Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, everybody. This week, I'm going to be in New Mexico at Cusadas, Friday and Saturday. Two shows Friday, two shows Saturday. Tickets still available. Dan Soder.com. It's at a casino. I know I've been saying Albuquerque. It's the Albuquerque area. But come check out the shows doing four there. And then November 5th through November 7th. I'm going to be at Wise Guys in Salt Lake City. We're adding a show to the Thursday night late show, but I'll be there November 5th through November 7th. And then December 5th, 10th through December 12th. I'm going to be a comedy at the Carlson in Rochester, New York. It's been a while since I've been there, one of my favorite clubs doing five shows there. December 10th through December 12th, Dan Soder.com for all the tickets. I appreciate you guys coming up to the show, building this new hour. We're getting there. You know, it's not there, but it's getting there. And I've been having a ton of fun. All these shows have been so much fun. So I appreciate you guys coming out. Dan Soder.com for those remaining shows with tickets available, and I'll see you on the road.
Starting point is 00:01:02 We're podcasting right now. Bits and Pieces on YouTube right now. The links down below. Click it. He's hilarious. We've worked together a bunch. I've known you for years. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:13 Wrestling fans. Big wrestling fans. We've gone to a few. We've gone to a few. I've seen you at a few. Yeah. That's a fun thing for wrestling fans is the bumping into at an event. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Well, usually it's so funny because I'll be there. And then I'll just see. I'm like, oh, Dan's down there. Like I can see you. With either Chase, Sal. Yeah. I always use. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:32 If you see me, look for a more famous friend to my left or right. But I know you're there. Shout out road warriors. I know you're there for like the pure love of it. It's not like a PR like, oh, I got these tickets because. Hey, don't forget to check out the new episode of Billions. Yeah. No, it was, dude, I want to go watch.
Starting point is 00:01:50 When they, they're in season seven of billions, Triple H does a cameo. Brother. Yeah. And they were like, he's going to be on set. I wasn't in the scene. he's like in the ring with giamati and you know it's an analogy for crime i'm sure but they were like do you want to come to set and meet triple h yeah and i was like absa fucking lutely and i it was during covid still it was like shit was open but you had to get tested to get on set right yeah
Starting point is 00:02:23 so i went and got to get the brain tickle yeah they went and fucking made me forget seventh grade yeah Remember when somebody does like a real COVID test? Because there were people that would just be like, oh, here's a little swap. And then there are other people like, fucking bear down. Yeah. It's like when you find out,
Starting point is 00:02:37 it's like when you think about women that had to have sex before lube. Because it was like the people, first COVID test, I'm talking about, I want to say June of 2020 to like December of 2020. Motherfuckers were just jamming it up your whole nose.
Starting point is 00:02:53 And you're going like, yeah. At a CVS, be like, yeah, I just have a cough. I just want to make sure. am I dying. Makes you empathetic for those women in porn.
Starting point is 00:03:02 I know, for real. I mean, I bet the porn industry was like, yeah, test us. We're fine. To be anti-COVID and a porn star, we're like, don't put that near me. Now, fuck my butt. Fuck my butt wrong. All of it. All of it.
Starting point is 00:03:17 But I remember getting tested and then going to C, Triple H, and then the Billions crew fucked up because they left me alone with them. And you don't leave a wrestling nerd alone. with the head of DX. You went full. I went full wrestling, you know what it was is I tried to be cool
Starting point is 00:03:37 and then it unfurled. Yeah, because you're a cool wrestling fan. You've got your shit together. Right, yeah. You have a woman in your life. That's right. You are a funny comic.
Starting point is 00:03:48 You're successful. But you're still a wrestling nerd. Yeah, still a wrestling nerd. Still a wrestling nerd. Still enjoy it. And then also it's interesting, because I'm sure you've had to do it multiple times where it's like
Starting point is 00:03:57 when you get a woman in your life, you're like, hey, it's like divulging herpes. It's, I would put it up there. I would put it up there with either herpes or, uh, telling them that you're, uh, cross-dresser. Yeah. Where you go late at night, I put on silky, silky panties and I parade around the apartment. And I cut a promo in the mirror. Beautiful girl.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Are you cool with this? Yeah. And by the way, I'm a good guy. Yeah. Everything else is fine. Everything else top knowledge. But on Mondays and Fridays. and a lot of Saturdays now.
Starting point is 00:04:30 And some Sunday, some special events. You will have to go to a couple drag brunches where I will read to children. But yeah, there is that like with your girlfriend, how fast did you tell her you're a wrestling fan? I'll tell people on like first, second date. You have to. Yeah, I just get out of the way, but she's mad cool.
Starting point is 00:04:48 She was just like, oh, yeah, like my brother and I used to watch it a little bit growing up. That's what you need. And I was like, dope. And I was like, would you be done? She's like, yeah, like she's down for anything. My girl, like, flew out to Vegas to meet me for this past one. Right. She went to Mania with you.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Yeah. That's a big event. Both nights. Oh, I go, oh. Right. That's like what touches our heart. That's like a wrestling. There we go. Oh, she fucking loves you.
Starting point is 00:05:13 Yeah. We went to both. Well, Katie went now. Yeah. We went to both nights. We were only supposed to, yo. We went to two nights. We were only supposed to do Sunday.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Okay. And then like, that was, I mean, that was the one to go to. That was the one to go to. That's Brock Oba. and punk lesner i mean punk rains yeah so saturday we're chilling i was like the plan was like because i'm i'm working the cellar vegas and all this stuff so you're so you did the cellar vegas yeah which is at the rio yes you did that weekend brilliant yes then you have a hotel exactly and that's the hardest part of russomani exactly so we were supposed to like just chill that night and just do
Starting point is 00:05:50 the shows or whatever and i was like we were going to watch like the viewing party yeah and then we're getting like brunch at the win and she's like what if tickets are like cheap today which anyone that pays attention right in his turn in his online notes yeah Saturday was the one that it was kind of tank yeah and I was like what if tickets are cheap today so I pull it up and sure enough like 150 bucks for like for WrestleMania for good seats for good seats so here's the thing so we get these seats we go we're like bet let's do it pull up get to the seats it doesn't see it doesn't say obstructive view on the ticket. But it wasn't terrible.
Starting point is 00:06:29 It was like this boom, like this like camera rig kind of right. So we watch about one or two matches. We watched the opening match with Javon and all them like the ladder match or whatever. Right. And then I'm sitting there. I pull up Ticketmaster again. I'm looking at the map.
Starting point is 00:06:42 I see three open tickets on the opposite side of the arena that are facing the entrance. So I go, hey, we're two matches in. Nobody's buying these seats. You want to just look it over there. She's like, all right. I was like, yeah, let's go. And we went, walked around the stadium, got down until the risers.
