that. I'm going to be thinking about this story for a while. Yeah, this is a fascinating one. This makes me really sad that like he had like a whole neighborly routine and neighbors do take care of you. You grew up in a snow here. I don't get like when you were first telling you the story I was like windshield wipers. What? What's going on? I grew up in Massachusetts. I grew up in Massachusetts winter it was below freezing. But the thing is I would never my mom or dad would never walk around and do people's windshields like everyone just did that themselves but the biggest thing for us is when the plow guy was going by if he liked you and knew the neighbor he would plow your driveway for you. That's nice. Otherwise my entire life growing up
Starting point is 00:31:25 was every daughter had to do two hours of shoveling. What? Two hours? Every night. Wait, wait. No. Two hours of shoveling every night. My mom would give us 10 bucks.
Starting point is 00:31:36 And it was just a part of my life. And then when I started driving, you'd have to wake up an hour before to shovel out your car, scrape. So what you do is you have a scraper, you scrape the top and then as you're warming up your car. So when you warm up your car, it actually warms up the frozen and then you scrape. No wonder everyone on the East Coast is so pissed off. We're so angry. We're so angry. Yeah. You're so mad when people like, take time off because we're like, what the fuck?
Starting point is 00:32:06 I have to go to work. And that's why I left because I was done being so angry. Yeah. Wait, you were shoveling snow for two hours? Every night. Why? That's just a part of your life. What are the shakingtalk about the snow in its romanticized fantasy idea of like the snow, how lovely.
Starting point is 00:32:30 I hate to ski. I hate the snow. I love snow, I love snow, I love snow, I love snow. I love snow, I love snow. I love snow and I loved. I love it for like sledding and building a snow when I was. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I was. I was, th. I was, th. I. I. I was, th. I was, th. I was, th. I was, th. I was, th. I was, the th. I was, the the the to, the to. the to, the the the snow, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the the the the th. And, thoananananananananananananananananananananananananananananananananananan, tha, thanananananan, the the the thananananan, the the the snowmen in sled, it was great, but I still had to work my ass off to get out. I only experienced the snow when I was very little when we lived in Virginia, and so I never had to shovel snow. I can't, I don't find any joy in snow, cold, snowman.
Starting point is 00:32:56 Honestly, it creates character. Yeah. But you do have to leave the East Coast or else you become crumudgeon. We have some comments here. You reminded her, you reminded her of her and her husband's earlier yelling at you for trying to help and her response to that reminder is to call you an asshole instead of apologizing, admitting she really does need help. Yeah, these are not nice people. You're better off not having any kind of relationship with them. I I think that's that's, there's not enough information to go like, yeah, don't talk to these people ever again, but certainly based on that, they should mend things.
Starting point is 00:33:28 It's just not worth it. It's nice, it's good to have, it's good to, you know, have good neighbors and have good neighbors and have good neighbors and have good relationships. It's good to have good neighbors. Yeah, your wife, their is, their is, their is, their is, their is, their is, their is their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their thi. their thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, thi. Yeah, they're they're they're they're they're they're they's they's they's they's they's they's, they. they. they. they. they. they. they. Yeah. they. they. they. they. they. Yeah, I. Yeah, they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're thin. thin. theanananananananananananananananananananananananan't things. theananananananananananananananananananed. Yeah how other neighbors tried to explain to them and they wouldn't listen, they're on their own. Probably for other stuff as they made a bad first impression. Someone else said, oh boy, it looks like a lot of neighborly feud stories for years to come. See, that's where my mind is that. that I'm like, their assholes definitely, I mean, look, if I, if if if if if if if if if if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, the, the, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. th. th. th. th. th. th. they. they. they they th. they also try to like mend this and it's not fair
Starting point is 00:34:08 But I would try because I'm like you don't want to deal with some people next to you who hate you Yes, like in the movie Megan. Yeah, oh my god. Maybe they have an Android daughter who's gonna kill your dog. Exactly. What was the dog's name? That was driving me crazy. She's like, your dog is running all over my yard and she's like, ah, I don't care. All right, let's, let's keep it moving. This is another petty revenge. Bluetooth speaker, revenge. One of my neighbors loves to blast loud music and watch soccer every damn night with his friends. I've had enough and wanted to do something original just to annoy him and give him a good scare. While I was on my phone I noticed a bunch of devices in the Bluetooth settings. I saw an unsecured Bluetooth speaker. So naturally I waited until they were all asleep and then I
Starting point is 00:34:54 pared my phone with it. I then played a super loud window-breaking sound effect and since there's absolutely no soundproofing here I could hear it through the wall along along with their. their. their. their. their. their, their, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, their, I, their, their, I'm, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I's, I's, I's, I's, I's, I's, I's, I's, I's, I's, I's, I's, the, the, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the, thea, thea, their, their, thea, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, could hear it through the wall along with their screams. I had to laugh in a pillow to not get caught. I hope that I'll be able to sleep because I can't stop thinking about it. It was really entertaining. Oh my God! So the comments are all people suggesting other things that they can play on their Bluetooth speaker. This isn't going to solve anything. No. Like, they're not, this isn't, like they're,
Starting point is 00:35:26 this isn't fixing the problem. They're going to continue to play loud music and stuff. Why didn't he just go and knock on their door? And be like. Yeah, they didn't establish that they've tried to ask. Dude, stop. You don't want to like prank like a like like like like like like like like like like like like like like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to prank like to like to like effects, like a fully grown grizzly bear is in their place. It sounds like a horror movie,
Starting point is 00:35:50 like the start of a horror movie, like it just goes all horribly wrong. So there was only one comment apparently in this thread that said, have you tried actually talking to them? I like that comment. I think, yeah. My only issue is like, don't do this until you've literally gone and asked. Because maybe they don't think it bothers anyone.