Starting point is 00:07:00 How did you, they didn't stop you? No. This is why I was going to put you in the other room. No. Because she's always got questions about how TKO does its financing. She's like, I love a deal. They didn't fuck with you at all? At all.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Nope. Just went down on the risers, sat and had a perfect entrance view and watched the whole rest of Saturday. And then Sunday we had the same exact seats, basically. And I had paid like four times as much. four times as much for sunday i paid like you know five or six hundred apiece hold on let me get my dog out of here yeah oh that belongs to two attention seeking war yeah what a fucking surprise but i'm saying with stadiums especially as stadium like russomania the fucking security's crazy so they weren't like show me your tickets no they didn't really get on me about that like because i think like if you
Starting point is 00:07:49 i think it was just the fact that it was two matches in and then by that time so many people have gone in out because you know, WWE, they bake in so many bathroom breaks with their ads. And that's what Saturday, that was the knock on Saturday is someone that was watching it in a green room in Cleveland. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:05 It was like, it's bad. It's bad. It was like all commercials. I think they even did it online where they did like the math and there was only like 52 minutes of wrestling and like 51 minutes of commercials or some shit. It's really bad. I know the numbers are off,
Starting point is 00:08:19 but then when you go, then when you go and watch like a AEW pay review, I ordered double or nothing. I almost went. But it was just one of those days where I was like, AW's on their shit, man. They're killing it right now. First off, MJF is the shit.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Will Osprey's the shit. He's one of my favorites ever. Will Ospre's been a badass since he was. We saw him. New Japan. No, when we went in, at Arthur Ash, oh yeah, remember? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:42 And it was him, who do you fly? I can't remember because Omega and Brian opened. Yeah, which was unbelievable. That was the, was the, was that forbidden door? No, that was. No, it was just, uh, it was just like they were just, a dynamite. Yeah, they were just doing like some.
Starting point is 00:08:54 kind of like special archer-ass one or whatever. And it was great. It's Sam Punk fought Roy's Keys, you know, Powerhouse Hobbs. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:04 It's so funny when you forget wrestlers dead names. Yeah. Yeah. That's like, you know, Royce Keyes. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:09:11 sorry. I miss pro. Yeah. I gave the wrong pronouns. Exactly. The wrong wrestling pronouns. Sorry, brother.
Starting point is 00:09:17 I don't respond to that anymore. But yeah, Osprey in person is one of the fastest human beings I've ever seen in ring. I think one of my favorite matches from the last 10 years is Osprey Omega, uh, Russell Kingdom. If you're,
Starting point is 00:09:31 if you're like getting into wrestling or if you've never seen it, watch Osprey, watch both of them. Yeah. Osprey Omega. So their third one's going to be a banger. They're incredible. Kenny's got like a year left.
Starting point is 00:09:43 Yeah. We're the same age. I don't know how he's doing what he's doing. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, a lot of them. I hurt my foot putting on my jeans. This guy's doing fucking reverse moon salts.
Starting point is 00:09:54 to the outside of the ring. Were you hopping? No, I like pointed my, I think I pulled a tendon because I pointed my toe too much. You did a little too much of a ballerina point. Yeah, exactly. A little pleiae. Yeah, dude.
Starting point is 00:10:04 A pleiae fucked my shit up. And now my fucking foot is hurt for like a week. But, uh, I, that's what I like about AEW is like, it's like the colder side of the pillow. They get to it. And also, it's so much swerf, Strickland's the shit. Incredible.
Starting point is 00:10:22 There's so much good wrestling going on there. AAU has like great superstars and then they have guys that you're like, what? Yeah. But then they have middle of the guys. What's crazy to me is how someone like, you know, they have a Darby Allen. Yes. Who I think is a WWE would get buried. And they have like, they have fun people that go around.
Starting point is 00:10:41 And then what's crazy is you would think Dan Housen would do awesome in AEW. And then he comes to WWE and he's one of the best things about the company now. The biggest seller. And also like for him to be the surprise that they were at least. leading up to and everybody was like and people were mad booing people were mad and now he's the one of the best things but that's the that's so nice so evil yeah that's the fun thing about wrestling like they'll like people will get in on the joke my girl got me a cameo of dan housing for my special that's incredible she like she yeah she literally got him to do a promo just like
Starting point is 00:11:17 hello dan hazen very nice very evil i love dad house watch watch bits and pieces that's incredible that's the best feeling of being a wrestling fan and getting a partner, a girlfriend, a wife or whatever, is when they get into a gimmick. Because similarly, 2019, when Katie and I started dating, I said, listen, I know we've joked around about it on your show when I've been a guest or whatever, but I'm like a legit wrestling fan.
Starting point is 00:11:45 And I was super into AEW at the time. Because Omega's my guy, through and three. He's like up there in my top three. Yeah. Like in ring work. It's like him, Angle, Sean Michaels. Angles are mine too, dude.
Starting point is 00:11:57 I mean, Kurt Angles is one of the greatest of all time. Slept on though. Yeah, he gets, he gets... Dude, Wrestling Machine,
Starting point is 00:12:03 Kurt Engel, like on his way out of WWE. And I didn't realize, though, he was also in TNA longer than he was. He's more matches in TNA. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:12:12 You could argue better matches. He's got young AJ styles and they're a lot. By the way, if you're not a wrestling fan, skip 30 minutes in. I'm sure we're talking about something else. Kurt Angle is one of those guys where he's so respected by the wrestling world that they dropped the funny nickname.
Starting point is 00:12:28 When online wrestling fans get a funny nickname, they're going to look at what they still do what. Yeah. They still do the what chant. And people are still mad about it. People be like, can we stop with the what chance? Can we stop with the one? Can we stop with the one? No.
Starting point is 00:12:39 But they started calling Kurt Engel. When he went to TNA, he started taking a lot of perkocet. So they started calling him Perk Engel. And then he did an interview with Chris Van Vallais and he was like, that actually kind of hurts my feelings because I was like addicted to drugs and he's so beloved that the online community went let's knock it off with pert angle right wrestling fans never do that ever and they were like nah we can't tell like okay kurt and you watch like the documentary you're like oh he was going through a lot dude he's i would say curt angle is one of the greatest americans of all time he's up there for
Starting point is 00:13:12 sure yeah one a gold medal with a broken neck broken neck that's my favorite thing is when he's eating pasta with the scissors and the milk and And he's like, he just like twirls it and they chops it with the scissors. He's the man. He can do no wrong. I have milk with dinner. Yeah. Bam,
Starting point is 00:13:27 bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, uh, he, um,
Starting point is 00:13:32 but watching wrestling. So when Katie and I started dating like the way your girl got into Dan Hansen, Katie and I started dating and I was like, I really like AEW and we watched like a couple of dynamites and then she was a giant orange, orange, like a giant orange, like not doing it to appease me.
Starting point is 00:13:50 She was like, dude, she would come in with her shirt on and she'd do the thing. I think that's the thing. Like, a lot of times with like women that get into it, like, they'll latch on to the guy that's like, yeah, this may not be the top guy. He may not be the hottest guy. It's like, no, I like the bit. Like, and especially if you're with a comedian. They like bits. They like bits.
Starting point is 00:14:10 Yeah. And you're like, oh, yeah, I like that you like the bit. I don't care how people get into wrestling. It's just such a fun community that I think it's like funny to me when people take it serious. because you go, it's all fake fighting. Yeah. These aren't, if you want to take boxing seriously or MMA seriously, fine. Pro wrestling?
Starting point is 00:14:28 Yeah. You're mad at it. Yeah. You're mad at a fake dead guy for not winning. It's theater. Yeah. It's fight theater, bro. South Park did it the best where they were like acting.
Starting point is 00:14:39 Well, acted. And they just called it that. But I think what's funny about it now is when people, that there's still people that like try to shame. Because I think a good relationship is getting. in finding a way into something that the person you're with loves. Like if Katie watches like a reality show or something, I'll find a way to get it.
Starting point is 00:14:58 Well, my favorite thing is to make fun of it with it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll watch Love Island with my girl. So that's the one. She got me into Traders this year. Traders is great though. Great. Traders is a shit.
Starting point is 00:15:08 And Alan coming coming in like just whimsical. All the time. Each outfit, what do you got, Alan? That's crazy. Every time I watch it, I go there's no rational function for that. He's just dressed like Tint Man from Wizard of All. I'm wearing a beekeeper's. A beekeepers hat.
Starting point is 00:15:25 You will not make it through the night. The trader. Is it a speech impediment or you're rolling your eyes like that on? But I loved it. I thought that last season. And I watched it. Shout out our boy Ron Funches. Also a huge wrestling fan.
Starting point is 00:15:37 Huge wrestling fan. But I watched it because of Ron because I was like, who's he getting bullied by? I'll fucking stand up for Ron. Legit. Ron was getting bullied. But then Ron was standing on business too. He was like, hey, I don't like none of you bitches. I don't know what was being said off camera But Ron was like
Starting point is 00:15:53 Hey, you're talking about me and my family And I don't really like that So I'm gonna have to put you in the ground You forget Ron's from Chicago You might have came up in Portland But you forget that there is a moment where he's like Well the thing is that you're starting to piss me the fuck off Yeah
Starting point is 00:16:09 Get him Ron Because I'm sure Ron's got a little bit like surprise strength You know like We all have it All nerds all comics have nerd rage in a way. But watching traitors, I got into it, and I was like, I like this guy's bit.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Yeah. And I called the dude that won it. I went, handsome guy with the snake tattoos, he's going to walk all over all these people. Talk about pretty privilege. That's what's great. That dude had all the pretty privilege to the whole thing, because people were like, oh, it can't be him.
Starting point is 00:16:37 Like, he's just a sweetheart. Like, he's, I'm just a sweet old boy that just digs for snakes in the water in my overalls. I do nothing to nobody. Got some snakes I can touch. Yeah. He was Pete's character from S&L until he won $2 million or however much he won,
Starting point is 00:16:54 $250,000. He did the Chad thing where he's like, what's up? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Okay. And they just go with it. Traders is a great one.
Starting point is 00:17:02 There should be, we should do all comics traders. It would get too real. It'd get too real. But just think about all the voices in there. It would be fun. It would be very fun to. I ain't ever killed nobody ever.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Yeah, cat. Of course I'm a traitor. I was born to trade. It's pimping, baby. It's pimping, baby, and I hate everybody. They couldn't get the famous. They would only get mid-tier guys. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:24 So they just get like- Because the real beast would come out. If you put Cat, Chappelle, Mike Epps, and Kevin Hart in a room together, and they're all like. Oh, with rock? Yeah. And then all like, you got anybody that shit on Joe Rogan. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:17:38 You know, in there. You could really make a fucking good trainer. It'd be fun. But, I mean, you're like, I do the actuality of it. But if we're just fantasy. booking this. I think you put Rogan on traitors. I think you put Rogan, Chappelle, Cat Williams, Chris Rock, Chelsea Handler, Shane. Shane would be awesome on a traitors. Yeah, because he just he would kind of play like, why don't it be a traitor? That's good. He would play Rob. Yeah, he would play
Starting point is 00:18:05 Rob's character. He'd be like, what? I want to drink beers with my boys. I want to drink beers with Chappelle. And then Nate, Nate coming in and be like, hey man, I don't, why would I be a traitor? I mean, I'm just I'm just here to... Have you ever seen a traitor? Hang out with my friends, man. Damn, that would be great. Who else? So you go...
Starting point is 00:18:24 Chappelle's just smoking a cigarette and everything. Let me tell you something. There's no way that I would be anything but a traitor. I go to the turret every night. I pick who I want to kill. No white man is safe. They go, the turret lasted seven hours. He's just doing a Chappelle set while they're trying to find out
Starting point is 00:18:47 to kill. And that's why I'm telling you right now, we need to take out cat. He's got an alliance. Talking about all the other things. Let me tell you something. Jay-Z is one of the dopest man I've ever been in the presence of it. And then Rogan's like, yeah, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:02 If he was a traitor too, all three of them. Do you think we're really here? Yeah. Or is this? What is a traitor? Yeah. Is Alan even coming around? Jamie, bring up the definition of a traitor.
Starting point is 00:19:14 Jamie, look that up. He's like, I don't know, man. I don't know who I want to kill. But that's the only way it would work is getting the top tier comics to do it. Because middle comics, we're all messy bitches. Yeah. It would be too fucking deluded. You'd be like, I might be able to book a tour off of this.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Yes. That's what I would. You need to have people that are economically comfortable. Yeah. That don't care. The ones in the middle, it's just knives in the back. Because if it's all less in the middle, then the fool me wants tour poster is coming. I think we're pretty close.
Starting point is 00:19:46 I think we, yeah, you're right. That's so funny. Just all, follow me once. It's just traitor, trader themed tour. Absolutely someone would do that. I wonder if we're getting as a society closer to where traitors becomes actual murder.
Starting point is 00:22:34 Like where are we on the running, we're running man is real. I think it's the Republican Senate. I mean, dude, if. I think Lindsey Graham just got up out of there. Somebody was like, One of you murdered Lindsay Graham. I would love that.
Starting point is 00:22:49 He goes, what? Alan Cummys comes in the Senate. And he's like, what the hell is? Alan Cumm was like, one of you murdered my own. Lady,
Starting point is 00:22:57 what was the name? What was the name? What was his name? They called him Lady Dee or something? He was ladybug. He's like, because he was like his little mold. His little ladybugs.
Starting point is 00:23:07 Did you know that? All these gay sex workers came out and they're like, yeah, fuck Lindsey Graham. He calls his moles on his taint and his assholes the ladybug. So they'd call him like Lady D. Imagine saying that to somebody right before you thought. That's my little ladybug.
Starting point is 00:23:24 Honestly. And you're like, make a wish. Honestly, that's what I want out of my southern dandies. Yeah. Because I want him to go, don't you like my little bags? That's like the family guy voice that gay, you know, he's like, I don't know. He's my only means of conveyance. Get your fat ass back here.