Starting point is 00:36:08 Maybe they don't think, I could see in an apartment setting being like, maybe we don't have neighbors on that side. Or like, depending, like, that can happen. I don't know. You have to let them know because my apartment building, it's like an old, like, kind of vintagey, I think it's from the 1920s. And I didn't know this, but my neighbor below me could hear everything. Like when my dog would run around, it sounded like a fucking tornado. So it's like, I didn't know until he told me.
Starting point is 00:36:38 He was like, oh my God. Right. And so I'm very aware, like, if I'm going to work out in the place, I'm not going to do it late at night. I see the thing is for me I'm someone who's not bothered by sounds coming from like neighbors or anything. I am so bothered by sounds. I'm not bothered whatsoever. I can sleep straight through it and sometimes it's actually comforting for me. I feel like with little kids, parents, you know how like the newer parents are like, they are very quiet with their kids, but I don't know if you grew up with your parents being loud that you got to use that.
Starting point is 00:37:45 Well, there was already, like, I was the youngest, so I think by that point, it was like whatever, like, and my brothers probably were loud like and stuff and I just grew up with that around. Me too. I just could sleep through anything. I love like dead silence. I love like, thi. Sam, when he's next, like last night he was watching Mission Impossible. That's awesome. And I'm like, please.
Starting point is 00:38:06 In bed? Yeah, headphones. Get out of here. Sick as hell, dude. Too loud. That's what H will do. He'll watch you and then it'll be, it's you. And I'm like, you need to, you need to turn that down.
Starting point is 00:38:17 He's like, OK. light is there and I'm just like God. Another petty revenge here. Throw food at my car, enjoy deep cleaning your interior. Okay, that was a long title. This happened to me about a couple years ago. My wife and I were headed back from a trip to Costco. While there I grabbed their amazing $1.50 hot dog and a drink combo and mixed ice tea and lemonade together. This is important later. We got off the freeway and I had to to to stop to stop to stop to stop the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. their the the the the the the. the the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeauuuuuu. theeeeeauu. theeeeauu. theau. thea. thea. thea lemonade together. This is important later. We got off the freeway and I had to stop for a red light on the off-ramp, then immediately caught the next red light off the freeway. As I was waiting for the light and talking to my wife, a little biscuit bounces off the hood of my car.
Starting point is 00:38:54 I looked to my left and what the fuck. He says, I made him break hard at the light before, and I should have just driven through. I said the light was red, moron. That's how shit works. I'm sure not running a red light because some dumb ass isn't paying attention. He throws another biscuit at my car. So I grabbed my drink. I'm right-handed, and my car, newer Camero, has tiny windows. So I didn't have much hope on my accuracy
Starting point is 00:39:26 throwing this out the window with my left hand. And this was obviously a work truck. Really doubtful he'd care if he got a drink on the outside of his truck. But I put my faith in the most high and through that drink. He watched it fly through the air, totally nonplussed until it went right through his passenger window and exploded inside the truck. Luke Skywalker didn't feel as accomplished making that shot through the exhaust port as I did seeing an Arnold Palmer erupt all over his cloth seats. He immediately started searching his truck for
Starting point is 00:39:56 something else to throw and I floored it laughing as loudly as I could out my window. I just loved that it was biscuits. How many biscuits did this guy have? He wasted so many biscuits. Yeah, I would not waste biscuits on some asshole. He was giving him biscuits. I don't, I don't, I don't really like when people are, are aggressive on the road. Well, yeah, I mean, yeah, it like causes murder.
Starting point is 00:40:20 Yeah, yeah, it's a problem. Look, I would never never th. th. th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi thi thi, I thi, I would thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. I would not thi. thathea. I would not thi. I would not thi. I would not thi. I would not thi. I would not thi. I would not thi. I would not thi. I would not th problem. Look, I would never, I would never do this. I like, I think it's a funny story, but I would never throw food at someone else's car, even if they threw, like, I would keep my window rolled up. What? Yeah. I would keep my window rolled up because I'd be scared. Because I'm like, you don't know how crazy. I always assume when I'm like, you don't, I'm, I'm, I'm, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, tho, tho, thin, thi, thi, I thi, I thi, I thi, I tho, I tho, I tho, I would tho, I would tho, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I tho, I would tho, I would tho, I would tho, tho, tho, thin, tho, thin, thoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, tho, tho, murderer. Like, I'm like, that person's a murderer. Especially if they drive crazy.