Starting point is 00:23:41 I wish I could do the whistle. It's hard. There's a comic that Justin that we had on that can do it like on command. Perfectly. But you're like, strong arm. And you're right. It's not the file.
Starting point is 00:23:53 It's the other guy from the, I can pretend I'm a bug. I'm a spider and the kids are little bugs. But that's Lindsay Graham to me. It's like, this is my little bugs. That's got to be so crazy. You never think about how good at being quiet gay sex workers.
Starting point is 00:24:11 are. Yeah. Or just sex workers in general. The best kept secrets. Because I would be like, Mm-hmm. Do you know who I fucked? No, or when I went in the room with them.
Starting point is 00:24:21 Yeah. Oh, you hate gay people. Yeah. What do you want to do to me? Yeah, for real. You go, you want to butt fuck me? Yeah, like, and they have their like screen name and you're like, you're like, you're Razors Edge 327?
Starting point is 00:24:33 Oh my God. You want some filthy shit. And then he cuts the hand. He goes, my wife and I love each other. We have sex. The amount of good it would do if we could, if there was like a, you know, the truth serum, they always given spy movies. If we could just do that with the most homophobic Republican senators.
Starting point is 00:24:56 Oh, that'd be crazy. Because you know most of them would be like, I've been time to just taste a pecker. Oh, to put a peck on my lips. Oh, oh, like a Georgia, like a Georgia sunset. Like a nice honor palm. Yeah, you know what I mean? They just go like, oh. And then they have to tighten back up and they're like,
Starting point is 00:25:18 I don't want no gays. There's litter boxes in the bed. And then you know if you just went like and hit it with the serum, they go, oh, I want kisses from a little Filipino boy all over my body. Ooh, I tell you what gets me harder than a summer in July. Half of. I'm quench my thirst better than a nice little twink, man. That's what it is.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Half of our problems are caused because all these people, like if you gave that to a lot of guys, like, I want to fuck kids. You go, yo, yo, that's crazy. And they go, I mean, I mean, I want to fuck their education. Fuck their education up. That's why we find out everything's being repealed. Well, if I can't, kids, I want to fuck their future.
Starting point is 00:26:03 Yeah, yeah. So can we just do that? That's where we're at right now. Yeah, for real. Yeah, I think anybody that like, but the people that run the loudest on those like anti, you know, any platforms, they're the ones that are doing it the most. Yes, dude. Every time. Every time.
Starting point is 00:26:19 Anytime somebody's like, oh, trans people shouldn't exist and this and that and abortion, blah, blah, then it always comes out inevitably like five years later. Oh, this person was found with X, Y, Z porn on there. And you're like, mm. It's been that way throughout history. All the time. It's always been that way. And it's funny that humans have this condition that no one can cure, which is like we're, so loud.
Starting point is 00:26:39 When you're insecure and your life sucks, you're loud about the thing, but not in a way that takes accountability. In no way do you go like, yeah, I'm pretty fucking revved up because I, my mom used to step on my dick with her sneakers. And I never went to therapy.
Starting point is 00:26:54 And I never saw that maybe that's why I get sex workers. Man. Because like I was listening to, I love last podcast on the left. I'll always plug the boys. Shout out to Henry, Ed, It's unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:27:08 They do everything. They do serial killers. They do alien abductions. They do anything you would think of. I've heard of it, but I've just never tuned in. It's my video game podcast. Word. So when I'm playing video games, I turn off the volume and I just listen to the last podcast on the left.
Starting point is 00:27:24 But they're doing a... What's really interesting now is now that they have this big machine behind them where they have researchers and stuff. Now they're doing research on like old stuff they did when they're at Creek in the Cave. And everyone was working day jobs. In the creek. Because that's where they started. They started in the same room as Legion of Skanks. Wow.
Starting point is 00:27:43 A lot of people don't realize that. I don't, yeah. Yeah, it's like crazy. But they're doing the Green Valley killer. Gary Ridgewood. He was big. Green River killer. He was so big that he got a graphic novel.
Starting point is 00:27:57 Yeah, he's like, he's one of the most prolific. And I hate using that term with him. I know, right? Because it's fucked up. But Gary Ridgewood was one of the most prolific serial killers. You think other serial killers look at other things. Like, man, he's a hack. He's at the top of his game.
Starting point is 00:28:10 Yeah, he's like, Louie. Yeah. He's like, they're Louis. Yeah. They go, Gary Ridgeway, all new stuff. All new stuff. He goes from choking to like sleeper hold. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:19 Chopin up. Also, he's a real one because he took their lives with his own hands. Right. Yeah. Writes his own bits. Yeah. But yeah. So, but I was listening to the Gary Ridgeway series, which they have out now.
Starting point is 00:28:34 And it's all stuff that his mom. used to like yell at him and then like he would piss the bed a lot so she would scrub his dick and that became like his thing and he's like Gary Ridgway there's a ton of interviews with him he's very open about it
Starting point is 00:28:49 he had the glasses and stuff like a bird he had like if you drew a serial killer yeah he's like I uh well I don't know it's what's always funny about this is these dudes have families it's like yo if you feel if you don't dude if I got killed by a nerd I'd be pissed
Starting point is 00:29:05 Like if I get to heaven and I'm just like and like because you don't know you died and then God's like well here it hears of what he'll fuck you and by the way he is like the way they describe him really funny on last podcast on the left is he's like Milton from office space. Yeah the stapler yeah well I ate a very nice stapler talk about dude I love that guy Stephen root. Oh he's unbelievable the actor have you watched um what's it called the new show um fuck severance no no no no no no no no no know it's on apple it's still on apple but it's um go on by vince gillian apple's got so much stuff that no one knows yeah it's all the yeah it's a horror comedy i don't know why i'm missing on the name because i just watch the whole thing and it's great they're not crazy now our brains delete stuff right when we just yeah because it's like in my mind i want to call it wayward pines and it's not it at all i couldn't think of laundry basket today whoa i kept calling it the hamper and i go that's not the hamper but i go technically it's not the hamper the hamper's where
Starting point is 00:30:03 you put the dirty clothes. The laundry basket is where you hold the clean clothes to fold them. Oh, I feel like that's interchangeable. Okay. So that makes me feel less shitty about this. Yeah, yeah. That's, that was really having a moment.
Starting point is 00:30:13 That feels like, that feels like dick and cock. All right. You know what I said? You know what? Because like, as a black man, I say dick.
Starting point is 00:30:21 Yeah. But I've heard. Oh, white dudes love saying. Yeah. White people love cock. And I'm like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:26 That is funny. It's also funny how black people call poop caca. Do we? Or duty. No, we call it dukey. Dooky. You guys end in a vowel.