Starting point is 00:40:46 I'm like, that means they already kind of don't care about people's safety. Don't engage. Never engage. Never engage. But I think someone was throwing biscuits at my car. I think I would laugh. I would laugh really hard and be like, oh! So here's some comments here. I'd be too afraid of the repercussions to do this, but I love that you did. Someone said
Starting point is 00:41:12 throwing biscuits is the human equivalent of a chimpanzee flinging its poo. Someone said, hey, free biscuits. And someone said, were the biscuits? Oh, so the biscuits decent? And the OPE said they were pretty stale, in my opinion. So they weren't good biscuits. Oh, so they ate it? That's a- Yeah, so they were like, hey, based on the, based on the, based on the,
Starting point is 00:41:32 based on maybe how it sounded against his car. What was the wife doing? Don't, don't, don't throw the, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't. tho, don't. tho, don't. tho, don't. tho, don't. tho, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't....... the..... the. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the throw, throw, throw, throw, the thoooooooooooo, the the. thoooooooooooo, now you're down an Arnold Palmer. Now you're down in Arnold Palmer. It's not worth it. Once again, similar to the presentation at the beginning, like you, you now, you now, you now, you now lost something. You lost something and how are you going to wash down that $150 hot dog? No, yeah. Like that's,'s not worth it. It's never worth it. No, that person just reacted.
Starting point is 00:42:05 Maybe they were having a bad day. They were having a bad day. That's true. Yeah, like biscuits aren't doing much damage to a car, to a Camaro. I mean a Camaro's a nice car. So I probably hate that. Sorry. I'm like, okay, you drive a fast car. Cool. I drive a fast car. But this is like, I thi I the b, I the b, I the b, I the b, I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. But this is like, I think the point, like, the biscuits hitting the outside of his car, and then he throws a drink into this guy's car. Work truck. Is it is an escalation. They probably fucked with the car, but honestly, don't throw the biscuits. Don't throw the biscuits, hey,, get a life. Don't throw your lemonade, half lemonade, half ice tea.
Starting point is 00:42:46 And as someone's work trucks. That's Olivia's quote. Hey dude, get a life. Like just move on, you know, sorry, there's some biscuits being thrown at you. It could be a lot worse. They're not, they're not rocks or blaze. I agree.
Starting point is 00:43:01 I agree. I agree. You know, or blood. Yeah, don't throw blood. All right, let's move on. Also, fast cars are really loud sometimes. And they're obnoxious. And they hurt my poor baby ears. Okay, here's the next story. It's just titled Confession. So from Petty Revenge. I work InstaCart. For those who don't know, it's an app to shop and deliver groceries and various other items through an app. Someone on the Instacart page told me to post here. On Christmas, I worked. I got an order at Rite Aid for some kind of 24 pack of beer I've never heard of. I delivered to this dude in less than five minutes. He comes out and talks to me and says, he has no one to spend Christmas with. I. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their, their, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to told. told. told. told. told. I don't ask questions, obviously. I say, I'm sorry, enjoy your beer, scanned his ID, and left. I was thinking about him for a few hours. I was feeling so bad for people who don't have friends or family to celebrate
Starting point is 00:43:52 holidays with. I checked my ratings every morning. The next day he reported the beer as damaged. What in the actual fuck? First of all, if it's damaged, why did you take it? Second, I worked on Christmas, you shady asshole. How dare you do that? No wonder you're alone. Couple days ago, I was in the same area, and order pops up, same dude, same beer, same address. I had accept. I arrive at the store, start batch. I then send him a message saying, I'm sorry but the last case of beer is damaged. I'm refunding your order. Called Instacart and cancelled. Watch what
Starting point is 00:44:26 you lie about. This is minor, but fuck that. You're not messing with my livelihood for a case of beer, you fool. I got you this time, boo. The repercussions of this are huge because the guy reporting it as damaged affects this shopper's like ability to work. Like he could get fired from Instaart or maybe not get as many orders. I know it can it can impact it tha. It th. It can impact it th. It can impact it the th. It can impact it can impact it can impact it can impact it can the the th. It can the th. It can th. I know it can have it can impact him and his ability to do his job and that's super unfair especially when it's like it's a case of beer like and it's a lie it's a lie it's obviously a lie but also like I'm trying to think of how damaged a 24 pack of beer can be where it's like oh it's fucking ruined like, I've bought 24 packs of beer that I look and I'm like,
Starting point is 00:45:08 oh, this corner's all messed up, whatever. Who care? Who cares? I'm like, it's a 24 pack. This guy's alone. Like, maybe you shouldn't have 24 of them, yeah. That's really sad.
Starting point is 00:45:19 That's really sad. I was hoping that this story was going to be like a miracle on 31st Street story. Like it was just, I don't know what's wrong with me. They did be together. None of these movies match the thing. Okay, I was hoping that he was going to drive around and think about him and be like, you know what, I'm going to spend right, this is this might this might be an explanation for why this guy is alone. We don't know anything about this guy. So here's some comments. I had someone once claimed that they didn't get a 183 dollar bottle
Starting point is 00:45:54 of champagne that they signed for. P. P. P. And he. A. P. responded. Uh, petty and inconvenient. Now he'll have to actually interact with people to get his beer. So the OPE responded, he wasn't about to interact with me or I would have told him off. So I did that instead of risk my job. Smart. Yeah. Someone else said, wow. So he ordered Instacart to trick someone into spending Christmas with him.
Starting point is 00:46:18 So sad. They responded. Someone else responded. No, he ordered it through InstaCart so to, so to, to, to, to, to, to, the insa, the insa, the insa, the to in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in insta cart, the the the the the the the their, their, the the the their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the theirc, theirc-c-c-c-s.a, tiea, tip.a, tipe, tipe, tipe, tria, their, their, their, toa, theirc it through Instacart so that he could lie to Instacart and tell them the case was damaged so that he could drink free beer. He had no intention of asking OPE to spend Christmas with him. He literally just wanted to scam a free case. Had he gone to the store, he would have had to actually return the beer to get his money back. And the O.P. said exactly on point. Wow, that's so... Here's another thing is like, I do think that a lot of people spend Christmas alone
Starting point is 00:46:48 and some people enjoy it. Like, not a lot of people, but I do think that some people enjoy spending holidays alone. It's like, it's like when you go eat alone, everyone's like, oh God, that poor lady. And it's like, some people enjoy it but maybe not this guy. Yeah I mean to be honest I mean people hurt people that's another quote from you based on the like it based on the information here this guy is alone but he just got a 24 pack of beer that he's trying not to pay for which means he probably tries to do this a lot and I don't't know, there's a lot. He tried to get a free Christmas gift. Yeah. Yeah, it's very sad.
Starting point is 00:47:26 You were a server. Did you ever deal with people trying to swindle you? Oh, all the time. Especially when you tell them that they're cut off. They're like, no. doing the, oh every bar has the power to cut people off, they have to. Wait, what? Yes. I didn't do it because I didn't like doing it because people would get so mean. Wait, what? What?
Starting point is 00:47:53 Oh, I was called bitch many times. We're a fucking bitch. I mean, alcohol does shit to people. Wait, you can cut people off that person? You have to because if that person drives and th and thi and their and their thi. their thi. their their thi. thi. thi. their thi. thi. their, thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I to. to. to. to. to do. to do. to. to. to. to to to to to to to to to to to do to do it to do it to do it to do it. I to do it. I to do it. I to do it. I to do it. I to do it. I to do. I to do. You have to because if that person drives and they kill someone, you are fucked. Really? Like I mean I didn't I didn't know that a restaurant was liable for that. Restaurants are liable 100% and then you I could go to jail. What? If I overserve someone and they got in an accident and killed someone, I can go to jail and the restaurant can be 100% shut down.
Starting point is 00:48:32 So all servers have to take, they have to get a certification and they have to watch all these really bad acted videos out. And then you have questionnaires. This is what I've had to do many, many times. Also, people would finish their entire meal and be like, oh, it was not good. It really was not good. And I'm like, had a joke? No, not as a joke. Oh, I hated this. Oh, I hated this. They're not a dad. No, they're like, it really was bad. It was not good. they're like it really was not bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad. It was bad. It was bad. It was bad. It was bad. It was bad. It was not bad. It was bad. It was not bad. It was not bad. It was not bad. It was not bad. It was not bad. It was not bad. It was not bad. It was not good. It was, it. It was, it. It was. It was. It. It was found a hair in it. I'm like so you ate the hair in the rest of the dish The hair was delicious, but it was still a hair
Starting point is 00:49:09 That will not tolerate it. We saw a rat just so you know Well, there is that big controversy right now. There was rat in a soup last week where? Where? Where was it good? Where? No? Anyway, okay? Yes, so, okay, yesterday I had sushi and I ordered two things that were totally bad and I just didn't say anything and I just didn't eat it. See if I was your server I would have like, did you not like it? And then I'm like, let me take it off, can I get you something else? So I have a weird thing that I do? Because, but I also have grave mouth so I'll eat ths s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s th. th. th. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. So I have a weird thing that I do because but I also have grave mouth so I'll eat anything but if I if I if I order something and they bring me the wrong order I go well maybe maybe I'll like this. Yeah like I I don't try new things too often at restaurants so like if they bring me if I order chicken tendies which is what I al the the things and they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they to to to the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to the the the the the the the the they're on the menu. And then they bring me like the fish. So you're a baby. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:06 And they bring me like fish or something. I'm like, maybe I'll like this. I always, I often find something I really like. I hate, that's cute. I hate complaining. Like, I do too. So it's like, if I thi, if I order like, if I order, like, if I order, like, like, like, thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th.. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. thi. th. thi. thi. thi. th've worked in the industry for so long that I'm like, if I don't like it, I'm doing them a disservice. I'll be like, I really don't like this. I'm so sorry. They'll be like, oh, all good. Yeah. It doesn't totally fuck them over. Yeah. Because I hate the people that are like don't like, the tha tha tha thoan don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho th like don't like don't like don't like don't like don't like th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the th. th. th. th. th. the. Starting point is 00:50:49 I don't know why I'm like fighting for restaurants right now. That fucks them over more. It does. It fucks them over more. And people in the restaurant industry, like, yes, it's annoying to have someone complain about their food, but also like, it's not the biggest deal. they they they they they they they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's the biggest deal they want you to be happy. I think a connecting thing that I'm seeing so far is like, you can get your revenge, you can go for it,
Starting point is 00:51:08 but please communicate something first. Like ask, like say, hey, you're doing this and I don't like that. Obviously when someone's throwing biscuits at your car on the freeway, there's not much chance to communicate. But in so many of these stories stories stories stories stories stories stories stories stories stories stories stories stories stories stories stories stories say, hey, you're crossing a boundary, or hey, I don't like the service here. Don't assume that they know. And then if you get a, mm, then you can go for your revenge. Yeah, because you might send back a dish and the server's like, okay.