Starting point is 00:30:37 Yes. Dooky, doo-doo. That's what I mean. So, yeah, it's all doo-doo, poo, and you're like... Because doodoo is funny. The way black people say it's funny. Yeah. Hey, bro, he do-doos up.
Starting point is 00:30:48 That's it. Hey, bro, you got the dukey booty. Well, that's crap. Yeah, yeah. Well, that's shit. We end it in very hard concerts. Yeah. That's shit.
Starting point is 00:30:58 Yeah. Crap. But the thing about Gary Ridgway, what we were talking about is he got like, almost abused into this point where he was sexually attracted at the thought of hurting women and he became a serial killer but he were like how about we how about we cut that off at the past yeah damn i think mandatory therapy would be i mean yeah we get a lot i feel like i feel like but they'd call it socialism that's all they do they just go that's socialism you go you just getting your emotions out yo sometimes i feel like you know and correct me if i'm wrong but i feel like white
Starting point is 00:31:33 in general would just be in a better place if like y'all weren't just called gay all the time growing up I think yeah uh yeah I like because I feel like y'all aren't allowed to like express happiness as much as like other like cultures and shit like because other cultures like oh dance blah blah blah and then white people I feel like sometimes it'll be like don't do that shit or like oh that's not cool so I think both black people and white people have a weird thing because you know black people up until recently the gay shit was just a no-fly zone. Yeah, for real. Like you couldn't even kind of be gay.
Starting point is 00:32:06 No. White comics learn real quick. Black audiences aren't into gay shit. At all, no. When you go, what am I going to suck his dick? Get the fuck out of here. Yeah, we don't like the gay games. That's the thing.
Starting point is 00:32:18 But I think... Gay games. That's the name of the episode. Don't play gay games with me. 100%. When I learned that in high school, the first time I went to where, you know, I play football and like, you flip dick flip each other.
Starting point is 00:32:30 And then the first time you do that to a black friend and you see the seriousness in their face. And we'd be like, hey, bro, what the fuck was that? And you go, ah? And they go, because white guys go, ha ha, ha. Yeah. Ooh, I'll do it to you. And then black guys go, don't fucking tap my cock.
Starting point is 00:32:43 Yeah. You also have to aim different. Correction, correction. Don't fucking tap my dick. Oh, okay, my dick, yeah. Sorry I hit your cock. I be like, first of all, I ain't got a cock. I got a dick, man.
Starting point is 00:32:56 Don't touch my dick. Yeah. I think white, I think you're right. I think like, for black people, it's the homophobia. It's like accepting that for white dudes. It's accepting emotion and vulnerability. Yes.
Starting point is 00:33:10 It's not the gay that bothers us. It's the vulnerability. But that's what I'm saying. All that gets wrapped up into calling it gay. It's like, oh, you're being vulnerable. Oh, you're like happy. You're smiling. You're dancing.
Starting point is 00:33:21 What the fuck? Unless. What do you take dick? Yeah, unless two teams are on the field. Oh, dude. That's when you can express happiness. But otherwise. Can I tell you the gay shit I ever saw in my life?
Starting point is 00:33:33 as a white dude was I was at hilarities when the Cavs won the championship. Oh shit. That was the gayest I've ever seen. Dudes were just hugging. And by the way, and by gay I mean that was the most emotionally vulnerable open. I've ever seen a crowd of mostly white dudes. Just crying on. Hugging.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Yeah. Yeah. It hasn't. I'm not a Cavs fan. I don't care. I love Cleveland. I love performing there. I have a lot of friends from Cleveland.
Starting point is 00:34:01 I don't give a shit. Watching guys see me. and they go, huh, like, that was their first thing. We did it. We did it. And you're like, and I was like, I had to get through a riot of hugging. Oh, wow. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:34:14 It was nuts. But then, but then, like, part of me, like, when I see that, I'm like, good for you, like, let it out. Like, because think about, like, how amazing New York was this past month with, like, the Knicks and everything. Well, not if you owned a fucking bus or a car on the street. If you had any public property, you were not happy with the Knicks and. You have to take out insurance.
Starting point is 00:34:35 I wonder how much insurance fraud was done. I mean, dude, that's so funny. Over here. Yeah. You got a bad car, Acura. Yeah. Come on my ACA. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:44 He's like, hey, that's a Spurs car. Yeah. You put Spurs stickers on it. Putting like jerseys in the back seat. But I think what to just to further your point, what that was was we finally saw an outlet for a whole city. New York needed that. New York needed that. that fart.
Starting point is 00:35:04 Yeah. They needed to go like, yeah, a 53-year-old fart. Just like, oh, thank you. Because,
Starting point is 00:35:09 you know, it's funny when the calves won the championship, they hadn't won a championship in the city for 50 years. So it was the similar buildup. The cabs didn't have two towers. I know.
Starting point is 00:35:20 You know what I mean? Well, we lost the towers. They had Bernie Cozar. You forget about the drive. Cleveland's had a lot of losses. Sure, terrorists didn't attack a financial episode.
Starting point is 00:35:32 Yeah. Hurricane Sandy. Dude, what Cleveland has gone through is just being Cleveland. Oh, they gave a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Drew Carey show. Yeah. You're like, you guys took Moises Alu from us. It's Warby Parker is the place to be. Listen, if you need glasses,
Starting point is 00:35:51 go to Warby Parker. That's where I used to go to get my glasses. And I'm probably going to go back there to get my glasses because my laser eyes are fading. I got Lasick about 10 years ago. It's my eyes are. are evolving and changing, so I might have to be back to the old Warby Parker. Great part about Warby Parker. You go there, you can get a, I mean, we're talking soup to nuts.
Starting point is 00:36:13 You get your eyes looked at. You can get the prescription that you need. And then you can go pick out the glasses you like the best right there in the front of the house. And then you have them with your prescription. You can also get sunglasses. It's pretty awesome. All you got to do is just check out, they do the eye exams, they do the glasses, contact
Starting point is 00:36:31 sunglasses. But that's what's great. You don't even have to put it together anymore. Also, over 300 retail stores across the United States. So you can pop in, get your glasses fixed. Or maybe you're on vacation and you need an eye exam because you're feeling weird. You can go do it on the road. Best part of Warby Parker, and I truly mean this, for every pair they sell,
Starting point is 00:36:50 they also give a pair to someone in need. Warby Parker has distributed over 20 million pairs of glasses to people in need through buy a pair, give a pair program. And right now, buy one pair of glasses, get 20% off any additional pair at wirebparker.com slash soda. That's 20% off any additional pair when you purchase one at W-A-R-B-Y-Parker. Parker.com slash soda.
Starting point is 00:37:15 Watching a crowd or a city go through that, but what's funny is, and the truth of it is, it's sweet up to a point and then when it gets sour. Yeah. You go. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:29 That wasn't good. For Cleveland, they won the championship. I hung out because I wanted to watch it. I have videos and shit on my phone. I'll send them to you because I have guys like literally jumping on buses and shit. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:37:41 From 2016. And then I went to my hotel room, you know the one they keep that was in Superman. Yeah. The middle of that hotel is the famous. When he flies with Lois Lane, that's the hotel they put you up in Cleveland when you were Claredities.