Starting point is 00:51:32 And you're like, okay. And you're like, yeah, you didn't eat this, like, is a, did you not like it? And those are great situations, because I'm like, oh, they like notice and they're like, can I do something else? And that's really good service. Of course. Clark's to dinner does not, they're really sweet. All right, let's move on to a wonderful woman. She's smart, funny, and very kind. Her mother is generally very nice and tends to have a great attitude and be very enjoyable.
Starting point is 00:52:08 A bit of a prude, but generally enjoyable. Her mother? Her mother's a bit of a prude, but generally enjoyable. However, it can be a bit of a major snoop. If my wife leaves her phone sitting around, she will just pick it up and start going through it. My wife has kind of laughed this off as a remnant of her mom being controlling when she was a kid. I'm not a fan of this because my wife and I will sometimes text about things that simply don't involve her mother and I don't feel her business at all. So over Christmas I saw my wife set her phone down on the kitchen counter and I had a brilliant idea. Her mom was still in the kitchen and I sent my wife the most sexually depraved. the t t t t to to to to to to to to to to to to to me to me. to me. to me. to me. to me. to me. I to me. I to me. I th. Starting point is 00:52:45 left. Honestly, most of them are things we haven't even done, but I had to make it an extra scarring. I sent this text from the bathroom, and maybe it was my imagination, but I could swear I could hear an audible gasp shortly after her phone went off. When I went out, her the mother absolutely would not look me in the the the toe. toe. the tho, I th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the. the. the. the. the. I the. I the. When my wife came back into the living room, I thought she had been crying. However, upon closer inspection, she was laughing. Her mother had questioned her about me sexually abusing her, and if I always talked down to her like that.
Starting point is 00:53:17 My wife had told her kindly that what we do is between is between is between is between is between is between is between is between is between is between is between is between is between is between is between is between is between is between is between is between between us and us only. Probably the best gift this Christmas. That is brilliant. That's brilliant. That is, her mother needs to get out of her. I know. Don't be snooping. What? That's some, that's some crazy shit. I really don't like that. Also change your lock code. Yeah, like, have a new lock code. Maybe it's like a Nokia footnote. That's really funny. Wait, that's I want to know what he said in the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the te. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Wait, that's I want to know what he wrote. He never said what he said in the text, but there's some comments. I love that she didn't deny doing those things. Just told her mother it was none of her business what you two did.
Starting point is 00:53:53 Thus preserving the mental scarring. We went out and grabbed a drink and I left my phone on the table because I didn't give a shit and thought, it's my mom, nah. But she had moved it and my text were open when I came back, but I quit out the apps immediately when done with them. She admitted to it and said she was just tipsy and curious, but man, shit feels violating thi. Never snooped on anyone before and definitely won't knowing how it feels. Yeah, I would feel so awkward looking through someone's phone. Yeah. Because like, for one, it's wrong. But also, then, like, to know things like that you can't, I'm just like, I don't want to know shit. You're a specific type of person to do that. Yeah. But a lot of parents really feel entitled to every aspect of their child's lives,
Starting point is 00:54:48 even once they're adults, and it's mind-blowing. It's honestly very traumatic for the child to experience that invasion of privacy. The fact that the daughter blows it off, like it's just, she got so used to just to thein. That's terrible. I know, like, tha tha thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho, that's, that, tho, tho, tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. their. their. their. Like, I hardly ever take photos though, so I don't have any photos. Like, I really, the only photos I take are truly like, if you see stuff on Instagram, those are like the only photos. Oh, I th. and if I have an idea like in the car like a character voice I have a lot of videos and the videos are like from here up and they're the Nastyesties videos you've ever seen but it's me like practicing out of voice nice and sometimes I have to go through them and be like? You know, like just because you're fine with people looking through your phone, doesn't mean you have the right to look through other people. I don't even like to over explain what I'm doing, which is probably bad, but like they're like where I'm like why am I telling you? I don't even tell you. I don't even like people knowing where I go between 2 and 3 a.m. every night. Where? Where do you go? Where are you going? Where are you
Starting point is 00:57:19 going? Where are you going? Where are you going? Whereto know what I'm working on in there. What's he doing in there? Okay, here's the next one. This is malicious compliance again. Business class upgrade, if there is room, quotes. I used to work at a regional airline. The jet we used for our flight to the big city had six business class seats. The business class service was really good for a two-hour flight. It included a full bar service, a hot meal, warmed, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, toe, toe, toe, toe, toe, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their their their, their theirk, their, theirc. theirc. their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their full bar service, a hot meal, warmed bread basket, followed by a trolley with dessert and signature coffee, the good old days. One of our regular travelers was a local business owner who was just a slimy businessman. We're going to call him S.B. S.S.B. Slimy businessman. He had a reputation for making a lot of money from some pretty shady deals over the years. We would roll our eyes when we saw him coming to the check-in counter because he would always name drop and ask for special treatment.
Starting point is 00:58:07 He always used the business class check-in line even though he was usually an economy. He didn't have frequent flyer status, but he was buddies with one of the airline executives and always let us know this fact when he checked in that he was good friends with Vice President Karen. He would always ask for free upgrades, extra baggage, not charging a change fee, last minute discounts, etc. If he didn't get what he wanted, he immediately called VP Karen, who would usually then call us and approve whatever it was he wanted.
Starting point is 00:58:35 So one day, slimy businessman checks in for his flight to the big city, and of course name drops and asked for a free upgrade to business class because I'm friends with VP Karen and they, and they and they and they, and they, and they, and they, and they, and they, and the, and th, and th, and th, and th, and th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thri, thri, thri..eei..ei.ei. thri. thri. thri. thi, th am friends with VP Karen and they said it would be okay. He was traveling on a discounted ticket that was not eligible for upgrade for upgrade, which he didn't. I informed him that he was not eligible for any upgrade on this ticket and gave him his boarding pass and sent him on his way. Of course he flips open his cell phone and immediately calls VP Karen. Within two minutes, the phone at the check-in desk rings, and it's VP Karen authorizing me to override the policy
Starting point is 00:59:07 to upgrade Slimy Businessman to Business Class with no upgrade coupon required if there is room. The flight that day wasn't that busy, and only one person booked in business class, leaving five open seats. I was really irritated, but I begrudgingly put aimy businessman on the upgrade list anyway. He returned to the check-in counter and picked up his standby boarding card and gave me that smug, told you so look. But then what VP Karen said clicked with me, if there is room.
Starting point is 00:59:35 The next passenger I checked in was a super nice lady. Big smile, friendly, please and thank you. Oh, thank you so much for checking my bags to my connecting flight. That's so nice of you. I was taking my time and we were chatting a bit since it wasn't that busy. She was a teacher going on a trip to see her family and it was her first visit with them in over a year and was going to meet her new little nephew for the first time. She was overjoyed just to have today to receive a free upgrade to business class. She was shocked. I've never flown business class in my life.
Starting point is 01:00:10 This is so amazing. At that time, we were rarely questioned if we upgraded someone without a certificate. Over the next 20 minutes, I found excuses to upgrade four other passengers, one who worked for one of our top corporate accounts, one who was legitimately a frequent, to, to, to, to, to, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, to, to, and, and, toe, and, the, the, and, and, and, and, and, the, and, the, and, the the, and, the, the, the, the, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I, I was, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, they.e, they.e, they.e, toe.e.e.s.e.e.e. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. they. toe remember the other reasons, but by the time I went to board the flight, I had to tell Slemy Businessman that I was sorry but business class was full and couldn't offer an upgrade today. The teacher I upgraded profusely thank me again when she boarded with the rest of the business class passengers. Little did she know that it really made my day also. There's an edit here. Thank you all for the votes and awards. I'm a long-time lurker, but first-time poster. There were no repercussions to my actions.
Starting point is 01:00:50 We rarely upgraded passengers randomly, so it wasn't something that caught management's attention. And they mostly trusted our judgment on these things. But like many customer service jobs, I'm sure. If you were nice to us, we would would would would weck, we would th, we would th, we would th, we would th, we would th, we would th, we would tho, we would tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the tho, the the the tho, tho, the the tho, the the tho, the the the the tho, the tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thr-a, thr-a, throoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. If you were not nice to us we would apply the rules very strictly. Our boss did watch baggage like a hawk though. If you printed more bag tags than the passengers are allowance without collecting the excess fee, it showed on your daily report and you would be asked about it at the start of your next shift. That's awesome. Wow. That was a novel. That's cute. Starting point is 01:01:29 tells people about the nice person who upgraded her to business class and how she had such wonderful experience. Someone else said, shame you guys didn't have an ethics hotline, and SVP, having frontline employees going against policy for their friends should not be taken lightly. This is kind of thing people get a warning over and then fired on a second offense. Okay. Why am I saying like I know? I'm like, yeah, I've worked on it again. Yeah, I know about that. I know about that.

Because his seat was given to

Yeah, that was very sweet. I once was on a flight to San Francisco for my birthday and on the way back H, my fiancee just, asked the lady very nicely. He was like, hey, it's her birthday, like, I know that there's not a lot of people in first class, if there's any way that we could, but no worries if not.
Starting point is 01:03:12 And the woman was so taken back by the kindness of that he asked. She was like, get up here. Get up here. to get up here. Get up here. Get the fuck up here. And she threw our whole bodies and we slammed into the doors. So we sat down and then she gave us champagne over and over. She was like, do you want to eat more champagne? And I was like, first class is the shit.
Starting point is 01:03:39 My dad worked at an airline for a long time. And I never have understood people being mean to workers at airlines, because I'm like, for one, I'm like, what's going to happen? Like, is being a dick going to get you on the flight? No. It's going to get you kicked out. You're going to, you're making things worse. People are just crazy. Yeah, like. Why do people think that they can treat flight attendants so, so shitty?
Starting point is 01:04:07 It's like, they're trying to do their job. This is the turf. This was the gate agent, which people are really shitty to gate agents. Oh, they're so mean. Really shitty. I don't get it. Like, just. down. Your group number's five. They're calling group number one. Sit. I hate that. When they're standing right there with their bag, I'm like, are you group number one? I do it very aggressively?