Starting point is 00:37:54 The wedding hotel. It's a wedding every Friday and Saturday. There will be a wedding there. I went up to my hotel room. got a joint I talked to Nate Bargettze on the phone because he was in San Francisco
Starting point is 00:38:08 and I was in Cleveland and I was like oh did you go I went to game six I got a discount ticket similar to your WrestleMania Day 1 thing wow
Starting point is 00:38:16 and he was going to go to game seven it was so expensive he's like I can't go but I called him to talk about it so we're on the phone for maybe 30 minutes talking about game seven
Starting point is 00:38:26 and the the celebration is happening just hear the rumbles and then i went back downstairs and the energy had absolutely shifted oh dude the energy had absolutely shifted where cars were getting fucking tossed it's like there weren't a lot of that but they were yeah it's like Jurassic park where you see like the pebbles yes that was what i was seeing yeah yeah that's what i was seeing the water like oh what the fuck and it was i experienced Jurassic park during the day with the with the fences up and then when i went downstairs it was the fences
Starting point is 00:38:59 were off and the goat was missing yeah dude And you're like, oh shit. It's out. And the energy was, energy was completely different. That's any, that's any celebration though, like,
Starting point is 00:39:08 especially like in New York, because, you know, you've been here for however long, like any parade, like, think about like the pride parade every year. During the day, it's all families and babies
Starting point is 00:39:18 and, like, parents being like, this is what equality looks like. And then at the end of the night, it's just people twerking on top of buses and like turning it over and just like a bunch of loose nipples. And you're like,
Starting point is 00:39:30 whoa. I, there was a death in the comedy community in New York and there was a funeral on the day, shout out John John, but there was a funeral on the day of the Pride Parade and so I dressed up for a funeral and then had to walk through the Pride Parade. It's the most homophobic anyone's ever looked.
Starting point is 00:39:48 I'm in all black. Please, you have to, that's very funny. And I just like walking through like, oh, I'm saddened by your life choices. And yes, their choices. Yeah. Yeah. It looks like, you're like the man.
Starting point is 00:40:00 that's going to turn the private array monochromatic. Like I'm going to suck the color out of this parade. Buy it. Like I have a pocket Bible. Oh my Bible. You just see rainbows like. Yeah. And in reality, it's just like, no, man, this dude that I really liked died.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Yeah. And I'm bummed out by it. But yeah, it was very funny to walk through. And then you saw the difference when you were coming back home. You're like, yeah. Sun's going down. Yeah. Just like sweaty people rubbing their ass on each other.
Starting point is 00:40:25 You're like, I'm going to get out of here. I got to get the fuck out of here. Yeah, it's like sinners. Dude, it is. It's got. to be to be a gay from the Midwest or to come from a small homophobic town. Yeah. That release.
Starting point is 00:40:41 Yeah. I hope everybody gets a release like that. Some form of release like that. Yeah. It's like what would be, damn, what would be my release like that? WrestleMania. I guess so. That's your pride parade.
Starting point is 00:40:52 Yeah, it is my, that is like my rivalry. And it does get worse as the day as the day goes on. I've gone to five of them now. You have? I went to Atlanta. Atlanta, it was shitty when, what was it, Sina Miz. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:06 That was my first one. Then I went to, I want to say 34, that was the return of Daniel Bryan. Great. After his injury, that was like, you know, that was Shinske and AJ. Oh, yeah. That was a long one. You were going to it when WrestleMania was like nine hours. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:20 The best match of that one was probably, well, Finn and, Finn and Seth, that was a good match. And then also there was a mania? Yeah. I thought that was that's, the SummerSlam was where he got injured. Yes, yes. But they had a mania match. But then also that was the match with AAA and Stephanie versus Kurt and Ronda Rousey back when Rhonda was still liked.
Starting point is 00:41:41 Yeah. And then my next ones, I went to the past like three. So I went to Philly in Vegas, Vegas. Did you notice the difference in the two-day WrestleMania's versus the one day? Like better shows? Two-day. Because for those of you don't know, they split WrestleMania into two days because it was such a long show. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:59 I think the thing is like two-day Sunday is like the best show you're going to get like night two. Yeah. Like once they split it up into two days and you have night two, the energy is just so crazy that like people are just, because usually Saturday like they'll be like a good match. Also, we've grown up programmed to know WrestleMania is on Sunday. Yes. It's not on a Saturday.
Starting point is 00:42:25 Right. You watch WrestleMania on a Sunday. Yeah. It's like the thing you wait for all weekend. You're Friday and Saturday night, and then Sunday you have like people over. You have that energy. And it was like, it starts in the afternoon and carries you to the night. Dude, speaking of that, speaking of having people over.
Starting point is 00:42:41 Yeah. Okay. Do you remember this is one of my like memories of us hanging out for the first time? Yeah. It was WrestleMania in Orlando when the hearties returned. Remember? Yeah. So.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Yeah. You had Evan Williams over. Yeah. And me and Evan's ever, Evan got there. You're man, the Hardee's came out. That's a great Evan Williams. That's a fucking great Evan Williams. It's fucking crazy, man.
Starting point is 00:43:09 Is it because you're from North Carolina too? Can you like tap into it? I just hung out sometimes. I just love it. That's a good effort. Evan Williams is when I tell you him and Mateo are a best friend because they're talent level. Yes.
Starting point is 00:43:21 He's like one of the most talents people. Me and Mateo can both do Evan. Yeah. Mateo does a perfect. He does a perfect Evan. He gets it down to like the jaw. Yeah, he does a perfect Evan. He does a perfect Joe Mackey.
Starting point is 00:43:34 He does a perfect. He's got, yeah, that's a fucking damn good Evan. So, but the thing is, you were like, I forgot that I used to just have people over to watch WrestleMania. Yeah. It was so fun. So you had us over and this is my first time like really hang out with you. So I was like, oh, like, we're going to watch WrestleMania.
Starting point is 00:43:49 I want to make a good impression. I'll bring over some food. So I stop at Whole Foods and I grab like some hummus. and some like, you know, chips and shit. This, you see this fucking reaction right now? That's exactly how you reacted because I brought it in. Like, thinking like, oh, like party food or whatever. Like nice, healthy shit.
Starting point is 00:44:08 And you go, oh, healthy stuff. And I was like, oh, no. And this is like, I didn't know, like, it didn't dawn on me until later when you were like basically doing your HBO hour where you're just like, yeah, I grew up in Denver with like poor white trash people just like, yeah, I mean, it's my sponsor. and I was like, oh, yeah, I should have brought Doritos and funions and shit. Like, I know we're watching wrestling, but still, I was just trying to be like, I don't know, just make a good impression like, oh, here's some like nice different things.