Starting point is 01:04:29 And they're like, five. I'm like, oh, that's so interesting that you're standing up right here blocking the way for group number one. That's right. Yeah. My fiance is like you're so intense. I'm like, you're so intense. I'm th. All right, let's move on to help you? No problem. One will clock in soon. Malicious compliance. This happened
Starting point is 01:05:06 16 years ago. When I was about 20 years old, I was a department manager in a big box hardware store. People said I acted 25, but I didn't even look 18. As a young female, I saw my fair share of sexual discrimination, but the worst always came from women. This is the story of one such woman. I managed the paint department. I had three associates who worked for me. They loved me as a boss because I bought them a department radio, took the shifts they didn't want, worked Friday close and Saturday mid so my two younger guys could have time to have fun on Friday nights and the older gentleman took early Saturday morning so they could sleep off their fun. In trade I gave the older gentleman their fun. In trade I gave the older gentleman his ideal schedule. My team
Starting point is 01:05:45 was awesome. One day I was in the department alone and a lady came up and asked me where she could find the five-gallon oil-based primer. I let her know that my location didn't carry the five-gallon size of that primer. She told me that we did and said that it was shelved right there while suggesting I was too stupid to remember. Her husband gave me an apologetic look. I let her know that another location had what she was looking for and that it was in fact in the exact location in that store. She let me know how stupid she thought I was for thinking she could mix up stores. Then she began yelling and loudly insisting that I get a man out there
Starting point is 01:06:19 then she began yelling and loudly insist that I get a man out there to help her because she wanted someone competent and not a stupid little girl. Her husband actually tried to step in at that point, but I just smiled and let her know that a male paint associate would be clocking in any minute and that I would be happy to direct him to her as soon as he is on the clock. I smiled and waited for Joe to clock in. Joe is great, and I knew he could handle this, or I wouldn't have put him in this situation. But Joe was also new. He was learning things super quick, but still relied on the rest of us for help. When I saw Joe walking up,
Starting point is 01:06:56 I quickly said that there was a customer who needed help. I let him know that she was upset and asked that she to to to to to to the the their their to do their their her questions. Joe walked up to the lady. She said, finally, a man. She asked her question, explained where the product should be, and waited. Joe calmly let her know that he had never seen us carry five gallon size of oil-based primer, but said he could check with the paint department manager. She was happy and loudly said she was happy to be getting some real help. Joe walked up to me and to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th. th. th. the, the the, tho, tho, the, the, th. the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th, th......... Joe walked up to me and started to ask me about the five gallon oil-based primers.
Starting point is 01:07:27 The lady quickly walked up and asked him what he was doing. He turned and said, this is my manager, she runs this department. The husband laughed out loud. The woman stormed off and I bought Joe lunch. And I bought Joe lunch. And I bought Joe lunch. And I bought Joe lunch. And I that I Yeah. She's writing a wholesome novel right now. Yeah. And I bought Joe lunch and we all live together in one home. And I married Joe. And I married Joe. That woman is a bitch. So annoying. Get over it. Go go to the other store and get that five gallon of oil primer. Yeah. And also the husband. Oh. Yeah. I can't believe he's tolerating that. Yeah. I can't believe he he's. Get. Get. Get. Get. Get. Get. Get. Get. I. Get. Get. I. Get. Get. I. Get. I. I. Get. Get. I. Get. Get. Get. Get. Get. Get. the the the the the the the the the th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And also the husband, whooo, he is whipped. I can't, yeah, I can't believe he's tolerating that. Like, yeah, I'd be like.
Starting point is 01:08:10 That's so embarrassing. That is so unbelievably embarrassing. See, but I thought that she did what the windshield wiper guy should have done. Like, sure, I'll get you help. And then, the woman just thwhi woom woom wo the woman, I the woman, I the woman, I the wo the wo the wo the wo the wo the wo the wo the wo, I the wo, I the wo, I the wo, I th. I th. I th. I th. Yeah, I the end she actually was the hero in that story. Yeah. And so was Joe and he got lunch. I mean the woman just stormed off. The woman just left. She refused to be served by a woman. Uh, comments. I had a really similar experience. I worked in a large appliance store and an older woman came in to buy a washing machine. I was in my early 20s and looked very young to the toy. A th. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, th, th, I, I, I, thi, I, thi, I was thi, I was th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, th. th. the the th. the the the th, th, the th, th, th, th, th, th, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th th th thr-ed, I'm thr-a, I'm thr-s, I'm thr-s, thr-s, thr to her and she stated she would like a man to help her please.
Starting point is 01:08:45 I said okay and went to get one of my male colleagues. I told him she had requested a man. The whole way through the sale, when she asked a question, he'd say, hang on, let me just check with the expert and come and chat with me for a moment. He knew very well what the answer was the answer was was was was was the answer was the answer was the answer was the answer was the answer me, but he was a golden soul. Someone else said, same thing always happened to me, this is a woman, working in the sporting goods department of a certain blue big store chain. My male coworkers recognized it and always had a fun time with it.
Starting point is 01:09:14 When they asked me to get a man to help them with a gun, my co-workers always made a point before responding to the customer even though they knew the answer to the question. I had some awesome co-workers that had my back and another person responded, I loved it when I was working and people refused my help because I'm a woman. I worked at GameStop. Oh no surprise, your customers were like, anytime they demand my store manager I would go get her with glee. She was a 50-plus-year-old woman who didn't even really play games, which meant that not only did they have to deal with a different woman, they were losing my 20-plus years of gaming experience.
Starting point is 01:09:51 That's awesome. Wow. I can't fathom asking a worker for a different worker. Like I would never be at a story and be like, could you get someone else? But it happens. I would never do that. All the time. And here's the thing is like,
Starting point is 01:10:09 I don't think that that older woman who wanted a man is 100% in fault. I think that she grew up back in the day where women were never asked help. So she's just like trained and conditioned to see that and she's conditioned to believe, but men know better. Right. Yeah. And so in a way, it's more of like a society fault. But I think it's like, I think educating these older generations of like, hey, it's okay.
Starting point is 01:10:38 It's okay. It's okay. Women can have to be like, what? They can? No! And it's like just take off the black mirror fucking like whatever those are called like glasses and be like it's okay. You are allowed to like move past. So I just like I don't necessarily see them as like the worst people in the world but it's very hard. It is mainly women. I am empathetic to the woman who can't find the paint to be honest. It is a pain when you're you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you're the the the the the the their you're their you're in you're in you're in you're in you're in their. It's their. It's their their their their their their their their th. It's th. It's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, it's their their their their their their their their their their their their their they their their they're they're they're they're they're their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's the. It's they're likeetic to the woman who can't find the paint to be honest it is a pain when you're in the story you think that there is something in
Starting point is 01:11:11 stock and you realize it's not there and a man will help. You pointed this out earlier of like with the windshield wiper neighbor where it's like once you've already gone so hard of like I need a I need a man like you've gone so that now that now you realize you were wrong and you have to you either have to humble yourself yeah hard in that moment or as she did you just have to run away and most people do they go so hard in their decision I think it it's really spiritually awoken when you can in the moment like be like, I was wrong. And there's this amazing Buddhist Pema Chodran, she's fucking awesome. She calls it your Shepna. You know that place where
Starting point is 01:11:55 someone's talking to you and you see that you put, like hit a button and they're like immediately angry. We all have it. And it's called the Shepna and a lot of people do this like whole song and dance to avoid like their sheph-a.... I I their their their, I their, I their, I their, I their, I their, I their, I their, I their, I their, I was their, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I th. I th. I th. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, th. I'm, like, their, their, their, their, their, And it's called the Shepna. And a lot of people do this whole song and dance to avoid their Shepnah to be like, that's not it, I'm fine. Interesting. But instead, if they just sit in it, be like, wow, that really fucking hurt. And then they start to admit, like, I am hurt by that. But I'm gonna try to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, like, thi, thi, they, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, thi... thoooooomoomoomorrow, toe.oomorrow, toe.oomorrow, toe.oomorrow, thoooomorrow, their, their, their, their, but I'm going to try to talk my way through that. It's so hard to do. All of us.
Starting point is 01:12:27 What I've learned in life is that there's a lot of times where the wisest and most beneficial for your own self, the thing to do is to take the L. Like, taking the L sometimes is the best thing you can do. It's so hard. hard, but there's a lot of times where, and it's tough where it's in the moment, and you're like, oh my god, I just took the most massive L of my life. But I have to, if you don't own it, it's going to make you, that L is going to grow. It's going to keep capitalizing more and more. Take that L. And sometimes it's explain to me very well what I needed for my car. And then I got a bill and I was like, wait, what?
Starting point is 01:13:11 Oh no. And they're like, no, this week explained this to you. And I was like, are you sure? But it's also like, I'm not a mechanic. I was like, all right, I'll just pay, I'll just pay. And then the the the the th, all th, all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all all, I the the the the the the the to, I'll to, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'll just, I'll just, I'll to, I'm, I'm, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. th th th the the the the tha. the the thi. thi. th. head I had to play mental gymnastics with myself like is this worth it to to be like you know defending yourself or is it like hey I got to move on with my life? Well sometimes it's really it's really vulnerable to go I don't know what you're saying to me yeah the store employee literally I've had a say I don't know what's
Starting point is 01:13:41 going on I don't know why the watch isn't working and I need and it's not your fault th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the th th th th th th th th th th. th. th. I don't know why the watch isn't working and I need help. And it's not your fault, it's me. I'm the stupid one. I don't know. No, we're not stupid. This is intense technology. OK? The last thing I'll say is, my, a bad trade of mine is that a trade a store and I am desperately looking for something, I am so, I have such an
Starting point is 01:14:07 instinctual fear of inconveniencing people that a worker will be like, hey, do you need help, find anything? I'm like, no, no, I'm like, no, I'm like, no, I'm like, no, I'm like, no, I'm like, no, I'm just looking for anything. But I'm just, I'm just, I'm just like, thi, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm, th.. th. th. I, like, no, no, no, I'm not looking for anything. Sit and watch you behind their sister. And then I'm just there, just like, they're like, that man needs help. Well, I'm not gonna ask him again, okay? Do you guys have a favorite revenge that was given today? I think the windshield wiper one is gonna hurt me for a while? I actually love the dorm room one, the n n n n n n n nip, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, room one, the Nips, free room. Yeah, that was solid.
Starting point is 01:14:45 That was good. That was solid that was deserved. And I like the flight one. Flight one was great. A lot of people benefited from that. That was very wholesome, in a way. These were all great. What about you?
Starting point is 01:14:57 Man, I don't know. I think a part of me is going to hope that if road rage happens to me, that they give me free biscuits. Oh yeah, yeah. I'm, because I love biscuits, but I would hope they're not too stale. I would request fries. I would definitely. Oh, fries would be great. Oh, I'd want the whole pot-fies combo.