Starting point is 00:44:40 Where I grew up in Colorado, I didn't know he was eating literal slim gyms at 34. Salted meat. Yeah. The white trash comes from my dad's side because in Denver I grew up in the burbs. But I have a mixture of, uh, nils. 90s suburban and white trash snacks. Yeah. Combined.
Starting point is 00:45:01 I literally, so I hummus to me is on a day I'm being good. Yeah. And I'm watching my day. WrestleMania is about four. And this is for like five or six people over. We're talking five to six two liters. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:18 We're talking four bags of chips. Yeah. We're talking chicken wings. We're talking pizza. Yeah. And we're talking sandwiches. and then there's a box of donuts, there's fucking M&Ms,
Starting point is 00:45:30 they went down to that. They knew, the bodega knew when it was a Royal Rumble or WrestleMania because I was coming in and I was grabbing everything. Yeah, I've misread the room
Starting point is 00:45:40 so hard in that situation. I should have brought combos and fruit by the foot. I brought, yeah, that would have ruled. Fruit by the foot, I would have ate a football field.
Starting point is 00:45:49 He would have had it down. Like it would have been the three of us racing to eat like that. Lady in the tramping Evan lady in the tramping foot by this is so good I haven't had this so long I'm reading the paper
Starting point is 00:46:04 what's left on the paper Like putting like the tattoos On each other But I What's funny is what I The thing that I used to do a lot Was I would have people over for Royal Rumble Even if they weren't wrestling fans
Starting point is 00:46:18 Because I'd go we gamble on it It's a fun one And it is and you come over And then we'd see how many people we'd get And we'd usually do five dollars a number and then you know like everybody would get 30 contestants so like usually I'd have six people over and they get five yeah we do the math however it works out but sometimes I'd have people over and they'd be like kind of similar to what you do they go like oh I brought this
Starting point is 00:46:40 nice keesh yeah here's a cheese plate the upper west side and I'd go I guess we can put that with the fun dip but like they came in there they're like holy shit and then Vecchio I lived with Yeah. The most disciplined, health conscious. And dude, the next day you'd be like, you got to get this out of here.
Starting point is 00:47:00 Because there'd be like, yeah, bags left over and shit. And I'd be like, yeah, you're right. That's where I felt like a, like,
Starting point is 00:47:09 because he would see all the trash food. Yeah. And you know how, he's like, buddy, I'm trying to stay on my, trying to hit my macros. Dude,
Starting point is 00:47:16 I'm not, I'm doing the fasting thing. And there's a lot of options around. But I, that's the most like, homophobic senator that goes on grinder at the Republican National Convention, fucks a bunch of twinks, and then regrets it.
Starting point is 00:47:35 That was how I woke up after WrestleMania. I did a lot of awful shit last night. I did a lot of stuff that I don't even believe in. There's things in my body that don't need to be in there. I think I dipped a donut and pizza? What's wrong with it? Every WrestleMania I'd wake up. That Monday I'd always wake up like, oh, I ate like shit.
Starting point is 00:47:55 That's the right move, though, bro. Fuck it rules. Yeah. Woo, I was gone this year for WrestleMania. I was on the road, but I'm going to make sure I'm in the fucking books for next March. Wait, wait, wait, no. Yeah, but you're going to be Saudi mania. I'm not going to Saudi.
Starting point is 00:48:12 I don't go. I don't like, oh, but you know what? What's going to rule about Saudi mania? I mean, I can't believe I said that. Nothing's going to rule about that. It sucks. They should have never given Royal Royal. The Royal Rumble was sparsely populated.
Starting point is 00:48:27 I don't care how many lights in the fucking seats you have. Yeah. WrestleMania is going to suck. It sucks. They should have never gave it to Saudi. You took fucking... Even the press conference they were standing there like, come on. It sucks, man.
Starting point is 00:48:39 I was hoping the Iran war was going to go long enough that we wouldn't have to do it. We can't hold WrestleMania. Straight of our moves. Straight of our moves won. Open it up or close it, but I just... You're right. Man, I forgot it's next year. We've won and lost that war 18 times.
Starting point is 00:48:54 now i know i just am so sick of Saudi Arabia getting stuff that we like made wrestling is like dude wrestling is like if you're not going to go America for it yeah give one to london i was about to say London please give one to london yeah the fact that they haven't done it in it give it to australia give it to france french fucking backlash was one of the greatest things i've ever seen in my life London or france would be incredible Soccer chance for wrestlers. Dude, anytime that, like, wrestling is overseas, it's the best experience.
Starting point is 00:49:28 Because that's one thing, too, about America. Like, dude, other countries whoop our ass in crowd participation. Yeah, dude. I'm telling you right now, international and American wrestling fans, and you get your shit up. Yeah. Because international wrestling fans, fucking, dude, when the French were going,
Starting point is 00:49:45 oh, dude, and they're going, soccer, blah, when you kick out. And then just like, he really is, he really is. Yeah. Phenomeno. Phnomon. Oh, they're going, Roman rights,
Starting point is 00:49:56 Rom and Rades. They started that shit. I know. They started that shit. And then we don't do it half as good. At all. We don't do it half as well as them. And that's like all we had.
Starting point is 00:50:05 You'd be walking into the way, you know what Katie pointed it out during the World Cup? Because I loved watching the English fell in love with the Braves. So there was a big thing of the English fans. I'm a brave fan. Like the Atlanta Braves?
Starting point is 00:50:19 Yeah. Yeah. And all the English soccer fans were, going and they fell in love with one of your outfielders. And they'd be like, he's the man, he's the man.
Starting point is 00:50:29 And he like did a, hold on. How recently was this? Like two weeks ago. Oh shit. Maybe it's a cunia. It's not a cunia. It was your- Michael Harris?
Starting point is 00:50:38 Yes. And it was Michael Harris. And they were going like, Michael Harris. And they were singing. And at the end, they were like, oh, you know how they trade jerseys. And he's like, I can't give you my jersey.
Starting point is 00:50:46 But he gave the guy his hat. Awesome. And the guy gave him his UK. It's online. It's a great clip. That's the shit. That's what I loved watching was I loved watching European fans come over here and enjoy American sports. So similarly, the Scots got super into Boston.
Starting point is 00:51:03 Okay. And they went to a Red Sox game and I was following it on, Katie was following it for me on TikTok and I was following it on Instagram. Yeah. And they would go to Red Sox games and they would sing like Dancing Queen and they'd sing all these songs. Katie pointed out, what's great about European fans and why they're better at participating? when they sing songs, they pause. So it sounds right. American fans have to keep yelling.
Starting point is 00:51:29 So they'll be like, Roman rights, Roman rights, Roman rights, and they'll do it. And we just go, Rob right, Romerite, we just like keep going.
Starting point is 00:51:37 You're like, once you pointed that out, it's all I've been noticing. They learned rhythm. Yes. European sports fans, specifically soccer fans, yeah,
Starting point is 00:51:46 have rhythm. Yes. We don't. Yeah. And it's also incredible, like the chance that they will come up with on the spot funny and like just like tearing it is like your wife cheated on you your wife cheated on you we all know she was sucking cock and then everybody knows and you're like what the whole stadium
Starting point is 00:52:02 clap like how do you know what NFL is missing the fucking boat right now like each like I want to because you know how um when the eagles score they do the fly eagles fly there's a song in Chicago that they have about the bears. The Bengals have a song. All these teams have a song. And here's the thing, if we're going to be honest, they suck. Yeah. They're all like 1950s like, and we're flying.
Starting point is 00:52:33 Yeah, it's that. We're flying towards the sky and here come the bears. Yeah. Yeah. It sucks. He's got the ball. He's running down to the 30. That's 20.
Starting point is 00:52:43 And if you want to play that song once a game to remember it and go like, my grandpa, used to sing this song. We are overdue to have a Euro soccer style song for your team. Yeah. And I think also, too, like the other countries don't have the cringe factor that Americans have.
Starting point is 00:53:06 Like, they are willing to let go. When I finally performed over there for the first time I did this, like, like two years ago I went over to the UK and did a run of the Glee clubs that they have out there. And the host was up there, like, you know, getting the crowd going.
Starting point is 00:53:19 He goes, like, me a hey, the crowd's like, hey, he's like, give me a ho. I'm like, yo, nobody in America would ever, like, they would feel uncool about it. Yeah. Or there's just no like, um, yeah, they just don't have any reservation about that. They're like, oh, we're going to sing. We're fucking singing then.
Starting point is 00:53:34 It's the way that New York comedians look at L.A. comedians. If New York comedians would perform half as hard as L.A. comedians would, we'd be such better comedians. I'm so on board with you. Like L.A., it's like you can knock their writing all you want, but they sell their They sell their jokes every fucking time. That's what always, like, trip me out about New York. Because, and I understand, like, too, there's an element of, like, our stages are smaller,
Starting point is 00:54:00 but at the same time. It is like being in a small kennel. Yeah. Just like, don't move. But at the same time, I'm like, this has always been a performance art. So perform. Like, good. That took me 20 years in comedy to really see that.
Starting point is 00:54:12 Yeah. Like, people who pointed out, I'm like, I don't know. And then now I see it. And you're like, oh, my God, it's obvious. We just don't perform. Yeah. We got like, anyways, that's, and I'm like, the other night at the cellar, I'm just like leaning on the wall. Leaning it on the wall with my hand behind my back being like, anyways, just like bouncing myself up off the thing.
Starting point is 00:54:28 And you're like, I don't know, stand up. Yeah. Fucking say it. And I'm not excusing myself. I'm saying this is something I need to do. Yeah. I think some somewhat New York audiences got trained with that too, where they're just like, oh, you're fucking, what are you trying? Performing at me.
Starting point is 00:54:41 Yeah, this guy's fucking trying. Yeah. But, like, you know, we grew up watching the same type of comedy, like, especially. Specials were shot in theaters. People are moving. They're performing. They're utilizing a space. So I'm like, yo, if you ever want to get to that stage, you have to prepare for that.
Starting point is 00:54:59 You have to like perform in a way that it's like, oh, no, no, no, this isn't about right now. This is about 10 years from now when I'm in a, you know, a thousand seat theater. Yes. And like having to get to those people up there. And that's where wrestling started. They performing for the guy in the last row. It's where they oversell everything. That's why everything's done.
Starting point is 00:55:16 It's you're performing for the room. And I think that really is true. Years ago when I opened for Colin one time, he was like after the show, he's like, what are you doing? He's like, you don't even fucking perform your jokes. He's like, you write all these jokes, you don't even perform them. You just stand there. And I was like, that's a great note.
Starting point is 00:55:31 Because I really wants to stand there being like, this is my fucking stupid joke. Well, that's like Chris Rock said that on inside the actor's studio. Yeah. He's just like, I pace. He's absolutely correct. Because if you're standing right there, they can go to their conversation and come back. You're still right there.
Starting point is 00:55:44 That's a great point. It's like you use the space. but American sports fans. And by the way, this doesn't have to be football. Basketball would be great. You've seen Serbian basketball? Have you seen how crazy they go in like Eastern Europe for basketball? It's like streamers and shit.
Starting point is 00:56:02 It reminded me of the first time I saw like a Ring of Honor or a New Japan show that went like hard in the paint where you're like, yo, they're throwing streamers in. Yeah, they go like crazy. They have chance. The crowd's like thumping. Well, that's how that like I used to not. watch pro ball when I was like in college. I just strictly watch college basketball because the kids were amp the entire time like watching Duke. The Duke. They're just like the Cameron crazies.
Starting point is 00:56:25 They're just jumping up and down. We need that. The entire time. Songs. It would make sports. You know what it would do is it would make sports more fun, but it would make people that aren't into sports. It's a way more like if you're like, so this is the song. We sing 49ers, 49ers. Here we go. 49ers. But it's gone, oh, no, no. No. And you just like sing it. That would be fucking awesome. It'd be great, dude. Do it NFL teams.
Starting point is 00:56:52 The first one that does it, because I'm telling you. They're going to blow up. It's the terrible towel. Yeah. Everyone now does a terrible towel. It's like when Cam did the dab and shit and everybody, like all the kids are doing the dad. Everybody will follow. If you have an NFL song for an NFL team, I guarantee you someone else in the league will do it.
Starting point is 00:57:08 And then you'll start seeing copy. You have to let personalities come through. Like that's why the NFL was so fun when people were pulling out fucking cell phones from under the inside of your own. Shout out Tio. You know, like, signing footballs? Yeah, that's what makes it fun. Then you're getting into that shit. Like, same thing with like, you know, the NBA when there's like, oh, shit, they out here styling and shit like that.
Starting point is 00:57:26 Yeah. I loved it. And also, that was also something that if you're old enough, you remember, they tried to take out of the NBA where they're like, let's not get crazy. And then you go, no, the personalities are what makes. Yeah. Everything's a soap opera. Yeah, it's like the, you know, early Lakers, Showtime Lakers, like actually turning them into an event. Entertainment.
Starting point is 00:57:42 Yeah. Like, turning the forum into a place that's like, oh. Yeah. That's all you got to do. That's all we're here to fucking do. It's turn it into entertainment. Yeah. Or else not,
Starting point is 00:57:50 it's just you're just playing a game to be boring. It's a fucking delaying game. You're a fucking lame game. You guys, boys are just chasing each other. You have your colors. I have my colors. I want the ball.
Starting point is 00:58:03 Ready, got. Jordan Fisher's special is out now, bits and pieces. We got the link down below. Follow him on social media. He's hilarious. He's on the road. Please watch it.
Starting point is 00:58:14 Thanks for coming by and talking wrestling. I knew that's what we were going to do. Same, dog. I was like, well, Jordan and I are going to talk wrestling because we've gone to a bunch of wrestling. Yeah.
